hey guys I'm burs and this is your Star Citizen 3211 tutorial we have a lot to cover in this video but I work hard to make sure it's as short as possible while packing it with as much info as I can so please utilize the description timestamps if you need any specific info or want to come back to it if this video did help you out make sure to subscribe to stay up to date on all the info news and gameplay in Star Citizen so quick 30 seconds before we jump in what is Star Citizen in short Star Citizen is a massive open space Choose Your Own Adventure sci-fi Sim that's working on becoming an MMO there's trading mining bounty hunting dog fighting box delivery FPS Salvage racing you can fight players and NPCs there's medical looting and more but the most important thing to know is it is early access and you are going to run into problems the good news is there is tons of people who are are willing to help you check out the link to the star sistant guide system in my description or you can ask me live on Stream So now that we have that out of the way the first thing you're going to do is head to the website robertsspaceindustries.com I have a link in my description using my referral that will take you right there at the top you'll click account and then enlist now if you use my link you're going to have the referral code already filled in if you're lucky enough to be watching this video between November 17th and 30th you you can play the game absolutely free and rent different ships from different manufacturers every day at the Tobin expo at Microtech this event is called the iae or The Intergalactic Aerospace Expo and it's an event that cig does every year to show up their ship manufacturers in game so if that's you for now you can skip to the timestamp PC requirements after you make your account you're going to head to the pledge store personally I'd recommend the Aurora for Budget the cutter for the best overall starter the tit for the best combat starter and the cuy is the most expensive ship I'd recommend you buy with real money especially since you can earn ships in game extremely easy and you can also wrent ships so unless you want to go above and beyond and support the project there's really no reason to spend more than $45 so for this tutorial we'll be using the Aurora after you checked down you're going to click play now at the top right it's going to give you a list of requirements you want minimum 16 GB of RAM 32 if you can it does help a lot and you definitely want an SSD for Star Citizen please do not put Star Citizen on a hard drive you'll need a decent CPU and GPU but if you're curious on how your specs run Star Citizen check out the Telemetry link down below once you have all the requirements done you can click download now after this you're going to install the launcher get it open log in and once you launch the game and you're at the main menu you're going to click the settings in bottom left on brightness gamma in contrast I typically do 5050 55 Pro tip though if it's hard to see because it's nighttime and you do 80 and then 70 you can see way better this will hold you over while we're waiting on night vision in the game I run borderless window and I run all very high settings the only thing I run on medium is planetary volumetric clouds this will give you a huge FPS boost in places like orison and pretty much every major Landing Zone I put my field of view at 100 motion blur off vsync no unless you're streaming sharpening and chromatic aberation at zero and film grain no back on the main menu you have two options Arena Commander which is dog fighting and FPS practice and persistent Universe you'll go ahead and click on that after that it's going to ask you to build a character you can spend a lot of time here and you can always come back and hit character customization on the main screen to edit it more so for now we're just going to click okay there is a tutorial that's going to show you how to eat and drink and fly but we're going to skip that I'm going to show you how to do that instead after you click the Stanton system there are four places you can spawn Area 18 lauraville orison and new babage we're going to spawn in new Babbage because it has all the stores we need plus it's beautiful keep in mind that you can only select your starting residence once after that you're going to log into wherever you last called for landing or where you set your spawn bottom left is where you choose your server region but for now we're just going to click best now that we're ready let's launch into the persistent Universe the very first thing you'll notice in this game is you're going to interact with a lot of stuff you do this by holding or tapping F or in this case you can hold y to get out of bed and the next thing you'll interact with is the door so walking around by default you're pretty slow if you scroll wheel up your character is going to start to move a lot faster then if you hold shift you'll run even faster than that this also works when you you're holding boxes so let's use our new legs to run over to the elevator in Star Citizen there are a lot of signs and typically they are pretty helpful a neat trick is if you hold F and then scroll wheel forward you'll be able to do this kind of digital Zoom to read signs better once we're in the elevator we'll click on Lobby heading out you'll see two places one is the hospital and we'll talk about medical here in a minute so first we'll head to the metr loop two destinations here we have the Spaceport and the commons we're going to head to the commons so we can gear up I'm just showing you how and where to buy stuff so don't feel like you have to buy armor or weapons right away you can always loot your gear also keep in mind that almost every space station in the game has an armor and weapon shop in The Galleria so feel free