The Amanda Bynes Story: Part 1

ladies and gentlemen her i'm back but if you actually knew anything you would know that i wasn't gone gone i uploaded two videos on my second channel in my absence so go check that out um but i know everyone hates long intro so i'm gonna try to keep this short i'm trying really hard to make sure this video looks like this and not like this so i'm going to be as squeaky clean as i possibly can so if there's words censored or pig latin just know that's what i'm working with i have student loans and bills to pay people glamour as you can see from the title this is a video about someone who has struggled with mental health and was not feeling like themselves when a lot of the stuff i'm going to talk about took place that being said if i see any comments being insensitive or hateful in any way towards amanda or other people who struggle with these same problems i am going to delete it and probably block you from my channel because that is not the kind of environment i want here and at the end of the day this is my channel and i have final say over what gets to be attached to my video and gross awful comments will not be a part of that yes you're entitled to your opinion no you're not entitled to spewing it on my channel have some compassion you heartless demon also i want to let you know your voices are heard i read what you say so and for all you doubters this video is about amanda bynes amanda binds the troubles keep piling up during train wreck known as amanda gasoline tank on fire in the driveway [Music] on april 3rd 1986 in thousand oaks california lynn and rick vines would welcome their third child amanda into the world these two were mature parents rick worked as a dentist lynn as a dental assistant rick had a passion for comedy though he had tried his hand at stand up when he was younger but no dice but he was making a killing as a dentist so it wasn't some kind of failure or anything as her daughter amanda grew older she gained a love for fashion she would draw sketches of clothes and always talked about becoming a designer more notably though it seemed she had a natural sense of humor and took a liking to comedy just like rick she was super expressive and funny and she did these great impersonations of celebrities she would be perfect for acting so lin and rick nudged her and she tried it and she liked it she was pretty good at it great even we see this time and time again with child actors parents see potential in their kids so they nudge them into acting and they like it because most of it for little kids is just being cute and expressive and following directions and you get free food and lots of attention the showbiz children often lack i mean but like anything else kids get into they usually get over it quickly and when you're over something and your parents are so into it it can make you feel guilty to stop doing it especially when said thing has made you the breadwinner of the family amanda went from barbie commercials to nestle's bunch of crunch to a comedy camp at los angeles famous laugh factory where she was coached by legends like richard pryor and arsenio hall and when it came time to graduate and perform her set she wound up being scouted for nickelodeon by brian robbins friend of dan schneider who i'm sure you've heard of only good things right but this video is about the queen amanda it's not about him and if that upsets you to hear then go check out sloane here on youtube i will link his channel below here's a ton of videos about amanda and him and a whole documentary about just him so go check out his channel but from this point she was cast on nickelodeon's kid-friendly snl all that the show featured an ensemble cast of actors who would go on to get much bigger roles such as keenan and kell nick cannon she was quickly paced as a panelist on a game show on nickelodeon as well called figure it out and she was pulling in an enormous fan base and an enormous amount of money but of course with any level of fame will come people who want to insult you child actors unfortunately are no exception i'm sure she got the typical you're ugly and whatnot but she's spoken specifically about comments made in passing by adults particularly saying she had a puffy face which i'm sure the interviewer whoever had no intention of hurting her feelings they may have even meant it as a compliment i know when i was talking to one of my friends about this video and i sent her a photo of amanda from eza the first thing she said was how cute her cheeks made her look it was a pretty common thing to point out about her sometimes as a compliment but intentions do not always equal impact and amanda said that she internalized a lot of these comments and at such a young age they began to make her really self-conscious business-wise because of the way amanda proved to slay her tween girl demo nickelodeon decided to give her her own spin-off show titled the amanda show it followed a similar format to all that using an ensemble cast including josh peck and taran killum who amanda dated please 20 year olds who are attracted to freshman age girls seek some help but what made it different from all that was that it had a main character amanda this propelled her even further into stardom winning her two more kids choice awards but after three seasons when she was offered a contract renewal she turned it down because she decided it was time to hang up her amanda show hat telling the new york times i don't want to be a nickelodeon kid when i'm 30. she was ready to move on to bigger and better things and that she did [Music] in 2001 frankie munez was the star of fox's wildly popular sitcom malcolm in the middle that show literally ever by the way netflix please buy it back he was for all intents and purposes a child star he was slated for a movie that would play a compulsive liar who has his life's work stolen by a hot shot movie exec but the gag is no one believes him the role of gurley sidekick was given to 14 year old rising disney star lindsay lohan but she decided to take some time off from acting to be a normal kid so the role was recast enter amanda bynes this film of course was big fat liar and would be amanda's big break onto the silver screen the movie received mixed reviews from critics because it's a kids movie but audiences loved it and it brought in 53 million dollars in the box office and amanda's first teen choice award nomination with amanda not carrying on the amanda show and co-starring alongside primetime sunday night cable sweetheart frankie munez she was offered the lead on the warner brothers channel's new sitcom what i like about you on this show she plays holly who moves in with her older sister played by beverly hills 90210's jenny garth it was a slow success but a success nonetheless with about 2 million viewers tuning in every week the show was particularly popular with the teen girl demographic that amanda proved to dominate time and time again and just like that amanda was on top hillary duff may have dominated the younger girl seen on disney but for nickelodeon kids who were a little edgier amanda was top dog while starring on what i like about you she voiced a character in an animated charlotte's web sequel which did okay but more importantly she was cast in the denny gordon movie what a girl wants in this movie she plays a 17 year old girl who's quirky and unique and sets out to find her real dad oscar winner colin firth only to find out that he's a british aristocrat running for office the movie did so so with critics but still outsold her last film big fat liar because what do i always say and this came out the same year as the lizzie mcguire movie and freaky friday which is anyone who isn't a total lame loser and to see my lindsay series would know freaky friday put a magnifying glass on lindsay and led to her