Steam Deck OLED: Chiaki4deck 1.5 Setup Guide in 7 Easy Steps | PS5 Remote Play

so the new chaku for deck 1.5 recent update is one of the reasons why I bought my brand new steam deck OLED with it now adding incredible HDR support and PS5 Remote Play has never looked better just look at Spider-Man 2 for example where the vibrancy of the theme par level is mindblowing here's how to set it up in just seven easy steps plus I'll show how the controls like the PS button are set up on it too so let's dive straight in and for step one let's download Jackie for deck and to do this let's head on over to desktop mode Let's Open the Discover store search for check it for deck then simply press install and this should take less than a minute for step two let's open check if a deck now that it's been installed after a minute or so your PS5 console should appear here so click on the console you want to link and this registered console box should now pop up if for some reason your PS5 5 console doesn't automatically appear then click on the Cog icon on the top right to open settings click on the stream and consoles Tab and click register new console step three is a big one in that we now need to locate our PSN account ID to enter into this middle box right here and to do this let's head on over to a website address called PSN do flipscreen do games the link is in the description enter your PSN username in this box and click submit it will then generate the encoded ID to use for chiaka here so let's press the copy button and then paste it into this middle PSN account ID box right here so step four we now need to enter a PIN to link our PS5 console in this box below so to do this let's now go to our PS5 console itself head to the Remote Play tab on our PS5 console in settings make sure and enable remote plate is on click on this option called link device and we simply just copy this 8-digit code that is generated into this pin box right here within the checky for deck app on our steam deck OLED and congratulations Jackie for deck is now paired with our PS5 console and you should get this pop-up box to say it's been successfully registered just before we configure Jackie for deck be sure to hit that like button if you're finding this helpful And icon in the top right to head into settings click on the stream and consoles tab then change the resolution from 720p to 1080p keep the FPS at 60 and set the bit rate to 30,000 30,000 is what most people do find is the best value but of course feel free to adjust this if you do encounter any issues such as lag this next change is crucial which is to set the codec to this brand new h265 HDR option now found in the brand new chif for DEET 1.5 update to enable the HDR capability on the gorgeous OLED screen the final change in this tab that we need to make is in Hardware decode mode and change this from non to vaapi and then click close heading into the General T for Just Two tweaks here I'm going to click enable PS5 experimental features but feel free to leave this if you prefer and action on disconnect is a key option here I'm going to just leave this as the default ask when I close the checkie for deck app then press close for step six let's now add checkie for deck to use in Steam OS so to do this let's open up steam click add a game select add a non Steam game take jacku for deck press the add selected programs button then press return to gaming mode in gaming mode scroll all the way across to the non steam tab find our brand new chaky for deck app click on it tap on our newly registered PS5 console and we now have many hours of Glorious PS5 Remote Play ahead of us yes just double check HDR is enabled by clicking the steam deck menu button and in settings we should have the HDR active button in the brightness [Music] section and for the final step seven let's Now set up our controls correctly so to do this let's press the steam button make sure we're on the Jackie for deck Tab and press controller C settings in the community layout section scroll down and find the Akio chiaki deck template made by a user called AO 0504 and press X to apply this layout pressing the rear left top L4 button tuggles the mic on and off the rear left bottom L5 button closes checky for deck the rear right top R4 button Zooms in and out which I use a lot I love this and the rear right bottom R5 button stretches jacket to fill the top and bottom that I personally don't really like clicking the left trackpad brings up the PS button which is essential when using PS5 Remote Play and the right trackpad is the PS dual sense touch bar again this is essential for games and note where we click on the track pad so the top of it the bottom the left or the right can bring up different different actions depending on the game too I love to hear what will be the PS5 games that
