yeah guys so in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen peace be with you and with your spirit within your will o lord all things are established and there is none that can resist your will for you have made all things the heaven and the earth and all that is held within the circle of heaven you are the lord of all let us recognize the presence of god the father of all let us continue to pray for the healing of the world for the protection of those who are sick for the peace of those who have died i confess almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that i have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words in what i have done and in what i have failed to do through my fault through my fault through my most grievous fault therefore i ask blessed mary ever virgin all the angels and saints and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the lord our god may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and lead us to life everlasting amen lord have approach jesus and ask is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife they were testing him he said to them in reply what did moses command you they replied moses permitted a husband to write a bill of divorce and dismiss her but jesus told them because of the hardness of your hearts he wrote you this commandment but from the beginning of creation god made the male and female for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh so they are no longer two but one flesh therefore what god has joined together no human being must separate in the house the disciples again questioned jesus about this he said to them whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her and if she divorces her husband and marries another she commits adultery and people were bringing children to him that he might touch them but the disciples rebuked them when jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them let the children come to me do not prevent them for the kingdom of god belongs to such as these amen i say to you whoever does not accept the kingdom of god like a child will not enter it they embrace them and bless them placing his hands on them the gospel of the lord praise you lord jesus christ the problem is not just about marriage the problem is not just about priesthood the problem is fidelity the problem is faithfulness the problem is we cannot trust anymore we cannot trust anything and anybody absolutely all the time when you read news you have to verify whether it is fake or not when you buy a product giving you warranty you are not sure how long the product will last and then the story will say to you no return no exchange trust it has become very difficult to trust because even institutions are being destroyed one after another destroying the credibility of the supreme court destroying the credibility of the pope destroying the credibility of those in authority and then people in authority linked to cases of corruption bordering on plunder the question is who can we trust can we still trust can we still be faithful is there anyone who can still say i have always been faithful our generation is a generation of broken promises forgotten commitments and wounded relationships when i talk to young people they have difficulty trying to explain that it is all right that my father is not living with my mother and i have another sibling from another wife of my father our children are struggling about broken families broken relationships husbands and wives with second boyfriend and girlfriend and then people just say i don't like to get married anymore one of the painful statements i ever heard from our youth is i don't like friends anymore because they just hurt you you remember the song if i did that love i would not have cried that is the tragic reflection of our age if i have not loved i would not have cried i don't like to make friends anymore they always hurt me and even with children with babies with infants do you parents not hear them sometime say to us but you promise you promise me you will come home early we'll go to mcdo you promise you'll give me a toy car you promise you'll bring me a cell phone you promise you will give me a new tablet you promise and early in life our children are introduced to broken promises forgotten commitments and wounded and crushed relationships why should we be faithful why is fidelity important first fidelity makes you more human fidelity makes you more human if you are faithful to your commitment if you keep the promises you have made you will also become fuller as a human being in the same way that people who cheat people who lie people who live double lives people who hide so many skeletons in the closet are actually less free less happy less human that is the first reason fidelity makes you more human second fidelity makes your life heavenly to fall in love is romantic but to stay in love is mystical only by the grace of god can you stay in love romance you can have that when you fall in love first time second time falling in love but to stay in love with the same beloved with all the wrinkles and faults with all the scars with all the sins with all the imperfections to stay loving that beloved is mystical it is heavenly only by the power of god will you be able to do that that is why the lord's covenant is expressed this way i will be your god you will be my people in spite of our unfaithfulness god is faithful and when you are faithful no matter what they do to you you become a mystic because staying in love can only come from the grace of god because it cannot be only human love if it is only human love it will just be romance fidelity makes you more human fidelity makes your life heavenly and the third reason for fidelity fidelity makes your beloved beautiful fidelity makes your beloved beautiful because god is always faithful to us each time god looks at us even if we know our faults god sees the beauty in us and he can be faithful our fidelity transforms others our fidelity makes others beautiful our fidelity makes others lovable even if in their hearts they think they are not worthy that is what fidelity does and when fidelity is broken you become ugly and when commitment is broken everybody becomes ugly for you because you cannot trust anymore anyone the word of god for today is not just about divorce it is something deeper than divorce it is our capacity to be men and women of fidelity to be men and women who are faithful to be men and women who keep promises who remember commitment and who refuse to break others and wound others by their infidelity we can do it only by god i say it again to fall in love is romantic but to stay in love is mystical and only by the