serious it girl status when mean girls premiered it was truly raining teens or at least that's what vanity fair said when amanda stood alongside the leads from these movies and many other rich and famous teens on the infamous teen girl issue i talked all about this in my lindsay video but basically it was drama central on the side of that photo shoot but not for our girl amanda you'll come to see this is kind of amanda's thing she just minded her business and wore the cutest outfits on the shoe she also around this time started dating her what i like about you co-star nick zano a 24 year old man amanda was 17 years old so nick even though amanda's career was popping she was allegedly seeking emancipation from her parents tonight's wife and troll who thinks she can disrespect patti labellas if she's literally anyone lisa lillin said that she was spending a lot of time with them and some sources even reported that she sought emancipation to move in with schneider and his wife but those same sources said that amanda's parents were never letting that happen and they were super strict and in control of everything she did so she withdrew the petition and this is the first public instance we see of amanda trying to distance herself from her parents so if you haven't been keeping up amanda's been constantly working three movies and four tv shows at 17 years old and she's still in school i can barely just do school the next year amanda voiced a character in the greatest animated children's movie of all time robots and she was in a rom-com with this guy from the first season of the oc yeah awesome shut up queer and aaron from mean girls titled love rack if you're like me and you've never seen this movie or it's poorly photoshopped poster i may be able to explain that this movie produced by lance bass was originally written in film for a theatrical release with a pg-13 rating it surrounds a team girl who's a super fan of rockstar jason masters played by the guy from the oc and they end up stranded on an island together but once she realizes they can get back she tries to keep him thinking that they're stuck and she's a survivalist and there are zombies but due to problems securing a studio to release the film it was continuously edited for two years until it was completely reworked into a family film with a pg rating suitable for release on abc family but that of course won't come later until 2007 when amanda was super in demand back in real time in 2005 when amanda returned home from filming in the dominican republic she constantly felt tired and sick and she couldn't keep on any weight and she dropped to 100 pounds turned out she had a classic case of mononucleosis aka mono aka the kissing disease because of symptoms like sore throat and nausea mono can cause rapid weight loss thankfully though it usually goes away on its own within a week or two but while amanda was at her dangerously low weight her mother told her she had never looked better and like other comments made about her physical appearance amanda internalized this and from this point on she strove to be thin particularly 100 pounds once she recovered from the mono she looked for a new way to stay thin which we'll come back to later in 2004 amanda filmed a movie that would change everything she's the man starring alongside an unknown channing tatum who she was dating this modern adaptation of shakespeare's 12th night has become known as amanda bynes signature role she plays a girl who loves soccer but when her school cuts the girls soccer team and won't let her join the boys team she decides to take on the identity of her brother sebastian and his school area while he goes on tour with his band and wacky reviews on the content of the film were mixed but on amanda's performance everyone seemed to agree that she kind of killed it critics said that she had a natural gift for comedy and praised her elastic face oh for the love of god it burned it just but even though her performance had viewers hooting and hollering seeing herself on screen dressed as a boy for practically the entire movie was what amanda describes as an out of body experience that made her slip into a deep depression for six months this can likely be attributed to gender dysphoria which in many cases can lead to severe anxiety and depression like other things it weighed on amanda and exasperated her already difficult body dysmorphia even worse there was a new it girl on the block and you know they just absolutely must be compared lindsay lohan appealed to amanda's same demographic but unlike amanda's quirky silly box that she had been put in lindsay was already taking edgier older teen films like mean girls and inappropriate as it was lindsay was already starting to become known for her sex appeal friends of amandas have said that she constantly compared herself to lindsay seeing her on the red carpet and immediately touching up her hair or makeup small things that revealed a much larger issue i mean i can definitely imagine having your huge film being a comedy movie where you're dressed up as a guy playing sports while your peers are in a movie like mean girls where she gets all the glitz and the glam and the hair and the wardrobe and it wound up making lindsay the next it girl that could feel pretty hideous at the same time the role that was causing amanda so much distress was simultaneously launching her into stardom and in a way similar to hilary duff amanda was a beacon of hope for the type of people who saw lindsay lohan out and partying and disapproved she could be their good girl not their sex object but their goofy fun wholesome girl who would come in handy when they needed to make a fun family film she was the good girl icon she appeared on teen people's hottest 25 under 25 and critics were absolutely raving about her talent but if amanda was already tiring of acting as a kid when her parents were pressuring her how do you think she felt at this point add to that the unsolicited comments about her appearance that i'm sure she was constantly getting that could make it unbearable she said more recently that she hated every film she was in she just hated watching herself on screen like i said the last film she was in caused her to feel deep feelings of anxiety and slip into a depressive episode for six months but six months was really all she had because by september she was on set for hairspray hairspray was a film adaptation of the broadway musical hairspray based on the 1988 film hairspray by the genius john waters this movie would feature an ensemble cast of stars like queen latifah john travolta christopher walken allison janney and michelle pfeiffer it was a big deal and amanda along with zac efron were brought in specifically for their star power among the teen crowd while on set amanda was reading a trashy mag as we all do and she came across an article that donned the production amphetamine adderall which is commonly used to treat adhd and narcolepsy the new skinny pill and at that moment she had found her new way to get skinny so she went to her doctor and like many young people unfortunately faked the symptoms of adhd and was prescribed the pill at the prescribed dosage substances like adderall work in simplest terms by altering the chemicals in your brain making available more neurotransmitters and effectively speeding up the functions of your brain as a result the side effects include loss of appetite nervousness trouble sleeping etc dependency usually isn't a problem when it's taken at the recommended daily dosage however when it's used in tandem with other things such as eid way aka mixing up with a it can dull the effects and cause many to overdo it and constantly overdoing it can lead to more severe effects such as hallucinations paranoia and delusion but some major publication found it appropriate to publish this