up we're in the presence of the lord i just want to welcome all of you want to welcome our online family as well i just every sunday the worship team we gather and we pray before we come out here and this morning when i walked in i heard tears and i heard singing and worshiping unto the lord by our worship team and i walked in i thought wow this is going to be a holy amazing day today and our prayer was that god would just increase it because we come for jesus we're not here to play church we're not here to worship to entertain you we're here to minister to the lord today that's why we gather that's why we come for jesus and that's my prayer that the lord would just increase that and that we would all be so aware of his nearness today so can we pray for that real quick oh holy spirit we welcome you today into this place lord into this church lord jesus this is your church we are your people we welcome you god come on church just agree with me we welcome you jesus into this place today lord these are not words that we just say to say lord we mean them with all of our heart jesus we welcome you we say come lord jesus come come on just say that with me church come lord jesus come we welcome you holy spirit lord i thank you jesus what you birthed even this morning with the worship team lord that it will just increase god lord that there will be a tangible awareness of you jesus lord we thank you jesus that your word says lord that you're in the midst of us so you're right here jesus you're right here and we are so aware lord that you are right here so we welcome you king of kings and lord of lords have your way today lord save the lost today in jesus name oh lord heal the sick in the name of jesus today lord set the captive free in jesus name lord we thank you for your presence jesus we welcome you have your way in jesus name amen amen [Music] can we just start thanking the lord this morning just start lifting up your thankful hearts come on don't wait for us to start thanking him this morning jesus we respond to you come on start lifting your voice this morning start pouring out your thankful hearts this morning come on come on that we can either look at this as a platform but we can look at this as an altar we choose to come and lay [Music] for down you did for what you did jesus we're not gonna be spectators this morning you're so worthy jesus [Music] [Applause] [Music] tears have a blood of thorns you gave it all [Music] there is no [Music] what you've done here was more than enough more than enough for the cross what you've done the a realization that needs to be had of what we're actually singing this morning that these are not just words that he actually came as a man and he died on a cross and he shed his every single drop of blood for us so that we could come here freely not to a platform but to an altar to come and worship him and to lay our hearts down and to love him and to pour ourselves out before him because he poured himself out for us may we never forget what he did may we never never forget what he did that he saved us he took our place on the cross that should have been us on the cross and he took it so we're gonna sing this again we're gonna sing this again i want you to close your eyes and i want you to picture jesus on the cross because don't look at us we're not here we didn't die on the cross for you but we are gonna come together in unity is one and we are going to come with such thankful hearts this morning with a thankfulness that we have never come with before and we are going to reach down deep and we are going to pour it on his feet we're going to pour it on his feet this morning because he is worthy of every voice of every song and we will not let the rocks cry out in our place this morning come on so lifting your voice lifting your voice i can't sing your song for you i can't give your thankfulness for you come on come on he's easy to worship he is easy to adore [Music] on [Applause] thank you [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] most times what a beautiful name it [Music] [Applause] what a is name it is [Music] jesus [Music] [Applause] i said it was great your love was [Music] greater [Music] what a wonderful name it is the name of jesus christ what a wonderful name it is name of jesus what a wonderful name it is the name of jesus [Music] [Applause] [Music] you [Music] the heavens are roaring of your glory for your [Music] race [Music] yours is the kingdom is the glory yours is [Music] is [Music] [Applause] now [Applause] [Music] what is powerful name it is [Music] come on [Music] [Applause] [Music] if yeah [Applause] come on [Applause] yours is [Music] [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] yours is [Music] you may sing that again [Music] what a powerful name it is the name of jesus christ [Music] what a powerful name it is [Music] [Music] for the next two or three minutes i just want you to stand there with your eyes closed and i want you to quiet your heart quiet your soul and hear every word i'm about to say [Music] the bible says that the thief comes to steal kill and destroy the enemy does not come to give us a worse day than we're already having he comes to kill and he comes to destroy as dumb and the team were leading that song i felt the urgency of the heart of god the urgency that's filling his heart for your soul friends you did not bring yourself here this morning [Music] nobody just walked into this room this morning the holy spirit brought you here this morning before you were ever born god knew you'd be here in the room this morning and i feel strongly i feel strongly that god has come with this furious love to bring the compromiser home [Music] i want you to weigh in the scales of your heart the truth of the word of jesus he said that there is a place of outer darkness of absolute darkness where the fire is not quenched that's what jesus said the same jesus who blessed his little children that's on the cover of children's books and greeting cards the same jesus that we put on banners that says jesus is love also said without forsaking his love that there is a place where the worm does not die [Music] a place of utter torment and why did he say that not so that you would spend eternity there no the bible says god is not willing that any man anyone should perish the bible speaks of the coming of jesus the second coming saying he's not slack he's not being lazy he's not late it's taking this long because he wants men and women to repent the scripture teaches and turn from their sin [Music] and jesus has come not to give you away or offer away but as the way the bible teaches us listen carefully with your eyes closed just standing this is a very holy moment and i feel the authority of jesus flowing through this room the bible teaches that we are taught and that we should number our days friend nobody will just be in this body forever everyone in this room should the lord terry and his return will breathe their last i want you to think about that i want to give you permission right now to ponder eternity how long is it how long is it if god himself says the flame is not quenched how brutal are the flames how long do the flames last how long is forever and ever and ever and the bible actually teaches that hell has enlarged herself that's what the scripture says ella's enlarged herself because masses and masses unfortunately unfortunately and it should break our hearts are headed for a godless eternity filled with anguish that did not need to take place because the bible says that god sent his one and only son his one and only son that whosoever this is jesus himself speaking in john chapter 3 whosoever