the lord for he is good for his mercies enjoy it forever would you stand to your feet in the house of the lord today as we worship we honor god and give praise to his name god is indeed worthy of our praises and as we come today we just bless his name we just worship him and give him praise amen as the music plays lightly in the background let us just reflect on the goodness of god and what he has done for us that indeed he is god and there is none like him in all the earth indeed in our lives we are challenged with all of the things that are going on around us but we must always look to god in faith to god in hope look to god for it is in him that we find our help amen and so this is the day that the lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it has god been good to you amen this is certainly the day lift your voice and sing we will rejoice and be glad in it this is the day that the lord has made amen [Music] [Music] this is [Music] we will rejoice [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] when we think of the goodness of god and what he has done for us and he continues to do let us just give him the highest praise and shout hallelujah when we think of the goodness of god [Music] hallelujah hallelujah we serve a miracle working god man and so we continue to give praise to our sovereign god so we let the praises rise you lift your voice this morning and you give honor when we send the praises up the blessings they flow [Music] let praise his rise from the inside from the inside of you may you delight from the inside from the inside of me set me on fire from the inside from foreign [Music] hallelujah and we can continue to sing praise to the most high because no matter the season we won't be overwhelmed we serve a god who sits on the throne he's all powerful he's all-knowing and he continues to act on our behalf so let us not lose focus but continue to serve him in our truth let our faith take us through as we continue to look to him god i look to you i won't be overwhelmed give me vision to see things like you do god i look to you you're where my help comes from give me wisdom you know just what to do god i love you i won't be overwhelmed [Music] give me we look to you you are where our help comes from the psalmist said together i will lift up i will lift my eyes onto the hills for whence commit my help my help comes from the lord the maker of heaven and earth he will not suffer thy foot to be moved he that keepeth thee will not slumber let me hear you he that keepeth israel shall neither slumber nor sleep the lord the lord is thy keeper the lord is thy shared upon thy right hand the son shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night the lord shall preserve thee from all evil he shall preserve your soul he will preserve your going out and you're coming in from this time forth and even forevermore amen would you bow in the presence of the lord hallelujah god you saw us in our mother's womb you knew everything about us you knew our parents and the circumstances of our homes where we would have grown up you knew our schools that we would have attended and the neighborhoods in which we would live and you gave us the ability to survive and walk with you through good times and the bad times you gave us survival techniques and guardian angels to keep and protect us you chose us before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before you in love on days when we cried you cried with us on days when we laughed you laughed with us [Music] you were grieved when we were treated unfairly and misunderstood you watched you waited and you looked forward to the day when we would reach out to you in faith as lord and savior of our lives for your word declares as many as have received you to them you would give power to become the sons of god in longing you look for fellowship with us desiring for us to know you more and more in our intimate deep paths we thank you that you have given us the peace of god which keeps us in the circumstances of life we thank you that all of the regrets and problems and challenges of our past you have turned it into thanksgiving and prayers through you we can experience wholeness completeness and forgiveness like no one else can would you sit wherever you are and in the quietness of this moment would you lift up your prayers to the lord be seated please [Music] thy name thy kingdom come that will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom the power and the glory forever and ever amen the 100th division of the psalm says make a joyful noise unto the lord all ye lands serve the lord with gladness and come before his presence with singing know ye that the lord he is it is he that hath made us and not we ourselves we are his people and the sheep of his pasture enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name for the lord is good his mercy is everlasting and his truth and joy to all generations amen let us pray would you bow father today we come in the name of your son the lord jesus christ and with the help of the holy spirit and by your grace we join with the heavenly host in making a joyful noise to you and serving you with gladness we come before your presence with singing lord we know that you are god it is you who have made us and not we ourselves we are your people and the sheep of your pasture father we enter into your gates with thanksgiving and we present an offering of thanks we enter into your courts with praise and we are thankful and delighted so to do we bless and affectionately praise your loving name for you are good and your mercies are everlasting and your loving kindness enjoys forever your faithfulness passes on to all generations it is a good and delightful thing to give thanks unto you and so god in thanksgiving we say hallowed be your name by the power of your holy spirit we pray god that you will perfect the foods of our lips so that as we draw our thanks giving forth from our innermost resources that will reach down into the more secret places of our hearts and offer to you a more significant shout of praise thank you for those who have through the power of your holy spirit enabled us to their encouragement