article that basically told everyone how to have an ed and amanda like many others likely read it and started taking it regularly as you may know 2006 was prime time for the skinny trend with news outlets like fox calling nicole richie and mary kate and ashley olsen lollipop heads and if we're to believe the stories about amanda constantly comparing herself to lindsay then that would be even more influenced to become thin as she had just been dealing with her ed months earlier when people started to clock her weight loss she would defend herself citing her mono that she caught the year before while shooting love wrecked and point out the fact that it was not natural for her to be 100 pounds and that people don't really look like that and when they do they're usually struggling with a dependency as soon as filming for hairspray ended she jumped straight into filming her new movie sydney white in this movie she plays a girl who wants to pledge for her late mother's old sorority but when she gets there she's shunned because she's not like the other girls so she joins a dilapidated old fraternity house and wacky class ensues are we seeing a trend here typecasting is a common phenomenon in the acting world it can occur in two different ways way one is when a performer is cast in a role that requires characteristics of physique manner personality etc similar to those possessed by the performer an example of this is having a popular dummy hunk played by a popular dummy hunk even if it's to the detriment of your show [Music] way too is when a performer is repeatedly cast in roles that are closely patterned after that of their previous successes some examples of this are michael sarah always being cast as lovable quick-witted nerd or jim carrey as quirky manic guy with a really expressive face but to make a decision we should take a look right happy-go-lucky loyal best friend sidekick voice of reason quirky unique girl who sets out on a mission to meet her father quirky star-obsessed girl who tries to pull off an elaborate scheme to get her favorite celebrity to believe they're stuck on a desert island together quirky sports loving girl poses as her own brother in an attempt to play soccer and ultimately humiliate her ex-boyfriend ditzy sheltered socially awkward sidekick who is dare i say a little quirky it was becoming clearer and clearer as amanda continued to be cast in these roles that she was being pigeonholed in the same way as jim carrey and michael sarah and some argue that being typecast is kind of a blessing because it leads to endless opportunities to fill roles of a certain type like the king of typecasting olguliemi it's not at all uncommon to see these actors try to step out of their famed role and be criticized for doing too much or becoming pretentious like when jim carrey did eternal sunshine of the spotless mind regardless of how good the film was um was like why funny man no make face amanda was dying to step out of the little box that she'd been put in before it was too late a source for the hollywood reporter who was allegedly present in a meeting with amanda said everybody had her as a goody goody she couldn't break out of that genre her frustration was i could have played this role i could have played that role i'm not getting the lindsay lohan roles thankfully though unlike her other movies amanda really enjoyed herself on the set of hairspray she got to work with legends and she said it was the most amazing experience she's ever had on a set she gave an incredible performance sang her heart out and delivered looks and even though she was a supporting character she still gave a lot of life to her role and was of course a fan favorite people were predicting that she would be another anne hathaway who had just successfully made her jump from teen movies like ella enchanted and princess diaries to mature roles like devil wears prada but i think it's important to understand this movie in context [Music] the year is 2007. lindsay lohan has checked in to promise his malibu paris hilton went back to jail anna nicole has tragically passed away brittany shaved her head and suffers a nervous breakdown lindsay lohan gets two duis and goes to jail and nicole richie ii gets a dui and spends a little under an hour and a half in jail for young hollywood it seemed like the empire they had built up so fast was coming tumbling down but nothing of the sort could be said for amanda though at least not to the public's knowledge the biggest scandal she had to date was her weight loss but in comparison to the tribulations of the other stars amanda was a perfect angel underweight or not some even complained about how clean she was and said it made her boring hairspray had a record-breaking release it was the biggest debut of any movie musical and it debuted the same week as i now pronounce you chuck and larry and harry potter in the order of the phoenix and still came in right behind them breaking in 27.5 million dollars this was amanda's first movie that she'd been in that drew an adult audience in addition to her usual teeny bopper crowd so she had one foot in the door for serious movie transition while acting was something she was great at she wasn't particularly passionate about it something she was passionate about was fashion and arguably the good thing about being a teen idol is that it can open doors for endless opportunities to try your hand in other business ventures even ones you've shown no prior interest in so amanda was able to make this a reality for herself earlier that year she'd announced her plans to release a clothing line she made a deal with value retailer chains stephen berry's which is kind of like sears without lawn mowers the line was called deer by amanda bynes and she described the line as very affordable and made for girls like her every piece was under 20 which i think is really cool but despite the low price point stephen berry's failed to drum up customers and eventually closed down taking dear by amanda bynes with it those close to her at the time have said that they believe this to be a moment that caused amanda to turn to prescriptions really heavily sydney white premiered and critics liked amanda's performance as per usual but the comedy in the movie was cheap and relied on old tired jokes about racial stereotypes so it was no new classic by any means it didn't even break even in the box office at this point amanda's going hard on her rebrand and she's really trying to distance herself from the good girl image that she'd so perfectly maintained for years she was starting to be seen out at clubs her friend on the ground outside of clubs and her being on the club scene also sparked her relationship with doug reinhardt who apparently plays baseball but cool people would know him from the hills i also found out that his dad was the inventor of the frozen burrito a lot of people thought that he was using amanda for celebrity though and it was reported that none of her friends or anyone liked him so the relationship only lasted a couple months but still party boy boyfriend spoke to her changing image her got milk ad even read what's changed since the amanda show me she did manage to score a more serious role in the lifetime movie living proof where she played the student assistant of the main character played by harry connick jr so small role but still progress around this time in 2009 she signed a two movie deal with production company screen gems with the president of the company saying she's one of the few who can make a graceful transition from kid to adult star because she has such strong comic chops and for the first project she was set to co-star in the emma stone lead easier which would be a more provocative teen slash young adult comedy another way she made progress on her rebrand was by being photographed for maxim magazine she