Speedrunning Your Stupid Mario Challenges

I asked you guys to send me your stupidest Mario speedrun challenges and somehow over 1 000 of you responded with some of the dumbest stuff I have ever seen art percent in between kingdoms you have to draw the next Kingdom then twitch chat has to fairly rate the drawing we're gonna start the run and the first Kingdom I'm gonna have to draw is Cascade and basically what number I get like how far away it is from 10 is how many extra moons will go yeah each drawing I'm only gonna be giving myself three minutes to make sure the Run doesn't go on for too long and the like add some pressure all right as soon as I put Cappy on The Wire I'm gonna start drawing Cascade Kingdom so we want to go with a normal brush color green I guess there's the water so we're gonna get the water in there all right all right and then like on the side of these it's like Rocky oh gosh I only I only have like a minute what the heck oh my gosh that's the waterfall all right pencil's down all right chat rate my drawing one out of ten I'm seeing some five sixes seven six I think the consensus is six so that means I have to get three extra moons four extra oh wait never mind you're right okay fine I'll get four extra moons chat I couldn't I couldn't scam you out of it I'd collected the nine moons I needed to finish Cascade Kingdom and continued to paint beautiful painting after beautiful painting but my twitch chat was merciless they didn't enjoy my avant-garde depiction of late Kingdom giving me my lowest score yet a three I needed a new strategy if I was going to win over their hearts it was bold but I think it might just work all right [Music] come on faster um there we go I'm done all I'm saying is chat photography is a form of art take that as you will all right do a do a poll because chat seems conflicted again a controversial piece of art both ten please please yes yes I did it I got a 10. the art world is shocked to my surprise it worked this would be my first and only artwork to get a 10 rating all night I'd continue to create more and more beautiful paintings but none of them quite incited the same spark in the judges I tried pandering to the audience and even dumb memes but none of it was enough I'd go on to finish the speedrun in one hour 54 minutes in 53 seconds ending my career as an artist mine a chunk percent you stop playing Odyssey and open up Minecraft and mine and Chuck I thought like this is clearly a joke I obviously I don't need to do this challenge how ever um I took that as a challenge and I may have reached out to a modder I may I'm a handcrafted chunk because I yeah you might be thinking well what do you do now well it's all breakable it's all breakable I could mine a chunk I can't get over this still I can't get over this still it's so it's so good oh my gosh we got coal we get the coal oh there's wait wait wait wait there's diamonds down there there's diamonds diamonds get the gotta get the diamonds but uh yeah all right we're almost done time time's almost here all right once we mine the last block that's time two minutes and 43 seconds that's like minor chunk world record by like 40 minutes or something three percent during cutscenes read the B Movie script off another screen so I don't think that'll really work too well as a challenge but this is a really stupid idea so how about I collect as many moons as possible while it reached the entire movie script in the background I'm going to admit this is the stupidest thing I have ever done on stream but the Run had already started and even though my viewership was lowering I had to still finish now I want to ask you do you know what the B movie is about buzz buzz buzz buzz awesome like these that's why they're saying Buzz it's about B cheese so this guy named Barry the bee doesn't want to follow the family honey business so he leaves the hive starts dating this real human girl and decides to sue Humanity for stealing their honey yeah I don't know but I did collect 114 moons during it so uh good for me I guess subscribers sent everyone watching your video has to subscribe as you finish cap Kingdom well I'm waiting idea every Bonk the game crashed so yeah um if I Bonk or take damage in a way that it triggers a bonk the game crashes it's as simple as that so I guess don't Bonk or take damage play the game like I normally would there's nothing to be afraid of absolutely nothing I hate this because I like I'm seeing just how close I am getting to all these different walls it's just like if I'm slightly off I mean that's really all I need to do to Bong we're in wooded now still no box if I'm just gonna be honest I think this Kingdom might be the kingdom it finally happens no no no no no no no this is actually bad I have to do flooded pipe way now I don't want to do that one that's hard foreign [Laughter] that counts