it found me in the love place i said the blood powered me in the wrong place it reaches to the highest mountain and it flows to the lowest valleys anybody in this room the blood found you in a low place jesus [Music] [Music] aren't you glad that he didn't wait for you to get yourself together before he decided to shed his blood but when i was a mess he knew the mistakes that you would make he knew the failures that you would have and he stayed on that cross just for you i need somebody to take 30 seconds who's really grateful come on if you're not grateful you can put your hands in your pockets but for those who are really grateful that he stayed on that cross for you lift those hands and just take a few seconds and thank you for staying there i said thank you for staying there he could have called angels but he spayed him [Music] come on just close your eyes 10 more seconds close your ass and thank you for the blood of jesus [Music] hallelujah and found me in the low place and found me in a low place found me in the low place found me in the locals the place where everybody else wanted to walk off and leave that's when the blood attached itself when everybody else thought it was over when everybody else was planning your funeral it didn't know that the blood was holding the blood of the blood ah i said the blood of jesus [Music] well it reaches [Music] oh [Music] all have healed you it was nothing but [Music] how precious is that flow that makes me whiter snow no other help i know nothing but the blood [Music] it regulated my life it healed my body it saved my soul [Music] hallelujah god we thank you for the shedding of your blood i know it was the blood i know it was the blood for one day when i was lost jesus died on the cross i know it was i know it was the devil can't stop me from knowing that my afflictions won't stop me from knowing but i know it was the blood [Music] for one day when i was lost jesus died on the cross and i know it was the blood save me the blood came streaming down god i wish i had some church mothers right there the blood came streaming down the block came streaming down for me one day [Music] when i was lost a man lay jesus down on the cross and i know it was the blood for me they beat him up to him i gotta get out of here they beat him up in here they beat him up the hill for me one day when i was the lost on the cross and i know it was the blood for me but baby i was a man i was a mess the only thing that cleaned me up [Music] i said the only thing that cleaned me up was the blood the blood the blood the only thing the only reason you sit next to me not judging me is because of the blood [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] if you knew if you knew the story of the person who was who was standing next to prayer is for you to experience god's love this morning god's grace in god's mercy come on why don't you clap your hands and lift him up and just begin to worship him as our praise and worship team comes amen [Music] [Music] there's so many things you've been waiting on the lord to do but it seems like it's never gonna come through but just hold on to your faith cause any day it's gonna come return [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] he will [Music] [Music] [Music] yes he will anybody has anything you believe in god to do anybody have anything you believe in god for we can't even wanted to stand on your promises to stand on your word you are not a man that you can laugh what you say what you start you are able to bring it unto completion we serve a god that can do anything but fail situations problems circumstances look dim and bleak but he can do anything but fail there is no failure in our garden so we trust them we believe in them we hope in them we depend on them we rely on him our security and our trust we are like a tree planet by the rivers aboard the water we will remain steadfast unmovable because we know he will he will it is now time for intercessory prayer god is good his presence is here and when two or three are gathered in the midst there he is so god we thank you in advance for your presence we believe your kind of glory will show up in this place lord you're good and you're kind you're great and you're merciful you are the god that is above all other gods there's no god like you and so we call you great jehovah we call you the i am that i am and whatever we need you to be you can be that you have proven yourself to us not just this week not just this month not that just this year you have proven yourself down through the years to be a friend that sticks closer than a brother you have proven to be a bridge over troubled water you have proven to be our strength our fortress and our strong tower so we take a few moments just to thank you for your goodness we take a few moments to thank you for your mercy we thank you for take we take a few moments to thank you for your new mercies that you extended to us on today you didn't have to do it but we're so glad you did we you kept us all night long you kept us from danger seen and unseen and so god we thank you and we praise you for being awesome and mighty for being a strong tower and a fortress you have been the lifter of our heads you've been our bird and bearer you've been a heavy low sheriff you've been our light in darkness you've been our chain breaker you've been a mind regulator you've been our hot fixer there's no god like you if it wasn't for you we don't know where we would be so we found that in you we live move and have every reason to be we thank you oh god that all those things are not great they could be so much worse so we thank you for every good thing we thank you for every open door we thank you for every crooked path you've made straight we thank you for every way you've made out of no way we thank you for keeping our