hello and welcome to the schedule Channel and today let me tell you what are the best CPU and GPU combos you can get in the later half of 2023. this is a much needed update for my last CPU and GPU combos video because prices for graphics cards processors motherboards and especially RAM have dramatically changed since I made that last video and a lot of my recommendations for the best CPU GPU combos have definitely changed as well and unlike last video I'm not going to be categorizing each of these combos off of their price but instead just by how good each combo is as far as its performance value utility and features go for example the cheapest CPU and GPU combo I have in this video which also includes the price of the motherboard and the ram starts at 350 dollars and that's because if you go any lower than that you're just going to get shafted in terms of performance and it's just not going to turn out well for you so I'm going to be providing you guys six different CPU and GPU combos throughout this video which once again include the price of the motherboard and the ram that are buried off of performance and price but I'm also going to be showing you guys an Intel and AMD option for each of these Combos and describing their individual pros and cons based off of whatever platform you want to go with are you still with me I hope I didn't scare you I just needed to go through all that Preamble in the first place just to tell you guys that I really want to make this video a step up from the last one which Speaking of links to every single one of these a link to each of these laptops in the description below so our first CPU and GPU combo this is going to be the best for a cheap gaming PC for the processor I think you should get a ryzen 5 4500 for 77 you can pair this up with a fairly inexpensive bu450 motherboard preferably Micro ATX for about 75 dollars a really cheap 16 gigabyte kit of ddr4 ram running at 3 600 megahertz at 50 and this CPU motherboarded Ram will come out to about two hundred dollars now I think this is actually not too bad because you can get a pretty hefty upgrade from that ryzen 5 4500 if you wanted to through the means of a ryzen 5 5600x 3D or 5800 X 3D if you want later down the road and yes that will be supported even on that budget b450 motherboard that is indeed possible with a bios update and there shouldn't be any real conflictions with that so there's actually some pretty decent CPU upgradability if you wanted to go down this path it's also the cheapest but just keep in mind that this is a dead platform because am4 is on Old ddr4 RAM and as far as we knew we know those x3d chips are going to be the highest and CPU offerings for that am4 platform for the rest of time again for as far as we know and then for the GPU I pair up with this combo gonna be real with you you can't get anything good that's brand new you just about have only one graphics card out there from Intel and quite frankly what you can get for the same price used is so good it outweighs any negative effects you could come across with getting a used graphics card with it being out of warranty maybe being used for mining and maybe being in an owner's hands that didn't take good care of it but I really don't think those are huge issues from what I've seen and from what others I've seen because I want you to get yourself a used Radeon RX 5700 XT this is currently I think an S tier rank in my used GPU video so get yourself one of those or if you want to save a little bit of money give yourself a regular RX 5700 and consider bios flashing it with the 5700 XT bios for extra performance for free which you can follow video tutorials online on how to do that once again please get a used RX 5700 XT if you don't have a lot of money for a graphics card it is by far the best used graphics card deal and definitely is worth it even if it's used that's going to come out to about 350 and this is most ideal for a budget gaming PC around 500 or so that quite frankly can get you some actually really good 1080p gaming performance and pretty much almost spot on 1440p gaming performance it's pretty good then for our next CPU and GPU combo I'm going to present to you guys two different options from AMD and Intel and this is best for a traditional budget gaming PC that's going to cost around 700 like my last one that I filmed over the weekend so here on the AMD side we have the AMD ryzen 5 5600 with a 145 dollar price tag pair that up with a Micro ATX b550 motherboard again the same 16 gigabyte kit of ram like from the last combo and that's going to be about 300 before your graphics card and then for the Intel side you can look into the Intel I3 12 100f for 93 dollars along with a ddr5 version of a b760 motherboard and 32 gigabytes of ddr5 RAM running at 5600 megahertz and that all comes out to about the same price of three hundred dollars so between these two different CPU combinations they both present their own pros and cons the ryzen option is going to be much faster but just like the last combo it is on a dead