Sony FX30 Long Term Review | Pros&Cons of Having it

about one year and four months just passed since I grabbed this camera fx30 since then this worked worked and worked as a hell as a camel crossing the goby desert I shot a tons of shot in both of YouTube and client shooting works you know documentaries sport Adventure a lot of them while I was having a crazy busy life with this fx30 some new cameras like a6700 fc2 or born and now it's even harder to choose the one which works best for you especially if you want to start the videography seriously in 2024 you will face the big question is fx30 best for me is fx30 still worth buying in 2024 I got you man I am super confident about this you know topic about this deep you know review because I've been using this more than anything so today I'm going through five pros and a few cons of having fxd watch this video Until the End you will find your answer PR number one is that fxd is absc camera what I just heard what from all over the world in many different languages but yeah seriously the huge benefit of absc cameras is that you can use use both off full frame and APC lenses there's a video about it dive deep in that so when you try to use APC lenses on fullterm cameras you're going to have to have the vignette like this it's durable but it's not the best but on APC cameras you can use fullframe lenses without any problems although the focal length will be 1.5 times tighter but that's just it afia still works amazing and there is no obvious image quality degradation compared to you know when it's on fullframe cameras so I believe I said this before but fx8 can be the Casual easy vlogging setup with small compact APC lenses but also it can be the serious film making setup with Sigma art Prime and you know G Master prime lenses since I use this camera for everything I do so I really appreciate you know this you flexibility and I think this benefit can be huge for you too so the another huge PR of fx3 is the film making for ergonomics okay just look at how my hands are comfortable to hold this camera all buttons and dials are placed perfectly like this shatter button lever and C1 are for my index finger and this recording button C2 C3 the joystick are for my thumb also those buttons at the back are for my thumb too like when I hold a camera my thumb is naturally close to to this recording buttons and also when I control other buttons my fingers just move smoothly everything is designed super well for shooting videos there's no waste in operating this camera and here is the another detail but this has a two memory card slots and each can accept both of CF Express and SD card I shoot a ton in just one shooting job so my data will be just massive so this CF Express is kind of necessary for me okay so were you waiting for me to talk about image quality well honestly I don't think I have a tons of things you know to talk about it because obviously this has you know high level image quality and we already know that right so today I'm not talking about like you know that 6K over something braah braah braah those kind of stuff just watch this simple FX stud review video you know actually there isn't something I really specially love about this image quality it's pretty normal well that might make you misunderstand in other words there is a not a obvious weakness this can do many things at the very high level but each of them is not unique like Lumix has a great color production A7 S3 has a crazy low light performance you know fx30 doesn't have something that can beat other cameras but you know this can do each stuffs at more than like eight out of 10 it's just so all round them there you know you want that stable shooting ability for some professional shooting works so more than image quality I feel this is a bigger benefit of fxd which is the video performance for pro first of all this has a high resistance for overheating I do a lot of long time continuous shooting like this type of like talking head shot or you know YouTube live streaming no matter how long I keep shooting this has never overheated yet you know a6700 has the pretty much same video spec as this fx30 but it kind of easily overheat when I was kept shooting like 1 hour it actually you know didn't shut down because of the heat but it showed the warning so I don't feel secure about shooting for a long time with that camera so about that I really trust this camera and the L feature recent Sony cameras like a6700 7 C2 can handle the user custom lot so that you can see the actual color result when shooting unlock but not all cameras can do that this fx3 has it of course and I can't live without it CI EI this might not huge for all of you but when you shoot in the situation where uh it has the perfect lighting setup you know 100% controlled this NE can bring the most you know log shooting performance out from the camera and of course super reliable autofocus recently I used use LX S5 2x which I'm using right now as many as this fx30 but nothing is like this autofocus it's super easy to use but it provides you the pretty much best autofocus performance in the market right now it's not about the speed it's all about accuracy when I'm not capable of controlling the focus this camera helps me every time you know I don't remember how many times this saved a shot me the whole project this has that good autofocus hat off and Pros number five is that this has a great photography performance yeah I know I can feel you guys are saying like what the hell is this guy talking about but hold on this is the video camera like imagine other video cameras like black magic 6K or some handy cams they don't shoot a good quality photo but this fx30 can shoot decent 26 megap Raw photos although it doesn't have a continuous shooting mode but it's pretty enough for you know Street running a gun style portray or product shooting yes it's definitely less than a73 or a74 but I think this photography performance is enough and good for videographers okay at the last let's talk about cons of fx3 although there are only two things the thing I'm not that satisfied with is the 4K 120 FPS qualty it's okay but when I compare to 4K 60 FPS of a74 it looks a little rough especially there's a sort of color noise on Shadow even there is a light enough it tends to get a little noisy like this maybe apsc sensor is related I don't know but anyway I don't use this feature that much so it's not going to be the huge deal for me but yeah 4K 120 FPS quality is not the best and second honestly I don't like this wheel I control ISO by this but it is shallow too soft I don't know why but you know I often happen to push right or left when I you know you use his wheel in my case right is peaking and left is zebra so when I just want to control ISO but I push them by mistake and this doesn't happen in other cameras maybe my copy doesn't have a good quality wheel on not I'm not sure if everyone thinks in the same way but at least yeah I hate this wheel but yeah that's pretty much it I can't find other cons of this camera so far so that means this is pretty you know the perfect for my knees okay this is it how many of you guys like this camera Sony fx30 do you already have it or are you thinking about buying this camera let me know in the comment below but I really recommend this camera to even people who are about to get their first camera even though they are complete beginnner because I can't find the proper reason not to choose this it's about $1,800 but you can get more than money you pay but if you shoot photos as much as videos then go for Sony a6700 that camera has pretty much same video performance as this camera except that doesn't have a video specialized uh build quality and it got so much better photography performance than this is Sony fx3 still worth buying in 2024 hell yeah 100% the meaning of existence the reason why shoe exist why the boot exist the reason why the pencil exist why the marar exist even though they are similar each other they have a different meaning of the existence we need to recognize it to own and experience things you will find your answer when you hit the