mind in perfect peace because you've allowed our minds to be stayed on you we thank you for giving us peace in the midst of confusion you've been our shelter in the time of storm you've been our redeemer you've been our revealer you've been our strong tower and so we thank you we lift up the service to you even now we lift up the worship team anoint them afresh we lift up the musicians we anoint them afresh we lift up the media team we lift up co-pastor even now give a word from on high when you sweet god we listen when you speak situations change when you speak people are saved when you speak people are healed when you speak our families are blessed when you speak people are delivered so speak word lord we're listening we need a word from you a word so that we can stay strong a word so that we can stay planted and so we lift the service up to you even now and we speak to the enemy and we decree and we declare that no weapon formed against us will never be able to prosper we decree and we declare that when the enemy rushes in like a flood the spirit of the lord will lift up a standard so we thank you for the standard of your word we thank you for the standing of truth we thank you for the standard of holiness and we believe that victory will be ours joy will be ours peace will be ours love will be ours and we give you glory praise and honor it's in jesus name that we pray and we all say amen and amen come on if you love jesus once you lift your hands all over this sanctuary this sacred the lord they never cease to sing at the feet of my king there's a calming theme [Music] lord [Music] [Applause] holy lord around the lord [Music] of the lord at the feet of the king there's a comedy [Music] [Applause] [Music] so we cry [Music] [Music] you [Music] both now and forever [Music] you will [Music] receive now and forever [Music] glory forever with your hands extended to the heavens know he's going to answer that prayer he's going to answer that little chant put those hands together and appreciate his presence i said put those hands together and appreciate his presence for the lord is here i can put him together and act like you know he's here [Music] he's right here he's right here he is right here [Music] and in the presence of the lord there is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore you may have your seeds god is good he's kind he's wonderful he did for me what no one and nothing else could do he picked up the broken fragmented pieces of my life and he put me back together again i owe him everything i said i owe him everything lord have mercy and it is because of his goodness his contender mercies and his kindnesses that we have not been consumed well good morning how you doing it is good uh pastor's not here our senior pastor is not with us um last year during um the high uh time of covert one of the founding mothers of our international church who resides in milwaukee wisconsin went home to be with the lord and it's been it's been a while since i've heard of somebody just having breakfast going in her prayer room sitting down in her sunroom and just sleeping away you know god is okay with me and that is exactly what happened to mother geraldine folks she got up had breakfast and went to sit down and relax and her grandson came in the room and he to tell her he was leaving to go on some errands and she had slept away she just slept away and went home to be with the lord and they had a memorial service for her on yesterday and bishop thought it not robbery to honor the family's request and go to milwaukee to say a final goodbye and so that's where he is say hello to the bishop i know he watching give him a good wave and throw him a kiss nah cause i know he's watching but god is good and he's good all of the time we have a lot to do today um it's also out our sunday for holy communion and we want to recognize graduates and all that kind of stuff but i do have a word from the lord i do believe i do believe that i have a word from the lord i have several scriptures that i'm going to use from the book of job so there's not a scripture text that i'm going to read at the beginning of this dialogue with you i'm just going to give you my subject and you'll see as we proceed through the sermon how god has orchestrated this type of message amen my subject is this i will get through this now when i tell you it blessed me when i was preparing it so i need you to get excited get in the posture both those of you who are in person and those of you who are streaming we say good morning to our streaming audience to know that whatever it is you are dealing with whatever it is that's going on in your life you're going to get through it so i'm going to say it and then i'm going to ask you to repeat it but i'm going to ask you to repeat it with the same strength that i'm going to say it okay my subject this morning is don't say it yet is i'm going to say it first i will get through this your turn [Applause] imma do it again so the devil can get real mad because he's tied some of us up and bundled some of us up and acted like we were gonna get through it i'm gonna say it again and then you repeat i will get through this your turn [Music] [Applause] clap your hands and give god praise if you believe it i say clap those hands and give god praise if you believe it [Music] now make the devil real mad and look over at your neighbor look beside you look in front of you look behind you look at somebody and say neighbor all neighbor neighbor [Applause] all i know is i will get through this sound yes [Music] oh yes yes ma'am yes sir i'm coming out of this the devil is a liar i said the devil is a liar my best days are still before me [Applause] [Music] let's begin the dialogue let's begin the dialogue and the discussion i read a quote this past week from an unknown author that said