and their prayers and their support to become the people you designed us to be thank you for preparing our inner hearts to listen to the voice of your holy spirit we thank you for your grace which is teaching us even in these seasons to trust your voice to listen to your voice and to trust you because as your sheep we need to know your voice we thank you for giving us the desire to pray in seasons when we are not willing to do so and our flesh is weak and we are not able we thank you god for the opportunity to close our doors and to feel the warmth of your embrace in our closets as we pray to you we thank you for understanding us when no one else will and loving us when others choose not to we thank you for making our lives a reflection of your son the lord jesus christ we give you thanks god and we are grateful for the season in which we live though we are tossed on every side we are mindful that your word says you are always with us and thank you for the past and thank you for the present thank you for the future and help us god to recognize and understand that in our strengths and in our weaknesses you are there and more so god to discern our limitations and our weaknesses fight in those seasons that we learn truly to trust your grace it is in those seasons that we learn the most that there is a father in heaven who loves us more than we can ever understand we thank you that you are our father and we are your children we are loved by you unconditionally we rejoice in your love and we give you thanks thank you for making us overcomers by your blood we give you praise in jesus name amen a wonderful savior is jesus my lord a wonderful savior to me he hided my soul in the cleft of the rock where and i want us to read this portion together with affirmation and strength and passion you got to open our mouths and give god praise amen let your soul speak amen let us read whoever whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high will arrest in the shadow of the almighty i will say of the lord he is my refuge and my fortress my god in whom i trust surely he will save you from the foul snare and from the deadly pestilence he will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge his faithfulness will be a shield and vampire you will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness nor the plague that destroys at midday a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it will not come near you you will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked if you say the lord is my refuge and you make the most high your dwelling no harm will overtake you no disaster will hallelujah praise god father thank you for these gifts the givers of these gifts thank you for the faithfulness of your people to ensure that the gospel of the kingdom is preaching the four corners of the world to make a difference in the lives of men and women through the spoken word the acts and the deeds of compassion and the establishment of your ministry so that you would be exalted in the nations and men and women would know there is a god all glory and honor power dominion majesty and might are yours who sits upon the throne both now and forevermore amen you may be seated hallelujah i just feel good today i don't know about you but i feel good you know whenever i come into the house of the lord i don't know when it's going to be my last and as i always tell you the early christians when they were saying bye bye they really meant bye-bye because they were haunted and hounded and persecuted and they didn't know if they would live to see another day so when they left like this they didn't take it for granted they were coming back it might have been their last time and so whenever i come to the house of god i get excited because i don't know if it's going to be my last time and so i want you to know that amen tell somebody to hold your mule don't let him stop you don't let them stop you there was an old man shirley caesar tells in a song that she sang and she said that this old man he he trusted jesus and joined the little old country church and he was so excited about god he would shout hallelujah and those pharisees got tired of him and told him listen sir you're making too much noise in our church so he stopped going to church and he went back to his farm and resided there and somebody missed him and went out to visit him and he told him the story and while in the farm he said you hold my mule let me give god some praise god has been too good to us for us not to worship him amen amen i don't i don't care what your circumstances are i don't care what you're going through god is not good because of what he does god is good because of who he is and you know when people misunderstand you you know when people say you're selfish and you know that you are kind it bothers you because you said they really don't know me for if they knew me they wouldn't say what they said they won't do what they did well god is grieved when we don't know him he's good not for what he does he's good for who he is [Music] in every season of life you worship the lord you worship the lord amen hallelujah amen god is good amen amen are you weary are you heavy-hearted friends go tell it to jesus he is a friend that's well known you have no other such a friend or brother tell it to jesus turn it to jesus cry before the altar let your tears be gathered as a vial of praise before the lord tell it to jesus tell it to jesus saloon amen hallelujah no matter what is going on tell it to jesus yes sir hallelujah praise god there are so many who are sick and going through so many things and so much disruption and the enemy is trying to put us against one another you need to focus you know this is not about vaccina no vaccine this is not about master no mask this is a trick of the enemy to divide us okay amen listen to me here and i'm not talking about our country because the world is divided as it is it is dividing the worship and the work of god churches are divided split down the united states over politics about vaccine and mass and democrats and republicans watch the enemy this is about the vision of the gospel for a house divided against itself