to buy gear as you need and loot everything else so while we're on the metr loop I want to show if you hold F and then right and left click at the same time you bring up your quick interaction wheel you can do a lot of stuff in this personally I don't use it a lot but the most helpful thing is the status system bottom left you can see your drug blood level your hydration food body status if you have injuries your temperature and oxygen so if you ever need to figure out any of that stuff quick you just F and then left and right click anything you can do with a key Bine you can also do in here so off the tram and now at the commons there are two sides there's the prominon to the right which is the more fancy cosmetic food side and then there's the plaza which is where all the good stuff ship parts weapons are so that's where we want to go if you head in and then to the left both places we need are right here shuin Interstellar in Center Mass we're going to get our armor from shuin Interstellar and if you look up that's the station we're heading to later we're going to be buying the morav armor in the armor tab or use the search bar it's actually really good keep in mind you always have to equip an unders suit first before equipping any armor you can get those here at the shop and you can get undersuits anywhere they sell armor now once you get a little more money you could get 10 sets and buy them and have spares ready if you die but since you're just starting out let's just do one set for now keep in mind that if you die you can be looted you can loot yourself your buddy can bring your loot back to you but if you go down those items are up for grabs this doesn't include chips but if you have items on a ship and it explodes that loot will be in a box that is up for grabs as well star citizen is a nearly full loot PVP game all right so now that we have our armor let's head to Center Mass find one of the consoles on the left or right side and then click on personal weapons you're looking for a weapon called a P4 AR this is a really easy to use rifle that hits really hard you're also going to buy a Delta site and a lot of P4 mags make sure to utilize the search bar it is really helpful the last thing you need is med pins which you can find under the miscellaneous tab or you can just search Med or or me and they will pop right up you want to buy about five or six of these it's always good to have spare Medical on you it's dirt cheap and you can never have enough you can also buy a medical gun from the pharmacy that you can use to heal yourself and others but more on that later now that we've bought our gear we're going to press I and that's going to bring us into our inventory system you can see at the top here there's a filtering system that is actually pretty good you can sort by undersuits armor weapons clothes ammo you get the idea we stored by armor here and there's a couple of ways you can equip yourself you can either a drag the armor onto your body or b double click them you can also right click and equip there's also a move all in a quick move that is bound to left shift and left click this can be really helpful if you're coming back with a lot of loot or Mina bles and you need to drop everything off quickly there's also now proximity looting so if you're mining or need to pick up something off the ground quick you can just pull it into your inv ventory or onto your body now that you know the basics let's equip our weapon and also our weapon site if you double click it it is smart enough to know to go onto the weapon or if you want to manually place it you can drag it on and off yourself when it comes to ammo and consum you'll see there's an option to either double click to equip or you can drag it onto the slots labeled 1 through 4 1 through 8 however many slots you have available the dotted circle around these slots are actually the capacity of the ammo so if you have half a MAG left it's only half dotted so let's equip some Med pins and ammo and bring the rest with us it is always good to have extra food and especially water are good to keep on you as well except do we even need to hydrate is it propaganda by big water I heard 100% of people who drink water die coincidence I think not Jokes Aside it's good to keep a bottle or two on you while questing it's going to save you a lot of time best way to drink or eat is to right click carry on the item give it a second or two to appear in your hand and then remove or drop your helmet then just hold left click this is going to eat or drink the whole item so now that we're hydrated fed and geared up we're going to head out the same way we came in down the metr loop into the Spaceport once you get off the tram you're going to go up the elevator and through customs you'll head up the stairs and you'll have a few areas here we're going to be focusing on the hangers and if you look behind you have ship rentals as well you can rent ships in Star syon 4 pretty cheap new babage mainly has origin ships but each major Landing Zone cargo deck and refineries have their own rentals refineries and cargo decks can always rent the cutless which is one of the most useful ships in the game but we're not going to rent anything right now so let's head away from the rentals into the hangers these consoles right here are asop consoles you're going to get really familiar with these this is where all your ship ships are you'll be able to see the name of the vehicle the information if it's stored destroyed where it's at what kind of ship it is it's crew cargo and then you'll be able to deliver and then retrieve the ship if you don't know what deliver it is essentially it puts your ship in limbo until you first call them out on a new patch once they're called out they can only be reclaimed or retrieved we're going to select our Aurora and head to the