and we said about faith which is there we all preach about so much the health I think so little now god you're like a brother said the other night but the only way really to exercise faith is to get there when he came to be wonderfully different he said in I enjoyed the talk about faith and he said I really really would like to exercise faith and I said well is he wonderful and she says but how do you really like sir sighs it I said well I know wrong way I don't think it's the most popular that there's one way when he didn't really exercise patience and look all right let me just just let me write this down that said you won't neither write it down I said because this is that this is the secret I think you've to get into such a jam that you can't get out any other way but by faith or I think about it is it I'm just worried really about learning how to exercise faith but you know God very often cut to all the props away until we've nothing to lean on and knowing to lean on then if I say very often to myself if I have God I don't need anybody else if I don't need God I need every prop I can get Selina but if I have garvey's my all sufficiently there's no inadequacy in 10 often when talking about John 15 a very wonderful chapter as you know I often say to people before ever you read John 15 you should read Ezekiel 15 because in Ezekiel 15 you have a description of the vine which tells us but it's no good for anything at all you don't make furniture out of a ride you know design is that the one thing only that is to produce fruit in' and a lot of fruit of course you get the wine now by the same token I think if you're gonna study egg that have you can't skip the first chapter of Paul's letter to the Romans because it's almost entirely about Abraham and I think that in our fourth chapter Romans you have one of the very best if you want to call it a desk no faith in Romans 4 and verse 28 says he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief but was strong in faith giving glory to God I'm being fully persuaded that what he promised he was over to perform now so I'm concerned if you really get that and digest it masculinity I guess as I said - asking truth is no good up here you've got to get it in your bloodstream and if you really can get hold of that with both hands of faith as it works and say well I'm fully persuaded but what God has promised he is able to perform and you know Abraham in this situation was up against the jam because two verses previously it says remember he used a hundred years of age and his life was about 80 and God had promised them that they should have a child and as I said yesterday must have been a bit disturbing maybe - for her to go to another you see we read the story as or they won't heal them as then I kind of cardboard figures of Abraham and that Sarah and they love like me they never have emotions they never so then a shadow of doubt they will never did stuff sure they were human being and when the Lord began to work and challenge them but I read it maybe found almost the thesis that she would say to another in lot to her mother law uh-huh well not oh we're going oh well where are you going well I don't know well how far is it well I don't know well how long will it take you to gather don't know well what kind of a country is it don't know who lives that don't know well that doesn't sound too positive lovely I mean it's hardly positive thinking hmm excuse me mr. Peale but they are hey it seems so negative negative I don't know don't know don't know it was a challenge of faith but then when later Abraham comes roughly he says you know darling we're gonna have a chart on my mother will enjoy me writing home and telling her I'm gonna have a baby in of 80 years of age this is really in it so are you sure you got this straight and he is a hundred years of age but you know I think now you can put it another language but I believe God has to batch off from Abraham because he couldn't win with him that even when he came to the place where he he was willing to slay his son Abram says so what what's the problem no problem in me killing my son because gotta raise it up again or over I can't win with this fella because of not killing I gotta raise enough anyhow he said if I destroy my boy he's able than willing to raise him up again so the Lord says well you've passed the test anyhow you're willing to get him and I'm able to raise him up again if needs be again coming to this tremendous situation again we read it so easy it doesn't mean too much to it but you know things aren't that thing that looks like a mountain to you to Abraham would have looked like a molehill you say Oh what are you sweating and worrying about it nothing in that the God that I exhaust right I'm fully persuaded that he is able to do all of these promise I have a phrase in one of my books and folk who've written to me about it and said it's bless them and hurt them and all the rest of it and it's the phrase where I happen to say that I think that we as a generation of Christians were unbelieving believers and then about three weeks ago I picked up the real uncle's book her she participated in the shank tongue revival and I was reading from this very rapidly for a certain reason and he said I came to the conclusion that that we are unbelieving believers so in the mouth of two witnesses it's established anyhow and I think that one of the most embarrassing things when you and I get to the judgment seat on really that's going to be something isn't it when the whole game is finished when the Lord isn't going to measure how high your church steeple is from the ground or how big you send this to crowd or the thing when you guys stand naked and there I can't lean on my darling wife she can't lean on me you on someone else but I do agree of course I believe that when the two become one flesh there's going to be some sharing in this because the Word of God says that those who stayed at home got the same reward as those that went to battle the novice talented judgment see I think one of the most embarrassing things will be for the log to say look at all these exceeding great and precious promises and most of you never even inherited one of them I don't if you've been to Scotland that Scotland like other countries the capital cities their droves or particularly has big areas of slums I think it's called the Goebbels that it's an accepted fact as ridiculous as it may sound that in Scotland there are multiplied millions if not billions of unclaimed dollars because people are never bothered to trace their ancestry somebody left some of the a million dollars it's been accumulating compounding the interest is getting bigger and bigger and there are people living in slums property with rats and cockroaches now they're the wrong