that's everyone in this room that's everyone listening to me in their homes right now whosoever the crack addict the porn addict the anger addict this person who's bound to sexual perversion and immorality that person too the person who's been divorced the person who feels like an outcast the person who feels rejected by family the person who feels like a slave to their own body to that person too whosoever would believe in him cast their life that word means to throw their life and utter trust upon jesus will not die will not suffer death will not suffer eternity without god will not die but have everlasting life and everlasting life does not mean to exist forever people are existing forever in hell eternal life is a person john 17 3 for this is eternal life that they would know you the one true god and jesus christ whom you've sent jesus said that too those are letters in red so this morning you can leave here doubt free you can leave here free from sin and washed from sin and that word belief to believe in jesus in john 3 16 it doesn't mean mental belief that's not even the meaning of the word it means to cast the entirety of your trust in life upon this person named jesus christ to repent and to follow him and in return he will give you his very spirit to live inside of you with every head bowed an eye closed i believe in my heart that many of you many of you are feeling the weight the convicting power of the holy spirit drawing you drawing you to the loving feet of jesus this one who offers you what the world will never offer you come unto me who else said that all you who are weary if you're tired in this room of trying to do this life it's because you're doing it alone if you're heavy laden if you feel like you're carrying the weight of the world you were never meant to you didn't create it and jesus said i will give you rest if you want to rest for your soul this morning and you want to give all to jesus if you want to come back to jesus i want you to lift your hand all over this room you say that's me i'm coming home i'm coming home put him up high and wave in boldness this is the hour of mercy now if you raised your hand or you wish you did very very very just give me a second here children if you can hear me and you want to come give your heart to jesus this morning you come as well i want you to look at your mom and dad right now and say mom and dad i want to give my life to jesus or whoever brought you say i want to give my life to jesus this morning if you brought someone this morning there's a good chance you know the status of their life their lifestyle this is just isn't the hour guys what's going on around the world right now is all written in scripture jesus is coming back wars rumors of wars people groups against people groups famine disease all of this has been prophesied and is being fulfilled perfectly this is not the hour to do church this is the hour to give all to jesus and so if you brought someone this morning you know you know them you know their fruit i want you to look them in the eye and say hey do you need to get down there i'll go with you do it right now do it right now look i'm straightening out if there's any question in your heart that that person you brought is truly following the lord i don't mean attending church but truly following the lord i want you to look them in the eye and say i will go down with you you do the work of the lord right now as an evangelist and lead them to jesus if you raised your hand or you wish you did i want you to get down here right now come on get down here and give your life to the lord this is for those who who are away from god for those who've never yielded their life come come down here and get down on your knees give your life to the lord come come many of you raise your hands you come come down come down and give your life to jesus thank you paul praise you jesus oh give the lord praise thank you lord this is wonderful i want our team to just begin surrounding these people who come this young man here come come close come close i want us to begin surrounding them yeah thank you father come on floyd bath joe all of you come emily come on just come on let's welcome them home let's welcome them home let's welcome them home let's welcome them home this is wonderful [Music] thank you father [Applause] thank you father how the lord must love you all rarely do i break up a worship song to get up and preach but i felt it strongly if you've come forward right now the best you can as a little child i want you to take your heart and life and offer it to the lord jesus i can't do that for you i really can't even teach you to do that you don't need me to the holy spirit is leading you to him isn't this wonderful guys i said isn't this wonderful oh come on this should make us really happy thank you father the bible teaches that we are to believe in our heart and confess with our mouth and so right now we are going to confess with our mouth the lord jesus and give him our lives can we just stretch our hands everybody out there in their seats stretch their hands if you've come forward let's this is the precious moment where a great exchange will take place let's all declare this out loud especially those of you who've come forward heavenly father i have sinned against you forgive me cleanse me wash me in the blood of jesus dearest jesus i am sorry i believe that you died on the cross that you shed your blood that you were buried and three days later raised from the dead you are alive today you are seated at the right hand of the father you have ascended on high and you are coming back again you are the king of kings and the lord of lords receive my life lord jesus as i receive yours jesus i repent i turn from my sin and i place all my trust all my faith is in you and you alone in jesus name amen amen now the bible says listen to this that if one sinner repents the angels of heaven rejoice i want us to mirror heaven right now and just give the lord praise [Applause] listen very carefully for those of you who've come forward this is dion as scary as he looks he's he's not too scary and that's let's just remain standing here for a moment and that's for the rest of you too i really felt the burden of the lord this morning and i believe there were some in the room who want to follow the lord and just resist it a bit if that was you i want you to find dion after service and as far as you have come forward i want you to meet dion after the meeting at the new believers table and we're going to help equip you and just make sure that you really walk with jesus there is no reason for you to live a life like this up and down it just doesn't even make sense there's no reason for it you have everything at your disposal the treasury of heaven at your disposal the very presence of the holy spirit himself and so there are a few things you need to do daily to walk and live a victorious life number one read your bible every day every day i mean every day go to your bible before you go to your phone you can stay up here deal go to your bible before you go to your phone and the people said okay pray every day if you're too busy to pray you're too busy and actually busyness is part of the curse but that's another teaching okay if you're too busy to pray you're too busy spend time with the lord in prayer number three get baptized in water that's not a recommendation that is a command from jesus we do that once a month at church we'll put you through a nice wonderful teaching course you'll know what's happening and you'll understand the faith it'll be rooted deep in your heart and you go into the waters and it's powerful and it is a full-blown