was on the cover of their february 2010 issue just looking fine as wine this was of course met with criticism because some were sad to see the person they regarded as the good girl who hadn't gone off the rails taking off her clothes for the cover of some dirty magazine but regardless she killed it she said in the interview that she was interested in taking up sexier roles so long as they were the right ones that same month she was cast a star alongside owen wilson in the raunchy comedy hall pass in which she would play a promiscuous babysitter who was interested in owen wilson's character her boss and this is exactly what she wanted right so everything worked out even though the world was eagerly awaiting amanda's big break into grown-up films unfortunately amanda's problems with her passions had spiraled to a point where she was unable to keep it under control in her 2018 interview with paper magazine amanda recalls being in her dressing room chewing her hands because she thought the effects would be stronger if she did it that way and her mind was just in a complete fog she just existed in the haze she was unable to even be herself much less remember her lines or focus on them and when she actually got in front of the cameras and saw herself on the monitor she reached a breaking point reports said that she was acting erratically and for those who weren't aware of amanda's substance use which was everyone this seems shocking and bizarre amanda eventually dropped out of the film citing scheduling conflicts and she even tweeted about how it just wasn't gonna fit in with her schedule her second production with screen gems never went into production and hall pass went on to be a flop fest this signaled the beginning of the end for amanda on a night in june at around 3am amanda's twitter account read i've never written the movies and tv shows i've been a part of i've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play if i don't love something i stop doing it i don't love acting anymore so i've stopped doing it i know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first i've hashtag retired on the topic of her twitter it was rapidly evolving she went from posting pretty much exclusively quotes to what i think might be my favorite string of tweets ever hashtag shout out to mandy moore and ryan adams foxy married couple hashtag shout out to beyonce and jay-z foxy married couple so hashtag shout out to gwyneth paltrow and chris martin foxy married couple hashtag shout out to paula patton and robin thicke foxy married couple only a little over a month later amanda was back posting i'm unretired and sharing a trailer for easy a in this movie she would play marianne a puritanical goody two shoes high school student the movie was a bit more grown up but she still kind of had to play the good girl role she was a mean girl but whatever even though easy rocks and is an awesome movie and it's super funny amanda didn't like seeing herself in it when she went and saw it like other times she had partaken in some mixed media if you know what i'm saying and this would obviously alter and distort the way she perceives things and coupled with the body dysmorphia she was already suffering with this would be a painful experience she said to paper magazine i literally couldn't stand my appearance in that movie and i didn't like my performance i was absolutely convinced i needed to stop acting after seeing it and she did easy a would be the last time we'd see amanda bynes on the big screen 2011 was a quiet year from amanda's corner and to us common folk she kind of disappeared off the face of the earth she said that once she had decided to end her acting career she found herself doing nothing and as someone who had spent all of her formative years acting non-stop she really didn't know what to do now she would wake up oaks may eid way and take her adderall and ruminate in her thoughts all day long and i'm sure you could tell that wasn't particularly healthy if not because she was someone with low self-esteem thinking herself deeper and deeper into a whole because she was now dependent on this medically induced state of euphoria and that's not something you can physically keep up with when the very thing that it relies on is actively causing her to slip into a state of psychosis and when she wasn't just sitting around she was partying the first red flag for the general population was in march of 2012 when amanda was pulled over for talking on her phone and driving which is a measly 20 ticket after handing over her id and waiting for the cop to run her information amanda waited right until the cop was about to hand her her ticket to sign and pulled a classic psych and drove right off the cop didn't pursue her because he had all of her information and had literally written the whole ticket already but she apparently went to the station and signed the ticket later that day a month later on april 4th amanda's pulled over at three in the morning after an attempt to pass a cop car which already is a rookie move ideal spot in traffic is somewhere behind the cop because if you have one in your line of sight where you know they can't pull you over it's like what are the odds or someone pulling up behind me but anyway but anyway rookie move aside while attempting this maneuver she sideswiped the cop car after refusing a breathalyzer or a test amanda was taken into custody for drunk driving and a hit and run and her bail is set at five thousand dollars and she gave the world this photo obviously she'd been out drinking before the wreck she was at the standard and then she left and went to a place called greystone manor and that's where she was when she left and got pulled over and she apparently tried to go back after she was released but they wouldn't let her in because of what had happened the night before and she was still getting photographed driving herself out to these clubs and texting and driving backing over curbs some theorized this diversion from her usual good girl image was all a ploy to get more adult roles i mean hey people always said she wanted to get the roles like lindsay and what was lindsay doing right now obviously it wasn't that simple but that's what the people were saying this wreck actually convinced her parents to move from texas where they and amanda's older sister and her kids were living back to california to try and help amanda but tmz reported that sources close to the family said they were not interested in getting a conservatorship in may amanda rear ends a car on ventura boulevard the woman she hit said that amanda stopped but after declaring that there was no damage she left the car however had 800 worth of damage and even though she technically stopped she didn't exchange insurance or wait for the cops to get there so this was another hidden run of course every news outlet was covering this but amanda wasn't going down on the tabloids without a fight tweeting i can't help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me i was not in any hit and runs i don't drink so the dui is false after hearing what she was officially charged with a dui she tweeted president obama saying please fire the cop arrested me i don't drink and drive i also don't hit and run the end and so the cop was sent to guantanamo bay and amanda was exonerated and also given the presidential medal of freedom needless to say she pled not guilty and rick even came out to back up her claims saying she was not drunk i was told that she blew a zero on the breathalyzer she didn't have a single drink that night my daughter doesn't drink september 2012 was probably the most turbulent month for tabloid coverage of abandon like ever the month starts with amanda being officially charged for everything from june and august and she faces up to a year the next week amanda's seen smoking