THE BEST DOWNHILL MTB TRAILS I'VE RIDDEN!!

you're welcome to Verbier in the Swiss Alps this little ski resort town is right in the center of steep-sided mountains this is like a hub and the center of freeride skiing and freeride snowboarding but it's fairly undiscovered in terms of bikes I think with more zeal in Lache places like that just up the road Verbier hasn't been fully discovered yet and I've come here because this is the home of Sun God my eyewear sponsor we've done two days filming for a new Signature Series pair of sunglasses which I've got coming out which is super cool and now I've got some time to write I'm gonna make a vlog for you guys to show you this crazy place because the trails I want to see the trails here are incredible arguably there's some of the best trails I've ever ridden and I've never been to the Swiss Alps but this place is insane shortly I'm meeting up with Ludo Mei who's a professional enduro racer he knows the landscape here he knows the trails he's going to show me some of the more I guess the more hardcore gnarly ones so I'm a bit nervous but I'm just excited to get my bike walking down some steep rocky shoots and just get some injera biking done I found Ludo it's like 30 degrees so this is Ludo may have found him yeah good man so do you pretty much live in Verbier yeah exactly just down in the valley okay and what's the plan for today you're the local oh yeah so to start and warm up we will do like a the blue trail from the bike park with some mixture with the red track and after I will show you some steeper and switchback in your trace say is it really steep here oh yeah well the torii is quite steep so yeah I like the idea of steep we don't have much of that in the UK so that's good news yeah bro I get to follow someone oh my tell he's local I love these flowy ones blue tracks always the best mate I can tell you're an enduro racer cuz you're not even breathing and I'm like yeah I realize like when I want they thought like she doesn't know what you read he thought was he's really slow oh my god no I'm house irrational come on let's carry on on their prove to you I should give up these switchbacks are incredible so good [Applause] they'll stick to Scandinavian flick I'm rich struggling here come on dig in oh my word make my arms yeah like that track is next level it's crazy coming to these bike parts now like the days of downhill bikes kind of seemed over these bikes are just perfect did you have different especially in those tight switchbacks you can is gonna rock oh you can I was very impressed you're nine yeah blue track what's next more of the same we can't keep going but it's more like more jobs which are like between more for beginners so maybe we will just Travis like ANSI get track wait we're not pedaling up hills right yeah that's bad news I had a feeling I'd be its force to pedal up I mean it's no easy we can do that yes upgrades right red track next I'm gonna switch to the chest cam to for a new perspective of the POV performance where are we going down here no I've flown all the way to Switzerland for chair lifts and gondolas you can't do this to me really I think it's better no it's not better hey maybe later how about we hit something a bit more secret out of the bike park yeah yeah we're gonna be sick that's why I was excited to hang out and ride with a local because they always know always know the secret stuff was your Ludo just told me a little secret and he he's raced against my brother Johnny before and he always thought it was me that's funny now you know I want you to ride properly okay test myself okay and then by the second corner I'll be screaming no please stop when you see stop I'm tired upset and alone yeah bro but a pumptrack it's not even a downhill track oh no it is a downhill track yeah bro oh it's already gone Wow these times a stick I literally cannot keep up with this guy Wow Wow one of the best tracks I've ever ridden Wow the best man you have ever done yeah brother Oh yes the world the world man oh my god give me the best corners I've ever ridden yeah that's the best that's just a rollercoaster hello mate hi line I snowdrop who knows already in the distance oh my dude if you have stopped fighting to be said oh my mate that fadeaway section when he went round if you hit that you would be dead Ray's been raining last night did you see they were like this it's bigger yeah a little River yeah dry river we could have killed ourselves in oh yes I could have been buried in Switzerland finally a chairlift thank you for bringing me back to civilization okay ludos told me we've got a big plan now we're not staying in the bike park which was the plan but I didn't realize what we're really dealing with he said I've got huge water trough he said we're gonna ride a really really really long trail it starts up here and goes down into the next village below Verbier and it's 1,400 meters is that right 1400 meters of vertical descending which is almost a mile just under a mile that's insane I don't think I've ever done I might have no I've probably never done anything like that two days ago sweeping crap off of my air bag now we're here in like the freshest most insane place I've been in a long time we're about to ride one of the longest trails going so you lead the way remember I'm not as fast as you not as fit as you we are we are here for the fun so no worries he says that he just keep leaving me behind more pedaling here we go this is the start of the trail exactly it's one of the most epic starts of a trail I've ever seen in my whole life I know I was moaning about all the pedaling but I have to say I feel extremely lucky to be out here riding my bike it's insane alright let's strap in and go this is going to be 1,400 meters of descending Oh sloppy through there we have to cross we seriously have to cross no way [Applause] oh it's a bit more damp in the woods oh it's like loam here blow me this is got a bit of everything a slice of the whole pie ticking all the boxes Wow this is top of the world in there look at this place see this is tech man see so for tech I love it haha so tight wow how are you doing that you're a boss left me behind oh okay yeah we need a bit of action oh these burns are insanely tight yeah like if you hide it downhill bike you probably couldn't ride on oh I will tell you at some point it's quite exposed so try to not do the same move really well die no no [Applause] Wow yeah now he's switchback II I show you these are the tightest corners I've ever seen yes what my turn at that get this one those two did you do this one oh for God's sake put down that's already minus ten points oh I think one little tip for people watching which has never been more apparent its how important it is to keep the chin up and keep your eyes ahead when you're riding down you're like there's so many little surprises on these tracks and if you're not looking ahead you just run out of time to think and plan dude that's the cliff I'll spot about four inches always dying then Wow oh oh we just ran it down oh yeah that's got to be one of the greatest tracks in like Europe surely [Music] perfect [Music]