this a bad day doesn't mean a bad life yeah it it resonated with me strongly during one of my meditation periods on last week that a bad day doesn't mean a bad life as we examine the book of job no true a statement could be said to attest to job's life than this statement right here a bad day doesn't mean a bad life our subject this morning is crouched within that text or within that statement and within the text or the scriptures you will hear read momentarily job's attitude when the unthinkable things happen to him hmm just just just visualize it for a moment in one day in one swoop job lost all of his possessions and his children can you imagine losing everything everything gone everything that you own everything that's dear to you gone in or about the same time i can only imagine job's state of mind and his emotions i mean everything gone with no way to recover or reciprocate what has been taken here's the question i feel that was haunting job and perhaps haunting some of us today how do you make sense help me god how do you make sense out of undeserved sufferings unexpected setbacks and unprecedented challenges i think somewhere in the back of job's mind i gotta preach quick and fast but i think somewhere in the back of job's mind that question surfaced more than one time how do you make sense out of undeserved sufferings i mean you didn't do nothing to go through what you're going through unexpected setbacks where stuff come from and unprecedented challenges why am i still being challenged with this and seemingly the absence of god now it's one thing to go through all that stuff and god is there but there's another thing go of all that stuff and he ain't nowhere to be found and so i'm sure that in job's quest to understand what was going on in his life that question had to have risen but but the answer the answer is right here in the book of job we're going to we going to get to it the answer to those situations right here can be found right here in the book of job job shows us how to continue to trust god in the midst of life's uncertainties can i get a witness somebody just wave at me if you know that life will bring uncertainty how do we continue to keep on trusting god in the middle of life's uncertainty so today's sermon is designed with some hidden principles to help us deal with life's unexpectancies yeah i i i let me just digress for a moment because i only have three principles let me just digress for a moment and and say this god is not the kind of god that is mean or or gets delight in your broken heart or or gets happy when you crying he's not that kind of god but he does on occasions [Laughter] he does on occasions however allow certain trials certain testings so i'm gonna help somebody here and out there too ah trials certain testings certain tribulations and persecutions sufferings to happen in our lives to bring us into a deeper place of faith and trust in him i'm gonna help somebody streaming i'm gonna help somebody streaming he he does that he does that and he does that without sometimes any notice he he does that sometimes in in very difficult unprecedented kind of ways he he does do that so with that thought in mind that that whatever was happening to job and whatever is happening to you uh there's something deeper going on that brings us to our first principle there's only three three three and the first principle is found in job chapter 1 verse 8. now i went back and forth with the holman christian standard bible new king james king james and i what so when i read it whatever one fits it that's where it came from okay so here's principle one out of one of them translations chapter 1 and verse 8 says this and the lord said to satan have you considered my servant job listen to the compliment he gives job that there is none like him in the earth a blameless upright man who fears god and turns away from evil that's the scripture that goes with this first principle and here's the first principle whatever happened to job god initiated the trouble oh okay okay okay okay okay me and you spirit we're gonna have to work this okay whatever was going on in job's life it was not ish it was not initiated by satan it was initiated by god which leads me to believe that some things we have to deal with in life is not the devil [Applause] some unforeseen troubles some adverse conditions that are going on in our lives have been done or is do is going on because of god's initiation god is the one who places job in all of these adverse situations that he's going to find himself in god put job out there look at somebody tell them god put them out there god put job out there god said to satan let me tell you something i got somebody serving me that's not gonna bow bend or break under any pressure that you feel you can place upon him i wish i had somebody in the sanctuary that could just lift up his or her hand and say to me cole pastor i'm one of them well y'all ain't talking loud let me let me let me just go to this i said i need somebody in these two sections who are not afraid not scared don't want to say i don't know say co-pastor i'm one of them thank you that god can count on to be one of his servants regardless of the stress and the strain that being a servant of god may put on my life god knew that that job could handle whatever he had to go through so here again is my text here again is my subject i will get through this the old folk said it this way the lord will not put upon you any more than you're able to bear in other words if god allows certain things that are not pleasant that are unkind that are uncomfortable that happen to you well he's allowed those kinds of situations and circumstances and predicaments to happen to you because he knows you can handle it lord have mercy glance over at your neighbor and say neighbor neighbor neighbor i can handle