platform and unlike with the other one with this you're most probably going to upgrade to about like a 5600x 3D or a 5800x 3D and yes those will be a lot faster than a 5600 but that's it if you wanted to upgrade to the next generation of processors from ryzen you're gonna have to buy a whole new motherboard a whole new kit of ram because ddr4 isn't supported on ryzen 7000 and who knows what Intel is going to come out with as well in future Generations so it's on a dead platform whereas the Intel option is more future proof because you can upgrade from that I3 12th gen to up to a 14th gen i7 processor coming out this fall if you wanted to but in its initial state with that I3 it is going to be much slower than the ryzen 5 5600 option so if you want something that's faster now and you're just going to deal with it then go with the ryzen option but if you want something that isn't going to be as fast right now but can last you a long while and you won't have to spend extra money say upgrading all your components to a new CPU then that I3 option from Intel could be the smarter Choice then for the graphics card I have two options both new and used which are for 200 brand new the Intel Arc a750 this is absolutely one of the best brand new graphics cards you can buy brand new in terms of value performance features and utility and it's been over a year since they've released and they've very much refined as far as their overall performance goes and it's a really awesome Workhorse for 200 if you can find one for that cheap then for the use GPU option it's going to be the same one as the last combo get yourself a used Radeon RX 5700 XT it is so good you might as well pick it up over that art graphics card if you want ultimate performance but if you want something that's newer comes with a warranty comes with the av1 codec to allow for better game recording and gamer streaming and I think maybe better Ray tracing performance don't quote me on that and then the arc a750 could be the way to go and this will come out to about 500 for both Combos and this is most ideal for a 1440p 60fps or 1080p above 165 FPS gaming PC that's going to be about 700 to 750 so a lot of you who are probably watching this video are most probably going to be looking at this CPU and GPU combo then if we go up in price by about 150 this is the best for a mid-range gaming PC you have two CPU platform options from AMD and Intel that being a ryzen 5 7 500 F yes that is a CPU that exists on the AMD side that costs about 180 dollars you can pick yourself up at an expensive b650m motherboard from ASRock for about 125 dollars again 32 gigabytes of ddr5 RAM at 80 bucks and free GPU that's going to be about 385 dollars it's a little bit pricey and on the Intel side it is a little bit cheaper because you can get yourself an i5 12400f another b760m d35 motherboard 32 gigs of ddr5 RAM now it's going to come out to 350 now between both of these com combos the ryzen one is definitely going to be faster and it is going to be more future proof the am5 sock kit from AMD for those ryzen 7000 processors are going to be supported until 2025 and maybe even beyond that so if you invest and ryzen 7000 right now you are going to be safely assured that you'll have CPU support for a long while and you won't need to upgrade your motherboard or your RAM at all if you want to save money in the long run whereas the Intel option is initially cheaper but it's slower and yes there is a decent CPU upgrade path because once again you can upgrade to a fourth Gene gen Intel processor which those will come out this fall but I think between the two get yourself a 7500 F it's going to be on a better CPU socket that's going to be supported in the long run because after 1410 that Intel socket is going to be killed off for the eventual 15th gen Intel chips on a brand new socket then for GPU options I got quite a few so brand new I I think a Radeon RX 7600 for about 260 dollars and maybe even 250 on a discount is a pretty solid 1080p entry level 1440p gaming GPU I definitely rate it but I'm going to provide a second option here and that is the GeForce RTX 4060 with an at-risk next to it and that is because if you're looking into that graphics card I think it's okay at a certain price tag if you can get one on discounts for 280 or less then I think it's worth it over the horizon over the Radeon RX 7600 and that's because although the raw performance of both those graphics cards are basically the same for only about an extra 20 to 30 dollars more you get access to dlss 3.0 slightly better Ray tracing and yeah that's about it but the big one being dlss 3.0 but once again if you find an RTX 4060 for 300 then I still think it's worth picking up that Radeon 7600 over that graphics card because it is cheap enough to make up for it because if you're going to spend about 300 on a graphics card then I recommend you stay tuned for the next CPU and GPU combo because it'll blow away the RTX 4060 in terms of overall performance for not that much more and then used ironically