this just seems like a fire hazard i mean we're making caramel corn popcorn but starting off with butter and then just these caramel candies which apparently is not going to all stick together and make a mess then you're just adding some popcorn kernels covering it and it just pops and makes this like perfect caramel popcorn that also looks like ooey gooey and chewy i don't believe them i feel like a lot of these videos tend to lie so we're gonna kind of test these out and see if it actually works i've got all my ingredients here and thank you so much to fetch for sponsoring today's video um i'm just gonna get started i've got the burner here i'm gonna turn that on so i'm supposed to start by just adding some butter i made sure to get the exact same caramel candies they used there's no measurements so we're just kind of guesstimating how full that pan is i'm so nervous because i feel like you're not we're good and it's going to get really hard but if this does work and it's this easy this is like an amazing hack which is half of these videos i find on blossom's channel like ideas of like how to create these things really easy really simple and most of them don't work but if it does work it's amazing and there's definitely a few of them that work but muslim don't they add in the popcorn cover it on top and it magically fully coats itself in the caramel like that's not i don't think that's gonna work i don't think you could just add a coating of popcorn on top without giving it like like a shake but they didn't shake it hard to do things not not the way that you want to do them we're doing the popcorn they did a pyrex bowl i've got this pyrex kind of flat bottom dish but it has to be pyrex i'm still a little bit worried about this glass like exploding pyrex doesn't really do that you have to be soaked i don't know if it's just like deep caramel color or if it's like burnt caramel oh that one's really coated there was enough popcorn there that this would be completely full of popcorn oh really yeah it does not look like there is that it doesn't look like there is like they're definitely it's not fully coated caramel corn like you know when they take it off it's fully coated i'm gonna take it off i'm gonna take it off i don't like this i don't like this it's gonna burn me oh it like exploded on my shirt not me so burnt it's not obviously fully coated like theirs i mean if we could just do a side-by-side comparison of what their bowl looked like in hours and i had the heat very low i kept thinking i should turn up the heat i should turn up the heat because it's taking so long to pop i'm like nope because i don't want it to burn if i can find a piece that's not burnt i will taste it it was so hot why would you put it in your mouth that's not the problem ugh the caramel is so thick that the popcorn i put in my mouth just dissolved it almost went back to this like hard candy stage both like dissolved pieces of popcorn in it like that is not the right caramel that is a really big fail it didn't it doesn't look like it ruined the pan though so this one is definitely a fail and let's clean up and move on to the next one this one just kind of feels like why like i get if you want to make brownies using a microwave in case you don't have an oven but like why the paper bag instead of a dish is it going to work perfectly as this is so you don't have any dishes to clean up like or if you don't have any dishes i just i'm curious to see if we try this and we try the brownie mix poured into the paper bag with walnuts but we also try it in a dish to see if it has like a different texture got the paper bag but now i've got to try to like drop it in without making a mess all over this paper bag i'm going to try to drop it because i don't want there to be crusted brownie all over the sides of this this is the most backwards brownies i have ever made but i just use like a boxed brownie mix because i feel like if you're the person who's gonna bake brownies in a bag probably gonna use a box brownie mix it's like hey man you want some big brownies i microwaved them myself okay take a peek do we think that's enough brownie mix okay and then bake for 10 minutes a few minutes later oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god smoky hi internet let me open the door wait quick thumbnail oh my god look down like the barrel of that like i just all i can see is smoke i know let's go let's go okay i mean technically it looks like theirs but like the outside is actually like brownie like yeah ah it stinks in here oh my god i feel like my voice has changed from breathing in all of that smoke it was only in there like three minutes four minutes like four minutes maybe like it said ten minutes we only had it in there for like four minutes and it was just like smoke like you could hear it like my like i sound sick but i said i would try it in the dish i'm gonna try it because i've done lots of mug cakes and you can actually cook cake and brownies in the microwave like i've done apple crisp in the microwave i've done everything in the microwave okay it looks a little raw and a little cooked after two minutes i don't want to do any more because i know that the center part is definitely cooked it just has a little bit of like raw batter there which would be safe to eat because it's been cooked long enough so i'm gonna let this cool and we're gonna move on to the next one and come back once it's cool i know that considering what we just went through you know emotionally and physically in this video it's hard to say that i think the next one actually might work but of all of the ones that we're doing today i'm actually most hopeful for this one so they took like an ice cube tray which isn't exactly this one but it'll work and we have another one that we used too and just took these like skewers put them in it froze little ice cubes and then dipped it and melted chocolate and i think the theory is that the coldness of the ice cube like it the chocolate cling slice cube but then the coldness of it hardens up the chocolate really fast and you can pull the ice cube off of it and then fill it like brownies if they're okay and chop and like ice cream the thing is is chocolate is very finicky and it hates water so i don't know how it's going to do with like a cold ice cube directly on the chocolate and