it put those hands together like it's the truth so job's trouble has been initiated by god got to move his principle number two in reading verse 8 of chapter one it appears as if satan is in control because the only restriction that he's given is that you can't kill him you could do anything you want but you can't kill him put your hands on yourself and declare it's not going to kill me i may cry but it's not going to kill me i may be confused but it's not going to kill me i may be lied on but it's not going to kill me talked about and mistreated but i'm not gon [Applause] broke busted and disgusted but it's not you all know how to talk back but it's not it may appear as if satan is in control but the underlying truth is that god is completely intro in control here's the principle when it comes to what you're going through and who's in control even though job has lost everything the principle that god is in control is found in chapter one again verse 20 and 21 it says this whatever translation okay it says this then job stood up tore his robe and shaved his head fell to the ground and worshipped god saying naked i came from my mother's womb and naked i will leave this life the lord gives and the lord takes away praise the name of yahweh [Applause] that's the principle god is in control of everything that's going on in my life and since god is in control i'm gonna stand up i'm gonna throw my hands up i'm gonna worship god and i'm gonna praise the name of yahweh i need about 50 folk in the house 50 folk who are present who are really going through something make the devil out a liar stand up open your mouth throw your hands up i'ma give you ten seconds to praise the name of yahweh [Applause] i said god is in control he's completely in control open up your mouth clap your hands and praise the name of the lord yes lord yes the lord yes lord now i'm going to ask those of you who are streaming to become intentional with those of us who are in person those of you who are streaming stand up wherever you are open your mouth clap your hands and join us who are in person and praise the name of yahweh for god is yet in total control [Music] i said regardless of what you going through regardless of what it looks like regardless of how bad it may seem the lord god is worthy to be praised i will bless the lord at all times good times bad times in between the times negative times positive times i will bless the lord at all times and his praises let me hear you please yahweh [Music] stop your fifth foot and declare i will bless the name of the lord yes lord yes the lord now turn around and look at somebody and tell them i will get through this [Music] [Music] i'm gonna get through it i may have to fall but i'm gonna get through it i may have to have scored these black guys that already know but i will [Music] say yes please sit down you're gonna make me be over time please sit down [Music] god is in control i'm gonna do what job said i'm gonna bless him i'm a blessing when it hurts me to bless him i'm gonna give him glory when it hurts me to give him glory i'm gonna call him good when nothing on in my life is going on good please sit down i gotta we got to get through imma get through this imma get through it i'm going to get through it i'ma get through it and i'ma get through with joy just say this to yourself just say this to yourself whisper it whisper it to yourself because we got we got to move on i got another principle we got to move over just whisper this to yourself say self say self god is in charge of the outcome that's all you got to know you ain't got to do no long prayer you ain't got to fast for 40 days and 40 nights all all you have to do is put in your spirit god is in control of what's going to happen to me he controls the outcome so job is going through god initiates his trouble and then he stands back and let the devil think he's in control but the underlying truth is god controls the outcome here's my final point here's the final principle god uses listen calvary and friends god uses how you conduct yourself he uses your conduct in adverse situations to build godly character you don't use your good days to build godly character in you well anybody can do good when good is happening but god uses my god the adversity in your life to build your conduct and as he builds your conduct by how you act when things are not going well in your life he also builds your character lord have mercy the principle is found right here and job 23 and verse number 10 whatever translation and job chapter 23 and verse 10 says this he knows god knows the way that i take when he has tested me i will emerge as pure gold oh i'm so sorry you can't slap nobody in five i'm so sorry you can't high five nobody high five the bench high five the chair if you're at home high five to tv and say i am so glad that when god gets through with this thing in my life i shall come forth as pure gold aha job you got it when god gets through testing me when god gets through watching me praise him through everything that is gone spiraling down and gone so wrong when god gets through testing me i shall come forth i shall emerge as pure gold lord hammers i wish i had a little more time to give you some indication of the process of making gold pure but i don't have a whole lot of time so let me just hit it right quick when gold is make being made pure they take the metal first of all they take the metal and when they take it it has to go through a process of being squashed or pressured gold does not become what it should be until it's been squashed until it's been put under pressure lord have mercy i got some saints in the house this morning that know a little something about life squashing you and putting you under pressure but when life squashes and puts you under pressures pressure that's the time not to