yeah like like I mentioned um taking damages Mario does play the Bonk animation I'm not I'm not going back in that room I'm I'm finding a different mood I refuse hey I'm doing all right [Music] pointed In fairness a lot of people do Bonk there [Music] I was just trying to do the fast strap for the pipe oh whatever whatever whatever at least I got the moon I don't have to go back in there wait it didn't count the moon I was just a little bit too high there and missed the moon I would have bonged [Music] the absolute worst part about that one is because I knew it was coming and there was nothing I could do okay so really I don't think I Bonk anywhere else in the Run maybe I'll eat my words but I don't know if I will [Music] what what you can't tell me that was a bunk that was not a bunk there's no way look at that look you can't tell me I bonked there all right we're grabbing this checkpoint just in case all right now that we're in Bowser I don't think there's any way the game can crash I think we're as good as done all right finished and 118 37 that is another challenge done American Healthcare percent basically the same as a regular 80 run but with the following caveat instead of losing 10 coins upon death you lose a thousand alright so if this works the way it's supposed to when I die oh that is fantastic you are a Goomba yeah they just all they wrote is you are a Goomba so um yeah we're just gonna play as much of Mario Odyssey as as a Goomba which I have no idea how much of Mario Odyssey that actually is so we gotta actually be able to capture him first all right so we have Cappy now so we can spawn in the Goomba bam so when I get to a spot like this where it's very clearly like hey I needed to be Mario we'll just get out of the Goomba and then get back in I really don't know how this is gonna go something I have no clue how it's gonna work is like we're coming up to topper right what's gonna happen when I try and buy a Topper with a Goomba will I even be able to do it because I I don't know I have no idea oh my gosh I can I can that's great [Music] oh my gosh all right so I think the sand kingdom is the part where stuff is actually gonna start to get interesting because now everything is open-ended and I can basically force myself to always be in the Goomba and still get a good amount of moons so like here I can probably get that Moon up here up there without getting out of the Goomba this might be a bit hard though maybe an easier way to climb up yes okay and there we go man a lot of the moons in this game are still like I feel like I need to uncapture to get them but we'll we'll see what other sort of stuff I can get first I just made a realization and I regret it uh I can get this Moon as a Goomba I hate this I hate this so much this might take a while yeah but I want to get as many moons per Kingdom as a Goomba as I can but I don't want to like try and take a shortcut now I just gotta get it up the stairs and around the one pot there we go let's go if there's anything I've worn from this challenge it's like getting moons as a Goomba is incredibly and painfully slow I was surprised however at just how much I could still accomplish this one time to answer the question can you beat Rango as a Goomba okay [Music] okay I bounce on this I can okay let's go oh no I'm gonna die but this is definitely this is definitely possible okay okay we gotta we gotta hit this like right away all right a a and there oh I missed I missed I missed I missed I missed there we go as I made it into Metro Kingdom I really started to push the limits of what might be possible like take this sub area for example you'd think it'd be impossible to beat a zaguma we've got the momentum and Rhythm we're past the the Moon come on yes I did it it's possible I knew it snow Seaside Rune and Bowser's Kingdom ended up being pretty uneventful because of how much you're forced to uncapture the Goomba even Moon Kingdom a large section of moon cave I had to uncapture the gun before some sections were still surprisingly possible but by the time I made it to the Bowser fight the Run might as well have been over because you have to uncapture the Goomba to beat him anyways overall this was a pretty cool challenge to try albeit a bit awkward because of how much I had to cheat to even be able to finish Mario honestly but you can't touch the right stick so this one is actually impossible because you can't get up at the beginning of the game without moving the right stick I still however wanted to see what Odyssey without camera controls would be like having put way too many hours into the game it just feels so weird to let the camera do its own thing like it wasn't hard it's just there's times I felt like I was looking at the ground way too much or had to ask what the camera was even trying to do nevertheless I was still able to finish