cannot stand when we are focusing on vaccine and mass we are not going to be focusing on the gospel [Music] and if there is ever a time when people want to hear the gospel it's not it's no it is now [Music] and we are trifling with trivial things and leaving the big important matters [Music] sister peter do you come here offer what i pray for those who are sick today are in their homes the hospital their bodies in kobe do not just offer prayer for those who are sick today in the name of jesus almighty god your old friend you are our brother we thank you lord that we can count on you you are the same god yesterday today and forever we thank you god that you know our frame you know everything about us we thank you also that you are our healing jesus and jesus we come to tell it to you we tell it to you because we know that you are able we know you as the one who touch us god you have demonstrated yourself in such a way to us there are many of us who are ill at this time some of us it overtook us because we didn't even think we went for an investigation and with the diagnosis things just spread along rapidly before we knew it we were wearing a label a diagnosis from a doctor but we know you that there's no net label that surprises you so god for those who are recently diagnosed with an illness we place them before you in a special way because god some of us have been there we know god that it is more than this illness because it disrupts our life's pattern so many things we would have liked to have done had we been given notice but god you speak to us in so many ways you have encouraged us day after day to look to you to seek you first to order our steps and god when we walk faithfully there is nothing that can disrupt the plans because we'll know that everything is working for all good because we love you god we pray for those who are in the hospitals those who are in their homes and even those who are in the congregation or listening to social media god there are some persons who are pushing against the pain and the discomfort god we do not take pain lightly because it does alert us that something isn't right so god we thank you for the pain because there are others who it is after they have gone and there's an autopsy that we know what was their issue so god in spite of the pain we thank you we thank you lord that it also causes us to have a closer relationship with you god sometimes we do not understand it it could be that you've boasted about us it could be that you've said to the enemy you can touch this body but this child of mine will remain resolute so god help us to be faithful help us god to be strengthened inwardly help us god to seek the things that matter and god we thank you for those who even at this time are troubled mentally because god we do have challenges outside of our physical body when our minds can't even but we thank you god that whatever the illness is you are able to heal you are able to deliver you are able to restore we thank you god that we can come to you in faith we thank you god that it is not left up to us to judge because god sometimes when we intercede on others behalf we insist that they put their faith in but god remembered jesus when the friends brought the paralytic to you you saw their faith and you responded he was forgiven of his sins and he was healed so god help us not to pray amidst we recognize god that there is also a faith that he left we remember the woman with the issue of blood it was her faith god that caused her even when others were saying things about her god she pushed through even as an outcast she pushed through all she wanted to do was to touch the hem of your garment and you rewarded her faith so god it is with faith that we come to you today we recognize that there are many persons who are down with kovid god they are little children they are older persons they are persons who live alone they are persons who do not have help they are all kinds we recognize that kovid has no respect for strata every single person can be affected we place them before in a special way god and we ask for your touch we ask you holy spirit to minister in these moments when all they can do is cry out in these moments of isolation god we're not accustomed to it we're accustomed to having persons around us when we are ill to do everything for us but this illness says put the ill one a distance apart but we thank you god that with you there is no distance with you there is no distance god ministered to those persons even now and god we recognize that other illnesses persons are still being diagnosed but you are our healing jesus so today god we want to thank you because even as we look at those god we see where you have manifested yourself we have seen persons who are given days hours to live some of us have been at that bedside when the doctor said call all the relatives and come and our loved one is living today it had to be you we believe your report so god in the midst of all the reports in the midst of all the call to come to our bedside in the midst of all the calls to to to contact your loved one we look to you because we know you've done it before you can do it again god for those who are disabled for those because of illness they are in a wheelchair they are confined to a bid we thank you for having shown us before that you can do it god we see where surgeons have done things another one has done a review something went wrong and they have to do it all over again but god you came through there are so many persons god when we see the requirement and we we put the dollar sign beside it we call ourselves dead because we cannot afford it we do not know who will you have opened so many doors god money cannot stop you god so god for those who are adding stress to their situation because they have been presented with a proposal that has a dollar sign we thank you god you are a waymaker you have done it over and over and over again so today god we just give you glory we pray god for those who will rise up because they will not die they will stand and declare the works of the lord i mean minister to those who you are going to touch beyond their physical frame that those