foreign [Music] a year and a half ago I hoped that someday I'd be able to review a piece of technology before it was released to the general public and I'm excited to say that my YouTube channel has finally reached that level soundcore reached out to me a couple of weeks ago and asked if I'd be interested in reviewing their new Liberty for NC headphones and I'm excited to share my thoughts with you over the past year there's been quite a few brands that have asked if I'd review their products on my channel and I tried to be really cautious when I do this because I want the products I share with you to be a really good value and also really good quality so when soundcore reached out I was pretty intrigued since I've used quite a few anchor products over the years and anchor is the parent company of soundcore so to start out I'd like to thank soundcore for sponsoring this video Let's jump right into it taking these headphones out of the box I was immediately impressed by the black color I really like matte black Tech products and I feel like these headphones look really good in matte black there's a small button on the front of the case and when you press it some type of magnet mechanism is released and the case opens up which is really cool presenting you the headphones in a really cool jet black interior that contrasts the matte black of the outside of the case really really well when you open these headphones in the dark it looks just like when you open up a car door and the lights illuminate to show you the inside I think this is a super cool feature and I've never seen it on another pair of headphones there are quite a few different size ear tips in the box and I was able to quickly find one that fit the size of my ear really well it gave me a really good seal and it was the type of seal that isn't broken even once I start working out and getting a little bit sweaty they've stayed in my ears super super well and with an IP X4 rating you don't have to worry about running in the rain or getting any sweat on these they'll be just fine the earbuds themselves are a pretty cool design that match the same theme going on with the case where you you've got a matte black stem but the underside of the earbuds themselves are kind of that jet black finish looks really really cool and holding them up side by side with my airpods Pro they're honestly really similar in size but somehow sound core has managed to stuff a much larger battery into that same amount of space which actually has increased the battery life dramatically speaking of that battery inside these headphones are rated for 10 hours of normal use on a single charge and eight hours with noise canceling turned on and I've gotten really close to those numbers several Saturdays in a row and I've left them in all day working out working in the yard doing tasks around the house the battery life has been incredible and when you pair that with the case you'll get multiple charges which will last you honestly close to a week if you're a pretty casual user like me one of the things I really like about these is they charge over USB type-c unlike my air pods so I've got plenty of USBC cables around so it's quickly accessible to charge and the case also has wireless charging built in so the wireless charging pads I have placed around the house make it really easy to just set them down and get a full charge in my opinion they look great and they have excellent battery life but you're probably thinking none of that matters if the sound isn't very good and in my opinion the sound is excellent I played multiple songs back to back on several different pairs of earbuds including my airpods Pro and time and time again I've been really impressed with the full sound of the Sound Cores I'm no audio file but the way that I've tested these headphones has basically been playing a song and switching back and forth between other headphones I own and I've been really really impressed the sound is honestly really good very full and has very rich bass I wanted to make sure that I wasn't crazy in thinking that the sound was better than my airpods so I actually put a blindfold on my wife and on my sister and play place the earbuds in their ears and played the same song back to back with each pair of headphones and both my sister and my wife said that they preferred the sound course sound to my airpods Pro which honestly I agree with I'd also like to mention that for the price the noise cancellation on these headphones is really good and does a decent job blocking out most noise the one thing I will say about sound though especially when comparing them to my airpods is that the transparency mode on these headphones isn't quite as good on my airpods it's almost seamless where I can hear all of the environment around me these headphones are a little bit more selective and actually work really well for conversations and voices but the little noises around me I don't pick up quite as clearly speaking of sound modes these headphones do have three different modes a normal mode noise cancellation and transparency mode you can switch between each of the modes by pressing and holding on the side of the headphone or you can do it in the sound core app the soundcore app is actually really cool and has a few features that I haven't seen in any other earbuds one of my favorites was this ear profile which basically plays a bunch of different sounds at different volumes in the headphones and asks you how well you can hear it or if you can hear it at all and it tailors the EQ settings based on the listening profile in your ears and after I completed the process of setting this ear profile up it actually made the sound and the headphones even better than it already was it was pretty cool there's also an ear seal test to make sure you've got the right ear tips in which is a feature I've seen on a few other pair of headphones but it's actually really useful one other thing I want to mention is that these headphones do support Bluetooth 5.3 which basically means you can have them connected to multiple devices at the same time so for example with my airpods I love switching between my iPhone and my Mac um the feature doesn't work exactly the same way but since I can connect to both my phone and my Mac at the same time you don't have to go through into bluetooth settings and switch between the two it kind of does it automatically which is great overall I've been really impressed with these headphones as I've tested them over the past couple of weeks the sound is excellent the battery life has been great and I love that deeper bass which adds a whole new level to my music when I listen to it time and time again throughout the past couple weeks I've been picking up the Liberty fours instead of my airpods Pro which honestly to me says a lot oh yeah I think I forgot to mention that these headphones are just 99 bucks which is a steal for the value you're getting if you have any questions leave them right below the Subscribe button down below and thank you again to soundcore for sponsoring this video