luckily i planned ahead last night and i have our frozen ice cubes so we didn't have the square ice cubes but we do have just like the regular ice cubes that we have this person and we have this heart mold from the last video the the skewers wouldn't stay standing upright so kevin took these clips so smart except it's frozen in it look at that it came off easily so we're just supposed to dip and make sure it's kind of covered the sides oh it is hardening i can see it hardening quite quickly so i guess i'm just supposed to wait until it releases the ice cube from the chocolate like i can't pull up right now i can okay why don't we do the other ones and then i'll come back because i don't want these to like melt too much i'm gonna do a couple of these but if this works these are like super cute quick little like quick little dessert cups okay no it's not quite ready i feel like it i feel like there's a little bit of movement let me do these and i'll circle back kind of why we're doing so many oh wait it like wants to release i can see the air coming outside but there's like water inside what do you do with the melted water inside okay got it and pulled up yes oh my god okay so the other two were such like hard fails but how cute are these like even if it oxidizes these are so cool i just don't know how you get the water out of the inside does that work yes that's so worked i mean there's still water in there but at least it's not a pool of water okay that worked that 100 works look at that little chocolate cup let's see if these brownies work definitely melted chocolate but the brownie part of it it does look baked so i feel like brownie and the microwave worked which i figured it would look i'm just gonna cut like a cute little piece of brownie oh these might be too hot for the chocolate [Music] hold on i need like i need a little plate give me a sec the last brownie was too hot so it just kind of melted the chocolate bowl around it so this one i put in the fridge to cool and i grabbed some whipped cream how cute is that this hack 100 worked i feel like it's so easy if people don't have a lot of stuff and they want to make like a fancy dessert not that like my whipped cream looks the fanciest right now but i think they look pretty cute that chocolate shell is so yummy one for the win let's move on to the next one before i move on to the next this one just seems so stupid you're supposed to take mayo and just add cake mix in and then mix it together and it bakes a cake and like they even did it just like in the mayo jar for like no reason at all just like oh look i'm making a whole cake mix in a mayo jar well who would want to eat mayonnaise cake like think about it for a second like is it just because mayonnaise is typically made with eggs so therefore that helps with the structure of a cake but of all the things that you could do in a pinch i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be like oh i've got mayo in a box cake mix let me just like add these two together it'll be great but nonetheless we're gonna see what like are we gonna end up with a baked cake at the end and also is it gonna taste disgusting and for this one i vote kevin is the taste tester nope is all of that cake batter supposed to fit into that jar no it didn't say the amount so it looks like in the video it's filled up about like halfway with mayo and then the other half with the cake batter until it kind of gets curvy part at the top that looks like a similar amount and now i'm just supposed to stick and just stick my mixer in the mayonnaise jar making a beautiful sound there too okay i would just like to establish a few things one this is gross two when they poured theirs into the cake pan it's liquid it looks like liquid cake batter that is not liquid um it says bake doesn't say what temperature or for how long it just says bake two ingredient cake oh god oh my god look at look at it it's like bubbling okay that was in for like 25 minutes and it's like done i feel like it kind of looks like a brownie like a really gross brownie i'm gonna let it cool for like ten minutes and then we're going to take it out and see what it's like okay it's cool it's definitely cool enough so definitely looks very not cooked it was in a very long like it was in enough time that it would have cooked it just the mayo just didn't seem to work the outside looks a little hooked but like you can see that it's just mush nope ugh it's like sour ooh it's super gross like there's so many other things you can do to make a two ingredient cake then bake it with mayonnaise the last one is like how to release a cake from its cake pan now in this one they just sort of like you tipping upside down and ripping the cake apart obviously that didn't work and it just says if you put your cake pan in some boiling water the steam will release the cake from the cake pan i always line my pans of parchment paper i buy these little circles or i cut them out myself i line them with that and then just run my spatula along the side i've never had the issue where it sticks the bomb the cake pan ever with that being said i've seen it on cake competition shows almost every episode where they're like oh no and they forget that they didn't line their cake pan with parchment paper and their whole cake rips apart so i know that this happens and i'm curious to see if this would be like a fix if you realize before you take it out or if you go to take out if it's just sticking like will it help you release it because if i tip it upside down right now it's stuck like that cake it's stuck there's no way that's coming out so i've now created the problem let's see if this will be a good solution it's supposed to be right in the water yeah i just don't understand this one because it says steam releases it but how is the steam getting through is it just like you could heat the pan up and it'll be cool i think it has nothing to steam i think has to do with like the hot water making the cake hot again and releasing like the sugars it also doesn't say how long like am i supposed to stay in here for one minute 10 minutes we'll give it a couple we'll give it a couple more minutes to see been like 10-15 minutes a lot of waiting around this video still kind of hot to touch the moment [Laughter] yeah i was really hoping that this one was gonna work and was