who cry out to you for touching the physical you will heal their souls we just give you glory you are our friend we are telling it to you knowing that you have already answered we say thanks in jesus name amen thank you very much amen could somebody give god praise amen amen brother tali come and minister to us in song and we'll share from god's word good morning lord help me live from day to day [Music] in such a self [Music] forgetful way that even when i need to pray my prayer will be for all [Music] [Music] help me to live for others that i may live like yeah help me know the works i do [Music] to ever be sincere and true and doing all i do for you must still be done to all others lord disorders let this my motto be [Music] help me to live for others that i may live like and when my work on earth is done and when you work in heaven begone may i forget the crown of one [Music] lord yes others help me to live for others that i may live like thee live for others that i may live like [Music] [Applause] [Music] amen thank you very much brother tully praise god if you have your bibles we want to share with you from god's word if you have your bibles let's see in the house of the lord amen jesus christ the living word testifies to this written word that this is the word of god amen how many of you are fully aware that you are complex nobody truly understands you and i suggest that not even you understand yourself and if god wasn't who he is i would say sometimes that god probably don't understand some of us either because god is god he truly understands because he made us but sometimes we are reduced down to different things in our lives where we juice down merely to a body you hear people say all the time um when are they done you reduce yourself down to a body so it doesn't really make any difference i can do whatever i want and when this body uh basically stops working when this engine stops working that's the end reduce ourselves down sometimes just to how we feel our emotions i feel like this i feel like that i feel like trash i feel and all the words that we use to describe ourselves sometimes when we are emotionally hurt and burdened and sometimes we live our entire life being labeled and reduced down to an emotion i feel like i'm everybody's full i feel like i'm everybody's horse i feel like anybody know what i'm talking about and so you feel that way you reduce yourself down to that and uh some people reduce us down to all beliefs as as people of faith sometimes you are reduced down merely to church going um christian shouting people and that's about it um they don't think anything else of you uh they only ask you a question if it has something to do with the scriptures but they really sometimes think that as a as a person of faith you really don't know anything about anything else you don't know anything about accounting um climate change you don't know anything about economics you don't know nothing they just think that all you know is to go to church and clap your hands anybody know what i'm talking about all right but we are complex people and i want us to understand that in these complex times we even appear to be a little bit more complex because it is challenging for us and in these challenges we we tend not to be able to understand ourselves very well but i want to suggest to us from god's word today three things that i hope through the wisdom of the wise men solomon that we can begin to appreciate how we can put so much wisdom through his writings we are aware of the books that he wrote including ecclesiastes and proverbs but i'm going to draw your attention to three uh things from the book of proverbs today that should help us to appreciate what he wants us to gain wisdom in during these times and so when we think of the complexity of of humanity and the necessity of us ordering our lives with wisdom solomon has this to say to us in proverbs chapter number 18 he says in proverbs chapter number 18 a man's spirit sustains him in sickness but a crushed spirit who can bear a man's spirit proverbs 18 verse number 14 sustains him in sickness but a crushed spirit who can be the human spirit he says can endure in sickness but a crush is spirit who can bear when we see the word spirit in the word of god especially starting in the book of genesis it is the word for wind it says the spirit of the lord it is the word wind the force the power the energy it says in genesis moved upon the waters and when we are talking about the human spirit we are talking about the emotional energy of passion that allows us to live and to take on life we say often of people they have a spirit to live and we look at other people and we say they don't have the spirit to live now solomon says this to us that the spirit is important and and and extremely uh powerful in our desire to live or not to live and i want us to appreciate this because what he's saying to us here in proverbs chapter 18 and verse 14 a man spirit sustains him in sickness but a crushed spirit who can bear he's asking us to keep our spirits up because the weakest body will be carried by the strongest spirit but the strongest body cannot sustain not even the weakest spirit the reality is that the body no matter how weak it is will be carried along if your spirit is strong but if your spirit is weak no matter how strong your body is that body will never be carried along so i want us to understand that when we find ourselves in situations like we find ourselves in that we don't need to look to strengthen the body we need to look for strength in the spirit you see the reality is brothers and sisters that many individuals when they look at their circumstances around them they ask god for physical strength they ask god for renewed body they ask god for food for money for clothing but our prayer needs to be god increase my spirit deposit grace into me because that is more important than a deposit of money in the bank you see saint paul reminds us of this that in the new testament the churches that saint paul established whenever paul wrote to those people who were under great oppression from the roman government paul never wrote to them and said to them listen