Would be been awesome if there had been fish swimming around it too. And it was so loud and clear! Super neat sounds to be heard. Those go pros are pretty good cameras. I guess they must not have been diving super deep for the cameras to survive.
I'm surprised the footage was allowed to be released with the sound. The propeller's noise is the distinctive trait of a sub, and knowing it allows it's detection from background noise and identify its class with any vessels that has a sonar. So it's generally classified information. I'm maybe wrong, but in France, all the videos inside of our SSBN are extremely controlled. Surprising there isn't these measures for American vessels
Just sat through ten minutes of back and forth of a submarine and I came away impressed
This whole thing gave me such high anxiety that my teeth clenched so hard I'm surprised they didn't break.
Now I know how Indy felt.
I know it's probably nothing, but what's with the bolts sticking out of the hull around 2:10?
This led me to a bunch of videos of scuba divers coming across submarines. That would be a bit freaky, but hearing the sonar ping was really cool
I'm good, thanks.
This is more fascinating than phobic
