Stardew Valley but Cats! Cattails: Wildwood Story Demo

hey you welcome to my gaming Corner my name is Panda girl and I invite you to sit relax and stay a while and give me the chance to make you smile today we're playing a game called cat tails Wildwood story um so this is a brand new demo this is actually a standalone sequel to the game Cattails that came out in 2017 um and lots of people raved about Cattails when it came out in 2017 so um I'm excited I didn't play Cattails but apparently it's okay if you haven't played Cattails um you can play Cattails Wildwood story because it's completely standalone so if that is what is holding you back then um definitely don't let it hold you back from playing this demo or the game the game is coming out later this year uh 2023 if you were wondering um on Steam and it is coming out next year 2024 on Twitch I mean switch when people were reviewing the game a lot of people said that it's a lot like stardew Valley but you're literally just a cat and I love that the first line in the description says become a cat and I'm sold my whole life I've thought that I needed to be a cat instead of human because cats live amazing lives obviously if they're well taken care of they live these absolutely incredible lives where they get to sleep and relax and eat and they get fed and pet and yeah life is grand as a cat so I would love to be a cat I'm super sold I am ready to play this game so yeah go Cattails Wildwood story how adorable oh my soul it's so loud in my ear um I'm wondering if I should put this on down a little bit for you guys here it's so loud how adorable was that oh my gosh I'm so I'm so Keen I'm like super sold on this game already [Music] um so basically you have to build your Colony you have to fight and keep them safe you have to harvest things plant things you can have a relationship with another cat and have kittens and stuff it's it's adorable so it says welcome to the demo welcome in this demo you'll be able to play our your first 10 days in the Wildwood until the end of the first season which is spring so seasons are 10 days uh please consider wishing us on Steam and sharing our game with your friends please definitely do that um I think it's going to be great but we'll see and then obviously you can make an informed decision like I like to do some features are limited or not available in the demo that's perfectly fine the full game will launch quarter four 2023 and demos save files will not carry over so enjoy this game once again that's really sweet so Falcon developed um so yeah oh so this is it this is beautiful already um so the menu at the bottom is over here I just I love it when people change a cursor and look at this adorable cat Booker so I love it so much okie dokie so we're gonna start a new game obviously because I've never played this before uh this is my first reaction to the game and we're gonna play a new game let's go oh why would they um oh so that you can come back to it if you need to that's a that's amazing I really like that so we're just gonna start with a new game we can customize our cat what are we gonna call our cat or we're just gonna be um Panda Maybe oh no we don't want to be all capped oh e a n e a panda panda the cat uh enter cool I think you can type as well on the screen yeah you can you can just type on your keyboard as well if you want to so that's nice um and then obviously with the switch you can like tap on the screen as well so that's pretty cool maybe customizer appearance can we really oh cute this is so cute wait let's check out all of them blue so cute so we have white which is the standard that we have now we've got silver so cute we've got a gray one very cute we have a black cat I love black cat I know that some people don't um but yeah I really love blackout so cute we've got a brownie one we've got a creamy cat so cute oh I like very cute orange normally boys by the way uh Ruddy oh cute adorable gray and white I like that tuxedo why would you be a tuxedo cat orange and white cute silver tubby oh silver tabby or tuxedo and then we got a gray Tabby oh so for me it's between Ray Tabby a silver tabby and Tuxedo that's really tough I have accessories oh my gosh this is gonna take forever there's more coats there's three pages of coats oh they've got calicos too Tyler tortoiseshell black tubby blue tabby light brown tabby oh my gosh this is amazing um Siamese oh I love a Siamese cat they're super super smart as well new that's cool white Bengal can you make your oh you can make your own art wow that's really cool I don't know if I'm gonna make my own there's so many to choose from and I'm kind of happy for me it was between the gray Tabby the silver tabby and The Tuxedo but I mean if you give me a back tabby why not right so I think I'm gonna do panda colors you think uh okay we can we can make one sure we can make one toxic frog so what do we do the why do we make the Torso black yeah we would make the Torso fly and then the legs would also be black and the head would also be black and the tail would also be bright so um patterns we don't have any patterns we don't have any patches we technically do have on the face where are these patches oh I see stripes we don't want any stripes head Stripes no belly should be white uh Speckles no tail tip no point no muzzle nose should be black right and then the face should be white but I don't know how we're gonna do that like that oh how cute is that oh I'm liking this actually ears inner I know that pandas don't have pink in her ears but I kind of wanna oh [Music] why does it why doesn't it make it I'm trying to oh there we go okay I like this this is so cute and we call it Panda coat are we done wait hold on are we done no we still have one more pause also and the boys are white aren't they oh we can make it mismatched too [Music] oh that's cute front