things around who should be living up the country in in one of those castles and having five thousand or ten thousand acres of land and all the shooting and fishing rights and servants but they never bothered to salt the thing out they never bothered to to trace and see if really I do inherit these things you see now you can't inherit things because you're a child Paul makes that very very clear in his work if a boy goes along and says well I'm ten years of age my father's John Smith I've got photographs here's the doctor who brought me into the world here's my Aunt Mary she identifies me and I've got everything I need and now I've come for my daddy's ten million dollars they say no sir because there's a cause in this well let's bet you are not to inherit this money until you come to maturity now because you're a child you can't inherit poor lakes are very clear in Romans I forget the chapter there for the moment then he says you must come to maturity and then we can inherit you know how the world is so streaking outside because the church on the insider stands to inherit we unattained our rights in Jesus Christ the most people Christianity they escaping Hellfire on a husband doesn't spit on the rug and doesn't beat you up and doesn't Rankin is a nice guy I will all sleep because our pastas adversary' we pay our tithes and we matter of fact we gave him the coloured TV I see the pastor has one now so he can't say all about our TV and this all right he took it but some of the promises in the Word of God they shake me to my toes I can't get over that word when it says we are heirs of God now that takes my breath away but after his special hands of God he says where John says and where joint heirs with Jesus Christ and Jesus said that he had everything that he asked of the Father now why we're living in poverty and that's any other day there's nothing John can do for the world I live in he can't give us another Bible it's complete he can't give us another Cowra Jesus finished everything including destroying the power of the devil he can't give us another Holy Spirit God has done everything he can do 80 times an hour appropriation sure I believe in the sovereignty of God that is my good friend duncan campbell off often said not independent of human personality God takes human personality in when's its with his will of any performs and so here we are we're faced with easy what the Bible doesn't call promises it doesn't even call them great promises it calls an exceeding great and precious promises and if I can get Hebrews 11 and I've done this our face over and over game to myself there are three things that faith does first of all reckon Sun God he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him so faith reckons on the faithfulness of God God said it I do it I saw him the other day about some insurance the driving this automobile and they said we'll send it but you're covered from this very moment now I have nothing to prove that I'm covered am two piece of paper having anything but I take the word of a girl in an office up in Ohio that about more than she can have an automobile and I'm writing on the faithfulness of that group now the first thing that faith does it reckons that God is and he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him and they want this face-to-face work or if you like to put the second thing is that first of all it reckons and it risks it ventures out on God so you reckon then you risk and then you rest now fighting mrs. going all the time of praise now they got our land started praising the Lord and do not happen I suddenly started praising the Lord the Lord said shut up if you ever had the mob fat heart maybe you didn't think he talked English like that' the law doesn't tell you to shut up in other words that i cannot get a word in edgeways why don't you shut up listen to me it's more important than you listen then she set out to us to the leader you know just discovered one thing that you didn't know that everybody's got all the years I've had a conference here you didn't open the Bible in your service oh no we we gave the Bible up two or three years ago we believe in direct revelation now you see when that which is perfect is come knowledge and the Bible is only part revelation that we've given out of that and we have direct revelation I don't believe it for a moment because the Word of God says that happening earth shall pass away but in one shall never pass away before all else then skin right down there being an extra for too long because the word is a lamp to our feet the word is a light to our part the word is a round of Correction the word is the source of inspiration and you can't be smarter than God God has revealed himself by his son and he's revealed himself through his word and he reveals the word for the Holy Spirit to inspire the word now we're not going to do here again with Abraham where you mentioned a little about him yesterday and then we mentioned again about north and you remember that we said that Abraham enrollees justified by faith that expands according to James aural Paul said he's justified by faith but James says that Abraham was justified by works he was justified by works when he offered his son and was waiting that dad should take that son but he was justified by works in the evidence he could live to the world outside now if we're right logically we should be right horizontal a if we're justified by faith before God they should be work real works of the Spirit florists that justify the fact that we have in works and in the fruits of the spirit otherwise all we do is stand up and I say the kids now abroad to death for the simple reason all you and I try to do is somehow safeguard God reputation and preach about the man who died 2,000 years ago I think we're almost sparking wings because we believe in the virgin birth in the physical resurrection and now remind you very respectfully the devil believes in the law but he isn't a Christian the world is not waiting for a new definition of Christianity is waiting for a new demonstration of Christianity and I say again if you're an honest interpreter of the Word of God you've got to come to Hebrews 2 and get down to the score as well as those three of how shall we escape if we neglect how shall we escape the reason we're in the mess that we're in we're trying to escape the responsibility of teaching a full gospel because in verse four very says God bearing the witness with signs and wonders and daughter's miracles and gifts of the Holy Ghost now how are you - despise God it is gift you give me one scripture where you can outlaw gifts of the Spirit or fruit - that can you give me one I say again I I get chills when I go to some conferences someone I guess or oh brother glory to God I thank God I believe