[Music] hi everybody finally the day has arrived no more leaks no more spy photos no more guessing now we can introduce you to the all-new 2021 ford bronco with this new bronco ford is looking to take the fight directly to the jeep wrangler and it already has all of the elements to do just that we're talking about removable doors a removable roof big tires and all kinds of great off-road equipment so in this video we will cover all of the features available on this new bronco and we'll tell you more about the entire bronco family that now consists of the two-door the four-door and the bronco sport we've got a lot of ground to cover so let's jump into it first up the powertrains there will be two different engines available with the two-door and four-door bronco the base engine is a 2.3 liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque the larger engine option is a turbocharged 2.7 liter v6 making 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque now both of these engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission but there is a more exciting choice you know i've been coming to moab utah for over 20 years and i still get lost and i still don't know all the trails but imagine if you could do something like take this map of the classic jeep seven mile rim and take it with you on your phone while using onyx you can you can download the app and without cell service using only gps you'll always know where you're at and you'll never get lost check them out by clicking on the link below ford has developed a brand new seven speed manual for the bronco now in everyday driving it will essentially be a six speed and that is because first gear is an ultra low creeper gear it is meant for getting out there and hitting the rocks and with that manual the bronco now delivers the lowest crawl ratio on the market at 95 to 1. there is one catch on the manual and that is it is only available on the smaller four-cylinder ecoboost the larger 2.7 v6 will only get the 10-speed auto so if you do want to row your own gears you have to get the smaller engine option now you know the engines so where is that power going well every single bronco sold will come with four wheel drive as a standard option but there are two different transfer cases and four-wheel drive systems available the basic transfer case is described as 4x4 with part-time selectable engagement basically it will allow you to go from two high to four high to four low then if you do go for the upgraded transfer case and the advanced 4x4 system you're gonna get on-demand engagement and you're gonna get a 4a setting for automatic four-wheel drive engagement okay now i know you want to get to the 35-inch tires and the real exciting stuff but i have to cover the trim levels of this bronco before we can get into that equipment because the way ford has set this up is a little bit different than on other vehicles the brand is offering six different trim levels of bronco technically seven the seventh is a launch edition now the launch edition there will only be 3 500 of those units the launch edition basically gets everything it gets all the best interior comfort technology options and all of the best off-road options that this bronco has available if you're really interested in the launch edition get your reservation in right now over on ford's website now let's talk about the other six trim levels so first of all you have the base bronco fairly self-explanatory no options on this one then we move up to big bend this is a bronco if you're looking for a little more off-road capability but with more focus on creature comforts then you get the black diamond bronco this bronco has more off-road capability than the big bend if you go for the outer banks model you're going to get the best style and technology the bronco has to offer and none of that off-road stuff then you can also get the wild track this is the broncos high-speed desert runner trim this thing looks amazing and it actually has a unique track it's a little wider than the other broncos to help with stability finally we have the bronco badlands this is the ultimate in bronco off-road capability go for a badlands and you're going to get every single one of those amazing 4x4 systems and technologies on your bronco if you want a wrangler rubicon competitor it's definitely going to be the bronco badlands now i mentioned already 35-inch tires and yes you can get 35s from the factory now on some of those packages i mentioned the 35s come standard but what ford has done here is actually really clever as well they're offering what they call the sasquatch package if you get the sasquatch package you're going to get those 35 straight from the dealership and listen to this sasquatch can be added to any of those broncos so if you want a base bronco but you want to get those 35s just sasquatch it up and you're going to get those big feet sasquatch isn't only 35s though it also comes with 17-inch bead lock the advanced 4x4 system and the better transfer case you're going to get the locking front and rear differentials as part of the sasquatch package and then you're also going to get the high clearance suspension with position sensitive bilstein dampers oh yeah and that accessories catalog guys the list is already over 200 items long and all of those will be available at launch let me tell you more about the suspension now so in the back underneath the bronco there is a dana 44 axle and there