encounter with the holy spirit all right number four give your heart to a people in god's presence that's called church church is not a building we're having church today at the sheraton something tells me that when sheridan built this in the 80s they did not build it as a church but god had other plans for this ballroom god had other plans for it okay the church is a people in the presence of god who are filled with the presence of god lastly listen carefully look at me you just received jesus by mercy and grace what you do not go do now is try to live in your own strength that's not what he's asking you came by grace you were led of the spirit now you're going to live and walk in the spirit in the power of the spirit and that leads me to my last and final item i want to talk to you about and that is the empowerment of the holy spirit the power the baptism of the holy spirit jesus said you shall receive power after the holy spirit has come upon you why do you need that power to lead others to the jesus that you're falling in love with amen so we're going to pray now i can't make any guarantees but we're going to pray now that the lord would touch you he may touch you this morning he may touch you when you get home he may touch you tonight while you're sleeping i don't know i only know the lord is faithful and that his word is true so i want our team just to gather around them i want everyone to stretch their hands i'm going to pray this prayer and i'm going to ask the pot the lord jesus who is the baptizer in the holy spirit in power and the holy spirit in fire to anoint you with power father in jesus name come on i want everyone out there just praying in the spirit father in jesus name come upon pray i want you all to pray hit hit the drums a few times there jose father in the mighty name of jesus christ that's right church just begin praying let the power of the holy spirit come upon them jesus release the power of the holy ghost upon them to be witnesses witnesses and their families in their homes in the world they live in in their jobs in their schools use them i pray for your name sake just pray for about 30 more seconds guys pray in faith praise faith come wonderful holy spirit and clothe them in power clothe them in power [Music] in jesus name come on give the lord praise can we please help them out can we help them up guys give the lord praise let's help them back to their seats i want you all to welcome them home thank you lord i lord we want to constantly be aware of your presence that is our prayer the holy spirit have a home here jesus trust us with your glory and presence that's our prayer as a church that you would trust us with your glory do in us whatever you need to do to make us a trustworthy people [Music] say that i want you to close your eyes i really feel this strongly say that out loud say jesus make me someone you can trust with your glory say that again jesus make me someone you can trust with your glory say it again jesus make me someone you can trust with your glory lord you heard our prayer and so we give our amen say amen in jesus name now seal it with praise oh come on give the lord praise hallelujah oh you are faithful you are faithful you are faithful you are faithful people thank you much we are certainly spoiled i can say that because i've grown up in church and i've seen some stuff and that is a good worship team i'll leave it there are you happy this morning are you ready for a are we doing the the oh we have a graphic incredible well let's use the graphic that'd be a much easier job for me that's an awesome graphic you see how vague okay so our church member gathering our first one is may 25th jesse yeah it's going to be awesome jesse and i will be there and this is for those of you who are like look uh i am i am i am here these are my people it's time to ride or die and that's what i'm doing and uh isn't that the best way to describe that sorry some of you may like what did what did that mean okay that let me uh that was that was the bc michael talking okay let me fast forward 15 years that means that you love jesus in the people who are here and that these are the people that you want to covenant with and pursue jesus until the day you die did i do it how did i do jazz all right she's like yep yep you're on it all right and and then you want your children and grandchildren to grow up in the glory of god if that's what you're thinking this is where you want to be jesse and i will be there we're going to share really the culture of jesus image it'll be a very chill time uh it is at harvest time international which is in sanford it's a beautiful facility we actually work with harvest time weekly almost during the school year yeah so weekly we are there serving the community serving the poor packing food clothing the jesus school students are literally there on outreach every thursday there's a team there on thursday so harvest time john and mary murphy are precious friends and they are allowing us to use their facility so there's the info take a picture of it or actually text member sorry car like i was like no text you're right all right text member to three two one zero and we'll be sharing what we burn for and it i'll try not to preach i promise okay i don't know what jessie's going to do there's a good chance fire will drip out of her eyes in some way but i'll do my best to behave all right there's that and then i want to give you a quick uh building update yeah this is awesome so as you know we're under contract on an almost 10 acre parcel of land yeah it's great and we'll be able to build a building even bigger than judah on that parcel which is awesome yeah thank god and all types of other stuff that we're going to show you very soon with some architectural renderings and a cad drawing and i'll narrate the cad video so that it feels like a cartoon modern cartoon but it's going to be beautiful and i just wanted to let you know that the reason there's been a delay is because the commission that we've been meeting with made some requests that we did not feel lined up with the vision of the land and so i'm not what i'm not trying to do is just build a warehouse i feel like the land itself the way it's designed all needs to speak and be prophetic does that make sense to you so um how many of you realize the world we're living in is not becoming more peaceful understatement understatement how many of you have discovered that stupidity is contagious as well okay yeah if you want to get dumb hang out with dumb people you'll be dumb in about a month okay not dumb people but people who say things that are foolish so that's just stirring and spewing out in the world so we want to see a place that's filled with peace a place where families can go oh it's good to be here if you've ever walked on to the first tee of a golf course you know what i'm saying it's there's something beautiful about golf that you can't you literally over a golf ball if you want to be decent you literally can't think of anything else i don't know what it is about the game but a bomb could be going off and you are locked in on that golf shot and that's why it's such an awesome way to that's why it's from the lord golf is absolutely from the heart of the lord himself no but really uh we want this place to be a refuge and we want the nations to fly to this land and we want people to be healed and born again before they even hear me preach and that requires wisdom that's the way a house is built with wisdom you understand so we there were a few things we just weren't willing to budge on and it's not that they were bad or they were just doing their job but we're like you know what