from a pipe while driving keep in mind she legally lost all of her driving privileges because of the last accidents i'm not who you think i am okay amanda yeah change your hair color but we know oh you just oh two days later members of the equinox gym in west hollywood saw amanda looking quote unquote disheveled with her hair a mess and makeup smeared and at least at some points her sunglasses on indoors she reportedly exercised on a bunch of cardio machines each for a few minutes at a time spoke to herself and burst into bits of laughter members said that she was acting bizarre and seemed fidgety and nervous three days later she gets caught again driving on a suspended license but this time it wasn't the paparazzi that caught her it was lapd but luckily for her she wasn't arrested but her car wasn't pounded however not everyone was pleased with the lacks way in which amanda was being prosecuted with veteran road nuisance lindsay lohan tweeting why did i get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has no punishment so far the very next day she's in the news again this time for locking herself in a boutique dressing room for nearly two hours someone in the store must have tipped off paparazzi because when she eventually left they were out there waiting for her and they captured this video do you think that you should be under a conservator ship no on the conservatorship that same night amanda goes to spin class during class she got up to find a new bike which was reportedly closer to the mirror in the front but that could just be story fluff or it could be someone with body dysmorphia body checking then she got off again to touch up her makeup while everyone else kept spinning but the final straw for the instructor was when she allegedly pulled off her shirt to reveal a and i quote tiny black strapless bra after having a bizarre story come out about her nearly every day for the last week she gave a phone interview to people magazine to clear things up she said i'm doing amazing i'm retired as an actor i'm moving to new york to launch my career i'm gonna do a fashion line i'm not talking about being arrested for a dui because i don't drink i don't drink and drive this is all false and people magazine reported that she was polite respectful and upbeat on the phone that same night amanda got into a confrontation with a paparazzi outside of a restaurant in hollywood either way man i wish you the best mom all right for real okay no i really wish you the best all right can i just get one clean frame you have to delete that one in my face i need to look beautiful and it's a bad shot all right please you look gorgeous right here right here no come towards me no come towards me now just walk towards me can i just get a shot of you walking towards me i'm asking you let go of the camera excuse me let news where he claimed that amanda scratched him on his neck and his arms and finally at the end of the month she's formally charged for driving without her license and later that week is her court date where her lawyer enters her not guilty plea for the june and august accidents she wasn't there though she was in new york where she allegedly locked herself into a cupcake shop bathroom for over 30 minutes after being in the bakery for over an hour what i'm understanding is that the bakery was empty and they closed the doors and turned the music down and a firefighter was talking to her through the door she didn't respond so he got scared that she was unconscious so he called the police to ask her permission to break the door open once she heard that though she came out of the bathroom saying excuse me i was doing my makeup another witness apparently said that she seemed normal when she came out though so at this point tmz reports that she'd been dropped by caa her agency meaning she's now lost her agent her publicist and her lawyer in one fell swoop but yeah she apparently moved to new york at this time and was telling people that she never wanted to go back to la which remember her parents literally just moved back there to help her even though she owned a mini mansion in calabasas and i believe another home she leased those out and left in november in touch magazine didn't get the memo that reality is more interesting than fiction and they published a completely fabricated article about amanda looking totally out of it and walking around her birthday suit in a new york tanning salon this turned out to be false and was denied by the owner of the tanning salon amanda told us weekly that she would be suing them and that she needs her privacy saying i'm 26 a multi-millionaire retired also that month she joined instagram posting the same photo three times with the captions about to get my nails done what up dough and love my turban and another photo saying she loves jeans with sexy holes in december she reached a settlement with the victims of the april and august accidents so score the next month she posts a photo on her new tupler account showing off her new dimple piercings the next year starts off in a not so great foot when amanda is evicted from her new york apartment allegedly her neighbors complained to building management about the smell of eid way coming from her apartment at all hours of the day after she left her former neighbors did an interview with the new york post saying that when she first moved in she was normal and nice she went around knocked on everyone's doors and introduced herself and then they said she just started acting weird they said she would leave her front door of her unit open all the time and that's probably why the smoking was such a huge complaint but leaving her doors open also let them see that she had changed all the light bulbs in her apartment to red bulbs it's kind of funny reading this as something that shows she was unstable because this is literally how somehow's room look just led strips and silver fish everywhere from there she went to stay at the w times square during her stay employee said that every day she would come down in a different wig and at one point one employee alleges that they found her curled up in the corner of the gym speaking with no pants on but she eventually moved out of here into a swanky building called the biltmore later that month amanda does an interview with her recent nemesis us weekly titled 25 things you don't know about me she shares her simple pleasures like eggplant parmesan and online shopping but she also shares some things that are kind of concerning like i moved to new york city and i love it i lost four pounds since i moved i'm 121 pounds my goal is to be 100 pounds when amanda was 16 in an interview she said she was almost five foot eight so let's just say she's five seven being 100 pounds would put her severely underweight thankfully in 2013 amanda wasn't in the news because she was driving dangerously but she was in the news for her [Music] tweets notably she tweeted jay-z that he had an ugly face i thought he was foxy she said she invented illy and the lolol and she said that she wanted drake to m her v these tweets along with these photos i remember specifically was when everyone started paying attention and saying that something was up with her because she was actively acting in a strange way on twitter everyone got to see a live celebrity breakdown lindsay lohan had everything kind of explode for her a few years prior but she wasn't live tweeting it so people weren't getting those instant updates of what was happening it would take a couple days to find out what had happened something really interesting that i found looking at old blog posts and stuff from around this time is that a lot of people were calling for amanda's parents to put her in a conservatorship and would cite britney spears as an example of how amanda's parents needed to rein her in not everyone was judging