Texas DROUGHT Exposing 3D FOSSILS In CREEKS!!

what's up everybody the diamond miner here i am back with another adventure at ammonite creek it's always good to see all of you back at the channel and i want to thank all of my new subscribers here lately we've reached over a thousand subscribers within a week reaching new records my channel is seeing record views watch time hours subscribers everything's in the green which makes it really nice and my hard work seems to finally be paying off in this video i'm going to head downstream i've got the kayak with me today i've got to keep an eye out for poisonous snakes black widows there's scorpions out here creatures that i need to look out for now that we have that out of the way let's get down to the creek and see what we can find and still no rain here in texas it's drying up really quick let's go take a look at the creek and see how much more it's dried up since i was here last it's been about a week maybe a week and a half i got to get the kayak unloaded you can see right here wow this is terrible guys look at this the last time we were here there was water actually still somewhat running but as you can see it's barely running not good yeah texas is facing a drought just like the western states not good we need rain really bad out here i want to do some surface hunting real quick around this area since i can now really see a lot more and we're gonna head downstream which is that way normally in my last videos i've been going upstream that's what i call the hot spot oh here's something there's a ammonite right up in there across this yep right there's one that would require the hammer drill the looks of all this being fractured i don't like that ammonite could be just a piece of one or cracked up pretty good this is crazy wow this is terrible the water is almost stopped running and this helps supplies dallas fort worth with fresh water not good guys here's a cool ammonite check that one out that's normally under three four feet of water this drought is exposing ammonites like crazy love being in the kayak we're able to check out spots we can't really get to like this one right here that's now exposed normally two feet under water not really seeing anything right there all right i'm gonna get my safety meeting in real quick we're gonna make this turn and we'll be at the spot all right everybody have a good safety meeting i did so we're gonna hit up this spot first it's been six months yeah like a year so it's definitely had some new erosion going on fish so we're going to start here and work our way down the stream let's get it we have made sure let's get out of this little boat let me find something up here as you can see there's lots of rocks coming out of that layer what is this oh it looks like an ammonite but you don't see a whole lot there yeah it's an ammonite just really really bad shape oh my gosh look at that big snake almost stepped on the snake guys he's getting some water right now now that's not a poisonous snake right there that's like a king snake or a chicken snake how big that snake is beautiful snake lots of snakes out here at ammonite creek i got to be really careful that guy's just getting in some water and he's all shriveled up he'll probably gain a foot or two crazy we've already seen a huge snake and i just started right there getting some water still beautiful snake it is not poisonous all right continue on with the hunt but i'm not seeing hardly any ammonites over here i've looked over here before i'm going to stay out of the tall brush and grab this time of year i don't know why i'm about to use my cheat energy because so far we're not finding no fossils only snakes we need to focus get that big huge ammonite oh look right here as soon as i said that we've got a small one nice little taco shape i'll keep it very cool beautiful snake he's slowly going in the water he's trying to figure out what to do oh buddy see that vibration i'm making stomping my foot you don't like that he's going under that rock he's just cruising around we're just making you famous buddy he's headed back up to the woods down here getting some water and hopefully a minnow almost to the spot i stopped right here for one i've never really got to search over here because it's normally underwater that's right you're catching on moving real slow looking for those uh long ropes that move oh there's a piece of ammonite oh here's something right here my shadow yeah another taco just another taco or a sheep horn never really had much luck over here but it doesn't hurt to go back over it there's something sticking out maybe some type of fossil yeah one of those coral reef plant some type of fossil all right nothing over here i'm gonna get over to the good spot get this show on the road i need more ammonites to give i don't put my stuff on ebay that's something that i do versus most youtubers is when i find stuff fossils whatever it is i give a lot of it away yes i have an ebay store and i put a few things on ebay but i'm not hurting for that you know i'm not trying to make money off all of my discoveries i like to give i like to see people smile i'll have to find something and say you know what i'm going to give this away to my patrons because they're the ones that paid for me to come out here if it wasn't for them i wouldn't be able to do this same goes for you youtube supporters it wasn't for all of you watching my videos it'd be pointless for me to come out here and make videos look at me sweating i'm not gonna come out here and sweat on my day off this is sunday my day off and i'm out here sweating for you guys risking my life being bitten by a poisonous snake or you know who knows drowning in the water i can easily drown in three four foot of water so once again thank you all just had to do a quick little thank you but it's time to get over to the good spot let's do it made it that's as far as we're gonna go so yeah the drought is happening here in texas you know last year when i was out here i was able to take my kayak in august all the way through this channel and down down the creek it's like as far as i can go we're definitely getting low on water and the benefit from it is look at all these rocks i get to look through and looks like there's something right here oh my gosh look at that one a little chewed up got quite a bit of mud on it so we're starting to see ammonites over here that's why i came over here all right we made it to the gravel bed i'm gonna search this entire gravel bed behind me see what i can find for giveaways for museums for my friends and once we scope all this out we'll head down the stream keep searching oh nice imprint if you like an imprint let me know and i'll even give away imprints oh here's a small ammonite in the water can you see it yep right there looks to be and it's a small one yes all right a complete ammonite not so good on that side but your little dremel tool the engraver with the chisel tip we'll knock that right off that's a nice giveaway getting the cooler in the shade taking a quick safety meeting and i noticed we have something right here yep look at that a nice taco down here and all this stuff kind of what was that y'all hear that i heard something yeah gotta make it do a quick indiana jones move i mean there's all types of cracks and black widow webs so here we go oh god i missed it oh my gosh oh wow check that one out that is a beautiful taco