hanger once we get to our ship we'll be able to interact with the door open it up and then you'll just walk right in press on the seat to sit down now before you do anything I'm going to give you some suggestions in your options open up your menu hit options and click keybinds on the top right then bottom left click Advance control customization toward the top left you're going to click the drop down that says vehicle and then cockpit for flight and system ready you're going to change this to R right now it's right alt in R which is awkward and it's not going to affect any other keybinds in the game just just trust me then go all the way down and you're going to bind a control called call ATC I think by default it's a left alt and in but you're going to bind this to F3 or just something that's easy for you this allows you to call and open your hanger without opening your mobiglass and trust me it is worth it personally I'd recommend for easier control in Options under game settings about halfway down you want to turn down the setting called pight vjy range to eight and eight and then make your dead zone two lastly I'll explain in a second what this does but put your pilot Vector indicator to always on next if you hold F you can interact with the dash in front of you fly ready is what you're looking for but if you press r or R Al and R if you didn't rebind it that's going to power on your engines and power now you might be wondering how do I get out of the hanger well you're going to have to call to take off off so if you press F3 or left alt and in if you didn't rebind it that's going to call ATC to open your hanger and take off you can press F4 if you want to switch to third person and hold Z while moving your mouse to pan around personally I think flying in third person is a bad idea cuz you don't have your HUD but a lot of people like landing and taking off in it now next you can gently press space bar to go up left control makes you strafe down a will make you strafe to the left and D will make you strafe to the right s will make you fly backwards and W will make you fly forward are going to be your rolls now if you look in the middle of the screen and you move your mouse up down left or right this is how you're going to pitch and yaw your ship you'll see your vjy moving around and the harder you pull your vjy in a direction the faster your ship goes if you want to stay stopped you need to center it once you're out of the hanger you can press in for landing gear GE then if you strafe or fly in any direction while holding shift that's going to activate your After Burner if you hold X this activates your space breake the tvi or thrust Vector indicator is this shape on screen this will always show you where you're flying if I strafe up it moves up if I strafe left it moves left so for you here's what that means if you're flying very fast at a station and your tvi symbol is not on the station you will will not hit the station if it is on the station you are going to die it's something you're going to learn over time but I would get familiar with this symbol on your screen next thing you're going to want to do is you're going to look at your speed gange which is located right here on the left if you scroll up and down this square is your speed limiter you can set or increase your speed to whatever you want to especially when you're flying in space and you want to make sure you're not approaching things too fast when in doubt scroll wheel down but as as you get more comfortable flying you can scroll all the way up or you can disable it in settings that's what I do next bottom left we have vold we have coupled ESP and gear VTO or vertical takeoff and Landing is a mode on ships with vertical engines that you can swap from vertical to horizontal you can do this by pressing K on any ship that has it coupled is activated right now and this always means your ship will Return To Zero no matter what if you're in space if you're atmosphere if you're coupled your ship will try as hard as possible to return to 0 m a second now if you press C and decouple you're going to notice I start to fall immediately this is because I'm being affected by gravity now if I'm decoupled in space I'll literally just fly in a straight line forever but when you're just getting started and learning to fly I would always leave coupled on and lastly we have our landing gear you'll probably only use this when you're Landing since landing gear automatically stores when you do Quantum jumps and for the most part ships don't really fly differently with landing gear down next up on the right you have your altitude meter which we're going to use here in a second and top right you have your weapon capacitors bottom right you have your hydrogen fuel which is used for flying around regularly and your Quantum fuel which is used for Quantum jumps which up next we're going to be doing our first Quantum jump so if you press B it's going to spool your Quantum Drive if you look up the station we're going to which is Trester with the dotted ring around it and this kind of round Square icon you'll see it says Exit atmosphere so you got to fly higher minimum jump range on Microtech is about 11k so we're going to head to that altitude while we're flying out of atmosphere let's talk about the top right hand corner you have two symbols one is a bullet with an X through it which means armis zone now all Landing zones are non-fire zones that means you cannot fire at all if you try to fire it's going to say weapons rest restricted due to armac Zone but if you go to somewhere like Trester where we're heading you will be able to fire but you'll get a crime sta for shooting anyone who's not a criminal now what the little satellite means next to it is you're in a monitored zone so if you commit a crime or do anything wrong the uee is going to