amanda though she had at least one fan kim kardashian who tweeted about her love for amanda's new look and also praised her on live tv on chelsea lately am i the only one that is obsessed with her new makeover i think she looks amazing with the blonde hair and those nails i don't think with all those extensions and makeup you would think she looked pretty hot i mean no i i'm like obsessed you like her enough i like that yes i like that picture but as i'm sure you could have guessed this behavior wasn't just going nowhere april 2013 was another september 2012 in terms of how often she was on the front page of every gossip site the month starts with amanda being pictured out and about new york with a shocking new look dark red hair but after the paparazzi pictures were making the rounds amanda started denying that the photos were her with tweets saying she had an imposter walking around new york she doesn't even own those clothes and she's a blonde duh but the next day which was her 27th birthday she was out in the exact same outfit but the hair had faded to a brownish color and she'd also tweeted that day saying i have an ear so i have a hard time staying thin and it's just really sad for me seeing these tweets knowing about all the body dysmorphia that she struggled with and you know with the info that we know now and then also thinking about how the times where she felt that she looked good she got absolutely flamed by the entire internet and i just don't think there was any way that could possibly have been good for the situation then there are reports of amanda attending an adult gymnastics class and she allegedly was dressed inappropriately and when it came her turn to a flip or whatever she spun around in a circle and was talking to herself and she did a cartwheel and her wig fell off and this was apparently supposed to be some hilarious story but i don't think that's funny like call me crazy but i think it's kind of sad and there were people worrying about her mental health and showing concern but the average tony sim was just like lol amanda bynes is nutso now she did say that this story wasn't true and that she would sue people who spread the story but i wasn't there so obviously i can't say otherwise and this was kind of common with all the talk of erratic behavior amanda started threatening to sue people using unflattering photos of her in their articles as well saying i'm suing in touch us weekly perez hilton for hiring paparazzi who follow me and then take the worst photos of me at the worst angles i'd like to put their worst photos on my twitter until they start putting up my twitter photos when writing a story when there is no story just an awful photo posted with instead of a caption they say i have erratic behavior when i do nothing wrong later in a tweet to e-news amanda said i had to shave my head because of hair damage from someone at john barrett a salon in new york so i'm not loving my paparazzi picks for a few years i have extensions but you can see them loving your shows but suing you for spreading lies about me on your website thanks for being my fan and allegedly when she'd gotten said hair damage from john barrett it was reported that after the hairdresser finished her color she didn't think it looked blonde enough so she started rubbing the bleach into her hair with her hands and if that is true it would make sense why she would have damage and this is when she posted the video on twitter if you've ever seen a video about amanda bynes or if you were keeping up with her in 2013 then you've more than likely seen this video it was captioned getting ready and sucking on a sour patch kid and interestingly enough people seemed to think that the tweets were one thing but this video was a whole nother some thought perhaps it was too strange to be real were we all getting got complex magazine published in articles to their website titled amanda bynes either needs help or is trolling us all in the article they suggested that maybe amanda was just pulling a joaquin phoenix and if you didn't know towards the end of 2008 joaquin phoenix said that he was retiring from acting and starting a rap career he grew a huge beard rapped on stage a bunch of clubs did a really strange interview with david letterman and casey affleck directed an entire documentary that came out titled i'm still here where joaquin's life is basically falling apart except it wasn't it was all an elaborate ruse joaquin phoenix pretended to have a public meltdown for two years while they made this documentary and there were some a minority but some people thought that amanda was just channeling her inter-walking phoenix and this was all a big publicity stunt amanda wasn't too happy about this comparison and she shared a strongly worded twit plus to express her feelings about complex she said at complex mag stop acting like i'm doing something wrong i'm obsessed with myself on twitter also my video last night was perfection i'm so sick of the articles you write about me i want every fake article deleted you're whipped by my ugly ex act kid cudi whose looks and talent have always been questionable to me him being the ugly duckling he is and all you quote him non-stop and then take professional shots of him for your covers his best photos aren't compared to mine at my best the photo you chose of aubrey for her cover is awful to be completely fair about this one she's kind of not wrong about them choosing an awful photo for the cover for aubry like this photo is way better you make people look bad stop acting like you know everything about what men like i don't stop getting was so short lived but that same day we have some awesome news in the photo that you've probably seen amanda's extensions were looking rough and matted but this photo she was actually on the way to the salon where she was getting them brushed out so yay the media does not want you to see this photo on the 20th of april she was allegedly kicked out of the gym for celebrating in the locker room and at the end of the month amanda post the first photos of her shaved heads saying she was inspired by cassie and that it was time to stop using old photos of her when blogs wrote about her because this was her new look may started with amanda posting a selfie and a bra and then one not in the bra an exclusive interview with intouch where she says she only has hot friends and she's allergic to alcohol the video of her running on a treadmill and apparently getting the cops called on her by the kardashians ex-publicist jonathan jackson he tweeted that amanda was title and so messed up on drugs and he was like nypd help her now feeling worried jenny mccarthy former playboy model and woman who always hosts the new year's eve ball drop spreads the room around her twitter amanda responds to jenny's tweets saying you're ugly police weren't at my house old lady shut the [ __ ] up i need help what are you talking about aren't you 50 years old i'm 27 you look 80 compared to me why are you talking about me but her and jenny did make up the next day and she said she was lying about her being ugly so you may be starting to notice a common trend among amanda's tweets she called literally everyone ugly like everybody the worst of which going to rihanna who she said was trying to look white and she said that she was because she wasn't pretty enough at this point her twitter account wasn't funny anymore thankfully it didn't seem that rihanna took it to heart but still it shouldn't have been a thing then there was drake lance bass courtney love the president first lady probably on account of not being exonerated peres hilton zac efron chrissy teigen and with just one stone her own father and rupaul in all honesty it's a given to me that someone who so clearly struggles with their self-esteem would use this as their main insult i mean she