well gu is once again made it to tuxen Arizona for the duct tape drags this is an action-packed event if you've never been mark it down in your calendar we've got open Drag passes for anybody we got the $5,000 hoopie which is just absolutely hilarious we tried to get in last year and failed miserably we got the tri five Chevy shootout and we got the vice grip garage burnout pit this year which comes with a pit hero Trophy and I brought Charlotte of course we're going to do some burnouts and you guys wanted to see e back here go down the4 mile so we put some news bald drag radio's on we're going to see what that thing does as well so stay tuned it's going to be a lot of [Applause] [Music] [Applause] fun [Music] so this year at duct tape we've got the vice GP garage burnout pit nice big open Square we wanted to make sure that any skill level can come in here and have fun right so there's no tight dog legs or anything like that you're not pressured to do a huge tip in or any of that so we're hoping that beginners come out pros come out intermediates come out I don't know what I am a Joe I'm going to get Charlotte come out and have a little bit of fun we've got some nice fencing around here we've got the K barriers we also put up bike fencing this year to get the crowd a little bit further back we just want to make sure we're safe and we keep this sport safe there are 55 cars right now enlisted in the burnout competition we've got 400 drag cars out here we've got over 200 campers out here this place is going to be buzzing very very soon I don't even think the gates are open yet actually and it's quite full but this is going to be a lot of fun I think we're going to bring Charlotte out two three times maybe we'll eventually knock the tires off tonight but we might kick it off at 11: with a small one kick it off at 12:30 I'll be on the microphone this year that's going to be new and then right around 3 or 4:00 we'll we'll throw some Sparks it's going to be thing I only brought one set of tires and I might have talked David fryberger into ripping this thing a little bit later so you're going to have to stay tuned for that but let's go ahead and get this motor and put a Toploader four speeed in it and and then straight to a burnout competition well yeah my guy have fun out there he's got the coopa Cabas let's here for the Ford it's been a blast so far hopefully we can get Charlotte patched up I don't know what happened there computers she's a pirate got one leg but it's spinning that Tire's got to be offly close oh he's going to call it great job for the Ford wow I don't know what we have going on explain to me 79 Jeep Cherokee chap then we cut the top off we bu to go on Ultimate Adventure and we did that this looks awfully impressive you got our tow rig out here please thanks to Derek here I dragged this thing out of the weeds I spent the last 3 months working my tail off day and night to make it out here and I'm here and I'm just so powered Manick who thinks he's got [Applause] it okay I think that's pretty clear congratulations the Manick wins the pit hero trophy thank you to all of the competitors they wrench they work hard at Mavericks and pickups and Diesel Swap this and that and turbos and you name it the winner was a 383 Roots blown small blocks stuffed in a Maverick that he called the Manick and he did a really good job and it's a cool story actually he said he's a fan of ice cream Gage he's been watching the channel got inspired pulled this thing out got it running been just working hard to make it here and then he wins it's just incredible a lot of fun now we're going to go to the battle of the beaters this is for cars 5,000 and under and they'll come up and I believe Friberg and dich are going to vote first of all if your car is actually worth 5,000 or less and if you pass they'll give you a sticker you go into the lanes and then it's just elimination run after run after run and this year there's like a bogus class so if you roll up in a car that's obviously worth more than 5,000 they'll stick you in this other class it's hilarious and so fun to watch so I think we're going to go down to the staging lanes and get some drag racing [Music] AC I just going to ask how much he wants for this car my favorite part of this whole thing is I mean we probably need it right how much you want for this bad boy class because my do is all right lucky as we all know it's does that mean I get the drive on the track there we go yes it means you get the drive on the track but he gets the racing which is fine oh go find another one this one back here is a mid 80s gbody obviously but it's a circle track race car this thing is fully built cage stripped it's got a V8 has that got a power glide or a 350 doesn't matter it's built to the hillt by any means necessary that car should absolutely destroy us but I thought it would be fun just for comparison V6 vers V8 naturally aspirated vers turbo we'll see what happens this looks like the vice grip garage Showdown right now I think I'm not precisely sure what's going on I think Derek is in his tea type and then he's got the Monte Carlo in the far Lane I should probably know what that car is but I don't but that is Derek in the tea type what's funny is he comes to a stop as his vour seat flops forward into the dash all right here's the match race between Derek and other guy all right other guy got the jump against Derek he better lay some boost into that thing or Derek is going to be like showing the door yeah w w sorry Derek you just got smoked by a 1385 dirt track looking thing and his v6t type went 1526 92 mph drag race did not go as expected I was hoping it was going to be a lot closer theoretically it should have ran like a a very high 13 low 14 but it did not it was a low 15 but I can't complain listen we just pulled this out of storage unit I haven't done anything to it it's bone stock the fans loved it gbody versus gbody it was really cool and now we've got something to build upon not saying this is going to be a race car but we definitely got to make it quicker well the part's about over people are filing out but listen I got to redeem myself we found a blown fuse shut down Charlotte completely obviously got that fixed I've got to go out and blow these tires off we've also got the Pit Boss I think we got a truck coming we've got another gbody race car we've got a couple folks out here for safety so we're going to have some fun put on a show while everybody leaves this is going to be pretty cool [Music] oh on
