TEACHER SECRET SANTA | A Few of My Favorite Things!

hello there and welcome back to my channel for those of you that don't know me my name is Michelle Perret and I am a fourth grade teacher in Maryland it is December which means it is time to bake cookies wear my favorite sweatshirt and Exchange Secret Santa gifts I have teamed up with several other teacher youtubers to do a Secret Santa gift exchange we each got assigned someone else from the group we ship them a Secret Santa gift and mine arrived a few days ago so I'm gonna go ahead and do an unboxing and show you all what I got [Music] alright okay they use some really thick tape here I work out I swear oh my goodness okay whoever it is they have some really good taping skills okay one side I think that's good enough all right we're in nope no we're not okay now we're in so here's what is on the inside you probably can't see what it says but it says gif number one handmade card is on top so this is broken down into five different gifts gift one is like a card or a poem or a song dedication y'all they know me already look how adorable is and this is like handmade I know because my mom has been a demonstrator for stamping off which is like a card-making company business thing and I happen to know what homemade cards look like and this is definitely homemade so this is awesome ah very cute I'm gonna read it to you the positive teacher of youtuber I'm sorry of youtube I'm messing up already tuna tune of The Fresh Prince of bel-air okay this is adorable alright um now this is a story all about how a teacher started filming her day and I'd like to take a minute just sit right here and I'll tell you how she became a teacher of YouTube police like right over there on the stairs laughing at me with minds to teach and children to inspire the classroom is where she spent most of her days chillin out great ninh teaching all cool and drinking some Chunkin right before school when a couple of things she wanted to share started making videos in her classroom she made one little channel and the rest is history she says don't forget to put your positive pants on that was adorable I know I probably butchered it and that's my bad but thank you that was super cool so let's go ahead and I already see office references okay so this is what it looks like now that I've taken the tissue paper out we've got Jim Halpert from the office right here this is gift number two laminated I might add nice touch okay I see Reese's just from that that right there tells me that's Reese's because it's green and it is orange and they must be the Reese's trees cuz those come out this time of year and they are so much better than the normal Reese's because they have a lot more peanut butter in that yeah okay so we have Reese's trees now I think if number two was like a snack from a country that you visited so America don't even there right yeah okay okay I started to panic because I looked in and I saw another number two so that was part one of gift too and then here is part two it feels like cookies it definitely feels like cookies feels like Girl Scout cookies like a package nope I think it's Oreos oh they're the mint Oreos which are my favorite I love mint flavored things like mint chocolate chip ice cream mint Oreos whoever it is so far they're killing it wait there's a part three of gift to okay I don't know with this on this goldfish goldfish I think goldfish it sounds like goldfish all right it is goldfish but they have like a holiday I didn't even know they made these so when they are like holiday shapes so they have the traditional goldfish shape and they have trees and they have stockings and there's a little fish on here with the little Rudolph nose that is adorable so I am set on snacks to help me make it until winter break now we are on to gift number three which I'm guessing is this one nope that's a 503 found that it was buried okay so this says podcast recommendations but then there's a Dunkin oh that was sweet it says here's a little treat while you listen to your podcast they know the weight of my heart okay so with Dunkin Donuts gift cards super super cute so it says teaching podcast that teach great motivate podcast which I have listened to a little bit and the office ladies podcast which I have been listening to anytime I'm in the car Billy's not a huge fan he loves the office but he doesn't really like the podcast because they kind of go on tangents but I have been adoring it so those of you that are not familiar with office lady's podcast it is jenna fischer who plays pam beesley on the office and Angela Kinsey Kinsey is that correct okay and she plays Angela on the office and they are going through every single episode of the office and they're breaking it down they're giving you a little fax and kind of behind the scenes stories and I just I love it I love hearing like behind the scenes things so this is awesome I love that whoever it is included a QR code yay now we are on to gift for so this one has Michael Scott as prison Mike on the front a prison Mike and I think to gift for was something from your classroom either new or used so I'm thinking it's some kind of school supply oh yes okay so these are papermate Flair pens which are my favorite pens but whoever it is knows me really well because they are these solid black ones which are my favorite I don't use them to grade but for all of my like writing or anything that I personally doing I love the black ones and typically in a multipack you only get like one black one and for me it runs out super fast so this is much appreciated we are now onto gift five which this is a two-parter so this is part one it feels like a candle because it's got some weight to it and I can kind of feel a lid oh it's a Yankee Candle hey see I don't have any easy Gamble's oh it is the clean cotton scent I really love just clean kind of fresh scents I don't really like floral scents or like citrusy signs so this is perfect I love to light candles like this in my room because it gives it just that super fresh and clean scent so this will be used very soon thank you part two a gift five this is Dwight Schrute from the office that's correct I love this little touch like I just think it's so cute this feels like books because they're kind of flexible and bendy making progress oh they're books I can see pages oh the I survived series I only have a couple of these from my classroom library so this is great so there is I survived the Hindenburg disaster 1937 and I survived the Great molasses flood 1919 so super excited to add these my classroom library and I know my students will really enjoy them as well so we're down to the final envelope this is the reveal of who my Secret Santa was and it says Who am I open me last I'm trying to debate whether or not I want to guess because part of me hates being wrong so I don't want to guess and not be right but I'm gonna go out on a limb okay I'm going to guess Charlotte from apples and Tiaras okay can I get a drumroll [Music] okay so we have cars just says hello oh I was wrong no it was Jennifer from genuine teaching started so close okay hey Michelle I had so much fun
