hi fellas and races stay the channel hit fifty thousand subscribers which honestly is just baffling to me fifty thousand is a number that's really tough to comprehend and all I can really do is say thank you to everyone that's helped make this happen and of course to offer this totally idiotic endeavor of a video as a nod to where the channel really got started 50,000 subscribers seemed like a big enough number to celebrate but 50,000 of anything is quite a lot now 50 that's a more manageable number and since the channel really grew off of the basis of a set o course and mod videos I thought it was a great excuse to feature some of the really popular mods that I've never made a video about the format simple take the top 50 rated mods on race department and talk about them we're starting off the list with a car that's only been available for a few weeks and it's already made into the top 50 the creator Patrick Marik's other BTCC creation and the Nissan Primera that you can see in these clips is right up the other end of the list and for good reason it's one of the best teen top mods available for assetto corsa and the BMW is every bit as good in my opinion so if you've even a passing interest in touring cars then this is a must-have moreover super touring was one of the best areas of BTCC and these cars were just made for a bit of friendly rubbing the VRC modding team are the most prolific source of f1 car mods out there so it's no surprise that a few of their creations make it onto this list the FW 31 from 2009 is perhaps not the best looking modern f1 car though the use of the word modern might be stretching a bit actually on that note I'm utterly incredulous that 2009 is somehow over a decade ago who will have that to happen anyway the mod looks the part and drives as well as any of the other VRC cars it's also comes with a nice suite of 2009 skins which is a rarity for this sort of release nice touch [Music] this is probably Sharla Claire's favourite Assetto Corsa mode scratch that this is definitely Charlotte Claire's favourite assetto corsa mod it's a surprisingly tricky beast a tame thanks to the combination of a wheelbase shorter than a shopping trolley over 100 ill-advised horsepower and a center of gravity that's located just in front of the chase camera all of this adds up to produce a platform that's slightly less stable than the average Elon Musk tweet but unlike 2020s answer to Howard Hughes it's ridiculous fun and there's no chance of that joke wearing thin much like Gary's other mods in the list straying back into the realms of the sensible but arguably no less fun is one of been Oboro skate rooms the Academy cars use an open diff and low grip tires with the suppose a dame of teaching car control but really what I think it's about is reminding middle-age Caterham owners that they're still a glimmer have light left in the decaying husk of their gray existence well I might be projecting a bit there anyhow it does keep the car lively which can only be a good thing this is a club racing base and extracting every single tenth of pace out of the car is surprisingly tricky but it's fun and close racing is almost guaranteed and surprisingly this isn't the only Caterham 7 that you'll find on the list sticking with a racing school vibe at number 46 we have the answer to the Google search is a racing free yes everyone's favorite a racing stable the Skip Barber formula 2000 was brought to a seto course at last year by Daniel Jimenez with about 25 horsepower more than the Caterham and weighing significantly less the Skippy when setup correctly can be an absolute blast to drive on the limit I do you think the stock setups a bit on the safe side but it doesn't take much to get the car to be a lot more lively and ultimately faster though fast isn't really the right word for the Skippy five cars in this is this is going alright this is one of the older cars on the list and as far as I'm aware it actually predates Kunis's versions of the r8 gt3 cars it drives impressively well and sounds way better than the kunais attempt thanks to the Fonseca sounds a really impressive car and a nice bit of varieties went to the gt3 collection if like me this mod passed you by this one is a favor perhaps because I'm a massive fan of the real car and it's 1970s cheese wedge aesthetic but I feel the AC mod lives up to my expectations of the car the group 4 version of the Pantera features the usual trimmings literally in the sense of weight reduction and figuratively in the upgrades the wheels brakes suspension gearbox and everything else propelling it forwards well sideways and occasionally forwards is a whacking great Ford v8 capable or claimed 500 horsepower though running a more sensible number in race trim of course when you add in the 1970s tires it is a bit of a beast not only is it a fun challenge to drive but it's a useful car for filling out those mid to late seventies sports car fields in assetto corsa this was arguably not Williams f1 s finest hour the early season Jamie Hyneman variant of the FW 26 didn't compare well to the previous years car though I think we can all agree in hindsight that nobody was gonna beat Ferrari and their dominant F 2004 this mod by the msf Italian modding team does a great job of capturing that mid 2000s f1 experience and the car adds a nice bit of variety running amongst those re skinned Cano's F mm and force that but I guess we're all running I've got a bit of a soft spot for small Lightman dare I say it agile single seater cars they make for a much better racing experience than they're popular but ultimately difficult to handle f1 Big Brothers formulas three and four are about the sweet spot I think but you can really still have close wheels wheel racing with a variety of skill levels and this mod sits perfectly in that range the formula agile is