if we felt like if we do that then it loses its entire vision what you'll see as the renderings uh are done um but we were able to meet in the middle and compromise with with the commission and our attorneys had they're great as well and they had a great conversation with them and we feel like the compromise we made still gives us a 100 uh one i should say 1 000 batting average as far as obeying the lord's voice regarding this land okay so that's good news so let's stay in faith i'm asking all of you to write in your bible lord jesus thank you for the land i want you to write that and declare it okay amen it's going to be a beautiful place my bass pond which is a retention pond i will stalk and put a fence around it and i will be the only one with the com the combination perhaps i'll be on a kayak in the middle of the pond in the mornings as you're walking into church catching big bass no may the lord send bass to our land as well and the people said all right this is a wonderful time to give and speaking of that we do have a gift for you carla can we get the ushers come on you should get excited about a gift all right so uh as you guys know last year getting a little something here chris chris to the rescue as you guys know last year pastor robert morris from gateway how many of you have heard of gateway church in dallas it's one of the largest churches in the nation he allowed us last year to use some of his teaching videos for i think about a month to six weeks and um we good on this chris okay i don't know where you are there you are okay all right let's pay attention um he allowed us to use his teachings and in my opinion and i would never throw something on you that i didn't i don't believe in we really believe in protecting this pulpit and and really knowing the people who preach the gospel to you who teach and believe in knowing their life as well pastor robert has been a faithful man of god for decades and he's a man of integrity a man of great wisdom and power and i believe the lord has really given him wisdom in this area of living a life of generosity so we actually these were not given to us for free we actually just purchased these and got these as a gift for all of you today these are totally free do not have to buy these now listen to me very carefully i have seen firsthand people manipulate the giving message i understand it i have also seen people who refuse to give suffer for it we don't want to do that what we want to do here at jesus image is live a life of pure and holy generosity and i believe this book will help you see what the scriptures teach so this is what i'm going to ask no i will not sign it after service disclaimer it's not about that i actually want you to read this so may your fingers be filled with fiery blisters if you take it home and do not read it the reason we're giving this to you is that you would read it now listen carefully jesse and i at least i have i don't know if you've read the whole book or not okay you haven't read it oh good so you can you can read mine oh you got one okay a lot before we reached out to pastor robert's ministry last year i was in prayer uh we have a little room out by the laundry room that i used for for our prayer room and i was in prayer and i felt the lord say read the blessed life in my prayer chair and i thought huh so i downloaded it and read it i walked out of my prayer room to to our master bedroom when i got in there i saw this book on jesse's nightstand and i thought what in the world i've never even seen this book before like in our house i mean i said babe where did what are you doing with that book i i just heard the lord tell me to download it on my ipad and and jess said i think it was carol carol carol where are you carol stand up carol's from youngstown ohio boardman or poland which one are you from youngstown or yeah carol's from youngstown and carol felt from the lord to give that book to jess and on the very same day it ended up on my nightstand the lord told me to download it in my prayer room all right so that being said i read through it the teachings are wonderful they have blessed jesse and i and i want that to get into you and your family okay okay that being said this is the greatest time to actually do what the book says let's give to the lord with joy in our hearts come on come on give the lord praise said the lord praise i do want to read i do want to read these scriptures to you just very quickly go to exodus 23. wow joel only joel would deeply spiritualize the offering i love it i like it keep it there all right exodus 23 verse 19. if you're there say uh-huh all right if you don't know where exodus is go to the front leather cover and take a hard right and you'll get there in no time all right the first listen carefully don't check out on me here this is the moment to lean in it's the scriptures and we cherish them exodus 23 verse 19 the first of the first fruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the lord your god say the first of the first fruits all right now go to romans 11 verse 16. romans 11 16 for if the first fruit is holy the lump is also holy and if the root is holy so are the branches now obviously romans 11 is speaking of the jews and the gentiles nonetheless this is a spiritual principle and this is the principle if the first is holy the entire lump is made holy okay what does that mean today that means this well let me back up a minute something cannot be made holy until it is blessed okay listen carefully now and it cannot be blessed until it's placed in his hand remember the the multiplication of food the bread and fish he first blessed it and broke it that means it was in his hand does that make sense had they not given the little they had to the lord it would have never been blessed it has to get to him for him to bless it does that make sense to you that's when it is made holy okay now let me tell you what the word holy means the greek is the word i yield this is what it means it is to remove from and set apart unto another how many of you have met people who in the name of holiness were the most religious grouchy people you've ever met they thought holiness was not shaving your armpits you ever met the one with the buns big old like they had a piece of moss and a heart and a headlock that's not holiness i got news for you that's demonic that smell that smell is from the pit [Laughter] of hell the pit of hell all right let me keep it moving here all right that's not holy listen carefully committing your life to not doing things is not the entirety of holiness holiness takes place when you are removed from and set apart unto another name jesus your resources become holy the entire lump when the first of those resources are given to his hand he makes the first holy and then the entire lump is made holy and that's what you want trust me when i tell you that's what you want when that happens to the resources god has given you no longer do you merely have dollars but as as bill johnson says every dollar becomes a weapon in the hand of god he says this he says i love this he says that dollar could have been used for prostitution or gambling i can redeem that thing through giving it to the lord it becomes a weapon in the hand of god so i take my resources and for the sake of the generations to come i go these resources are going to jesus and his gospel that's the way you want to think and that's what happens when the entire lump becomes holy so if you'd like to give this one i want to encourage everybody every church member here become a tither not a tipper jesus is not poor he does not need our spirit the person of the holy spirit and i just want to