i pray that the roman government wouldn't kill you i pray that you will escape i pray that you would have money i pray you would have paul would pray and paul would say i pray that your spirit man would be renewed i think one of the most profound examples of this is found in ephesians chapter number three and paul was writing to the church at ephesus and ephesians chapter number three verses 14 to 20 paul makes it clear what his prayer for them is and this is the prayer that god wants each of us to say even in this season paul says for this reason because of what you are going through in your life for this reason i often bow and pray for you and this is how paul says he prays paul says this is how i pray for you you know this is a beautiful prayer and if you're going to pray for me this is the prayer i will desire i want to be able not to be listless and hopeless depressed and cast down i want my spirit to be strong that no matter what the circumstances of the day may be i will push through you see because physical strength is going to fade and pass but even as that is passing god father from whom every family in heaven and earth derives his name i pray that out of his glorious switches you may be strengthened with power to his spirit in your inner being i pray he says that in your inner being that you would be strengthened and you would be built up in faith and love and rooted and established in power that you would know the awesomeness of the god you serve that's what paul says you see oftentimes our prayers are not directed in the right way we pray for the wrong things just in passing i hear people say all the time what they're gonna do to the devil you're going to do him this and you're going to do him that and i feel sad for them because the devil is a spirit the adversary is a spirit and you can only overcome him spiritually and it is the spirit of god who directs us you see because the bible says that he appears as an angel of light the one thing that the enemy uses so well to get us is discouragement he wears you down and if you are not in the spirit you fight in your flesh and in the flesh you get tired and you give up but if your spirit man is constantly renewed you resist the devil and submit under the hand of god the bible says he has no option but to flee i hear people mutter all kind of nice sounding words and alliterations about the devil and all kind of good sounding words the devil can quote more scriptures than you it is in the spirit man that we get strength that is why i love when people have grounded themselves in the spirit and they go through the most difficult things in life and you visit them they are not depleted they are not reduced they are still praising that is the spirit man that is speaking you see the body can be destroyed the spirit can't be destroyed secondly i want us to understand this that because your spirit sustains you even in the worst circumstances no matter how freely your body is you must also understand that in times when you are laughing and you are excited in proverbs chapter number 14 and verse 13 solomon says this to us chapter 14 verse 13 even in laughter the heart may ache and rejoicing may end in grief even in laughter and psychologists tell us that if a person laughs too much even at the stupid things he's lonely inside yeah you know sometimes you're just laughing and people want to know what's wrong with you and they look at you and they say i was laughing there oh they're just pretending it is a cover for how they actually feel deep down inside they are lonely and so when solomon says in proverbs chapter number 14 even laughter in the heart may even laughter may cause the heart to ache and there is in rejoicing the end is going to be grief you say but that's not for me because whenever i laugh whenever i have a good time i am genuinely having a good time there is nothing about my laughter that suggests i am lonely i am in need i am needy i need anything i am laughing because i am really having a good time but when you look at this deeply every hebrew writer says that this is not relative this is appointed to every single person that even in laughter that there is an ache in our hearts and rejoicing ends in grief you know why every party has an end no matter how beautiful the decoration is how lovely the music is how great the company is every party has an end and when it's over you know what we ask for just give us one more song and after you've gotten that song you try to reproduce that party again and you meet and you try to plan another one because every party has an end you see what solomon is saying to us is that everything in our life will end in grief everything everything everything when you meet for your class reunion you begin looking around one by one they are being picked off one day only one of you will remain and you will look around and there will be no mary jane no john doe no pearl no harry you alone everything in life ends with a sigh everything in life ends in grief oh but i have my family and my children that too ends in grief how you long and you wish for the days when you can put them back in your arms and you can lift them up that has ended in grief at last they're not little children anymore they've moved out of your arms and then they even move out of the house then they move out of the jurisdiction and they go miles away to live and they start their own family and your heart grieves because you haven't heard from them for a while everything in life ends in grief because all the things that we would desire and we want out of life at some point will be taken away from us your health will be taken away from you if you never experience any debilitating diseases in this life old age will take its toll on you and no matter how well in health you go into old age eventually it take its toll and if you never die of any disease you will die of old age you will lose everything in this life that you think is important to you it will end in a sigh it ends in grief because you see there is a ground note of sadness that overwhelms us whether we want to believe it or not and that groundswell of sadness comes because it desires to turn