left we can do white front pores and black back pose if you want to as well this is so cute I like this I like that you can make your own as well I'll call this now [Music] panda and uh skin oh every time you press shift you have to press shift again to make it lowercase yes save it and the skin wear it oh that is adorable okay I'm super happy thank you thank you for suggesting that I do panda outfit so we have body type short hair short hair short hair upwards yeah happy tail we went to happy tail not a sad tail cat voice oh my gosh we could do that I prefer short haircuts to long hair cats so and pandas are technically short hair I guess innocence so we're gonna keep it at short hair I think but what do you think and then I went to happy tail which is an upper tail but we've got downward tiles fluffy up cute short stump bobtail curly pinked all upward like that downward fluffy up I I'm obsessed with the Fluffy up so we're gonna do fluffy up so we've got our catch cat voices [Music] I don't like this this is like an alley an angry alley cat I didn't hear this one [Music] so good [Music] I like that one I kind of like number 10 I think I'm Gonna Keep it to that that's really cute okay voice pitch [Music] whoa that sounds really freaky oh my gosh sorry I had to it had to be done [Music] I like that okay we'll do we'll do this one okay we haven't even started the game yet uh accessories you can get accessories there's a white flower Whiskers Whiskers or accessories that's interesting uh did you panda in the house yeah you know it uh face Cardinal I think a bell can we have multiples we can have them all oh my gosh we are so fabulous we can have them all amazing should we have all of them I don't like the face scar it you can barely see it though as well because of all the other things we put on uh I'm not talking on the white flower I'm not soaking on the glasses because I don't think it's very nice to the cats uh also I wear glasses so maybe I should put glasses will put glasses and whiskers uh and the color's so cute and the ball is so cute too oh it has little things as well a beautiful white bottom to sit atop your head round glasses smell around spectacles to wear on your face whiskers most cats have whiskers but these are thicker and more pronounced I see I like those girls they're super cute and then color a cute red color purchased by a human for their pet and a golden Bell hanging on a narrow chain I think that I'm really happy with this and there's only one page so far so we're gonna do that I'm not gonna do the flower are we happy not to do the flower or the face Scar and do absolutely everything else going ones going twice I think we're happy cool so we're gonna do this so let's say apply uh eye color um I really like the green eyes and cats uh and pandas can have green eyes too but like a deep green and technically my eyes are somewhat greenish so I'm happy with like a green um cool I think that that is it so we have our little Panda super cute uh I love that you can customize everything that's amazing spring five can it only be spring summer autumn winter winners our birthday gonna be hmm um my birthday oh it's very difficult growing up in South Africa my birthday was in the winter but now my birthday is in like smack dab the middle of summer so are we gonna go with now are we gonna go growing up maybe growing up so uh winter let's say I like the number eight so let's say winter eight uh so we can hopefully make lots of friends and then they can get us lots of presents okay cool select your game difficulty and other accessibility options you can change this later at any time from the in-game pause menu okay thank you uh I think normal difficulty in normal time passage is fine um leisurely 100 day length relax 50 day length the normal zero percent daily and quick minus 25 day length I see so normal is just normal day length I think that we should try that first I can't build a quick time succeed with perfect timing point to us a random chance of success immersive same as coin toss but no gy and no prey radius will show e and then default is QuickTime hmm do we want to succeed every time or do we want to have a coin toss to be a little bit more um realistic I I'm kind of leaning towards a coin toss [Music] um so I think I'm going to do coin toss but we can always we can always change this later they said random enemies whether or not random Roofing packs of enemies will spawn throughout the world we can do that that's fine so we can get the whole feeling of the aim arachnids and normal spiders and spider-like creatures will appear as usual alternative spiders and spider like creatures will appear as simple circles so I don't have an issue with spiders um so I'm gonna keep spiders on and then light flashes live flash visual effects such as a lightning during a thunderstorm though sensitive to Bright flashes of light should turn this setting off so I'm not super sensitive to the bright lights so I'm not going to switch this off but if there's anyone in the chat that has any issues then you can let me know uh and I can switch that off um and then please if you're watching the YouTube video Please be aware of this setting being on okay let's go I'm so ready I'm so ready for this do I have to read it once upon a time at three great cat colonies lived in a plentiful land sorry I wasn't sure if I had to read it or not for Generations they thrived hunting the critters of the region and harvesting the fruits of the forest that's amazing sometimes the colonies pickered and fought but each of their leaders shared a respect for the spiritual mediator of their world the forest Guardian much better than us isn't it we don't really respect our world do we terrible of us the word of the Guardian was law and all cats revered them from the sacred Temple the guardian kept the balance over