yo this did not need to go so hard you hear that [Music] oh it's so good man yo yo yo Solano cooking man straight cooking let's dial this back look we got we got to listen to this again just just just listen listen to that tonal shift the drop the sound the music the emotion oh just listen to this for a second oh it's so good oh it's so good it's so freaking good oh my goodness it did not need to go that hard oh oh my goodness man so leveling dude I I knew this scene was coming but man the freaking music like this sequence like oh my goodness here one second this sequence is just so good listen to the music drop here oh it's so good man it's so good oh okay um as you can clearly see I have enjoyed this episode of Soul leveling it is it's fantastic oh like man they were cooking A1 staff s just straight cooking man they what a what a freaking episode so let's let's just get into this okay let's just let's dive head first into just like no pun intended here head first into uh this episode this sequence the rawness of it the emotion and everything oh this this POV shot is just so personal it's so good like can we talk about that like look at this like look at this POV shots this man's cast in Magic like you see this it's through his eyes and he sees just Jin wo he's just so fast he disappears right in front of him grabs his hand and it just dead it is such a Swift scene it feels very intimate personal and that's exactly what this scene really is this whole sequence is the loss of humanity the loss of Innocence a man being forced to commit an act of great sin killing another human being but not just one but six and he had a choice a choice of he either kills those six very bad individuals or he dies and even if they were horrible human beings it doesn't change the fact that he took a human life and it's uh it's mentally damaging it could damage your very well-being and your psychology of yourself and you could lose yourself and seeing this is just it's such a significant te you know moment because like he he's having to choose he has to choose like what he wants to be going forward and obviously you know he chose survival of the fittest the strong Will Survive and the weak will perish and that's exactly what he did and regardless of that it just this will change his character going forward it's so good now I want to talk about a few things though that this episode just did fantastically I'm a web comic reader like I've read the original Source I've read the light novel great it's not perfect it's great though and I remember when I first got into so leveling years ago when it was still Niche like nobody knew about Soul leveling okay like and I made a video I remember making a video on the first chapter first few chapters of Soul leveling and nobody knew about the series and I remember you know I made a few videos after that talking about like you know this moment and talking about how you know Jim W could potentially become a villain and I remember the raw emotion the excitement I had when I first read this and I felt that exact same emotion while watching this episode and that's really impressive it's rare because even if you get hyped for a scene to feel the same emotion maybe even more than you did in the past really shows the level of quality that was poured into this scene and it really explains why just Soul leveling really popped off like why it popped off as a web comic all these years because even if it might be boiled down if you really want to just boil it down to its basic Roots is that it's a power fantasy it does it so well and such a great way that it just gets you invested emotionally to certain scenes it just it looks so freaking good and that's exactly what the scene kind of showcase I feel like this is our our first true I mean we've had some good looks already but I think that this is the first true look at what soul leveling really is what it really has to offer to its Watchers and I feel like anyone at this point after finishing this episode they're going to be very tempted to not read ahead I I know that has to be miserable like if you are an anime only you have to be in great pain right now not to want to continue reading because this Cliffhanger just the conclusion of this episode the music and everything it's just it's insane it is legitimately insane moment for the anime now let's talk a little bit deeper into this sequence because honestly it needs to be talked about there is a lot going on here than just Mindless action there is emotion and so much effort in detail Port into this scene that would be just such a disservice not to talk about it so this scene right here as I briefly mentioned is the loss of Innocence Jin wo made a hard decision and the Very scene is supposed to be sad even though you're kind of cheering for you're like yeah get these people they deserve it or whatever it's a very sad moment Jin wo is not enjoying this he's not enjoying doing what he's doing in this sequence he's in pain he's in sadness depression but he's coping because it's like the system is forcing me it's using me and I will use the system there's a lot of things that pop up with this sequence in terms of story and what is building up is that JM wo is like fine if you want to use me maybe one day I'll get so strong and powerful since you want me to get powerful to maybe even turn against you maybe that's kind of what this entire episode kind of brings up is that it's like why does the system want him to be strong why does it want him to survive why does it keep pushing him like this and it knows it's playing with him because it knows he doesn't want to die so it puts him in these positions to where it just it's so it's so ill intent or it's just it's mean it's mean intented and when you think about this sequence is like fine you know you're not my friend you're not my Ally you're obviously someone that's just indifferent and wants me to get strong strong but don't really know the real reason and he gets upset about that and just he completely turns off like he switches himself off to be able to you know kill these individuals and it's just it's not just one life he took he took six and it's a lot that's a very damaging to someone's minds and I think that you know him using a dagger as well getting so quick and up close and personal it makes it a very personal intimate kill for all these individuals here it's not something that you can be really disconnected when you have blood all over you thanks to it and this might have ramifications going forward to what he's going to feel or how he's going to feel about humans in the first place now one thing I do want to talk about as well is that the music of swano here it is so distinct and different from what swano normally does that it needs to be analyzed for a second because I've watched a lot of anime and saano always comes clutch like when there is sonano attached to an anime usually that music of that anime is just going to be a banger even if the anime turns out to be absolutely garbage like just hot garbage and it is just an atrocious anime usually the music can hard carry to such an extent that it um you know you it's watchable it's you know you can at least digest the anime A little bit because the music is so freaking good swano always hits very hard with all the songs it's usually released with a show but the one thing that makes swano very special as well is when the anime the art the animation the voice acting and the song sonano when there's perfect harmony with all these elements that elevate the scene to a whole new level and that is exactly what sano's music did within this episode like here let's just let's listen to this again just listen to the song it does not sound happy it sounds very sad and depressing it's a very sad song even though it sounds action-packed and it's fit for the occasion it's very distinct in comparison to sano's normal music because if someone that's listened to a lot of swano usually sano's music has a certain tone to her it's like it's always for a an action-packed sequence of heroic nature or it feels inspiring that's usually what it feels like or maybe like a battle royale that's what you know Know sana's music usually fills it obviously going to have distinct differences from here and there but this is a very different song it it it feels very depressing it's sad even with its upbeat tones it just feels like Jin Woo is crying in his heart he is sad because of everything he's doing the music kind of displays that emotion of what you should feel it's kind of like him crying out while he's doing these despicable acts it's honestly just a great sequence rich really just elevates this entire episode it is easily one of my favorite sequences so far of the Soul leveling anime now before I go any further I want to say that um if this is what I'm going to expect from Soul leling going forward for scenes like this oh my goodness I don't want to say the words and stuff because It spoilers but there's a certain scene there's a certain line that I'm been waiting to hear from the VA and to see in the anime and if this was as good as it was like this went hard I cannot imagine a certain scene later like oh my goodness just I'm not ready I I not ready I I'm legitimately not ready for how good that's going to look but I want to leave it that I want to talk about this episode especially just this scene was too good they had no business going this hard but it did and I thank him for it the studio truly G it their aame and truly we I think all as an anime community I appreciate that but be safe stay healthy chibi out