quickly close with the ascension of jesus because it's pivotal you cannot separate the coming of the spirit and the ascension before i do um i actually want you to to to write down these scriptures regarding the the ascension acts 1 9 through 11. acts 1 22 mark 16 19. john 6 62. i'm reading some of these and i want to smash my face in the pulpit it's just so powerful i can't go on i have to read this one to you john 20 17 do not hold me says to mary for i have not yet ascended to the father but go to my brethren and say to them i am ascending he was mid-ascent and stopped to talk to mary oh man if you're ever wondering if jesus loves his people if you stop to talk to a woman you redeemed and we're not talking about an average ascent here it's not like you going up an escalator in millennia we're talking about the ascent from the uttermost depths of hell to the highest place and he stopped to talk to mary oh man 10 years ago i would have said slap your neighbor but now you can actually that can cause a problem save us lord send revival ephesians 4 10. first timothy 3 16. hebrews 4 14 and 1st peter 3 22. i'll give you one more because i'm gracious and loving first timothy 3 16. why so much scripture because it is living bread and while often times it doesn't seem so exciting it will sustain you until the end so when a people are being built in the presence you want to expose them to worship consistent worship brings consistent manifested presence that's very important worship the teaching of the word right you want to prioritize the lordship of jesus in a place prioritize family we are a family not an organization the trinity is our family model does that make sense that's what's happening to you so that's why i'm giving you so much scripture because jesus said let's listen carefully he said this your word is truth your word is truth keep them he said with your name so it's the name of jesus that we're kept with the name of the lord that reveals his nature and the bible clearly tells us what truth is the word of god so that's why i'm giving you so much scripture and in the end you may not even know what's happening the stature in your heart your spiritual stature will grow our students read through the bible every year and i love what bill says who cares if you don't remember what you read two days ago he said i don't remember what i ate for breakfast and it still worked so even that's not an excuse it's food do you understand so that's why we're i'm giving you so much scripture hallelujah all right let's look at acts 1 22. i'm going to blow through these and get into the person of the spirit acts 1 22 beginning from the baptism of john to that day when he was taken up from us say taken up one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection so here we see the qualifications of the new apostle that was chosen because of judas's betrayal they had to fill the office listen carefully now the bible teaches the action the bible actually says that his office must not be vacant god is a phenomenal leader it's really important that we realize as a people that many things are going to happen in this room and in our sphere that we don't understand it's important you do not demonize what you do not understand it is a dangerous sin called blasphemy we don't realize when we do that we're not just attacking the person but their office god is the most phenomenal ceo in the universe he knows exactly which offices need to be filled so that his kingdom can be perpetuated anybody owns a business understands this if you lose a heavyweight who carries an office or a roll the the business does not move forward as successfully as it did prior god is the same way so judas's office had to be filled so acts 1 22 is mentioning the qualifications needed in other words they had to be with the lord and and exposed to his ministry from his baptism until he was taken up say taken up i don't know why but the ascension of jesus is rarely talked about and rarely mentioned and it's not that anybody's bad for doing that i'm not getting on anyone i'm just saying we are missing out on experiencing the fruits of an amazing accomplishment by god mark 16 19 so then the lord jesus after he had spoken to them was taken up into heaven wow i don't know why this one just floors me but this this this the thought of his ascension blows me away john 6 62 do you take offense at this this is jesus speaking then what if you were to see the son of man ascending where he was before okay listen carefully many people are okay with the humanity of jesus many unbelievers are okay you cannot deny the existence and be sane of the man from galilee named jesus from nazareth you can't deny it the date itself testifies of this one right history bears witness josephus a first century church historian bears witness and even calls him somebody who is not just a man many believe that he wasn't even a follower of jesus at the time but he said this this one here he is not a mere man so many are comfortable with the thought that jesus is a man we love his teachings they make sense well they are challenging as well but we love some of his teachings possibly the most popular one today in this culture is don't judge you can't judge me i'm not judging you but me saying that's wrong is not judging you you don't know the word judgment there's a difference between saying something is wrong and me judging a person do you understand but if you tell them that jesus who they're claiming as their defense is also a judge you know we like the man from galilee because he heals the sick but when he tells them to eat their flesh and drink their blood with no disclaimer [Applause] no fine print he didn't go this is what i really meant he just said eat my flesh drink my blood they said this is a hard saying and left him and he didn't even say please don't go the thought of building a ministry to please people to get them to stay sounds nauseating and tiring i don't know how you do it you come up with all of these different ways to keep people and you have to do that your whole life and then you deify attendance that's what happens you you deify attendance and 70 years goes by and you go i forgot about jesus and we use we use the issues well every number is the soul i don't need to win souls through compromise because i can't win souls only the holy spirit can win souls do you understand so jesus makes a statement with no disclaimer and he says you have to eat my flesh and drink my blood they leave him do you know what he says to his disciples do you want to go y'all want to go too what does that tell me about him he's not insecure he's okay he's okay because do you want to go too and they said uh peter goes where are we gonna go he's like five days away from home and then he says to him listen listen carefully i guarantee you peter had no clue what jesus said when he said that eat my flesh and drink my blood peter probably just scratched his head and went he just stayed there which is the best thing to do when jesus challenges you if you don't get it do you know the some of the people i thought were the weirdest became the vessels god used over the last 10 years to touch me you know i've talked about it before like the flag wavers didn't get it i was like what's the point the flags the glittery ones they all have a different name on them annoying if you walk six feet back from that pulpit you could have your head cut off through it it's dangerous i think john wilde has been hit in the face by the flag dom have you been hitting dom's been hit by the face in the face by the flag until a little kid i told you guys this that it was a dirty lowly stable meant for