supernote this is the A6 X2 it's become the new flow champion and I'm going to compare it to the remarkable end well that is going to be a very subjective comparison two of the most I think currently the most sub subjectively attractive devices both are really trying to put on your heartstrings and win your purchase they've got both got beautifully designed exterior beautifully designed and built device which they aim to let you have that device and make that device last for you for many years is so if you're buying into the in in tablet World perhaps you're buying into the idea of flow and a distraction free experience well the remarkable and the supernote they are going to be quite compelling to you so let's look at the remarkable versus the supernote one thing that remarkable does do really well is wake up pretty quickly it also has excellent battery life I haven't gone into depth testing the battery life as well but judging by Jeffrey Moss's excellent video it looks like it's going to be sort of average battery life so not bad and not amazing let's have a little look I'm currently using the remarkable quite regularly at the minute and it just lives here on my desk and what I do is I make any kind of to-do list that I do as well so let's have a look at the handwriting response it is still excellent they remarkable by the way the writing feel on it you're like oh straight home but I think now this is faster what we call latency I think that now the supernote is faster and the writing feel is excellent and I stand by something I said way back when I first reviewed the set of supernotes the first X devices that this is more like a pen feel and this is more like a pencil feel I would say they're more looking at felt pens I'm not someone who ever likes to write with felt pens or like to write with pencils however the drawing with the pencil is amazing I mean this is something that I absolutely love now whether it's better to draw here on the remarkable is something for a longer form of video but now they've got the atellier app on here then finally the supernote is going to give the remarkable a run for his money whenever I've done comparisons of drawing I've always said ah superno don't even go there for drawing and that's because pen feel for drawing and The Limited pen tools they had really wasn't that great but now we've got a really great really great app for drawing here as well now this is an important comparison I think which is handwriting recognition and not just let's make a whole new note for this on here and WR in a normal ballpoint now now it's not how accurate it is because they should be the same accuracies CU they have the same software that is doing in the background this nebu my script thing but it's really about how they do it so now I go export convert to text it pops it on a new page it's got it just fine right whereas what this does is it's doing it in the background or it's not doing in the background cuz I'm in an ordinary note so my apologies I'm going to have to go back to a handwriting recognition one I'll just show you one that I've already done here it's always doing the handwriting recognition as long as you're in a handwriting recognition note in the background so it exists almost like two documents there you see to get that one the first time you got two documents almost like on top and beneath one another on the supernote you got your handwritten document which is always there and then I can say right it thought that said honey so it doesn't say honey it says slower so now I'm going to delete [Music] that and right slower a bit more slower and more carefully and now it has got it now I think that's better because if this gets it wrong I have to go back to the next one back to the previous page something seem to want to do that time and then I have to rub out the thing and I need to then go ahead and change it or of course I can click on it with the text function and now I can edit the text in there of course you've also got here though what's got up in sleeve is the keyboard case which is of course fantastic also I was hoping to do a bit of a side by side type response but earlier on I was struggling to once again get the keyron to actually sync with the a6x to so I will have that in a full video because it does work but you can see this is actually really quite rapid and that's good that gives me confidence that's a really good experience of typing is not that rapid here on the supernote so I think if you're someone who needs type I don't think the supernote platform is is there for you yet I think it's for someone who likes to carry the book around and do the handwriting and then it's really good the way you just change little bits and then you can export now can export the whole thing or some of it can export each page as text or docx I can save that to my export folder and then it will be in the cloud for me to look at wherever I want from whatever document it will export as docx or a text as you can see I can then edit that live copy and then when I sync they will sync together if there's any clashes I'll get that conflict thing it is the most subjective comparison of all because these two devices are the too that you're just like I want that you know I I want that device that's a beautifully made device these are the ones yeah books devices are attractive absolutely the the Kindle scribe is attractive but these are the ones where you're just like yeah that's a device for me that's the one I want you know I'm going to take out of this little case of course and I think that the how slim this new one is you know it's that's great I mean it's not much thicker than the remarkable and the remarkable once you got it in this keyboard case as well is quite thick really and importantly although it is thicker than the remarkable remarkable wouldn't be giving up there they have a new device out if they had to lose their world's finished tablet moniker because it's got this Crystal case on the back it it kind of you know you catch yourself looking at thinking it's really super thin and it feels nice and thin it feels thinner than the other device the previous device the previous a6x you know it's just got something about it and this yeah this is a nice finish but wow that is some finish isn't it I mean that is yeah that's the real deal and this whole new thing of being able to take the back off and where they put the magnets as well the only device to have a magnetic case which doesn't interrupt the handwriting at all so you can write right up to the edge because it's for those who write isn't it it's for those who love to write not just need to write those who love to write for most devices there are patches on the device where there is little pencil okay do on this page then can you see the wobbles I'm not in the case but I put it in the case for most devices especially when you had to patch in a keyboard and extra magnets for that Etc you can't possibly have a kind of wobble free yeah look at [Music] it yeah okay you're going to have to have a large chin and uh you know forehead because of that but my word I'll take that to be able to write neatly in every single part I think it's not even just at the edges now in the remarkable is it it used to be just kind of around the edges but now we got that keyboard look it's not even it's not even being in the case that's the issue it's just where the magnets are to attach it into the case so yeah kudos to supernote they've done a fabulous job with this any more questions about these this comparison let me know yeah so there's a Windows app but not a Mac app just at this point is up right and again you wouldn't need that so much if you just use the Google The Google Drive cloud or whichever