the game in one an hour 23 minutes and 7 Seconds every time you take damage the controls get more sensitive so this will be interesting so if you don't know something about me is I have a lot of experience damageless Mario Odyssey so hypothetically I could probably beat this whole thing pretty easily however I want to go faster so I'm going to start off with one damage so I can save time that's my thought process at least alright so chat I want to just run everywhere but unfortunately running feels like it's still slower than rolling you know what I I want to go faster I I think this is fast enough I don't I don't think we need to manually go any faster than this I like this speed it's pretty good so yeah we might end up regretting this decision to take intentional damage but I I think it was worth it like look at how fast I go this is great all right Rango time and we've already taken our next hit okay okay be careful we don't wanna take more all right we're a bit faster now though manageable I would I hope oh this is still manageable you know maybe I shouldn't have done two hits in the beginning to go faster that'll be it'll be fine it'll be fine we need two more moons let's do flooded pipes you know this is a really bad idea actually I've done this I'll take like one damage Max and then there's there's the one damage see it's it's fine I needed I needed the Moon [Music] you're kidding me I hate his hitboxes that shouldn't have counted that's that's cheap this is why you shouldn't have purposely taken damage no I I stand by my purposely taking damage that was a good idea no it wasn't you guys are just haters that's what you are like a look this is a buff if anything look at how far I jumped like chat watch this [Music] you can't tell me that the two intentional damage were a bad idea I mean honestly if anything I think it's good I've taken damage like five times honestly I don't see why I don't just go out of my way to take more damage at this point it's only been a net positive oh no oh no never punished the speed is a buff like I've been saying zero consequences honestly yeah give me that damage I want to go faster optimal would have been a lot of death oh geez I just realized if I it's fine I needed the extra speed if I die in lava that's three damage [Music] well there's the there's the three damage it's it's fine it's fine it's fine it's fine it's fine it's fine it's fine I've never been punished for going fast before like this how can you look at this and think it's a bad thing like look at that I can jump all the way over to the the building all right I think here in the ruined fight we're gonna finally have like a good perspective of how fast we are actually and you know it's pretty fast because it would just be boring if I oh my gosh ah it looks so funny when I try and Crouch like like look at this too much fun no the extra speeds it's fine it's fine oh my gosh we're just so fast all right just grab the moon I don't want to do that fight again all right I'm a bit worried about the topper fight because I have to actually like do precise jumps here yes if I'm like really careful oh okay that's one hit this is not the situation I wanted to be in oh that's him that's him that's him that's him come here come here please please no that um okay well we're two hits faster now honestly though I need to be faster chat too fast I'm not fast enough what do you mean we can we can go faster I need this this is what we've been needing see how could you have known game I did want to take more damage do you look the fight's so easy now I can just go like you and I'm back on uh oh we fell it's fine the mech can't catch me oh frick I needed the speed it was it was an intentional intentional intentional all right and then we climbed back up and we take it out with the pokeo every time realistically this this mod should be called every time I take damage I get stronger for her this is an intervention what do you mean we're almost done I'm unstoppable you guys are just afraid of me afraid of the power I've gr I've gained and here you were at the beginning of the Run thinking like fur you shouldn't have taken those two hits of damage you're gaining too much speed I know it's time to find out if we have enough perfect I'm coming Bowser you can't stop me hey Bowser [Music] don't say it you're not too fast you needed you needed to be faster you can't stop me now Bowser I've become too powerful I think you can stop me with a little fire attack oh it's much too slow yeah I'm sorry Bowser don't know if that's gonna work probably thinking like oh you're much you're too far away you can't I can't you can't hit me all on the contrary it smells like Hubris in here what do you mean I beat the fight this has been a run and time 118 43 Super Mario Odyssey but if I take damage I become more powerful I mean faster whatever
