Dana White has a few different speeds but his most beloved is fully unbridled scorched-earth Dark Phoenix saga rage when Dana White is mad Dana White is funny and lucky for us on this channel DFW has had his fair share of rants and ravings but today we're going to focus solely on fights that infuriated the UFC's commander-in-chief to no end resulting in a public display worthy of the Bostonians all-time great moments I don't even need to sell you on this one let's get right into it I'm Tommy from MMA on points and these are the ten fights that pissed off Dana White the most number ten Dennis Hallman versus Brian Ebersole UFC 133 the level of perturbed the Dana White was over Dennis Hallman's attire at UFC 133 was truly hilarious Hallman apparently lost a bet I'm not kidding he told Ariel Helwani that next week that he lost the bet that was you know that losing the bet meant that I got to wear some Speedos so for a professional fight on national television Dennis wore a blue speedo and while social media the commentary team and pretty much anyone watching had something to say about the choice of skimpy attire Dana White was going to put his money where his mouth was on this one awarding Dennis's opponent Brian Ebersole be first and only getting those horrifying shorts off TV as soon as possible post fight bonus of seventy thousand dollars Brian if you uh if you want to send me a couple G's for wearing those shorts I'd be really appreciative apparently white wanted to make it clear that speedos were best left to swimmers the media and attendants laughed but Dana ensured them that he was serious I'm giving out thanks for getting those horrifying shorts off TV as soon as possible bonus and I'm not joking and he did actually pay Eversole 70k for finishing the fight in the first round in a later interview white elaborated that he was furious the UFC staff as well as Hallman's own corner would even allow him to walk out with so little clothing on first of all I'm pissed off that somebody that works for me let him come out with those on number one number two how as a cornerman how do you seriously say dude this might be a bad idea you might not want to wear these out there he said it was the most embarrassing moment he's had as UFC president that he was horrified that it was as bad as it can get if only white knew in that moment what the rest of this list would have in store for him number nine Rico Rodriguez versus Randy Couture UFC 39 Dana White is known to have a penchant for hyperbole but when he says that the fight between Rico Rodriguez and Randy Couture almost ended the UFC forever he's not even kidding years later on the Mike Swift podcast you could tell Dana was still bothered by the idiocy of what took place the entire show was nearly canceled just days before the event when headliner Rico Rodriguez decided to get a massive temporary tattoo on his back for Golden Palace casinos to get that sweet cyber gambling sponsor money unfortunately for him the Mohegan Sun which was in fact not Golden Palace wasn't too hot on the idea of filling an arena with seventy eight hundred people and advertising a competitor's product and because the tattoo was not going to wear off before fight night the board at the Mohegan Sun told Dana and Lorenzo Fertitta that the card was off at this point white and Fertitta apparently worked things out with the casino I'm guessing in the form of the big fat check so the fight was allowed to go on and Rodriguez would win giant stupid fake tattoo and all at the time in zuphus ownership of the promotion pre tough boom a cancelled show would have sunk the company they were already hemorrhaging money and since they were fronting the bill for these shows no live gate and no pay-per-view buys would have likely meant the end of the UFC forever to have been a fly on the wall when Dana saw that temporary tattoo on Rico's back I'm sure it was an f-bomb field rant for the ages number eight Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin UFC 148 Dana White is not a fan of shenanigans especially when they occur on his broadcasts the UFC president always sits caged side for the main card of a pay-per-view and that's where he was when the third fight between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin ended at UFC 148 Griffin decided that his performance didn't meet his standards so he was just going to head back to the locker room before the decision was rendered Dana wasn't having that [ __ ] he chased Forrest down and by all accounts asked the former champion are you out of your [ __ ] mind get back in the cage which Forrest did and to his surprise was the winner of the fight via unanimous decision this should have been the end of this bizarre saga but it was not forced then hijacked Tito Ortiz his retirement interview and made it into one of the most awkward and bizarre moments in post fight history when asked backstage by Ariel Helwani what he thought of forests post fight tomfoolery he knew his answer was going to be so good he first ask is this live yeah okay I said I find and then proceeded to absolutely burn Griffin to the ground for about a full minute I said well next time you're upset and disappointed about winning do it in the back okay stay in the Octagon it's like professional suicide as far as what he did during Tito's interview Dana didn't elaborate too much but simply stated I'm not done talking to force yet force I gonna talk some more I bet that was a fun conversation I honest it wasn't thinking I'd I could see you guys have a ton of history I apologize I wish I could take that back you know I'm sorry number seven George st. Pierre versus BJ Penn UFC 94 Dana White doesn't seem to have too much of an issue with controversy so long as it can drum up interest in a future fight but the type of problem he had during the main event of UFC 94 between BJ Penn and George st. Pierre for the welterweight title was most definitely not that type of controversy between several rounds during the fight one of GS B's cornermen was rubbing Vaseline over the champions back which is of course [ __ ] illegal and in fact noticed it immediately white who was having a blog filmed during the event can be seen reacting to this massive [ __ ] cage side with Rashad Evans and longtime teammate of st. Pierre David Laws Oh as per usual when Dana White is not having it the hyperbole here was real I could be wrong but I believe the heartbeat was added in post