is a five link coilover setup now up front this is one of the major differences between a bronco and a wrangler ford has gone with independent front suspension it's a twin a arm setup unlike the wranglers solid front axle one of the disadvantages to that independent front suspension is the lack of articulation but that's something that ford has at least tried to address with a disconnectable sway bar in the front end of this bronco time for the off-road numbers and let me be clear here this is with the sasquatch package so all of these numbers are when the bronco has those 35-inch tires fit to it ground clearance comes in at 11.6 inches if we're talking about approach angle yes this bronco is better than a wrangler an approach angle which is pretty surprising at 43.2 degrees a breakover angle of 29 degrees and then the departure angle comes in at 37.2 degrees but all broncos are not built equally the base model gets a set of 30 inch tires and with those 30s on it this bronco only has 8.4 inches of ground clearance so yes the really depends on which model you get as to how much off-road capability you get now i mentioned 30-inch tires there's also a set of 32-inch tires that come standard on the black diamond and the outer banks the badlands model comes with 33-inch tires and then if the wild track comes with those 35s as standard technology is also going to help you off-road here in the bronco so first of all you have the new goat modes ford says goat stands for go over any type of terrain and of course these are going to focus the vehicle on one aspect of off-roading whether it be mud or sand or rocks the most fun mode of them all still has to be baja mode meant for just opening it up and flying across the desert now there is another really cool technology feature that's going to help you turn tighter off-road ford calls it trail turn assist it will essentially use braking and torque vectoring to drag the inside rear wheel of a turn when you're off-road so if you crank it to the right that rear passenger wheel is going to lock up and allow the vehicle to rotate around it once again allowing you to turn tighter when you're off-road if you're in the trees or something like that protection on the bronco comes from a full set of skid plates that is standard on every model a front bash plate is available and then rock rails are also available all straight from the dealer turning our attention inside utility and functionality seemed to be really important when ford was designing in this interior i absolutely love the big grab handles that are on the passenger side one up in front of you and one beside you ford knows that this thing is going to be bouncing around on the trails and they want to make sure you're secure in there another really neat feature is the device mounting bar that ford has put up on the dashboard this is going to allow you to mount your gopro your phone your gps and then actually move them around up there it's totally customizable and configurable it seems like a really smart solution for device storage especially in a vehicle that's going to be bouncing all over the place rubberized flooring is also going to come in the bronco and yes you can get optional drains so if you want to just pop the drains and hose this thing out you absolutely can even the buttons are all rubberized and sealed to make sure that if you get some water on your center stack it's not going to melt the whole thing down and for those days when the outside does come in ford is offering marine grade vinyl seats these are the same kind that you would find in a boat and they're going to resist both water and mold to make sure that even if you get wet things don't get stinky and gross inside your bronco for infotainment ford's new sync 4 system will be used in the bronco and base models will get an 8-inch touchscreen already pretty big for just base broncos while upgraded models can get a large 12-inch touchscreen in the center stack there's a ton of other tech features here apple carplay and android auto are now cordless sync 4 is full of features but guys we're tfl off-road so i want to focus a little more on the off-road when it comes to this infotainment and one of the coolest things ford has done is they've teamed up with a number of existing off-road map makers the companies that put out these gps maps that you can download and they have already been downloaded into the bronco so if you're heading to especially big famous spots like moab or if you're going to do the rubicon trail all of those trail points and heads are going to be right in your gps it allows you to go in and you can even make notes on the trail which will then be shared with other bronco owners and other users of those apps so really ford has focused on that off-road functionality and they've also brought it into their infotainment system open air off-roading is also a big part of this new bronco and yes the roof is fully removable as are the doors so on the two-door bronco there are three roof panels that have to come off two up front one big one in the back on the four-door bronco there's actually four roof panels that come right off to allow you to go open air now a couple of other things the rear glass is actually removable the rear quarter windows are removable too so if you actually want to leave your roof on but just take the glass out you can do that there is a soft top option available as well you'll notice the doors here on the