power of god can you stay in love stay beautiful by being faithful experience heaven and earth by being faithful see beauty around you by being faithful faithfulness is heavenly it makes all of us more beautiful i believe in one god the father almighty maker of heaven and earth of all things visible and invisible i believe in one lord jesus christ the only begotten son of god born of the father before all ages god from god light from light true god from true god begotten not made consubstantial with the father through him all things were made for us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven and by the holy spirit was incarnate of the virgin mary and became man for our sake he was crucified and their punches he suffered death and was buried and rose again on the third day in accordance with the scriptures he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the father he will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end i believe in the holy spirit the lord the giver of life who proceeds from the father and the son who is and i look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come amen god is faithful he is our god and we are his people let us present our needs and say lord hear our prayer lord hear our prayer that the church under the leadership of both francis and all the bishops may successfully promote the unity and stability of the human family let us pray lord heal our prayer that all catholic faithful may appreciate the sacredness of marriage and defend it against all attacks and deviations let us pray lord heal our prayer that all couples who are experiencing a crisis in their relationship may be able to overcome all difficulties through prayer and the concern for their children let us pray lord hear our prayer that all our families may mirror the holiness of the family of nazareth and become an inspiration to all let us pray lord hear our prayer that all teachers may appreciate their god-given vocation and actualize it with wisdom and love let us pray lord heal our prayer god our father thank you for the gift of faithfulness to us even if we are not worthy may remembering your faithfulness urge us to be faithful to our promises to always remember our commitment and to lay by our word through christ our lord amen blessed are you lord god of all creation for to your goodness we have received this bread that we offer you fruit of the earth and work of human hands it will become for us our bread of life blessed be god forever by the mystery of this water and wine may we come to share in the divinity of christ who humbled himself to share in our humanity blessed are you lord god of all creation for to your goodness you have received this mind to offer you fruit of the vine and work of human hands it will become for us our spiritual ring blessed be god forever ask you to receive us and we please see the sacrifice we offer you with humble and contrite hearts pray brethren that your sacrifice and mine may be acceptable to god the almighty father may the lord accept this sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name for our good in the good of all his holy church accept o lord we pray the sacrifices instituted by your commands and through the sacred mysteries which we celebrate with dutiful service graciously complete the sanctifying work by which you are pleased to redeem us through christ our lord amen the lord be with you and with your spirit lift up your hearts we lift them up to the lord let us give thanks to the lord our god it is right and just it is truly right and just our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks lord holy father almighty and eternal god for you lay the foundations of the world and have arranged the changing of times and seasons you form man in your own image and set humanity over the whole world in all its wonder to rule in your name over all you have made and forever praise you in your mighty works through christ the way the truth and the and so with all the angels we praise you as in joyful celebration we acclaim holy holy holy lord god of hosts heaven and earth are full of your glory hosanna in the highest blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord hosanna in the highest you are indeed holy o lord the fount of all holiness make holy therefore these gifts we pray by sending down your spirit upon them like the jew fall so that they may become for us the body and blood of our lord jesus christ at the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion he took bread and giving thanks broke it and gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and eat of it for this is my body which will be given drink the scalp we proclaim your death o lord until you come again therefore as we celebrate the memorial of his death resurrection we offer you lord the bread of life and the chalice of salvation giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you humbly we pray that partaking of the body and blood of christ we may be guarded into one by the holy spirit remember lord your church spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity together with francis our pope my brother bishops and all the clergy remember also our brothers and sisters have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection and all have died from this pandemic especially those for whom we now pray welcome them into the light of your face have mercy on us all we pray that in the blessed virgin mary mother of god with the blessed apostles with blessed joseph her spouse and all the saints who have blessed you throughout the ages we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life and may praise and glorify you through your son jesus christ through him and with him and in him o god almighty father in the unity of the holy spirit all glory and honor is yours forever and ever amen god is faithful even if we are not let us renew our confidence in him who has revealed his fatherly love to us let us pray as god's children our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil deliver us lord we pray from every evil and graciously grant peace in our days that by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our savior jesus christ for the kingdom the power and the glory are yours now and forever lord jesus christ who said to your apostles peace i leave you my peace i give you look not on our sins but on the faith of your church and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will who live and reign for ever and ever amen the consume through christ our lord amen so as in the previous saturday evening masses we have five children from our parish who received their first holy communion yesterday was her birthday lay nicole