know about it immediately and you're going to get a crime stat and we will talk about the criminal system here in a little bit now back to our Quantum jump we are at the right altitude we could press B and once it's done calibrating we could hold B to initiate but we're actually going to use our stor map here if you press f2 you're going to see on the map Microtech and that little green triangle that's you so if you double click on Microtech and zoom in zoom in zoom in until you see about what I see you'll scroll wheel forward and if you hold right click you can pivot around till you see Trester double click on that and you should see a dotted line this is when you're going to want to a hit set route at the top when that line goes solid green it means you're good to go and you can see now there is no other Quantum destination in the sky you'll hold B and we will Quantum jump to Trester the star map is supposed to see a big update soon so if it seems janky well it's because it is on the way into Trester make sure you're not going too fast we're going pretty fast here so we're going to go ahead and hold X for space break but we're not slowing down fast enough so if you want to slow down really fast what what you can do is actually flip your ship completely around and boost the opposite way the reason why this works is cu in Star Citizen your Boost is mainly in your forward thrust bonus points if you boost towards your rvi which is this symbol which is the opposite of your tvi and it will slow you down the fastest once you're close enough to the station you'll get a red prompt that says call ATC press F3 or left Alton in if you didn't rebind and you'll call for landing the same way you called for takeoff the icon on your pad will look like a little downward arrow with a circle over it make sure you press in for your landing gear and slowly land in your hanger then press I to engine off it's a good habit so you don't waste Fuel and your Shield stay up and there you go our first successful Landing hold yde to get out of your pilot seat and let's head inside to set our respawn now every station is going to look about the same you'll have your asop terminals maybe a food or snack bar across but around a corner or very nearby there's always going to be a medical clinic the reason I like to set my spawn at a station is because instead of a planetary Zone they're much easier to get in and out of you don't have to exit atmosphere and you don't have to ride a tram every time you die which as a new player you're going to die a lot when you walk in the clinic there's going to be two kinds of kiosks I'm not really sure why this isn't one kiosk but star Citizen's going to Star Citizen this one you can request a room if you're injured you can lay down and fix your injuries and this one is where you set your spawn it's where you keep your DNA for your clone if you die well when you die you're going to click transfer imprint and you can do this at every major Landing Zone in almost every station in the game but you can only have one spawn set at a time now whenever you die you're going to respawn at this clinic so if we do something really stupid like I don't know go into space without a helmet and there's the status system bottom left activating telling us we only have a few seconds to live but when you die you're going to wake up in the clinic now keep in mind you do get a free unders suit when you die and it is very stylish you can press I to access your local Clinic inventory take off your medical gown and as a tradition throw it on the floor and equip your free unders suit make sure to equip this right when you get out of bed because the clinic inventory is limited to the space of the medical rooms so if you go too far you will not be able to equip it heading out of the clinic you'll see that every clinic in Stanton has a pharmacy the most useful medical item in game being the paramedical device it's basically a reusable medical gun that can heal yourself and your teammates you can either left click on your teammate to heal them or you can hold B and that's going to switch modes and heal yourself here you can see we have a tier three injury tier one being the most severe and three being the least severe if you don't have a medical ship you'll have to head back to a clinic and use one of the medical Bays we talked about earlier to get rid of them but if you can't get back right away in the advanced mode of the med gun if you click Auto it will fill the drugs in you need to keep you or your friend stable for a few minutes while you get back to the clinic but be careful it's easy to overdose if you're by yourself and you go down you can press M to call for a medical Beacon or you can hold back space to respawn immediately to whatever Clinic you set your spawn at just remember the rule of Los your item still applies even if you hold backspace or even if you log out once you're down star sist has a dynamic which means it's additive the more combat you do the higher the timer gets but it's maximum 10 minutes combat timer so if you log out in the middle of combat whether you're down or not you are going to lose your stuff Med pins are also quick and easy to use if you tap C to pull one out or you can hold C to pick which one you want Mouse one will let you use it on yourself and mouse 2 will let you use it on others remember the med pins will need to be replaced after using them just once and remember if you buy items here it's only available in the local inventory of the clinic so if you buy them here make sure you equip them here in the same vein but with your ship if you're out doing a mission and your ship explodes and you don't die you can always log out if you're outside of combat and you'll be right back with all your stuff Stu at the station I would encourage you only to do this if you're