cry and whine but to throw up your hands and declare when he gets through testing me when he gets through trying me when i get out of this i'm going to be better i'm going to be wiser thank you mom and sap i'm going to be better i'm going to be wiser i'm going to know that no weapon formed against me will ever prosper gold has to be squashed gold has to be pressured and then when gold is squashed and gold is pressured it becomes soft it becomes so soft that the one working with the metal can shape and form it into any shape or form that he wants it to be they call that the molding process i came to tell somebody what you're dealing with now it's not to break you it's going to be there so it can make you so like the ponder had the potter the part of the potter had the clay on the wheel he shaped it and he formed it into a vessel that he wanted it to be so i came to tell you how you're going to get through this because god is shaping god is molding god is forming your character and you into what he has for you what he wants you to be if that's you just wave your hand and say co-pastor i'm in the molding process i can't hear nobody i said say co-pastor i'm in the molding process lord have mercy and the molding process is much harder than the pressure process because the potter or the scientist has to keep recreating has to keep twisting has to keep turning has to keep breaking has to keep making until you are perfect so you need to know you gonna get through this because god is making something wonderful out of your life well let's say it another way it does not yet appear what we shall be but we know that when he oh god that when he appears we shall be like him but we shall see him as he is clap your hands if god is making you if god is shaping you if god is calling you what what what how what he wants you to be i need you to testify to yourself say self i will get through this you ain't saying it like you mean it huh say self i will get through this yes i will yes i will yes i will huh yes i will god started it god started it he initiated he's taken me through he's in control and he's testing me but i'm gonna come out of this i'm gonna come out of this bigger better and was [Music] say yes yes i got to go we got a lot to do i got to go huh i was trying to find wayne a way to end this that would give some satisfaction to people who are going through because when you're going through the process it's not comfortable when you're going through a molding breaking mending process it's not easy i said we got to get somewhere before we get to chapter 42 when it reads that god blessed job with double he gave them multiple things more than he ever had when the process started but there's something in chapter 42 huh before you get to the multiple blessings that god gave job it's in chapter 42 and it's uh and this okay i'll tell you this one this one is the good word translation the god's good word translation here's what god's good word translation says and job 42 chapter number one here's what it says it says i know that you god can do everything and that your plans are unstoppable lord have mercy i came for about 75 folks that are in church and about 275 that are watching i came to assure you that god knows what you're going through he knows the plans that he has for you and they are unstoppable look at two or three people and tell them how god's plans for my life are unstoppable [Music] the devil can't stop him the devil can't stop him his plans are unstoppable well let's take it to jeremiah and jeremiah says it this way i know the thoughts and the plans that i have for you and i'm going to bring you to a victorious end so the adder shall be greater your end gonna be better job got double instead of 500 cattle he got a thousand cattle instead of 700 donkeys he got 1400 donkeys he said of 10 children he got 10 more children oh god he's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think now this is the last time talk to somebody that you haven't talked to today and look at them straight in the face and say neighbor neighbor oh neighbor god's plans for my life are unstoppable talk to them one more time and say neighbor neighbor huh i got to praise god i got to do it because god is going to help me get through this get through this get through this get through this get through this don't know when don't know why i don't know where but what i do know is at the end of this at the end of this huh i'm gonna be better i'm gonna be wiser i'm gonna be stronger my character will be more like god i'm finished we gonna pray we're gonna have communion god is the orchestrator you hear me god is the orchestrator of every aspect of your life god is in total control he controls the outcome he is to be praised and worshipped in the good times and the rough times because god's plans for your life are unstoppable no circumstance no criticism no condition no matter how adverse it may be will ever be able to stop to stop to stop what god has planned for your life lift up your head [Laughter] and peter says count it all joy when we find ourselves in diverse and difficult situations count it all joy with the fiery fires of life like the fire that purifies the goal knock on your door you'll get through it [Music] you'll live through it you'll be better because of it father we thank you for your encouraging words that life does not control how our life ends our life's end is controlled by the one who gave it life so father we thank you we're anxious for nothing but we're comfortable in all things that he that begun this good work in us is fully evil and capable to bring it to a fruitful end so we bless you and we praise you before we take communion if if you're viewing or if you're here in person you've not made jesus your choice we're never in so much of a hurry that we can't stop and invite