and not actually the sound of Dana's angry angry blood flowing through his veins in Dana's defense one would assume that blatant cheating would be a massive issue and result in big [ __ ] trouble as he put it white spoke on the matter again during a UFC 95 press event and did not pull any punches do I think that he got greased yeah I do absolutely 100% think that that rather grease on them but I think George was trying to achieve absolutely not in the end though in sac decided in a hearing over the incident the GSP and his corner would receive no punishment for what his team called an accident and that was that we would never hear about grease gate again number six Conor McGregor vs. Habib Nomura met off UFC 229 look you can say what you want about how big UFC 229 was and how lucrative a second fight between Conor McGregor and Habib nurmagomedov will be because of the post fight brawl and you're right and Dana White is most definitely happy about that but when you go back and review his posts show interviews and press conference this is not a Dana White who's loving life and can't believe he just sold 2.4 million paper views in fact he claimed afterwards during the presser that he hadn't even inquired into how the pay-per-view did yet this is the most shook you're ever going to see Dana White and while he wasn't fuming angry and spouting off hilarious one-liners he was a level of upset that went so far beyond yelling it was just pure disappointment like when your parents find out you got a DUI or something white talked about how the event went so perfectly and how everyone in the industry should be celebrating but instead we're talking about what he called the top three craziest moments in his entire career I think there's a part of Dana that will forever have that 2001 mentality about proving that MMA is legitimate listen I I've been working hard for 18 years to build the sport many of you there I know there's a lot of media here tonight and some of you this is your first event I can promise you this is not what a mixed martial arts event is normally like and on the biggest stage he's ever presented the event ended with bedlam white just seemed at a loss the entire 30 minute presser a rare sight he did get a few classic lines in there though like when he discussed the governor running out of the building in fear the governor was here tonight the governor went running out of the building that's not good or when prompted twice by Brett Okimoto about how bad this moment was two bad night for the UFC for the sport two very bad night how bad pretty bad we're SuperDuper really super bad I mean the worst most UFC 229 Dana was about as beside himself as you're ever going to see and that makes it a worthy entry for our list number five John Fitch versus Josh Burkman world series of fighting 3 if there's one thing that Dana White hates it's referees who are bad at their jobs and there may be no referee more hated by the UFC president than the moustached one himself Steve Massa Gotti Lamaze had a history of screwing things up pretty badly while repping in the UFC and by mid-2013 white was done with it and took the opportunity to absolutely bury maza Gotti at a press conference over a fight that didn't even take place in his organization Josh Burkman choked out John Fitch at world series of fighting 3 and when he realized his opponent was out he stood up and celebrated Steve Massa Gotti kind of just stood there and didn't do anything until Fitch was an unmoving heap on the canvas be nearly 10 minute rant that white unleashed on the referee cannot be done justice with highlights alone it must be watched in its entirety but this was Dana at his top trash-talking pissed-off form on par with the Elite XC rant does anybody here disagree with me that Massa Gotti is a [ __ ] toolbox amongst the hits why does an impression of Maseratis internal monologue while Fitch's brain is being drained of blood and you see Fitch's arms go dead you see him go limp mascot he's standing in the corner pick up some bread [ __ ] milk he says Steve might be the nicest guy in the world who saves orphans on the weekends he might be the nicest guy in the world he might [ __ ] on us on weekends might save small orphans from [ __ ] disasters for all I know I don't know what the guy does but he sucks at being a referee and most importantly raves about how Nevada needs to step in and do something before someone gets seriously hurt the Nevada State Athletic Commission is gonna keep this [ __ ] guy around until he seriously hurts somebody that guy is dangerous and while his anger might be hilarious here it was also effective as later that year Mazda Gotti would referee his last ever UFC events and two years later be pulled from working major shows in general number four Kimbo Slice versus Seth Petrocelli Elite XC Heat seriously will anyone ever get tired of talking about or listening to this rant from Dana White in 2008 MMA was ghost chili pepper hot and everyone was trying to get in on that action including CBS Sports and their partner promotionally taxi their ace in the hole to combat the much more prominent UFC was street fighting legend Kimbo Slice and you know what it was working the event in question drew 4.5 million viewers if only Kimbo hadn't been kayoed in 14 seconds by Seth that's Roselli who then claimed in an interview the promoters told him not to take Kimbo down for some extra scratch Seth went back on that statement but not before a legendary interview with Dana White emerged on YouTube absolutely destroying Elite XE their owners Kimbo Slice and [ __ ] illegal activities in general that's [ __ ] illegal one of white's main talking points during the late-2000s was how the UFC was working to legitimize the sport so while the rant is fun and definitely an attempt to undercut his competition what's also very clearly and legitimately pissed off that a very high-profile MMA event might be marred by potential corruption guys want to come in take a piece of the pie and in it they don't give a [ __ ] if they destroy the whole sport you can't ever say that Dana White is your run of the mill company president number three George st. Pierre versus Johny Hendricks UFC 167 you could just feel the rage exploding out of every fiber of Dana White's being after the main event of UFC 167 he looked like he was about to tear out of his skin and like the building on fire by the sheer will of his anger the Las Vegas card