as far as I can tell a fancy mod but it's a very plausible one and more importantly the driving experience is really impressive in my opinion worth a look if like me you love throwing a small lightweight single seater car around just that little bit too much I have to commend the flow of this list because the Formula Renault 3.5 is a nice step up from the slower and less sophisticated formula agile or at least it should be this is the first car in the list by virtue of simulazioni while it does sort of drive okay there are a few oddities to contend with as you can see from the video there's no external sound something which is pretty common with mods from this source now in my experience furthermore it's running at the very old v3 tire model and as a couple of other issues as you can see due to the age of the mod if Formula Renault 3.5 is your thing then this is for you otherwise in my opinion there are just much better f3 equivalent cars out there at the moment I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everybody that's helped hit this milestone I'm not going to turn this into a big Oscar speech but thanks for the support guys you know who you are and of course thanks to everyone that watches the videos as well and now an Alfa we're into the top 40 now and starting it off in style with the beautiful Alfa Romeo Giulia teaser this popular mod is based off the road and racing derivative of the Giulia featuring a cheap frame chassis aluminium bodywork disc brakes all round and independent suspension none of which were features to be sniffed at in the mid 1960s the mod looks spectacular drives just as well and it's very pleasant on the ears too the driving experience is a lot more compelling than the some of the other sports cars of the period with the handling being a little bit more forgiving though only by the standards of the time remember when the International Touring Car Championship is a thing no I do though if you blinked you may well have missed it that series ran for just one year and the Opel Calibra was the championship winning car though the Alfa 155 MSAD c-class were also pretty damn handy but if you're not familiar you may be wondering what is there to get excited about a voxel rep 'mobile well this was the final year of DTM spent apocalypse and all three manufacturers were putting up budgets that would make the likes of Bernie Eccleston think guys do you think that might be a little bit over the top this meant that the calibra had very little in common with that dreary road-going car instead this four-wheel drive monster with a v6 that was reportedly capable of revving up to 15k rpm loads of Aero driver aids and clever electronics was an absolute grip machine and the mod drives liked it too just give it a go it'll put a smile on your face from one end of the touring car spectrum to the other now with the beautiful Alfa Romeo gtam this turn of the decade replacement for the Giulia GTA was simply put much quicker and if you driven the former car in assetto corsa then the experience will actually be broadly familiar the GTA M however is quicker feels tighter and more developed helpfully the mods been Bo peed so it plays well with Kunis's Escort RS which I really wish I'd remembered when I was recording this footage yeah well passio has done a fantastic job with this beautiful mod and a few seconds I have to discuss it here really don't do it justice I think this may be one of those mods that remains popular due to the subject matter sadly the Ferrari concept is in dire need of an update with the tire model in use being many versions out of date as well as several other issues listed here I'm sure this was a very capable mod when it was first released but it doesn't play well with modern iterations of assetto corsa from a Ferrari of the future - the last championship winning Ferrari math half it's so weird to say Kimi took six wins on his way to the 2007 championship with Felipe picking up another three along the way ten wins from 17 is a great return and it's a Kara have a lot of affection for despite my Woking ish bias and the VRC interpretation of the f 2007 lives up to the usual high standards the car looks behaves and feels very much like you would expect and if you're an f1 fan it's kind of an auto download in my opinion I for one am more than happy that we live in a world where a Caterham 7 place is higher in a list than a championship winning Ferrari f1 car if I recall correctly get correctly only then this was one of Ben O Bros at first Caterham mods and in my opinion it's still the most fun to drive the uncomplicated nature of no wait and modest power is always a crowd-pleaser and this transfers over to the mod forum perfectly and let's not forget it's been scientifically proven that Caterham z' provide the best racing I love the lamborghini miura I really do unfortunately this mod also falls into the category of it was probably excellent at the time but now it's very much out-of-date and the car is basically unusable in modern assetto corsa so you'll have to stick with a kunis version now this is like it a proper Skoda back from the time where Scott has had a reputation but the 130 RS has a very different vibe and plenty of success to boot in assetto corsa it works like a dream driving beautifully in sporting looks of age so much better than a lot of its mid 70s contemporaries on top of that the trained monkey modding team no really have made full use of the shaders patch functionality to make use of animated wife as indicators and just about anything else that can move I've been a bit slow on the pickup on this mod so don't make the same mistake I did this is the second mod from passio that's featured in this list and the mark 1 mini is every bit as good as the Alfa Romeo gtam the modern looks spectacular and capturing the iconic lines