was probably in her head all day telling herself she looks ugly so to her the surefire way to hurt someone's feelings and bring them down would be to tell them they look ugly on the 22nd amanda has a small gathering with some people in her apartment i don't know how long she knew these people for but they took photos of amanda and tried to like expose her living conditions they took pictures of her feet adorable little baggies on the floor in her room and a joint i think that's very liberal use of the word because she was literally just paper but they sell these photos to intouch and in the story attached to the photos they say she was smoking all night she would have smoke on these things and then put one out and make another hit that one a little then go back to the first one they also said that all her windows were either taped shut or had black spray paint on them to prevent people from taking her photos and when amanda sees this she tweets i'm suing them they [ __ ] with my photos that's not my bed those aren't my toes my toes are pedicured i just did an exclusive interview with intouch last week now they brought fake and altered photos by that ugly man in the photo or someone who knows him they used an old shot of me on the cover with a bad angle of my old nose before i had surgery to reshape my profile and remove the webbing from my eyes i have to sue because that's not my apartment those aren't my clothes they morphed my photos onto the face of someone else's body to ruin my life i have to make a big deal of this and sue because that's not me i care about my appearance so i have to defend myself i look like a different person now that i had surgery on may 23rd amanda is rejected from getting on a private jet flight after she reportedly tries to use google as a form of identification that night around 7 30 pm she was caught smoking in the lobby of her building causing a building manager to call the police and when the police arrived they knocked on her apartment door and she opened it up and let them in which i'm reading was a rookie move this is apparently when she threw a vase out of her 36th floor window since i'm a physicist and a genius i did the math for you assuming she had an average sized vase let's just say it would weigh about 3 pounds and from the 36th floor assuming every floor has 10 foot ceilings add a little extra for the lobby we'll say it would fall from around 400 feet that would hit the ground at 109 miles per hour you're literally you get hit with that she did actually claim that it was just a vase but in what may just be the most bizarre turn of events in this arrest they couldn't find it no one saw it coming down no one died from the impact of a three pound piece of glassware coming at over 100 miles per hour and there was no broken glass on the ground or on the fifth floor trellis where they thought it would have fallen that the paparazzi or the police could find but she was arrested for reckless endangerment and photograph being taken out of her apartment building in this wig which her mug shot was also taken in but there's also one without the wig on i'm guessing they wanted to show the judge her range he's eventually seen in court in these photos that you've definitely seen and these will now be the new photos to use every time tabloids write about her she maintained that she just opened the window to get some fresh air and her lawyer mentioned that she wanted to file a complaint about inappropriate conduct she eventually let out though on her own reconnaissance but she was warned that if she got arrested again she would face a mighty bail when she gets home she tweets about the arrest saying i only smoke tobacco i don't drink or do drugs i've never had a problem in my life i need to get another nose job after seeing my mug shot the next day when she's getting dropped off by a cab she's in a brown wig and she has her face covered with a scarf and the paparazzi are just all up in her junk which is so weird imagine doing this to anyone else and i don't care that she used to act and now she tweets a lot how would that make you entitled to literally being all up in her face with the camera that just literally baffles me but to make it worse one guy kept pulling the scarf off her head and she went on a bit of a tirade that same day she tweeted believe everything i say on twitter followed by a twit plus that read don't believe the reports about me getting arrested it's all lies i was sexually asked by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me he lied and said i threw out the window when i opened the window for fresh air hilarious he slapped my vagina sexual harassment big deal i then called the cops on him he handcuffed me which i resisted quite unlike any of the reports stated at this point i'm like girl don't tell them you were resisting a rash then i was sent to a mental hospital offensive i kept asking for my lawyer but they wouldn't let me the cops were creepy the cops actually passed me and they found no pot on me or outside my window that's why the judge let me go don't believe any reports the next day the tweets just keep getting more and more extreme this is the actual day that she tweets rihanna she also says that her parents aren't in her life and that she'd rather than be homeless than live on her money she also points out that her parents are nearly 70 years old and she's right her parents are hella old and she shares another twit plus about her arrest for once and for all this is the last thing i'll say about the mistaken arrest i'm suing nypd for illegally entering my apartment lying about drugs on me and lying about me tampering with non-existent then i'm suing for being put into a mental hospital against my will then locked up overnight for coming home after a facial and working out with my trainer like the good girl i am i'm allergic to alcohol and drugs and i don't participate in any of the above i'm so offended by all this but so proud to not be a alcohol user i don't need to talk about this anymore my lawyer and i are taking this event so seriously everything they did was against law and the judge saw that there was no drugs on me or proof of any type of bond or mental illness i was so offended to even be taken to a mental hospital and they would not allow me to call my lawyer until the next day after being in jail all night then i went to court and was immediately released when the judge saw that i was wrongly arrested the cops found no proof of any type of use or evidence of familia such as a in or around my apartment i'm also suing my apartment complex for lying about me in my building i'm free forever you can't lock up an innocent person thanks for caring look forward to seeing me in music videos i'm getting in shape and getting a nose job i'm looking forward to a long and wonderful career as a singer slash rapper and don't even think for a second that she was lying about becoming a rap because she was presently working with waka flocka and she apparently turned down a hosting gig for a playboy radio show where they were going to get her a driver and everything but she wanted to work on her album also tmz photographers finally locate some broken glass that could be amanda's face but who knows it's been literally days and this is just a sidewalk in manhattan the next week she posts a public apology to kid cudi saying i want to apologize to scott misgutti my account was hacked i didn't call him ugly he's not ugly he's gorgeous and we dated i love him she tried a similar strategy with rihanna tweeting i saw a bunch of mocked up tweets about me bashing rihanna in my mentions and she shared this photo with the caption this is a mocked up image i found on the internet that i love i love rihanna she's such a beauty this photo for the record is very much real she'd also tweet about miley and took