get yourself a used RX 6700 XT for just below 260 dollars that's what I've been seeing them sold for on eBay and other websites and that in total will come out to about 650 for the AMD option and 600 for the Intel option and this is most ideal for a slightly higher end entry now I could say it's a mid-tier 1440p gaming PC potentially depending on the game then I guess this is part two to my last CPU and GPU combo because once again you can go with eye of those two Intel or AMD options for your CPU platform but for the graphics card it is absolutely worth looking at getting a brand new 6700 XT if you don't want to get one used because although I'm going to put the price at 340 dollars you can find these on discount for 320 and going into this holiday season I know they're going to be eventually just discontinued as far as production goes but they're probably going to get some pretty nice discounts on the way out and that is when you can probably get that graphics card for the absolute best price they've ever been for and it's a graphics card that's aged incredibly well the raw performance is punching well above its price but if you want something used I think grabbing yourself a used RTX 2080 TI for about the same price is also not a bad option it will be slightly faster than the RX 6700 XT it's gonna have better rate racing performance but it won't have support for DLS s 3.0 just regular dlss but still it's a pretty hefty graphics card for about that price and this more or less it's just going to be the last CPU and GPU combo just better optimized for 1440p gaming then for our next CPU and GPU combo this is best for a premium gaming PC that's gonna cost about 1300 to maybe twelve hundred dollars depending on how much you spend on additional components and that is because from AMD and Intel we have the ryzen 570 600x along with a b650 motherboard 32 gigabytes of ddr5 RAM although it gets some faster options for Ram there for a little bit more for about five hundred dollars and then on the Intel side we have the Intel i7 12 700 KF once again get yourself a b760d or five motherboard 32 gigs of ddr5 RAM again slightly faster clock because why not and it's going to be just about the same price now I think this is actually a little bit decisive between the two because on the AMD side it's going to be more future proof because that socket is going to be supported until 2025. it is going to be slightly faster than the Intel i7 option but there are less cores and threads whereas on the Intel side you're on a socket that's going to be discontinued next year although you will have some pretty decent a CPU upgrade options in the form of the 14th gen or 13th gen i7 options if you wanted to take that route but it will be slightly slower than that ryzen 5 7600x despite it having fewer cores and threads which is an advantage for the i7 if you want to do any productivity workloads or rendering applications that use the CPU this is honestly 50 50. I really like how the i7 option has more cores and threads which is always nice to have but the ryzen option is going to be better for long term and for saving you money in the long term as well because you won't have to replace your motherboard for the next CPU upgrade whereas with that Intel option after fourth Gene gen that is moving on to a new socket so you will have to buy yourself a new motherboard at the end of the day but it's not too much I guess it is a little bit of a commitment then for the GPU option for about 9 out of 10 of you watching this video looking at this combo get yourself a Radeon RX 7800 XT that's a pretty done deal for 500 it's probably the best priced graphics card right now out there from this latest generation so if you wanted the latest and greatest from AMD that has better Ray tracing support and support for the av1 codec over say a previous generation Radeon graphics card then look no further than the 7800 XT for its price you're getting a lot of bang for buck and quite honestly for the majority of you watching this video you don't need to spend any more than the CPU and GPU combo if you want an excellent PC gaming experience however it might be worth looking into the RTX 4070 if it's on a discount if you can get one for 550 dollars then it's all right because it's kind of the same situation as the RTX 4060 you do have access to dlss 3.0 and slightly better Ray tracing's gaming support support but at the expense of this time lower raw performance at a higher price and with lower vram too because that has 12 gigs versus the 7800 xt's 16 gigs so it's okay but overall I'm gonna have to give the kind of weight to the 7800 XT because it is just faster in terms of raw performance without the need of any upscalers and it is cheaper and it comes with more vram which is pretty nice at this 500 price tag then for our next combo this is best for a high-end gaming PC which quite frankly the last CPU and GPU combo I think was plenty for like 90 of you watching this video but if you're going to be playing on a 4k monitor then one of these