the catlands working for the benefit of all that's really good the cats of the forest thrived that's great they played in The Meadows and ruled over the hills they built strong walls and gathered prey for winter but one fateful day Calamity struck oh no in an instant the temple was shattered a terrible earthquake tore the stones from their ancient resting places oh dear a horrible Rift was ripped open in the ground every cat shuddered with fear oh for cats worse than the destruction of the land was the fading of its Guardian oh no that's horrible with a weak voice the forest Guardian announced that the land was no longer safe for any cat a new home must be found and a new Temple must be bought or else the guardian Spirit would not survive oh dear then the spirit of the guardian flickered and vanished the frightened cats mourned and did not know what to do that's when Panda came in a great meeting was called and all the cats of the forest attended together they deliberated long over what must be done I like the music so cute the decision was reached that each cat should choose for themselves a leader to follow and set out to find new lands to settle interesting maybe some would have the strength to build a better life you panda a cat of Great Renown oh wow thank you offered to lead a group into the unknown and build both a new home and a new Temple wow that's so cool soon cats from every Colony took up your cold once enemy is now United once enemy is now United by a common cause you all set out to find a path of Earth to call your own they think I'm too slow with the reading you're like press e move on but the Wilderness is fraught with danger and there are threats on all sides oh no what will become of your Colony will you lead them into a prosperous New Era hopefully will you find the perfect place to build a home I hope so yeah only time will tell oh my God oh no this is so much pressure I don't know if I could take this pressure guys another day another campsite to establish this looks like a good uh looks like as good a place as any background and good hunting nearby according to the scouts this is Coco Coco's so cute Coco's so fluffy and then there is Little Stars over here I guess that that's how you improve your relationship with them uh if you well if you improve your relationship with them the Stars will go up I guess let's all work together to ensure that we have adequate shelter and food before it gets dark I really like this font with the little cue with the stripe through it I really like that it's really nice spark oh do we really have to set up camp again we just did that yesterday oh when are we gonna finally pick a place to settle down and stop moving all the time oh sorry spark we're gonna we're gonna figure something out okay I'm too tired to help out my balls are sore oh Jag will you quit your belly aching and lendable already the job won't ever get done with that attitude it's true if you change the way you look at things the things you look at change we'll settle down once we find the right spot haven't found anywhere no it's got the right resources to keep us going Panda will tell us when we've arrived isn't that right Panda guys that's a lot of pressure I don't know this is my first day of being a cat of course Panda will make an announcement once we find our new home for now we've got to keep looking we've all survived a difficult winter now that spring is here at last our luck May finally turn for the better I suspect it will soon uh this is Amber so we've got Amber and Spark that's so cute spark we really could use your help where are you going to sleep if the shelter is not built you're not my little kitten anymore you're an adult we all need you to pitch in if you want to be treated like one whoa that's rough hey Panda I'm going to uh to go out and hunt in the meantime do you suppose you could have spark feel better I think spark would cheer right up if they had some Valerian to energize them it's a pink herb that grows around here always puts a spring in my step I saw a huge cluster of valerian just south of here across the brook all right I'm headed out to find some dinner remember the Valerian is just to the South best of luck to you can we move around now is it our time to shine oh we're so cute can we jump oh okay space is attack it's not jump I wanted to jump but that's okay so we've got they've got little Shields next to them and I'm guessing that that's the um pack that they belong to or the glitter that they belong the group the colony colony maybe I think colony is probably the right thing so it's 4 P.M spring the first uh look at them looking at me that's so cute it's so cute and they sat down it's so cute okay uh fine Valerian to the South wasd to move how do we cross the oh there's little rocks whoa look at the water look at that reflection this is such a gorgeous game oh the arrow is pointing for us that's cool e to pick up amazing do we have an inventory that we can go to if you press tab we have Valerian in our mouth okay uh how do I remove the Valerian from my mouth talk to spark and gift the Valerian eat it all what's that smell smells like Valerian did you find some Panda I sure did would you consider maybe giving me a little I really think it would help my headache yeah of course oh you know what I'm feeling better when was the last time you had a bite to eat uh I don't remember it good thing you have that Mouse you should probably eat it now so you won't starve you can view your hunger bar in the lower left hand corner of the screen it looks like a fish oh that's adorable as you play your hunger bar will decrease over time you'll need to eat regularly so you won't take damage from starvation wow so it's a survival game as well that's cool first pick up the mouse with e then open your inventory with q and find the mouse press R to eat it