SURPRISE MAP and More Coming Early 2024 for Ark: Survival Ascended

Wildcard just gave us a New Year's gift.  Well calling it a gift is a stretch but   they did release their developer road map for  Ark Survival Ascended for the first quarter of   20124 and there's a couple things in it that you  may have been looking forward to. Please keep in   mind that Wildcard is not known for making their  deadlines. Like, not at all. With that in mind let's   take a look at what they had to say. They start  out with a little intro. There's about to be a   new calendar on the wall and we filled it with  content for a dInomite 2024. Before we step away   for the New Year celebrations and a quick recharge  we'd like to share our first quarter schedule for   the coming year. Okay, their plan for January  is to have full server transfers on official   servers across all platforms. Once enabled players  will be able to download items and creatures onto   the map without restriction. This is good news for  all these servers, which is probably almost all   of them, that are just jam-packed and overcrowded. We'll finally be able to upload characters   and Dinos and whatever else into the obelisks and  download them onto a different different map so we   can spread out our populations a little bit and  travel around. That's really good news. Not going   to say I'm confident that they'll release it in  January but that's something I believe they've   been working on so I'm cautiously optimistic I  guess. In February they have a surprise for us.  They say we have a new addition to the schedule.  The launch of the remastered Center map along   with an early debut from the community voted  caregiver dinosaur the gigantoraptor. I'm less   confident about their hitting that February date  on that one. They might, I don't know. But just with   their track record I wouldn't look for maps to  come out on the schedule that they are really   promising. Their goal for March is the launch of  The Scorched Earth DLC and the Frontier Adventure   Pack which will have players strut the sands in  western style. I'm not personally looking forward   to the adventure packs. Have to wait and see  on those. Not at all confident that the DLC for   Scorched Earth will hit in March. I would not  be the least bit surprised if that was delayed   a month or two. Especially with them releasing the  Center now because anybody who's been playing Ark for   a while knows that when they do a big release  like that a lot of things get screwed up in the   rest of the code that they've got to go  through and fix and correct and that'll just delay   everything else down the line. And they close out  by saying in early 2024 full cross platform Premium   Mods also debut via our partners at Overwolf.