someone who does not know the lord as personal savior to come to know him nobody should be living today without being in relationship with god [Music] i didn't say you had to belong to a church i said nobody living today should not be living without being in a relationship with god things are happening too quick things are changing too rapidly people are here today and gone today people can be walking around down the sidewalk and get get get a bullet that will take them out life is too uncertain today to not have jesus in your life there's a number on the bottom of the screen you need to make jesus your choice call that number there are intercessors who can lead you into a simple prayer a simple conversation with god that will cause god to become the center of your life prevention you're sitting here in person as quite as it's kept your life is not secure with god and if you lift your hand there are workers that will come close to you and just lift your hand if you're here so i can see you they'll come close and lead you to a simple conversation with god my mind that will change your entire life amen father we thank you again for your loving kindnesses and tender mercies that have caused us to bible has commanded us to do it whenever we think of the sacrifice that jesus made on the cross then we honor that by sharing in sacrament or the eucharist or communion service he didn't have to do it lay down their life for a friend on the same night that jesus was betrayed he broke bread and said to the apostles as often as you do this you affiliate yourself with my death [Music] and also my get we sow seed and we do that generously so that we can prove god to be faithful to his word by whatever means he feels necessary it may not always come back in the form of money harvest but he can hit our bodies he can save our families he can bless our going out and are coming in he can do anything like i said earlier but fail and in those times when we need him we can say god we are proving you we are trusting you because we believe you will open up the windows of heaven and pour us our blessings that we do not have room to receive and so there are various ways that you can give right again philippians 4 13 says that i can do all things not some things young people but all things through christ which strengthens me and the second scripture that i want to share with you all this word restoration has been in my heart restoration and it comes from first peter verse 5 and 10. [Music] and the word of god says and after you have suffered for a little while the god of all grace who has called you to see his eternal glory in christ will himself restore support strengthen and establish you so as we begin to move into the next phase as some of you will be going back in person to school that word restoration god is going to give you it back he's going to restore in you what you may have lost parents i know you've been wondering is my child still in academic standing virtual um has really knocked us has really rocked us i don't know if my children will be back to the way they were before covet happened well it's my prayer that god is saying that he is going to restore what the enemy took away from you and i believe it's somewhere in the bible that says that job recovered all and he got a double portion for his blessing amen let us pray let us pray let us pray god we thank you god we magnify you we lift your name up high oh god on today lord heavenly father we pray that you would just be with our young people be with those in the hallways be with those who are on the buses lord heavenly father be with those as they walk to school oh god be without young people lord heavenly father as the enemy tries to just sift them as a wheat we pray unto you god because we know that you are a god who is able to cover them lord with your precious blood uh cover them lord heavenly father as they walk to school lord cover them lord heavenly father as they sit in their classrooms god cover them lord heavenly father as they learn lord heavenly father as they sit in proximity next to one another oh god we pray unto you knowing that you are a god who's able to deliver oh lord knowing that there is no virus that is stronger than the power and the blood of our jesus yes oh god we lift your name up on high oh god for those children who may be dealing with anxiety we ask you to be a god of peace a god shalom hi jihad jira oh god we need you right now lord heavenly father for those parents lord that do not know what it's going to look like in the next coming weeks to come oh god we praying for a level of peace lord let they be able to get a sound rest god let them be able to get a sound night of sleep oh god let them not have to worry about if their children or if their child or if the school will be safe but we're pleaded right now in the blood of jesus that you would release your power oh god that you would save them o lord that you would cover them lord heavenly father for everybody who's in the schoolhouse from the janitor oh god that you would just cover him oh lord from the social worker that is there on duty that you would just cover them oh god for the educators for the teachers god in the classroom we ask that you would just cover them right now oh god for those who are preparing the food and the meals lord we ask for covering over them right now god for the administration staff oh lord we ask for a covering over them oh god for their lord of directors lord heavenly father for the superintendents oh god meet them at their local level lord meet them at their state level lord meet them at the national level lord oh we pray oh we pray oh we pray god because there is no name that is higher than yours there is no name in which we may be able to call that we may be able to be saved so we lift up your name in the precious
