oh I get a lot of compliments for me and especially they say Oh your gray hair is so sexy I'm like what really it does make me feel like royalty my gray hair is my superpower because it gives me a certain type of strength I love my hair because it is my truth it's natural it was you know god-given in a world where we're living in so much fabrication it's lovely to have something that's just wonderfully me it gives me life it's Who I am I think without my gray hair probably would not feel as strong and then I'm able to empower other women to encourage them to go gray to just embrace their natural beauty my parents both were gray very young and I started having gray hair at 18 many years prior I get color my hair I colored it I dyed it black I tried to embrace it you know by listening to my my oldest nephew and he was like oh it's hard to just please just go ahead and just let it go leave the Reds and the Pink's alone just go ahead and rock your silver in your gray it was like I don't know about this I felt like if I will go completely gray that that would instantly put me into like an old lady category or something like that well I have to be honest I had no choice I tried to dye it trust me I went the route that everybody does my hair is not porous it wouldn't take the dye but as soon as I embraced it it was like life-changing like I discover who I am I would get stopped on the subway at work down the street so I'm like okay this very thing it's not a bad thing it just attracts everyone in everything young old man woman like it doesn't matter it just stops people I do get a lot of women on my Instagram reach out to me and ask for some advice or say maybe I've influenced them to stop coloring and dyeing their hair I meet a lot of women that are older than I am and they'll say insulae you know what I'm just going ahead embrace my braid it makes me feel good knowing that I make them feel good about themselves so I'm like girl hair right there gray [Music] the majority of the world's population now is 50 and over the implications on that are huge and so my contention is that we have to start rebranding aging there is nothing anti about aging our whole purpose is to live so anti aging is actually anti living so my whole thing right now is empowered aging dynamic aging powerful aging positive aging you could still be fun and vibrant and young which are ready I love my gray hair because it's brought me so many blessings it's changed my life did not expect at you I was just being true to myself owning my own truth and in doing so it has brought in so many guys [Music]