stuck and not to avoid combat or I don't know call for someone to pick you up in global you might get some cool gameplay out of it and some people won't even make you pay for a ride either way once you're back at the station you're going to see your ship at the asop terminal but it's going to be in a destroyed State you can reclaim it by pressing file claim here it's going to take a minute and you can expedite it if you want which means you're going to get it faster for a fee and and last thing we have to do before we go do our first mission is the mobiglass the mobiglass keeps all of the essential Player information if you press F1 that's going to bring up your name your money your crime stat all your basic info bottom left the first thing you're going to look at is Comm link this is where you can see your Global chat you can see everyone on the server who's in the global list who's in your party you can add and remove friends here invite people to your party but for an unknown reason you can only only add people by name on the main menu so if you're trying to party up with friends make sure you do it and add them before you launch in top right on comms under manage you can choose to send chats to visor you can change chat color you can change the volume of your incoming and outcoming microphone the default key for push to talk being numpad plus vooping is super fun in this game and teaming up with people feels like very much Daisy next we have the vehicle Loadout manager this is where you can make upgrades to your ship after you've bought components now keep in mind you can only change ships that are in your current location and are stored you can also only use the components that are at your current location so if you buy a shield generator across the system from new babage well guess what you're going to have to either bring the ship there or reclaim it at the location next you have knicknacks which is where you can see all the physicalized inventory you have and where it is on the map so if we drop a weapon and prestler inventory we can see it here in knicknacks 2 I hardly ever use this but some may find it helpful for tracking items down then we have the biggest reason to use the mobiglass the star map which like I said is hopefully getting an upgrade soon on the star map we have lots of lrange points in four planets we have Microtech HST AR Corp and crusader they all have moons and different locations that can all be explored you can double click on any point of Interest and it will Zoom you in sometimes stations are hard to click on but if you double click and then click on them that works best if you hold left click you can pan and if you hold right click you can pivot to navigate the map a little bit better if it bugs out and it's not working and it's all black like this you can always double right click and that's going to bring you out to a zoomed out view keep in mind you have to be in a ship to set a route on the stor map but when you do the number below this box in the top left is the number of seconds your QT travel will take so 120 would equal 2 minutes next we have the mo Trader which is how you send money to your friends or people you've gotten services from in game with a tiny tax see here I can send money to I warwolf this next one's important we have the contract manager there is a bunch of different missions in here delivery search investigation bounty hunting General is typically where you find the lawful missions such as bounty hunting you can go to a bunker and shoot criminals who have taken over but in personal these are typically the illegal missions here we have a mercenary mission to take down uee which you guessed is illegal under accepted is your current missions and you can share them with people in your party by clicking the button bottom right history shows the missions you've done or failed and beacons is where you can pay other players to do stuff for you so for example you could set a beacon to personal transport to to Trester and sometimes people do it pro tip accept call the arms every time you log in you get an extra 500 a every bad guy you take down but make sure when you accept a new Mission you are tracking them or you'll be stuck tracking the call the arms Bounty instead and then you won't see any of your mission markers and lastly is the reputation app which we'll get back to since we haven't done any missions yet but this is where you can see the reputation and levels you have with different Orcs And people in the game game and that is the mobiglass now there are a lot of missions in Star Citizen and unfortunately not all of them are super easy for beginners so I'm going to list the pros and cons of a few of them FPS missions usually are easy and you get special loot like rail guns snipers lmgs and if you're doing bunker missions with Max rep which takes a while to get to they pay out 95k per bunker which can be very good money and if you've ever played an FPS game you'll pick them up super easy the only downside is if you do a mission at a criminal bunker you have to either a land 2 km away from the turrets and walk in B kill the turrets which can be very hard in heavy atmosphere C dip in as fast as you can in fine nearby cover which might cause you to crash or have a ground vehicle on your ship you can drive in sometimes it's hard to tell by the mission description what kind of Bunker you're at but as you approach if it is hostile you should see a red message that says area under nin Tales control or something like that keep in mind friendlies in missions are supposed to have a triangle above their head sometimes it bugs out and Ninetails is always purple and pink colors probably the number one way you'll get Crim stat in this game is by accidentally shooting a security guard in a bunker next we have box missions which can be very