animals when the lord the holy spirit reveals the majesty of jesus to us it should wound us in the most beautiful way to the core that the god of the universe left his throne to be born among animals he was not wrapped in ryan's favorite clothing line oshkosh pagash that's not sorry i'm having fun today and it must be the holy spirit all right jesus is not wearing a little onesie okay he was wrapped in swaddling cloths that were meant to clean the animals he was born among lowly yes but a declaration that the creator of those animals from the beginning of genesis had arrived to redeem mankind his humility is not meant to listen carefully to remove his deity but rather shroud it in beautiful mystery so that you would seek him say descended what chapter is this in say ephesians 4 he who descended so where did he descend all the way to the earth yes was he surrounded by prostitutes yes was there a good chance that the streets were lined with idol worshipers while he was carrying his cross to golgotha yes this is an amazing descent tempted by the serpent yes fasted for 40 days and 40 nights and then the bible says afterward he was hungry i would have been hungry after day one jesus was hungry after day 40. not bad this is an amazing descent where did he live in the wilderness out in the wilderness and the beasts the bible says were around him he was so weak that angels had to minister to him when the devil tempted him he twisted the bible the devil knows more scripture than anyone in here but he perverts it one of the great perversions in scripture is that god just so loves me i can live life the way i want to no that's you taking a verse not the full breadth of scripture if jesus is lord you don't get to live life the way you want to if he's teacher you may be able to amen but if he's lord that means he owns us and bought us with a price the bible says not with silver or gold peter writes but the very blood the blood i want you to think of this for a moment i talked to the students about this the last week of school we were all rocked at the core the way the holy spirit moved if i were to gash you on the arm right now with one of my favorite fly fishing knives a good one a really good one and i just blessed you and ministered to your arm like this and stuck you in the arm and you were bleeding profusely all of your attention would go to that wound think about it what happens when when you you get injured you have to have a surgery i blew my shoulder in college i don't know what it's like all your attention goes there all of your thoughts if somebody breaks a leg in a football game or tears an acl the entirety of their being goes to that wound i don't even need to gush i just need to cut you open you need to bleed everything shuts down around you you wouldn't even remember that you're here all of your attention to the wound jesus was covered in wounds from head to toe covered in blood so much so that he could not be recognized listen to the language of isaiah 53 as a man think of that for a moment so beaten and brutalized was jesus that he was not recognizable as a human he was marred beyond recognition which is one of the reasons mary didn't recognize him in the garden because he had been glorified and her last vision of him less sight of him was his brutalized body that's what you were purchased with so if you pervert the scriptures you take the ones you like you take the ones that have to do with forgiveness but you totally toss the ones that have to do with lordship not realizing not realizing that jesus is not looking for people who are merely forgiven he's looking for a bride he's looking for marriage he's looking for oneness and i've said this to you many times that's why in a christian marriage the wife loses her name it's all prophetic when a person is born again they lose their old nature and should take on the name and nature of jesus and here's that name you ready christian christian little little people who are clothed in the anointing of christ and his nature in the scriptures a name is meant to describe nature it would bless you to study the names that you're reading because you'll be blown away totally be blown away for instance the word yehoshua means the lord our salvation so when people say why does jesus save i say he doesn't just save he is salvation and so salvation flows from him for every area of the ministry of jesus we find a name attached to it jehovah rapha right the lord who heals us so he doesn't just do something he is the something and that's what the lord wants us to be he wants our nature to be in him that's why i tell people when they're born again sin should be foreign to the christian and if you're good with it and used to it you need to reexamine your state with god it's a nature issue a cat can only bark so long if my bulldogs came out with yeah i would say come out of him no i would say something's up here something's up here and that's what jesus says when he says it's from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks yeah you should try to watch your mouth of course but if you really want to cleanse your mouth cleanse your heart first your mouth reveals what's inside you understand so jesus descended yes to the earth but even lower i don't have time to go there because i'm trust me it's there but but but take the note that he descended into the underworld and declared his might the bible says and declared basically his triumph over the spirits that were in prison from at the time there was a place called paradise or abraham's bosom you read this in the which is really not a parable the bible doesn't say this as a parable and this is where we get tripped up here but the rich man in lazarus i believe is a true account because it doesn't say parable so it says there was a man named lazarus who was poor and the dogs licked his wounds the dogs had more compassion on lazarus than the rich man the rich men passed him every day but a dog knew i can at least lick his wounds jesus said the day came where they both passed the poor man went into abraham's bosom or paradise that was in the underworld because the blood had not been offered they could not dwell in the highest heavens so there was a place called paradise abraham's bosom there was a great gulf between abraham's bosom which is where the righteous went and why did they go why did they go because they saw that the messiah was coming the bible teaches and had faith in the word of god that's why jesus said abraham saw this day and rejoiced what and they said what do you mean abraham you're not even 50 years old and you know abraham and then he upped the game a little bit he didn't back off from there he said you know what since you're so prideful i'm going to jack you up even worse before abraham was i am and and and this is what he meant this is what he meant think think you do not play with jesus you are not that smart don't do it do not try to corner the one listen who formed the earth out of chaotic and void out of that which was chaotic on board don't corner him so jesus says this oh you don't believe that i know abraham okay i am that i am i'm also the god in the burning bush that's what he said before abraham was i am and they went whoa you're saying you're the god burning and then they wanted to kill him and he didn't back off all right abraham saw the day of the messiah god used him to say god will provide a lamb when god asks for isaac isaiah saw the messiah was coming how do you write isaiah 53 isaiah 40 isaiah 50 isaiah 42 isaiah 54 how do you write these chapters about jesus being wounded and striped how does david write psalm 22 it wasn't just david talking they pierced my