on this old book from cover to cover and in the next ten minutes he spends explaining why the gifts are not for today and why revivalism for the day right and the old colleague a shinsung just to give him a bit of a pet before he stood up they son got any rivers you think an uncrossable got any mountains you can't tunnel through God specializes in things thirteen possible and any spends time telling or I can't have good now what is the word of John say the Word of God says and this is a terrible thing if you and I take anything out of the word of God he'll take our our place our names are to the book of life you say baa Arabia I would never take a you shut up on it if you try and find some fancy interpretation if you enter some book because this brother to make it right because everybody preaches it you've got to test it by the Word of God and absolutely convinced of many reasons for the bankrupts in our churches these days is that we do not follow through on the cover things of the Spirit of God they're not just gifts of the Spirit their gifts of the Lord Jesus because when he rose again he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto me now I have decided on those things but I wanted to see again a four gospel that everything Jesus died for should be manifested in his church today and when such things happen you don't have any bed meeting you don't have any problems with money you don't have any problems at all if we follow what God says in his holy would you believe that God is here's a reward and then that diligently seek him you believe of these promises are all underlined by an insider they're holding eternal God all right let's skip over we've said a few things about Abraham then we come to Noah that's a very very interesting story but this morning I thought we lived in another character here in les 23 of Hebrews 11 it says by faith Moses when he was born was hid three months of his parents because they saw he was a proper child and they were not afraid of the Kings commandment now I know some people will say if you say that you're not responsible to the state first of all they are they were from back into Romans and saying how you've got to be in subjection on there to a certain point she's very easy to raise you have two heroes of faith isn't it it's something else to be in their situation supposing Daniel had subjected himself to the laws of the state what would have happened that would be no Daniel that have been no I understand that have been no deliverance subtracting the three Hebrew children etc we can't help it you know we love the Lord but the state says you can't do this and you can't do that you got what would have happened the command have done for that any child it was born should be handed over to the to the powers that be fair on his company and your precious child that you traveled or when you loved that child must go to the state and be destroyed and the father mother said nothing doing we're going to hide this child and your recess it says back face he was head they have faith in the faithfulness of God if you want to read the Bible in it explodes in your face I did you sit down and grind over it and say old boy Harry Ironside haven't got much on this or Scofield either boy this is a tough script I'll leave it on the side now or you read it and suddenly as one man said he kind of washed out of a book and takes hold you by the throat and shake you and says look at this brother look at this look at this so here's a guy been reading Hebrews eleven I closed my Bible and kind of relax I was just as all the log said son not a single person in Hebrews 11 ever had a Bible did you ever think of that look at all they did in the never had a Bible you have a variable this morning I have a Bible it's not a book it's a library is the finished work of God in this in this area these people did all these amazing things what did they do well they're subdued kingdoms we I'm gonna stumble that with communism the Romanism yet out way they wrote righteousness they stopped the mouths of lions some women go together and prayed and what they say right they paid and the condoms of the son were raised from the dead oh come on now come on now let's be honest about it I know you feel very happy about your your marvelous faith and your knowledge of God doing who cares you didn't recycle Bible from generations Genesis to Revelation you got it all up there who cares if it's not working out tell me this why isn't your son Christian what's wrong in your home but they don't want your Christianity come on face up to it all right on YouTube reach 200 on the faith kids if your kids are not saved you should resign your church and terrify we look it that is going to sweep the streets and human if these of my family toes the line and you become children of God by faith in Jesus it takes six months and six years to do it have you got faith like that I say if they subdued get not with weapons not without some songs I say they subdued kingdoms they stop the mountain line we will receive their dead raised to life again other than carries to stand there and the flames of death rather than addiction fate wouldn't be knowing that they would receive a better resurrection now you chew that over will you when you go home one day just sit back really vigilant and then relax and say Lord these people couldn't run when they were in trouble and say oh you know this morning I was so upset and distressed about something in the family of the church that I went back to that precious promise again and I read it for the 119 millionth time Romans 8:28 all things work together for good they couldn't turn to Romans 8:28 they knew the Word of God it would be caught they'd seen it there and the temple and they'd heard it read and they had to memorize it because every portion of Scripture was written by him and nobody hardly could afford it all the Ethiopian unit did but then he was a wealthy man if you want to find a classic case of hunger for God remember he was down here in Ethiopia and he has to go there across the Red Sea he has to go right up there to Palestine because somebody told him of the true God kind of journey no blacktop roads nowhere to lodge at night and he'd go right up there and he was an Ethiopian and so he's an intellectual because he got his Bible Hebrew actually wasn't translating Ethiopian but he traded any given a stack of money solid and he's nothing that's good gist but he would one a very very few men and possibly then he only had a very small part of it you know there was a time in the history of England when a man would give a whole field of hay for one page of a Bible I was told recently of a country behind the Iron Curtain where even today when the Bible is smuggled over they they they tear off pages keep this