it back saying she was one of the prettiest people and she apologized to drake saying she'd rather be friends than smash him and i don't mean to make a whole event out of everyone she called ugly because i do think it's important to mention for timeline purposes because i want you to have the full scope of what people were seeing from her on a daily basis but one she wasn't in her right mind and two we'll be here all day if i read you all of her tweets but this one i have to mention because this really pissed me off okay so this time amanda's in atlantic city at the revel casino seemingly by herself she's getting photographed in the casino in the jacuzzi on her phone and there's reports of her lunging at someone who tried to take a photo of her and making fans leave selfies if she didn't like them and whatnot but for once amanda was literally just tweeting minding her business she didn't add anyone she didn't name drop she didn't subtweet anyone nothing she tweeted if you're not hot i don't care about you a controversial opinion sure but she is so clearly not in her right mind that that shouldn't offend anyone but that didn't stop the literal most irrelevant person that i could think of from inserting themselves in the situation for actually no reason at all matt prokop do you know who that is exactly the guy who played fake troy bolton in high school musical three ew i loved high school musical i had the poster for this movie in my room growing up and i genuinely have no clue what his character's name was at all but guess you didn't like but had absolutely nothing to do with you for the sole purpose of provoking someone that you clearly know is struggling with mental health and addiction as you so classically pointed out am i understanding that right matthew you thought that was really the move so then amanda responds and says i like her ugly face she isn't as pretty as me you need to put up two comparable professional photos she's not a model i am and matt replied clearly not following the guidelines amanda laid down and amanda replied again saying she wants new photos because she's had a nose job and why is he on twitter arguing with someone who's so publicly and widely known to be unstable then fakes troy replies you're not a model you are plastic nothing about you is real anymore it's so sad how the lyrics to the amanda show theme song then he posted on instagram about how she blocked him casting must have been real light this june matthew lots of time on your hands to pester someone with a mental illness you're so awesome and cool anyway if you can't tell that story really annoys me because most of the time when she was arguing with celebrities and they totally owned her it was because she started it but this person literally just came out of the woodworks of a complete nobody like i don't think she would have even thought to insult him because who is he like i'm such an irrelevant ass person and he comes out of the woodworks just to pick on her for absolutely no reason so that he could then play the victim like no one feels sorry for you literally not one soul tell me why i looked up matt and i find out that sarah highland has a restraining order against him i knew that this behavior was a red flag i'm very happy that sarah is away from him though and in a happy relationship with that guy wells from the bachelor also around this time the guy who started the rumor that the cops were at her apartment posted these doctored up aztecs basically trying to convince everyone that amanda was in fact pulling a joaquin phoenix that would have been rivening if literally one single person believed they were real but it was obviously fake so no one cared this is also when amanda would start non-stop tweeting about plastic surgery she revealed that she was born with a birth defect webbing between her eyes and she had nose jobs and surgeries to correct this because it was so embarrassing for her and this is why she's so adamant about tabloids using new photos preferably ones from her twitter that don't show her birth defect she posted about how she was between nose jobs so her eyes looked bruised and how she was going to get her whole face done saying there's a surgery for everything that's wrong with you late june after posting she had made it out of her most recent surgery alive a new shockingly bad photo of her that would become the new photo to use in every article is posted she of course denied that the photo was her and said that her face was morphed onto someone else's body someone with a round head early july she went on a twitter rant about how her nose was broken and making the bone under her eye protrude just hours later she walked into the manhattan criminal courtroom wearing a blonde wig dyed blue a tank top jordan 8 sweatpants and a rolex that wasn't set to the right day or time her appearance though was short she was formally charged with reckless endangerment and attempted tampering with physical evidence and she got her new court date the next day she was photographed in the same outfit from the day before sons blue shoes and wig this video shows her dancing through the streets and i don't know if she was barefoot she looks barefoot in the photo but then in the video it looks like she has socks on so in my official retelling of the events she was not walking around new york city barefoot now i suppose it's as good a time as ever to mention persiannyc27 this account was allegedly amanda's secret account she never denied that the account was her because the account never claimed to be her but it was one of six accounts she followed and she would retweet it and perez hilton responded to it and her one time and she replied and that account and some of its tweets are still up for you to see and the name nyc which is where she lived 27 that was her age okay back to my timeline so i'm guessing that at some point after the video of her running through the crowd took place she got a room at the ritz carlton in new york while she was there she allegedly made a girl that worked there cry and got kicked out for smoking in her room after bringing up a 9 000 bill over her 9-day stay when amanda left employees found a disaster in her room there was ash everywhere and the smoke alarm was pulled down and cut off and she left what looks like all of her beauty products now this is where the story gets a little fuzzy amanda was kicked out of the ritz on the 19th and she somehow got herself to california she has no vehicle and she has no license to get on a plane sources who know her family said that she told them she cabbed it and the drive from new york to la is a 42-hour trip which is a little under two days straight of driving so i literally don't know she either a gotten a bunch of cabs and just got them to take her as far as they could which is usually about 100 miles until she got all the way to la and i can only imagine how much that cost or b i don't even know i don't have another option i guess she could have taken buses but that would have been again a bunch of bus changes and there would have had to have been photos of amanda bynes writing a greyhound so on the night of the 22nd amanda shows up at a retirement village aka an old folks home in thousand oaks california the person at the front gate didn't let her in because they said she seemed so they called her a cab when the cab got there she got in and said get me the [ __ ] out of here i have no money so the driver kicked her out and they started arguing at which point the police were called she wasn't arrested but it was speculated that she may have gotten a ticket or something but who knows the next day at 5 pm she was photographed shopping at bloomingdale's in santa monica and at around 8 p.m she started a fire in a driveway in thousand oaks california i hate to leave on a cliffhanger but that's the end