two CPU and GPU combos could be for you on the A and B side we have the ryzen 7700 the b650 motherboard that's going to be a little bit more beefed up around 210 dollars with the same Ram as the last CPU and GPU combo and it's going to come out to about 600 and on the Intel end we have the I5 13600 KF on a z790 motherboard so if you wanted to overclock it you do have that option although in my opinion you don't have to overclock it it's already going to be blazing fast same RAM and it's going to be a bit cheaper at 600 now as far as the pros and cons go the ryzen option is again going to be better for future proofing because the am5 saw kit is going to be supported until 2025 that is going to be excellent if you wanted to upgrade your CPU to something significantly faster in the future whereas with the Intel option after 14th gen that is it and I think that's emphasized because this is a 13th gen option and in comparison to Fourth team gen which is just going to be a refresh of 13th gen I don't think it's going to be that significantly faster then for the GPU option there is really only one out there that I recommend spending this much on and that is going to have to be the Radeon RX 7900 XT at 800 you I mean I think you were already going to be really well off with this 7800 XT but with a 7900 XT it just takes it up to a whole new level you get access to 20 Gigabytes of vram in an 800 graphics card which is much more appropriate than the RTX 470 TI with 12 gigabytes of vram at a more expensive price of about 825 dollars so whereas my last CPU in GPU combo the RTX 470 TI at the time was slightly cheaper than the RX 7900 XT now fast forward to September and the 700 XT is not only cheaper but it's just going to be flat out faster in most scenarios which is why I recommend it if you want to do any basic 4K gaming or unlimited 1440p gaming on about a 1400 CPU and GPU combo then for our final CPU and GPU combo there isn't an option from Intel because it just gets absurdly overpriced from them because you really want to get just one CPU at this price point and that is the ryzen 7 7800 X 3D which is on discount at 390 now I'm letting you know this right now but as a gamer you really don't need more than eight cores you literally don't for more gaming performance you're only going to want to look into more cores if you know you're going to be utilizing applications that are going to be useful for multi-core multi-threaded CPUs above a course which for 95 percent of you watching this video is not going to apply to you you do not need more than eight cores and at that so remember you're given 16 threads to work with with this 7800 X 3D and as far as gaming performance goes as well it outperforms the 7900 X 3D and the 7950x3d and if you don't believe me please watch any of those Benchmark videos on the 7800 x3d comparing it to its bigger brothers that cost more and are slower as far as gaming performance goes so get that with an X 670 motherboard for about 280 dollars ball out with like a 32 gigabyte ddr5 kit of ram running at about 6 400 megahertz this is going to cost you just above a hundred dollars and that all in all should come out to about 770 dollars and as far as the graphics card option goes a 7900 XTX is the most extreme I'd go and the best part is that it is on a pretty nice discount right now at 950 which I think is a lot more reasonable than say spending sixteen hundred dollars on a graphics card remember you're given 24 gigabytes of vram on this graphics card it can do ray tracing really well just because it is so damn fast and yes it may not have dlss but at this price point you're already getting tons of frames per seconds and only look into this CPU and GPU combo if you plan to do unlimited 4K gaming if you are at all gonna pair this with a 1440p monitor like what I found out in my PC build guide using this same CPU and GPU combo you'll find out that it's completely pointless because it just blows anything out of the water I would only look into an RTX 4080 or 4090 in this level of a combo if you explicitly plan to run games that actually utilize Ray tracing effectively like cyberpunk that game with path Ray tracing is one of a kind you can only really do it on Nvidia graphics cards and it's a very unique and graphically pleasing experience but that is one game out of many so depends do you want to spend an extra 600 to have a better experience in cyberpunk 2077 or save yourself 600 and get a graphics card that'll do about 95 of the capability of one of those two other graphics cards in most gaming applications and I think you'll be much better set with this graphics card over those two much more expensive options and that all comes out to about Seventeen hundred dollars which is best for about above a 2000 dollar gaming PC you could probably optimize this a little bit more with a b650 motherboard like what I did in that 2000 gaming PC build guide but at this point you guys probably have too much money and uh yeah I would not spend any more than that CPU and GPU combo so