hands and feet i can count all my bones they saw into another day to understand now they didn't see fully but they knew one was coming moses said a prophet will be raised up from among the people like me follow him speaking of jesus to those sayings and let me back up for a minute what did jesus say to the rich man who said just put a drop of water on my i feel jesus tonight today and i needed this because last week i felt like we were in a freezer and i love you it had nothing to do with you but i'm glad we're burning today all right i'm getting excited what was i saying oh the drop of water there's a great gulf the rich men suffering in flames lazarus not the lazarus of bethany another lazarus a poor man in abraham's bosom the rich man in flames is saying just give me a drop of water on my tongue think have we just passed by these these scriptures how that's why you don't want anyone to go to hell when i hear people go i'll i'll see you in hell i'm like bro don't say that do you realize how tormenting do you how tormenting is the experience for you to beg somebody in abraham's bosom for a drop of water and father abraham speaks and says you don't understand there's a massive gulf between us that is impassable it's all in the underworld this is the bible this is the glory of the gospel he goes this cannot be passed he goes okay fine can you just send someone to talk to my family certainly if somebody be raised from the dead they will believe what does abraham say this is amazing no they have moses and the prophets if they don't believe those they won't believe if somebody's raised from dead hold on if you don't believe the word you won't even believe it when someone gets up if you don't believe chapter and verse you won't believe the miracle either i hear people go if you've got it like that why don't you just go into a hospital and empty it out i don't have it like that i don't do anything i don't see jesus do jesus doesn't respond to challenge as an employee he's got nothing to prove so abraham saw the day and rejoiced moses saw the day when he built the tabernacle and rejoiced he said a prophet is coming follow him david knew that somebody would come as he was writing psalm 22 they pierced my hands and feet do you think david knew he wasn't talking about david i don't know how much he knew but this was the status of abraham's bosom when jesus died the bible says as if the manger wasn't low enough he descended even lower into the depths of the earth and i guarantee you when the devil saw him descend i've talked to you about this before he said something like this what have i done i tried to swallow him with the grave now he is swallowing the grave this is amazing this is what ephesians 4 says he who descended when jesse we had a bulldog named king very humble name and uh he was a little crazy he needed a wife badly all of our bulldogs need wives so jesse was walking him one morning she was six months pregnant and one of our neighbors had a german shepherd and he would always leave it off the leash and we lived in california then and he was like a surfer guy he's like bro it's fine i'm like dude it's not fine i'm trying to do cardio and your crazy dog chases me down the road so we had this bulldog and he was really friendly unless another dog started something it's in them you know so jesse's pregnant sure enough the german shepherd runs out and bites king on the back they start going at it and jesse's holding onto the leech six months pregnant then wisdom flows and jesse goes i'm not getting in the middle of a dog fight she lets go of the leash king they start going at it the german shepherd runs away and king follows him listen to this runs through the front door of the neighbor's house because the german shepherd went in blows through the front door the guy is like typical socal like cali guys like watching tv and two dogs fly through the front door and king just starts giving it to this dog the guy screams at jess yeah put your dog get your dog out of here and jesse she's a little less sanctified back then she had a few words for the guy that's kind of what happened in hell that day that's kind of what happened in hell hell received the one who came to destroy it hell received the one listen carefully hell received the one it it was committed to kill and through humility jesus destroyed it that's how low he went to the utter uttermost parts of the earth and then began to ascend his resurrection was part of that ascending movement that is very important listen carefully look at look at look at uh first timothy 3 16. give me ten more minutes and we'll be out he who descended is he who i'm sorry i read that first timothy 3 16. great indeed we confess is the mystery of our faith he was manifested jesus jesus in the flesh vindicated in the spirit that's the resurrection seen by angels there were angels there at his resurrection preached among nations that's the great commission listen believed on in the world and taken up in glory say taken up positioning speaks loudly in the spirit there are certain spirits that come to attack churches especially when the anointing starts moving typically they come there's one they don't even like the name of it but it's thrown around and used all the time too much we should know more about jesus than devils typically the ones who are bringing the spirits in to bring division are the ones who are calling all of them out that's that's usually how it works it's been my experience the person who's like everybody has a devil is usually the one with the devil and so the way you deal with devils at that level listen carefully is through authority because demons recognize authority where you place people in a ministry where they sit expresses authority the moment you get behind a pulpit it expresses authority the devil is not moved by charisma he doesn't leave because you're gifted in the spirit in fact that's what actually draws him to come battle you the way you get him out and keep him out is through understanding the authority that the word teaches when jesus ascended higher than the heavens it expressed his dominance so in a way he just kept going up he was like i own you and you and you and that fallen angel and you peace out stefan he just kept going up up up up up up up now wait a minute while that may not mean a lot here if you are elevated and seated on the highest throne listen to the language in first timothy and in ephesians above the highest heaven that says something level of ascent his glory shot out from him and he dominated i'll take this property and that property and this elevation we are now at 40 000 feet people taking that one too and that one too and that one too and that one too and until it was all filled with the majesty and presence of jesus he stopped and at that point was enthroned there that's the ascension it's important now listen up listen up thank you lord listen up when the bible teaches in ephesians that you're seated at his right hand no you get it when the bible teaches you're seated in heavenly places you're way above the cloud line ducks can't go that high it's an old saying you want to flap your wings you only go so high you want to ride the winds of the spirit you experience what it means to be seated in heavenly places all right now let me close with this are you enjoying this how are you i hope you are okay i didn't get to the person of the spirit but forgive me we're going to take you to the great day of the feast jesus stood and cried out saying if anyone thirsts let him come to me and drink wow he who believes in me as the scripture has said out of his heart will flow rivers of living water but this is he