okay uh pick up the mouse Q select the mouse and press R to eat it okay select Mouse and press r and here we get to see what everything is for your relationships task like code Studio so you can change everything there if you want to uh we can see there's Valerian cluster Cherry pink and white blooms increases your movement speed for a shortcut that's cool that's good to know uh oh look at the little fish that is adorable and then we have probably our health bar as well so it's like an old school kind of health bar that's cool that looked like it was tasty we don't cook it nothing we just eat it fresh remember to always pay attention to your hunger it isn't good for your health to go too long without a meal thank you all right we've done our duty I have the most bring what back with us what do you say we get back to the campsite and see how it's [Music] they're attacking me how do I regain health I did it I killed the ball I was just spamming spacebar antenna and the path to the campsite is open again I think when you defeated those Floyd Lane cats their shadowy wall went away too okay what do you think those things were why did they attack us we'll need to report this to the others they should know if there's danger around definitely especially if we have like little ones let's head back to the campsite and let everyone know what happened here okay what do we do with this Floyd marrow we got the money why did we get the money can cats you say how intriguing what a wondrous opportunity I would love to spot one for myself so I could research its behaviors and properties hmm I didn't see the name someone keeps calling me the good news is that Panda was able to defeat them as we stand a chance right whatever they are they aren't Invincible I sure would like to learn more about them before the next time we encounter one oh no that's so pretty and I love that they're changing you are gorgeous I cannot lung manifest my presence here but I have chosen this moment to appear before before you all with faithful news it's the but in like a really cool way you can view your equipped skills in the lower left hand corner of the screen left hand corner okay so where I am right now um find lions Roar and activate it to continue okay oh left oh sorry I don't know my directions apparently uh Anisha primer award that will close nearby avoiding cats and okay how do I equip it like that okay cool I guess I did a ride you have done well panda with time and experience you'll be able to improve your Lions Roar and use it to even greater effect I have every confidence that you will be able to overcome the challenges that lie large inventory while we've been journeying it's getting harder and harder to bring it with and when we move with me when we move I'm ready to stay in one place yes and it would be nice for me to have a sterile environment to treat my patients I could have a clinic again at long last this is crampy by the way why are you at all because doctor I guess so angry do you have any idea how hard it is to treat a wounded cat while on the road I actually do not but I can imagine that it would be Oh you mean all that work I did building the shelter was for nothing it won't even need it after tomorrow why can't you look at the bright side that this is the last time you had to build this shelter it's okay though I wouldn't mind having a real home again then it sounds like we're agreed next we should have Panda decide exactly which part of the Wildwood we should settle in I have the latest Scout reports right here these are the spots that we make for a suitable home which one will it be oh okay so we have a forest which is a spice Pine and Oak Woodland a welcoming and hospitable place to build a home okay then we have the meadow a gentle River Winds through this flowery feel that's really nice a swamp of mysterious swamp overrun with wild Willows and weeds hmm the beach and Inland Lagoon surrounded by sandy beaches and tropical vegetation and the dark basalt rock and flowing lava make very dangerous and in my uninviting local okay so I'm not gonna do the volcano I really like the forest I think that's a very good idea I think we're gonna do the forest so we can say settle here that looks like an ideal spot to settle great choice Panda thanks Coco now that we have a home we're starting to feel like a real Colony again what are we going to call ourselves oh no a colony name um uh tenacity recycled on of all other skills to zero so they can immediately be used once more but what about tenacity does it reset the cooldown of tenacity too or is that a little broken maybe that's a bit broken deep Cuts advise a wound to all nearby enemies damaging slowly over time I like that I like okay then we have Shield Focus your mind becoming invulnerable to damage and knock back for a short time that's really nice too uh then we've got Sweet Melody I'm a soothing lullaby healing all nearby allergy allergies allies over time we've got menacing fangs intimidate your enemies by burying your teeth such a small amount of Health from a nearby foe replenishing your own oh so we literally like vampire biting them like give me your health uh return home quickly Return To Your Den from anywhere in the world that's cool I like that Hunters gamble uh if your next pounce is a success you'll catch two prey instead of one but if it fails your target will instantly vanish man these are so nice uh Tiger's breath cool food and Unstoppable Unstoppable gust of energy that will travel in a straight line and hitting everything in its path wow Tiger's breath like dragon's breath that's pretty cute I like that [Music] summon allies Master several loyal allies to your side that's cool I like this kind of effect too like having more people to help you I'm either a support or like Hunter Vibes with like creatures fighting for me so that sounds