and finicky details of the mark 1 Cooper s perfectly and the driving experience is just as good as it's the sound but all of that pales into insignificance once you start flinging the lightweight 120 horsepower design icon around because the smiles per mile value really can't be measured and of course the racing it provides is top of knowledge to United Racing design only feature once on this list but it is with a very cool car I really dislike the looks of the c7 when it replaced the iconic c6 but I grew to love it and history is repeating itself again with the new one as well so I'm beginning to think that maybe I just don't like change anyway if you've been using you are DS cars for a while then this feels a bit like their older GT offerings mainly because it is one of our older GT offerings so perhaps it does feel a little bit dated compared to what's come from that stable sense and from other stables as well that being said it has been updated to the current tire and arrow models so it's aged a lot better than some of the other mods that I've been discussing here the c6 art was a fixture of endurance racing at the time and it does play well with other cars of the era some of which are included in this list so it's probably already part of your collection if you're into the recent ish GT see from an old Madhava last-gen GT car to a recent iteration of a slightly newer GT machine what the Porsche 911 GTA was purpose-built for the then-new united sportscar championship to run alongside the various gt3 offerings in the GT Daytona class the mod by ier simulations has very nicely with their prototypes pack which we'll be discussing later on in the video and it provides a nice snapshot of the u.s. endurance racing scene circa 2014 if you've driven any of the ie our cars then you don't need me to tell you that the 911 is an incredibly well put together mod and the driving experience is just about as good as you'll get in assetto corsa if I had to pick favorites from this list which I don't because I make the rules this one would definitely be a contender now the Toyotas era isn't a carver I'm overly familiar with in fact short of seeing it in one of the early Gran Turismo games I really would have no idea that the thing existed but while the oddball sera may have flown under the radar outside of Japan its creators Alberto Daniel Russo better known as a 3d R and Jason Coates a furred god feature very heavily in the top half of this list and if you're not familiar with their work you soon will be there are three versions of this car included in the mod the factory version a TRD tuned version and a full-on madcap time-attack car they all look the part and drive very well given well given the limitations of the sera as a platform anyway the williams fw 24 is the first of two cars from the 2002 season and there are two cars from the team that finished second in the championship it's also the second car in the list from MSF Italian modding team but I think I should probably stop referencing the number two now before it all turns to this is another nicely put together car that drives well perhaps though it doesn't quite live up to the standards of the VRC cars or particularly the formula cars from our SS but then again what does so what I've learned here so far is that 50 really is quite a lot this is another favorite mod of mine a whole host of 1970s us muscle in a variety of specs that really should suit the needs of most they're big but they sure aren't clever and driving these cars is especially the big of lakh variants is a real challenge a fun one but still a challenge what's more they sound fantastic which honestly is about half of the charm of these iconic muscle cars another car from the VRC modding team and this time the controversial McLaren mp4 22 which was excluded from the 2007 championship during the fallout from Spygate on track this car was quick and the mind-bendingly great combination of Alonso and Hamilton managed to claim four wins apiece however it was Kimi in the previously featured F 2007 took the spoils albeit by a solitary point back in the world of assetto corsa though the mp4 22 drives pretty similarly to the Ferrari of 2007 which well you really expect wouldn't you anyway these two cars with a few additional skins thrown in form a great basis for replicating the 2007 grid there are two say at Leon's that feature in the top half of this list both by Sean Clark this mod is the earlier of the two of us originally started by Tommy 78 if you're only going to get one sadly on in your life then the TC art which is featured later on in the list is a much more modern iteration and has the bonus of being a little bit quicker too but more about that later I love the original NSX but then again I would because it came out when I was six and well then there was the whole Ayrton Senna language probably didn't hurt matters he said Oh course I'm awed by someone yep someone is a pretty decent offering in my opinion and despite its original release back in 2015 has been regularly updated to keep things in line with the changes in the game and to improve upon the already solid foundations it's a supercar so if that's your thing you probably liked it the Peugeot 504 is exactly not like the Honda NSX in any way whatsoever the mod by x4 fabergé dispatch and content manager Fame provides two versions of the car one the regular production line model and the charitably name sport version the latter does add another 70 or so brake horsepower bringing the total to a little bit over three figures but the nought to 60 time still doesn't trouble the single-digits still it looks cool and banging about in these cars actually makes for some fun racing we're back into the territory of an old model that's not being kept up to date with this one sadly so probably best to stick with the