ended in controversy when the welterweight title fight between George st. Pierre and Johny Hendricks resulted in a split decision win for the champion a shocking result to many in attendance including the UFC president who thought it was a clear win for the Challenger to add a bit of confusing salt to a gaping wound GSP weirdly half retired during his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan white was livid he called the batter the worst Commission on the planet in a Fox interview with Ariel Helwani and at the post-fight press conference like a man who had just seen bad judging level an entire city think the Nevada State Athletic Commission is atrocious I think the governor needs to step in immediately before these guys destroy the sport like they did boxing Dana said he was scared of having cards in Vegas now in addition to challenging reporters who scored the fight for st. Pierre does anybody here think that Johny Hendricks didn't win the fight Meltzer thanks George one yeah but what did you think it was one three and five did you see George did you see Jordan get smashed and hurt in the first round it's about damaged white was having none of G ESPYs quasi retirement you owe it to the fans you owe it to that belt you owe it to this company and you owe it to Johnny Hendrix to give him that opportunity to fight again st. Pierre would later report that while showering before the press conference his UFC title was taken from him and not given back after his time with the media was finished it's funny how little this event seems to be discussed today because looking back at Dana's reaction it felt like the entire MMA world was collapsing around us number two Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz Golden Boy MMA this one hit Dana in three distinct ways one he hates Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya with a passion normally reserved for anime - Dana and Tino have a long storied history of driving each other insane and three his good friend Chuck Liddell was coaxed out of an eight-year retirements only to be ko'd viciously when Dana forced him to stop in the first place because of how much head trauma he was taking on top of all that De La Hoya and Ortiz came out firing at white about his business practices prior to the event what I do I'm working hard to build my business and to take care of my fighters are you doing the same the third fight between Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz was truly the perfect storm to create an angry Dana White response and DFW used the full power of the UFC's media machine and their partnership with ESPN to do a wrath billed media tour of sorts absolutely demolishing Oscar De La Hoya his promotion and the fight before it even took place anytime someone fired back Dana would hop on another show and batter the fight his most unfiltered rant taking place unsurprisingly on the UFC unfiltered podcast and twelve of the professional fighters on the card made less than three and three what the [ __ ] are you talking about you cokehead junkie and you know what he respects the fighter so much he could even remember remember their [ __ ] names at the press conference presents Chuck Liddell in recent years white hasn't been the F bomb dropping no prisoners interview that he was in the late 2000s but this debacle of a fight brought it out in ways we haven't seen in some time Chuck Liddell was making uh you know four hundred thousand dollars a year from the UFC made 250,000 dollars to fight for Oscar De La Hoya Dana didn't stop after the card took place either going after the Commission that allowed the fight as well as De La Hoya on numerous occasions in interviews even as recently as last month when Dana was asked about the fight by TMZ sports the Commission that sanctions that fight Wow he still seemed absolutely baffled that it even took place it's nice to see that white still has that fire in him when something really pisses him off number one Anderson Silva vs. Demian Maia UFC 112 Dana you see you said a lot of big words today embarrassed disgrace is this your lowest moment as president of the UFC no doubt about it absolutely 100 was much more than a main event fight gone sour the card marked the promotion's first ever trip to Abu Dhabi and in the company's unending quest for world [ __ ] domination there were key partners in the region to be had if the UFC could impress so this card was stacked up to world title fights and the most unique and on spiring champion the sport had ever seen headlining Anderson Silva who decided to have a really weird fight with Demian Maia after playing with his food a bit more than usual in the first two rounds the spider did a whole bunch of nothing in the final three the crowd booed and chanted for Maia de Burgh leotta even gave Silva a timidity warning with a minute left in the fight even so the spider got the ud but Dana was so pissed off he left the event early and told Anderson's manager to put the belts on the champ working the first time White had ever skipped the ceremony after a title fight Dana called Silva's performance a disgrace and likened it to a jackass running around for five rounds he runs round like a jackass white also said he'd never been more embarrassed as UFC president and if the fight was the worst thing he'd ever seen in the ten years of being in this business Dennis Hallman speedo waiting in his future in the aftermath Dana shut down the idea of a super fight with GSP I don't want to see that right now he doesn't deserve a fight GSP something that Silva had been angling for inside of UFC 112 as part of his reasoning for choosing Chael Sonnen as Anderson's next opponent because he knew the American Gangster would push the action and not let Silva Coast all fight he certainly got that one right the fight left white with a bitter taste in his mouth about his middleweight champion that would take some serious time to dissipate Anderson doesn't interest me right now as far as him fighting again and what else I I can't even think about it right now you shout out to the pride of the West Midlands Tom Moore for putting his editing sorcery to work on this video follow him on twitter at tom MJ more thanks for watching please give us a like and subscribe we've got three new videos or more for you every single week let us know what you thought of the video in the comments below follow on point MMA on Twitter and have yourself a wonderful day