like a great idea awarding scroll carve a powerful etching into the ground that will detonate when stepped across by an adversary that's cool and then obviously we already have lion's roar so the first time you get it you pay 50 points and the second time you have to pay 75 that's interesting okay then we've got diplomacy use in any map region to instantly gain a small amount of colony influence there that's really nice but I don't think we have to focus on this right now I don't think that's important uh not for right now anyway teleport a short distance forward that's really nice spectral Dodge I like the names for this as well behind deeper your presence is comforting to those around you used to gain a small amount of friendship points with little nearby cats it's so cute oh my gosh adorable oh it's like purple oh I like you wild slash launch your launch yourself into battle with a powerful slash capable of dealing extraordinary damage isn't that like a Charged attack or is it worse is it like stronger probably stronger than a charge attack and we've got botany your Advanced knowledge of plant dive allows you to quickly detect everything that is growing nearby and where to find it that's so cool I like that channel the power this is more to a wound channel the power of death itself Institute killing a randomly selected nearby foe whoa I thought this game was all like super cute and adorable and then it has stuff like this it's like really intense Nine Lives called upon the nine lives kind-hearted Sprites that may Aid you in your adventures okay that's pretty cute and then pine cone tossful several pointy pine cones that will damage the first thing they hit that's so cute okay I think for now I'm gonna go with something that's health related because the last time we had like a battle and stuff I was a little bit worried about the health and they haven't told us exactly how we can replenish our health so I'm kind of thinking rejuvenate is a good idea and then I think for our second one once we've got more stuff maybe we can do deep Cuts so that we can fight a little bit better and then every time we fight a little bit better we'll obviously get more experience and then we can get more points then we can get more skills and we can get all of that kind of stuff as well so as much as I would love to get but the what was it the magical Pearl or something the kind deeper because that is so freaking cute I think we're gonna go with rejuvenate [Music] um and oh that's really nice so it asks you if you want to do it which I really enjoy so that if you had like a mistake or something you can say no but yes I want to unlock it to unlock the new skill would you like to equip it now yes a spot this is the founder Stone from here you can manage all of the details of our clan let's see that's really cool you can move buildings view our stockpiles change administer details it's an important place for the lady the lady to visit often cool I guess I wanted to say leader but then yeah we're going to use the Founder's Stone to place the temple pick a spot any open plot will do this is the build menu use the mini interface or remove buildings paths decor and more place a temple building anywhere to continue Okay so map very sturdy Valley placing very sorry Valley I feel okay and comfortable to do this even though this is a lot of pressure from a lot of cats that need me to be in charge I can do this I got this so this is the temple okay but I don't know what everything else phone rang I picked up the receiver hello I said trying to sound older and more trustworthy when you're such a young an experienced detective like me you have to project an air of confidence look at the picture dude hello is this kitchen detective this is Mayor mittens oh it's just terrible just terrible the voice on the other end is clearly distressed I wonder what may have happened at the major mayor would call someone like me yes mayor I'm the kitchen detective is there a case that you need solved I'll get to the bottom of it I promise a little bit of showboating goes a long way in a landing in landing a case oh so dramatic I'm not nearly as self-assured as my words indicate but I have to try my best to get the job oh good when I looked at private detectives on the phone book I saw your name first so I figured I'd give you a call well that explains a lot it's the national catnip Bank they've been rough their votes are completely emptied out there's no catnip left the city is financially ruined unless you can track down not to worry mayor I can handle it leave it to me and I'll have this case closed in no time again I have no idea what I'm doing but the less the mayor knows the better oh that's just wonderful to hear I'm putting my trust in your pose kitchen detective make your city proud I hear a click on the other end the mayor must have hung up a burglary at the national account of bank this will be an interesting case and I can hardly wait to start tracking down the culprit to be continued that's so cool I love that let's see if we can give Coco something for their birthday uh where is Coco over there okay happy birthday uh let's chat it's funny how a birthday just feels like any other day I still have so much to do before I can relax a bit and to try the demo for yourself um check it out it's so cute I really like it I am so Keen for the full game to come out and once again it's coming out later this year 2023 um uh on Steam and it will come out next year 2024 on the switch so those are the two patterns that you can play it on which is great I will be playing it on Steam I have a switch but the games are a little bit expensive so this game is going to be uh 20 when it comes out um and I think that that is a very good price for it because I think it encompasses a lot and very sturdy Valley if you like Farm Sims live sims if you