easy there's no combat there's straightforward but sometimes it will ask you to deliver a package across the system for pennies next we have PVE dog fighting bounty hunting missions which are very straightforward but if this is your first time flying you might have trouble killing NPCs so fly carefully and I'm going to show you the best way to do that by highlighting one of the PVE bounty hunting missions but I'd recommend checking out every type of mission for the PVE Mission we're going to pick up the tracker training permit this will give you a random location in Stanton to fly to so little trick here if we keep abandoning the mission until it gives us something near Microtech you won't have to fly across the system and there's no penalties for this so you're looking for something either on Microtech or the moonar Cleo kopy or utopy once you've got one you want to set your route using the star map pressing F2 to open it jump to the location and before we get started we need to talk about combat in Star Citizen here's a quick overview capacitors are like batteries on your ship that give you extra power in either weapons engines or Shields using F5 to f8 you can switch between these full power to weapons is going to give you 30% extra shots if it's full power to Shields you get 30% resistance and full power to engines is going to give you 30% slower burn on your Boost but with all three you get a faster recovery when you're in that area with your capacitor however you're just starting out so I would keep this default with 33% split to each for now to make your life easier I'm going to recommend that you set some keybinds under settings in keybinds under Advanced controls find the tab that says power triangle assignment you're looking for the command that says either engine Shields or weapons and tap to increase hold to Max that way you're not Reaching Across your keyboard in combat I like to do one for weapons two for Shields and three for engines four to reset 1 2 3 and four are typically for the pinning targeting system which I promise you you're going to use a lot less than the capacitors next up is gimbals in and there is way too much ship customization to go over in one video but if you do have gimbals equipped in the vehicle Loadout manager here how it works is if you get a size three gimbal you get a size two gun if you get a size two gimbal you get a size one gun so on and so forth gimbals are available at most ship shops like Center Mass or dumpers Depot and if you do have them you're going to tap G to cycle through your gimbal modes the first is fix SL locked which I prefer and it's what all good Pilots use basically you your shots are going to go straight with your Crosshair if you move your ship your aim moves as well next is auto or Auto gimbal which is anything that's locked inside the circle the gimbals will help you track it's not going to be as precise as fixed but it's going to help you a lot when you're first learning for now to show you we're going to throw it on auto and get to work when you're approaching the Target make sure you're not zooming at them put that tvi to work we talked about earlier and make sure it is not straight on top of them the second you see the red marker you can go ahead and in press T to Target them or press alt T to untarget then you're going to aim for this little guy which is called the PIP or predictive impact point the PIP will expand when you're in the correct firing range which is usually around or under 1,000 M an easy maneuver to not get killed is to hold space to strafe up while pitching down to stay locked under your target while moving around them like so but if you're taking too much damage hold shift plus W in a straight line to leave until your Shields come back depending on your ship this will not always work and the Aurora is terribly slow on micr attack to fire missiles in combat you'll need to enter missile operator mode you can do this by pressing middle click then tap G to increase the amount of missiles the max you can fire is four right click to change the type of missiles if you have different ones and once they're loaded and the lock is fully green and wrapped around your target you can press left click to fire if you get missil while flying you'll get get this notification missiles are usually very easy to shake off in a small ship like ours by pressing H you can deploy one or hold to deploy multiple decoys and this works against all missiles how lockable you are depends on how high these three stats are infrared cross-section an electromagnetic signal pressing J will release a chaff Cloud that blocks the sensors temporarily but you have to slow down and stay inside the cloud to utilize it if you take too much damage you are going to go into soft death which just means your ship is going to turn off and you'll even lose gravity but since NPCs can't tell the difference between soft death they'll just shoot you like normal until you hard death and die soft death is a newish feature that allows for boarding piracy rescue and more survival to be viable using things like Escape pods would make a lot of sense once your ship is soft death but unfortunately the health of soft death is such a low amount once you're soft dead it basically means that you have a 99% chance of dying so for now it's just a quick stage before death back to our mission here if we keep shooting and once your main target explodes it is job well done you don't even need to kill the other NPCs unless you want to and one more great Mission I'll recommend is called seize the data it is a lawful mission for 50k that you will get in the personal tab it is only around Microtech and you'll get it periodically it's not always up but if you do get it you fly to a location board the ship find a hacking chip kill a few NPCs put the hacking chip into a