our attention to assign a true meaning to the things in life that really make a difference that is why at the end of every party you feel lonely and empty that is why at the end of every relationship you feel like this is it i'm not doing this again you feel empty because it is intended that nothing in this world outside of god can fulfill the true desires of our hearts and that's what it is and so we would have to assign true meaning to something the question then is what would we assign true meaning to so that when our spirits when our bodies cannot contain itself that spirit would be strong so that when the laughter ends we know that there is true meaning on the other side he says to us finally in proverbs chapter 13 and verse 12 hope deferred makes the heart sick but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life you see that meaning that we assign to life to some we consider with hope we consider if i was ever to get that promotion on the job that would be the icing on the cake that's all that i want that one position if i can only get that if i can only get that girl that would be it if i can only get this type of marriage and family that would be it if i can only get this type of car if i can only get this degree that would be it that's my hope that's it everything would be fulfilled it would make life so much easier because we just assign meaning to that but the scripture says hope deferred makes the heart sick but what if you don't get those things that's your deferred hope because you see you had a hope that if you got the job it would make your life better alas you didn't get it it makes the heart sick you thought that if you had this relationship it would make everything perfect you got the relationship and then you realize that the person wasn't perfect and you are not perfect either and hope was deferred again and it makes the heart sick you can't live because you're just sick and tired of living you don't want to live anymore because of a deferred hope but you know what he says but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life in other words he says this to us brothers and sisters there is a longing that each person in this house and listening via this stream has there is a longing that is within your heart a longing that you cannot explain a longing that has not been fulfilled a longing that just seems to be elusive because you have been doing everything possible and you still don't feel like you have attained it as yet and every time you think that you've grasped it you've done better in life it just seems like it's gone up a little higher anybody know what i'm talking about and when that vacation is finished i read recently that they said um the millennials now are spending more money on vacations they are willing to spend over five thousand dollars or more on a vacation when that vacation is over i'm not just talking about going new york and and sitting down in you you your family's house or miami or someplace i'm talking about a proper vacation we're one of the children in the youth some said they would like to travel and go on a boat and put cucumber on their eyes and all of that i thought it was so funny they said pastor the seat on the cruise ship when they advertised and people got cucumber in their eyes they want a food fish and you have all of that and when it's over you still feel like to keep that feeling you need another one and another one and another one isn't that the choir of the addict you're trying to get the first high that you had because there is a hope that is deferred and a longing that is fulfilled is a tree of life the longing that we have is to know that there is meaning in this life and in that tree of life we go back to what the word of god says in genesis the tree of life is found in god you see he himself was hung out on a tree he bore our sins on a tree so that we can have a fulfillment of the tree of life that is what we desire that is what we need when we don't truly understand this everything that happens around us will always cause us to cave in every single thing but when you truly understand the longing of your heart and where you can find that fulfillment in the tree of life in christ jesus you would recognize that even though my outward frame is failing away my spirit man is being renewed every day you would know no matter how good this party is when this party is over this is just over i won't be grieving for any more because i'm fulfilled completely in christ you would know that you do not have to defer hope by waiting for somebody in this world to fulfill it and they are incapable of doing it because you know something in closing only your heart knows your soul he says in chapter 14 verse 10 only your heart knows your soul let me say this to us it doesn't matter my friends how many people love you let me tell you this it doesn't matter how many people promise to walk with you it doesn't matter how many people assure you they will be there it is not possible it is not possible even job's wife got tired of her husband when he could no longer send her to the mall with the credit card to buy whatever she wanted even job's wife got tired when she had to walk and they had no cars anymore even job's wife got tired when she was not able to entertain her children who were now dead even job's wife got tired when she could not have sex with her husband because he was sick even job's wife got tired and she said i've had enough i want to move on marry somebody else and start a new life that's exactly the translation the reality is after a while people will get tired if they stay long enough and your problems persist they will get tired they will get tired the calls will get less and less that's just how it works you can sit and say they are ungrateful and you did all kinds of things for them the quicker you understand that in a weak body a strong spirit a weak body has nothing over a strong spirit you will begin to live a sensible life because that's the nature it is god's doing so that in that season he can draw us closer to him because he truly knows what we need what we desire and all of it is intended to bring us to that place where