formation and a lot of you commented that you would love to have these i want to start saving these like i have in the past start shipping these out to my patreons or washers and up so if you become an ore washer or an element and gemstone collector you'll receive this and complete ammonites as well i just want to thank everybody for all the comments here lately over 600 comments on the new fossil discovery during the texas drought video and it's really hard for me to respond to that many comments but i try my best i try my best i am very limited on time i have to work these fossils out as fast as i can out of that concrete mud if i don't get it somebody else will continue on from where i left off and then get that fossil or damage it and nobody gets it so i have to use my hammer drill to free those up as fast as possible and i can't really carry all these big huge ammonites you know when i'm walking around like this all i have is my backpack and i'm trying to find several smaller ammonites in medium size to give away it's very expensive to ship out of ammonite that's 15 20 pounds to you know 50 subscribers i just can't afford that right now maybe in the future we'll get there oh check this one out huge piece but i am definitely seeing signs of ammonites i would love to get every ammonite that i find but i'm limited on time it's hot i can only carry so much so i'm trying to be selected of what i get and take home you know some of these like this they have beautiful fossils embedded like sand dollars to sea horses wow i can't believe how this is just dried up so i definitely need to check right here i never get to look right here oh there's a taco we've got a taco got a taco okay looks like we have somebody out here gathering ammonites check that out there's some that see other people come out here and they don't want those they're looking for the complete ammonites that's what we want i'm going to leave a pop-up right here some of you have seen the video where i come down this on the kayak and i hit a huge concrete block which i think it's that way down there it was like right up here there's a huge tree pile up right there a brush oh that's gone it's amazing what water can do another ammonite so we got one right there just sitting on that rock and it's a small one oh it's perfect for a giveaway nice detail on that one that side not so good but you know what it's a pretty cool ammonite there's a huge piece of ammonite right there look at that thing i think it's massive oh it's heavy very heavy wear me out just to go put in the kayak heavy i almost have this area cleared out and check out all this spot over here all right just about have this whole area cleared out and check this out yeah right there what is that a fossilized tea very heavy there's a lizard in this tree right here on this branch sticking out this lower branch he's gonna be quick real green looking oh he went up the he went up the branch really really green lizard oh and there's an ammonite look at that oh i got a little bit of detail on that side as well cool that's a good giveaway right there you know just get the video at the 500 likes all right put that in the backpack we are now too far away from the kayak to put it there don't get me wrong if i find a record-sized ammonite complete i will put my backpack down and carry that sucker to my truck i'm seeing pieces of ammonites everywhere wearing some good stuff if you've noticed all these rocks are about the same color white tan looking bleached i don't know how to really describe it uh i see this and i think to myself what is that it's so heavy i can't even move this rock okay it took everything i had but man that thing is so heavy you know what type of rock this is please let me know in the description below get a meteorite some type that's heavy and that's the only one i've seen there's the last gravel bar not much there we are now going to search all of this and sure enough right off the start we have ammonite do you see it yep right there oh yes a complete little ammonite oh my gosh this is so first looks like we have something right here that popped out of all this packed gravel maybe not maybe just washed up to here but right there man i can't even oh yeah it was definitely in that gravel layer this stuff is so hard packed i mean look at that i can barely so man it's in there something here to kind of dig with oh yes definitely in that yep this ammonite come out of all of this so even in all this gravel it could be an ammonite that's from the flood it appears to have mud on the other side [Applause] yep no go some of you asked why don't i bring a hammer and just knock some of that mud off that way it's lighter to now carry those bigger ammonites that mud most of the time won't come off with a hammer it barely comes off with that electric hammer drill that's why i bring that drill because i don't want to be out here all day long and hitting it with a hammer you're taking a chance to break it in half it takes a air chisel to get that stuff removed precisely to where you do not crack it and that takes days and days and days all right just about got this side i'm gonna now walk down that side and get the backpack and then walk back make sure i didn't miss anything oh my gosh water wow we have water oh do you see what i see do you see what i see that's right another small ammonite all right it's complete a little bit of mud on that side oh wow check that one out another giveaway that's strange oh pieces pieces found several small ammonites on that last gravel bar and i've walked down the edge over to this gravel bar we've got all that to look at and then all of this that gravel bar not one thing somebody beat me to it so right now i'm walking in this water cooling off my feet this spot been here a few times i'm gonna go too much further down the ammonites start to thin out my trip is coming down this way and you know what probably walk that way huge gravel bar oh wow we've been cleared off huh wow what we got over here i don't see a fence or any signs saying keep out a little purple paint or a tree i'm gonna oh here's these steps wow this is all changed because they have done something here making the water change a little i guess i don't know seems uh really different this is cool see how this has washed out of all this mud weird yeah nothing up here and all this has changed i thought those steps were further down wow all this has changed so much oh the sun is baking on me we've had triple heat ditches now since june it's middle of july not good i'm gonna try to find a couple more and get out of here we'll go hit up this gravel bar we'll turn back around oh pretty deep water let's get some footprints it's a cattle all right here we are at the next spot so probably just some gravel small stuff here we go here's some bigger gravel heading back to the kayak by halfway i didn't come down this little area and i noticed this we got a fresh water moisture huge shell awesome nice metallic color love that so pretty come down here real quick you never know i don't see much now that i'm going back i will see hopefully the things that i missed easy to miss out here it's now time to check out everything that i saved on this adventure and this here must be some type of plant life that's fossilized is my guess that's just strange we have beautiful ammonites that mud will come out really nice yep that's a nice one and remember we get