database and then you'll need to destroy the ship you're supposed to self-destruct the ship but you only get a minute and 10 seconds to escape so if you're not confident you can make it out in time head to the pilot seat and then press o to turn off the shields exit the ship and get into yours and shoot the ship until it dies now if you're in a starter ship this may take a second cuz it's a big ship but you are at way less risk of dying or screw it have some fun hold back space to set self-destruct run like hell to your ship and Godspeed Soldier get out of there speaking of default chips if you're wondering about ship upgrades I'm going to have a link to URL in the description what URL is is essentially a weapon and component building website it is a beautiful Community project it helps you load out and build your ships with the best components possible I'll leave a few links down below of upgrades for starter ships and at some point if you can take the trip to hurl or Hurst L5 you can get the best size one Quantum Drive it's called the adlas it's available in the Galleria at this shop and it is 100% worth and for size two you'll be looking for the XL1 at Port Trester heading back to Trester after our mission you're going to want to make sure that you land and repair how you're going to do this is you're going to head into the Mobi glass and go to vehicle maintenance services all you have to do is Click each service you need and then wait until the message goes away and the last thing you need and you're all done with all the information you need to know in 3.21 the criminal system let's talk about it we're outside the station and we've decided to commit some crime my Brave Aurora is going to take on UE security and I have a feeling it's not going to go so well after shooting this turret you see top right I've become hostile to fix this you have to QT out wait a minute and jump back in now if it's not an accident and you keep on shooting you're going to get a crime Stat one these crime stats go from 1 to 5 five being the worst and one being the least 1 to two is usually payable at admin terminals once you hit a CS3 you have two options either one you can grab a hacking chip from Grim hex around yella and head to spk around selin find your way through a army of NPCs and turrets to clear your crime stat did I mention you'll have to turn off coms around sellin or you'll get more crime sta for shooting more security there sometimes this can be a pain especially for a new player so what I'd recommend is that you actually go to to cler you can do this one of two ways either surrendering at a kiosk or by powering down in a ship near a uee ship you can do this by pressing U the other thing is you can just let the station kill you once you die you'll go to k cler aka Star Citizen prison funny enough prison is the only place in the game if you die you keep your stuff so if you had anything on you you are totally fine if I head out of my bed and into the middle of the room you're going to see a console here with how long you have in prison now this can go up to 26 hours and believe it or not you can get out even with that pretty fast you might be wondering how well here's how it works 1 Merit equals 1 second so 3600 merits equal 1 hour you could just log out and wait for the timer to run out your timer does go down while you're offline but we don't want to log out so number two you can go to the work mines you can do mining which you'll want to look for the pink rocks hat aight these are worth 2 60 merits or about 2600 a rock keep in mind Haden night spawns more often past Route 7 pull out of your multitool using four then right click to aim and left click to activate your laser you'll slowly increase power by using left alt and scroll wheel till you're in the green zone out of the white without dipping into the red make sure to stay with the alt scroll wheel managing your power until the bar is in the green and it's full if you dip into the red just click Mouse one turn off your laser for a second and then try again if the Red Bar fills out completely it will probably kill you take advantage of the proximity looting here as well by pressing I and then scooping the gems right into your inventory the second thing you can do is turn Contraband in the best way to find Contraband items happens to be on the NPCs in the mines with you if you go past Route 7 you should see the comms turn off here you can take the NPCs out without raising your sentence and you can turn the items in here at the Contraband surrender or if you have gems on you at the or deposit or or lastly you can do maintenance missions in your contract manager you'll run a route it will tell you which route to run follow the signs until you're at the right depth and what you're going to do is clear the oxygen kiosk all you got to do is press this button and that gets you anywhere between 5 and 15K merits and lastly the final way to get out of prison is to escape escaping is not easy and it's a pretty tough jumping puzzle it took me hours to get it the first time but now I can do it in less than 5 minutes plus there's a new mission that lets you escape prison solo if you're interested you can get that past depth 7 in cler keep in mind this Mission does not always work sometimes the Ursa bugs out sometimes the chip bugs out it's hit or miss so if you're feeling lucky you can try it if you do try to escape good luck and that my friends is the end of the 3211 tutorial after you've gotten your feet wet there is so much more to do in this patch including salvaging vehicle tractor beams min in trading piracy racing and so much more and if you have any other questions feel free to come ask me live on Twitch anytime or leave a comment down below thanks so much for watching good luck in the verse godspeed and this is Burks signing off [Music]
