Stromae is frickin' awesome! In fact, the entire album this song comes from, Racine Carrée, is amazing. Personal favorites of mine include ta fête, ave cesaria, Formidable, and sommeil. There's also a US version of this song that features Angel Haze rapping in English, which is really good.
Bottom line, check this album out. He's also just a very interesting artist if you watch some of his interviews on YouTube.
Stromae is the best thing to come out of Belgium in a long time, great song ! Too bad he doesn't want to make music anymore :/
Great to see Stromae get some love on here. Massively talented guy who has some of the best pop songs out there I think
I really love Stromae. His music made want to learn French. When I first heard Papaoutai I couldn't understand what he was saying but his emotion really struck a chord with me. Then after watching the video I started putting the pieces together and realized how sad the song is.

So happy to see this posted here! He's one of the only popular musicians that did a tour around Africa and basically sold out everywhere! I was lucky enough to see him in Senegal and everyone was really chuffed that he even considered touring in Africa. Wish more artists did that!

It's one of the best concerts I've ever seen. The music, the visuals, the camera work, everything is amazing. And his has English subtitles, which will make you appreciate how deep his songs really are.
So glad this has way more hits than Alors On Dance.
TIL that Stromae has only charted in 12 countries. I thought everybody knew about his music. 'Papaoutai' was on the charts for more than a year here in the Netherlands.