kunais version we're skipping to 20th place now because this mod has two distinct cars the previous generation Daytona Prototype in two flavors and the Orica prototype challenge car this has long been one of my favourite mods for assetto corsa with both of the cars getting a lot of use first up the Orica which is a tricky nimble prototype that really focuses your concentration then there's the coyote and dallara Daytona prototypes which both wear the Corvette body kit which are just much more traditional feeling high aero prototypes and of course much quicker - there's nowhere near enough time to get into these cars here but as I mentioned earlier the ier car should be in your model collection if you've got any interest in modern endurance racing whatsoever Gary's back and arguably this is his finest work well at least as far as mods go anyway the transit may on the surface feel like a bit of a joke vehicle for assetto corsa but I contend that it's nothing of the sort first of all you can't dismiss the level of attention care and likely borderline obsession that went into creating this highly detailed mod moreover racing these things it's just pure joy this is just about the only vehicle in the list that I've had any extensive real-world driving experience with and let me tell you is ahead on Jean Clark is probably best known for two types of car the previously mentioned say at they aren't at a host of Ginetta safety fire super cup car is very similar to the well-known GT for offering but it's intended for the single make Super Cup Series so the car I'm familiar with it of course drives a lot like the GT 4 car and the mod drives decently as well we've had loads of fun racing the Ginetta so ver the last couple of years on off and I think honestly as far as Cup cars go this is one of the better offerings in a set of course of I have literally no idea what this car is or if the surprisingly plothole ridden back story is pure fiction or at least somewhat grounded in reality I think it would be fair to call it a concept car though it's unclear if it will ever be built all I know is that it's stunning once again we owe this monster a 3d RNAi for God who you'll remember from the Toyotas era earlier in the video and a further six cars yet to come this 500 brake horsepower flight of fantasy seems to take inspiration from a number of classic Ferraris but brings it all together to look impressively coherent and the driving experience is every bit as good as it looks this one is a must-have in my opinion I made a video about this car when it was first release and I enjoyed it very much at the time but since then it's had a few visual and driving tweaks that have made a very positive impact in essence the car is a 1.6 liter Ford Cortina engine bolted into achieved frame chassis with four road tires now it's not a car that's burdened with an overabundance of horses so those small 1960s tires make for a lively driving experience the Formula Ford has that much-needed combination of being fun and challenging fast cars with no wings and row tires are a well proven training ground for those hoping to ascend the single seater ladder and honestly this translates over very well to the mod the Lola t70 could certainly lay claim to being one of the most popular sports cars of all time indeed Lola cars made north of 100 of them in the late 1960s and loads of them are still kicking about on the historic racing scene the Martu Spyder variant featured in this mod was wildly successful in 1966 winning in the European endurance scene and dominating Canon the beautiful mod provides the car in two flavors one with the highly successful small-block Chevy engine and one with the less powerful but also lighter Ford power plum the car looks the part drives beautifully and is a must have 460 sports car enthusiasts right at the top of the video I featured the super touring BMW 320 and posited that it would likely become much more popular with the time this Nissan Primera mod is the reason for that and Patrick Merrick has done an outstanding job with both of these cars like the Beemer the primeira looks the part drives like the mad over-budget prototype disguised as a family saloon that it was which is to say it's outrageous fun and it's just such an engaging car to wheel around if you've not encountered sing our automotive design before then you're in for a treat imagine a company that exists with the sole purpose of taking some already impressive cars namely air-cooled Porsche 911s and making them better much better in fact the mod author by arch and benabroad features three variants of singer's modified Porsche 964 in 3.8 and 4 liter variants with the latter also being available as an all-wheel drive option as well the real cars boast sympathetically altered aesthetics and a whole heap of performance upgrades and this is reflected in the mod which both look stunning and drives beautifully is there a better car to cruise in assetto corsa arguably the most famous of Eddie Jordans Formula one cars the Jordan one nine one was also the team's first foray into top-flight motorsport of course the reason for the cars famous that it provided the debut for one Michael Schumacher though admittedly it was a very short debut still the car earned its place in history but beyond its brush with stardom the car was in and of itself highly accomplished ee so given the team's lack of experience in Formula One modest budget and it's a interesting variety of driving talent the mod is almost predictably by BRC and it may just be one of the most popular f1 mods for assetto corsa so there's really not a lot to say other than I like it Racing Studios provide the best content for assetto corsa that's really not a lot of arguments we had there however the majority of their output is quite justifiably paler however their v6 formula 