listen carefully this this he spoke concerning the spirit say the spirit so who is the river of living water say the holy spirit all right whom those believing in him would receive when you were born again you received a literal life-giving river the holy spirit himself for the holy spirit was not yet given because jesus was not yet glorified all right hold on hold on here this is vital we must see the connection between the glorification of jesus and the giving of the holy spirit oh i want you to get this people have asked me all the time how do you flow how do you what is it how do y'all do it over there did it just get on you from being at occ with pastor benny of course sure sure absolutely i have no problem saying that absolutely but no one's thinking when they're under the anointing i need to flow that's not what you're doing your heart is can i lift jesus so high can i yield to the spirit so that jesus is so lifted that the holy spirit is then given in the moment okay there is a current a current connection between the glorification of jesus and the giving of the spirit but but this connection is speaking of the actual ascension the glorification his resurrection his ascension and his enthronement is what we call the glorification of jesus john here connects the giving of the spirit to that moment listen carefully now listen pentecost was the beginning of a new age it was the beginning of a new age i'll get into this next week but why 120 in the upper room because 120 120 symbolizes the number of flesh the number of flesh the number of man trying to do it on his own the spirit came upon them to institute a new age no longer you're going to do it on your own you're going to do it by the spirit but that's another another teaching pentecost speaks of course it speaks of the coming of the spirit but it's also proof of another accomplishment listen to what it is that jesus made it to his destination let me say it again when the spirit came it was god's way of saying he has been glorified fully [Applause] i can just see jesus sending the spirit the father sends jesus jesus release the spirit as baptizer that's why pentecost is not a small deal it's the proof in the pudding he was not given because he had not yet been glorified therefore if he has been given he made it he made it he's the actual king listen he's the actual king of the kingdom that was jesus's way of going boys you have no idea what's happening right now i'm glad you're speaking in tongues and drunk with new wine but there's something incredibly important i am on the throne i am on the throne now listen carefully listen carefully every king is anointed you could not be a king in the bible and not be anointed with oil that's why they all ran to the prophets they were they were installed as king the prophet would dump oil on them david received a horn that speaks of mercy saul rushed his kingship and received a vile vile speak of curse judgment i should say saul was judged he forced the anointing david received mercy his whole life he held onto the horns of the altar in his heart that's what it symbolizes okay every king was anointed what does the bible teach about unity it's in the psalms i'll give you a clue how beautiful and how pleasant it is for what brethren to dwell together in what and what is it like it is like the oil dripping down say down down what aaron's beard and then where does it end the hem of his garment who was aaron a type and shadow of say jesus the high priest when jesus assumed his throne and the spirit was poured out that was it getting to the hem of his garment because we are the body of christ how beautiful and how pleasant it is for what for brett i feel the holy spirit so strong oh my god oh my god oh my god when we get our building we're just going to do lock in glory weeks all right now listen up listen up what does the bible say took place in the upper room how were the apostles praying saying one accord that's called unity it was beautiful and pleasant as the body of jesus those who are clothed in his gowns with robes of righteousness at some point after 10 days 10 days just enough time for the oil to keep flowing the oil got to the hem of his garment and that was the upper room and they burned forever and the holy spirit came listen carefully and and instituted a new day where it would not be by night and it would not be by power but that it would be by the spirit of the lord and before i dismiss you may i say this prophetically over all of us may it be said of us that nobody is that good in this room to build something god is not building and may it be said of jesus image when we're all long gone that it was done by the spirit stand to your feet give the lord praise give the lord praise hallelujah come on give the lord praise oh jesus come on give him praise lord we love you you're mighty you're wonderful you are wonderful you are wonderful thank you for your mercy thank you jesus oh come on just take a moment thank you jesus thank you for your great mercy there is no one like you praise you lord in the name of jesus i take authority right now over every sickness in this room keep playing keep playing i want the front rows praying in the spirit i take authority over every sickness over every bondage over every devil over every lie over everything that's holding you in the name of jesus be gone and be broken be broken now the authority of the king set you free in jesus name i curse cancer i curse glaucoma i curse pain in the throat in jesus name i curse arthritis and the legs be free now in the name of jesus in the name of jesus be completely whole be completely whole right now if i were you if you need a miracle whether it's in your body or in any area of life i just want you to ask jesus right now you're in the presence of the king just ask him he's higher he's higher just say jesus i receive and then you name it you just name it i have sensed this from this morning that many of you been praying for wayward children and grandchildren father in jesus name bring them home bring them home bring them home king jesus king that we really believe is the word of the lord for our school our house and the entire ministry said that the greatest musicians in the world and the greatest vocalist in the world the greatest worshipers that they would descend upon orlando florida to jesus image and that word began to burn in us and we began to dream about what it would look like to one day have a school where people would come to worship jesus and be in his presence and receive his word when a church was birthed in that same worshiping atmosphere and what a beautiful opportunity that we have as a jesus people to come before him and to be at his feet and to pour ourselves out before him worship has the potential to unlock things that really nothing else in the world can unlock and so we decided about a year ago to launch a an opportunity within the jesus school setting for those worshipers for the musicians for the singers for the dancers for the artists for the poets and this is going to be a place where you can come and you can learn and you can grow and we have highly trained instructors who are going to be coming they're going to be teaching instruments they're going to be teaching vocals anything that you can think of with worship it's going to be there the worship is not about us we worship for him so we want to invite you to come come worship the king of kings with us so come and be a part of place where he would be adored a place where he would rest a place where he would run to so that he would receive ministry and so now jesus school has this space that's been created for all of you who