he can minister to us in the way that he desires to and we need to receive of him and so it is you will walk through life on your own for nobody understands you like you understands you proverbs 14 tells us that and the only person who truly understands you is god there will come a time in your life when the only person you can really have a conversation with is god the only person who you can really be honest and deep with is god the only person who will sit in the room and say in spite of what you just said i still love you it's god the only person who will hold you when you're falling and broken and and can't go anymore and can't do nothing for nobody and can't help anybody it's god and that is why we should not defer our hope we should ensure that our hope is settled and firmly planted in god my friends everything else in this world will fail it is fleeting it's only a matter of time you may think it's unfair that it has come to you so soon it will come and the reality is when it comes we must have a hope in god my question to you today is do you have that hope in god when that moment comes do you have that hope in god oh when you can't lift your hand to put on your shirt the most simple things in life when somebody have to teach you to walk again do you have that hope we are not paying enough attention to the deep things of god we are flirting with god but we don't want to commit we are like people who have multiple numbers in our phones and we choose who we want to hang out with today the reality is god wants to hang out with us all the time and to do that he requires a relationship and i think this is a season that god is using to teach us his faithfulness to draw us closer to him if god has spoken to you this is the moment this is the time without any frills and thrill trills any noise this is the time in the deep parts of your heart god is speaking to you and god wants you to come to him let us pray would you bow your heads father i ask for wisdom that we would order our lives in the way that we should that would recognize that our spirit is so important that we would grow it so that when the grief of the world comes we'll be able to stand so when our hope is deferred we truly have a longing that is fulfilled in the tree of life so that we would totally understand that is only in our hearts that we truly know and feel what our pain our depth our soul is but yet you walk beside us thank you for this hope that we have in you we ignite our love and our passion for you those who have not made that commitment made us step out in faith and those who have may they continue to be assured that you are with us thank you for your faithfulness we look to you and we trust your hand when we cannot trust it lord we may not be able to trace it we don't know where you are going but we are going to trust you because you know the way and so we commit ourselves to you today in jesus name amen would you towards us amen thank you for joining us in the sanctuary today we have our honorable deputy prime minister and the honorable eugene hamilton minister of human settlement ethel mr valentine lindsay special adviser to the minister in the department of human settlement mrs malvi james the chairperson of the national housing cooperation ms donnelly caesar secretary of the board of directors of nhc and the general manager ms melissa edwards putin and they are here with us because the ministry in the department is celebrating 25 years this past week put our hands together and we want to thank the department for coming to fellowship and to worship with us today and for 25 years as we say government is a continuous institution of the work that they have been doing to assist our people in housing and other related areas i pray god's continued blessings upon them and i want to charge them and challenge them and encourage them to be fear to be just whenever you get appointments like these you must sit in that seat as if jesus is sitting there and ask yourself the question what is god requires of me do not use your position to upend people do all you can to assist the bible is clear when you have the opportunity to do good you must do it i want to challenge you in every sense of the word because people depend on you when you have one house to give and a hundred applications you need to pray ask god to direct you as to who you should really give this to and because you have one and a hundred somebody will not be pleased 99 people ain't gonna be pleased but if god is pleased with you then he is well pleased and that is what you must do and you will have served with a clear conscience before god and man amen may god continue to bless you in your work the minister is no stranger to us i told him already we are going to make him a baptist and take him from the moravian church but we are going to ask him to come at this time and share with us some remarks thank you pastor connor good morning church let me ask the pastor if i can adopt the protocol which he established but of course let me also acknowledge that we have with us our deputy prime minister you know sean kennedy richards he's here with his son and some other friends and so we're glad to have you and we look forward to you joining with us we went for walk yesterday and a lot of us didn't make it i know some people wondering what he means by that the truth is we said we were going to walk to the first round about and when we got on the pasture everybody turned up on the pasture on that tree and they reached around about yet but while we were there a conversation was struck up and i was told they want to make a contribution to you and they asked me to do it so that is why i'm here really to make this contribution but i must take a few minutes though to speak about the work which has been done for 25 years you see now that nhc is celebrating its jubilee year we must reflect on some of the things that have been done during those 25 years i am so lucky in fact i'm so blessed because the truth is when i was returned to office for this term a friend of mine said to me what kind of ministry damn you got he want me to have things like finance i said no public works no i got some of