3 car is available for free and should give everyone a good taste of what these guys are capable of the car is my favourite junior formula car in the game right now and with good reason it looks stunning drives every bit as well as RSS's headline-grabbing f1 content so just for me this is a definite must have obviously why did I think this was a good idea still some time now you'll find the a 3d R and a fig God just dominate the top ten of this list and amongst their numerous entries are not one but two Lamborghini Diablos eight Rodney would be most pleased with her outcome the SE 30 was a limited edition tuned version of the regular plain-jane Diablo conceived to celebrate Lamborghinis 30th birthday the jura edition took things one step further and bolted on a host of bits that made it into a track weapon and the expense of Road legality in assetto corsa what you get is mad italian 90's XS in digital form that v12 sounds amazing and driving it is well tricky but but again fun from a coke fueled fever dream of a car to something just a little bit more refined though arguably with much more competition pedigree the Lancia Fulvia HF by Rodrigo Sanchez pass and Mateus Rivas exemplifies everything I like in Aniceto course a lot not only is it more than competent but in reading through the backgrounds the creation of the mod that passion for the car and the project is obvious it looks stunning and thanks for the rallying heritage of the prototype it's definitely a car that encourages just a little bit of liveliness behind the wheel the final formula 1 car in the list is fittingly one of the most successful of all time the F 2002 wasn't even introduced until the third round of the 2002 World Championship but it went on to claim victory in all but one of the remaining 15 races that year it was also the car in which that whole team oddest thing happened at the Austrian Grand Prix where Ferrari needlessly swapped around the positions of their drivers while totally dominating the championship but who's still talking about that the mod was created by a team of people including salamander soldier burrito mr. beam Ferrari 64 and a bunch of others and the popularity and high rating of the mod reflect the quality of the project in terms of driving experience it's not a million miles away from the kunais Ferrari after 2004 I guess somewhat unsurprisingly this is one God Tyr car that should probably be in every connection the fact that a say at lyon could be mixing it up at the sharp end against the likes of the f 2002 and a bunch of supercars spoiler alert is a credit to the mod itself i mentioned earlier that this was the leone to get and with good reason the project was developed with input and data from a driver of a real-world leon TCR and further feedback from multiple other drivers giving it an air of her acity i don't know for sure how accurate the driving experience is but it definitely passes the plausibility test in my opinion and what's more it's also a lot of fun these are interesting cars to drive high grip and good cornering speeds but you have to deal with all of the interesting handling character since that come with it being front-wheel drive what's more they provide great racing to and the skin pack features loads of community members what more could you want the next three cars form a pack created by a 3d R and I forgot who else I owned the first Need for Speed game on Sega Saturn so this release definitely claims some major and the stouter points the three Class B cars in the game are included the zr1 Viper r/t 10 and Porsche 911 and all three are beautifully constructed drive well and sound wonderful too if the Need for Speed passed you by then surely you have some love for these early 90s sports car which all seem to have aged fairly gracefully the original RS are dallara f31 2 was the formula car to have for a very long time in assetto corsa and like the real thing the f31 7 is an incremental improvement on its predecessor this is a very popular car thanks imparts the online competition aspect that surrounds it but it's also very competent in its own right the three-one-seven isn't my favourite Formula 3 car in the list and made that pretty clear with my sentence about the racing studio car but it is very much a car to have especially if you want to get involved online so that brings us to our winner winners once again a 3d R and Ava got delivered the goods and in this case the goods are a pair of mental early 90s v12 Italian supercars the 5:1 to TR was a late upgrade model to the testa Rossa platform providing a bit more power a few creature comforts as well like working clutch better brakes better tyres and importantly probably relocated climate controls of actual importance well at least to me is that this car was on the cover of the Need for Speed alongside the other car in the pack the Diablo VT speaking of which the VT was the four-wheel-drive variant which is well it's actually rather appreciated when you get around to driving the thing as you would expect for the top rated cars on race department these two both drive eautifully and if for some reason your eyes are betraying you and no longer doing that part they look stunning as well what's not to like so guys that brings us to the end of this rundown of the top 50 rated a set o course of Car Mods on race department if you made it to the end then well done treat yourself to a refreshing beverage once again I'd like to say thank you to everyone that's helped me out along the way you know who you are and to everyone that watches the videos like subscribes and all of that good stuff you guys are very much the best fans despite what a certain six times world champion has to say about other collective groups also six times when did that happen anyway thanks for watching guys and enjoy the rest of your day