bronco are frameless that should make them easier to take off and ford actually came up with a solution for storing your doors in your bronco first you put them in these bags and then they will actually fit in your vehicle safely and securely a couple other numbers i have to throw at you and then we'll talk about that bronco sport so tow capacity for the two and four door bronco models is pegged at 3 500 pounds while the payload rating is 1170 pounds for two-door models and 1370 on four-door broncos and something that you've no doubt noticed by now are those really cool integrated tie-down points up there on the hood now not only are they a great place to secure your kayak or canoe or anything else you have mounted up there in your roof rack but ford is also calling them trail sites essentially allowing you to see exactly where the corners of your bronco are and they offer some you know unique functionality and some cool style ford is taking reservations right now if you're willing to put a hundred dollars down you can get your name on a list to be contacted when the bronco is made available and when will that be well spring of 2021 is when ford says deliveries will begin and both the tudor and four-door model will launch at the exact same time pricing for the bronco begins at 29.995 in the united states whereas here in canada for the exact same bronco base model you're going to be paying a starting price of forty thousand one nine nine for that top of the line wild track model here in canada you're looking at a price point of about 62 grand and i didn't get us pricing on that model but if it's 62 here you're probably looking at mid 50s in the us for a top-end bronco model now we have spent a ton of time on that two-door and four-door bronco it's the real exciting story here but we can't ignore the bronco sport so let's go over this vehicle now and i will hit all of the high points now the bronco ii and four-door are definitely meant to take on the jeep wrangler and the toyota 4runner this bronco sport is aimed more directly at the jeep compass and the jeep cherokee that sort of compact crossover segment two engines will be available on the bronco sport the smaller of which is a one and a half liter three cylinder turbocharged ecoboost engine making 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque the upgraded power plant is a two-liter turbo four-cylinder ecoboost making 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque an 8-speed automatic is the only transmission choice though the off-road focused models will get additional transmission cooling and paddle shifters to help them out on the trail it is true that off-road ability is baked into every bronco sport as this vehicle is also four-wheel drive on every single model but if you want the ultimate in bronco sport off-roading you're going to want to get the bronco sport badlands the badlands comes with a set of 28 and a half inch tires as standard or an optional larger 29 inch tire with the big tires on ground clearance equals 8.8 inches while the approach angle comes in at 30.4 degrees break over at 20.4 degrees and departure angle at 33.1 degrees there are no locking differentials on the broncos sport but it can simulate lockers with its twin clutch rear drive unit essentially both of those two rear wheels and yes this is a front-wheel drive biased setup so both of those rear wheels get their own clutch to actually you know control the power going to them and that allows ford to mimic a locker seven different goat modes will be available on bronco sport just like the big bronco again each one is going to tailor this thing for a different situation whether it be mud sand or rocks now the suspension underneath the broncos sport is independent all the way around but if you go for the badlands model you're going to get uniquely tuned front struts and hydraulic rebound stops to help smooth things out when you head off-road a huge list of accessories is going to be available for bronco sport at launch as well one of the coolest has to be this bike rack that allows you to fit two mounted bikes with 27 and a half inch tires in the back of your broncos sport and hey if you want to go camping the broncos sport is ready for that as well clearly broncosport prioritizes on-road a little more than off-road especially compared to the full-size bronco and that's one of the reasons why every single broncos board model will come with ford co-pilot 360 the driver assist suite of technologies as standard equipment that means that every bronco sport is going to get automatic emergency braking forward collision warning blind spot monitoring lane keep assist automatic high beams and a rear view camera adaptive cruise control with stop and go and lane centering evasive steering assist and speed sign recognition are all available as well but those three are part of an upgraded package broncos sport models will be available by the end of 2020 so yes this small crossover is coming first and the base price for the bronco sport here in canada is about 32 000 well everybody that is it for this video i'm so excited that this bronco exists finally a worthy competitor to the jeep wrangler and it's clear that when it comes to off-roading ford really didn't skimp in any area so please go below leave me a comment let me know what you think of the bronco and while you're down there hit like hit subscribe and then come right back to the channel for the latest news