the best ministries the ministries that helped me to glorify god when it comes to social services poor people get from social services children school children get from social services it is what blesses god those who are less fortunate getting when it comes to universal health when that is put in place people who sick can get help when it comes to those people who end up with shelter human settlement and housing will do that and we have been doing that and so i got so many blessed ministries the ministries that help god to be glorified not because you're in the street to god did it to the least among him among us and so all of you who work in association with these ministries you're blessed you're blessed today i want to thank the new board of social security nhc but i also have social security you know that also is a blessing but i want to thank the board headed by the chairperson mrs marlby james and i would like them to stand so you can see give them a hand for the job that they're doing the board directors who are here could you stand please [Applause] right thank you so you know the people you must go to don't come to me in 25 years nhc has delivered to so many ordinary people a place they could call home a place till they head when when evening comes and we hope that through the next 25 years we'll do much more to satisfy the needs of those who really need a place to call home but we have a challenge we have a challenge in that as the gap widens so many persons who are not poor or indigent are applying to nhc for housing how do we respond to that we stretched the limit in the last couple of years and rebuilding some homes are usually described as fit for kings and queens and that is true the quality of them very good some will have a little challenge now and again but the general in general the quality is good but we have this challenge as i said and this is where my ministry this is why i say i'm glad to have this ministry our human settlement is stepping in to make sure that those who are no longer poor and indigent can also benefit from the work that the ministry of human settlement does and so i wish to advise you that in the next months or two we will launch a new project this is a private project though not a government project we will begin with 45 homes in the chaon area for middle and upper income people private sector development we will then go to tabernacle and get the same thing down there then we'll go to sandy point and then to cut to camps all those we are hoping with the will of god that will get done during this term 45 45 45 about 150 homes for middle to upper income people that will that give us an opportunity in energy to focus on the poor and the indigent last week a week or two hours ago we did some distributions at wellington road 24 families benefited you know i went to cabinet and i said to cabinet i want to charge 830 a month cabinet says too much so we ended up charging quite a smaller sum which i wouldn't tell you but it shows that we continue to provide for the poor and indigent we're looking out for those who are the smaller persons in a couple of months maybe one month or two we hope to go to stapleton and to distribute another 18 18 homes in that area and hopefully around the same time another 16 down in kanye's now i congratulate energy for that because during this last two years we've had we've had a drought because of course of the coving no new monies we are still able to deliver for some persons who need and so it is one of the reasons why i listed the board earlier to congratulate them on working to deliver for the people of saint kitts and nevis in the next few years we will continue to build and to make sure that those who are less fortunate than us get the benefits of nhc the pandemic has caused a problem for us lockdowns but it has not deterred us it has caused a problem for some of our customers who are not able to make their payments on time but we continue to endure and we are asking god to bless them and help them so that they can continue to make their payments so that those who are yet without homes can benefit from what they they pay or contribute i want to call on pastor connor to accept this check on behalf of the national housing corporation and in doing so i want to indicate that nhc and the government and people are proud of the achievement of this church we celebrate with you the 100th centennial anniversary of the past of reverend pastor khan a bishop connor he said he wanted to be a preacher a priest and they wouldn't let him be a priest but he turned out to be a bishop so bishop connor's centennial anniversary this year and so while things may be slow in terms of nac we still feel it is important to celebrate this moment with you and to make this small contribution on behalf of the people who work at nhc on behalf of the board and those who work at nhc thank you [Applause] thank you very much mr hamilton indeed we appreciate that and always good to have you with us and may god continue to bless you in the work that you are doing and as you have outlined the work that has been set forth we pray that it would be successful and we would be able to benefit from these housing stocks so that our people can be able to move forward with their lives i am happy though that you said the cabinet said it was too much before you said the cabinet said too much i was like what i was glad the cabinet said it's too much uh yeah but thank you nonetheless and we want to encourage individuals to recognize that they have responsibility and we want to you know encourage the board to think creatively as much as possible of how we can continue to assist individuals in this particular season that we are currently going through and thank you for your uh contribution to the work and may god continue to bless you amen all right let us then celebrate with those who are celebrating anniversaries and birthdays and then we'll be on our way if your birth the anniversary is today or this week i think dick and marlin's birthday is today and sister um daki's birthday and others so as we close down september and moving quickly into october we want to celebrate with those whose
