So I played Golden Light (Reverse Prop-Hunt)

golden light has plenty of gold cash for gold.com but not a whole lot of light that's a lie just to look at the serene sky the luscious waving grass the sweet sounds of doritos being crushed underneath your feet and perhaps the brightest light to illuminate the universe your faithful girlfriend she beautiful name bib but could you stop making orgasmic moans for a singular nanosecond so trashy clearly i'm the romantic one in this relationship welcome to the meat zone please keep in mind that this game is e-a it's early access i think if i review the game i have to nitpick this and get upset that's a flower inside of the saxophone that's not a saxophone you prick so things may be subject to change perhaps next week they'll update the game and it'll be converted into a text adventure i don't know basically don't blame me but as of right now it's a reverse prop hunt survival horror roguelike first person shooter is that enough descriptive adjectives for you it's a rupert shield fps yeah let me break that one down you navigate around various different ships and the question marks within those ships could be items eye with fingers also phallus weapons or keys that kind of look like golden nuggets orbiting around a camera flash but you need those to zip out of that nice just so you can do it all over again however it's not a walk in the cake a piece of park there do be baddies this is where the prop hunt descriptor comes into play except it isn't for babies in janky religion video game you know hunt prop prop hunt you okay all right then a [ __ ] stool is sliding about that's a [ __ ] planned part hello i don't wanna [ __ ] okay okay this game i think you get the idea if you do manage to escape if you do manage to escape alive you've earned the privilege of remembering what the items actually do wait what the good is a strange place the walls here are constantly shifting items are changing yesterday i hit a fish head and it healed me today i ate another one and it poisoned me this message on the introductory level sets the tone for what's to come other than the area between my legs basically you can sum up the items with plus the author of this note got lucky heels poison that wasn't how my first fish head went no i hit the fish by accident now i'm on fire i didn't mean to i press f for flashlight oh [ __ ] okay am i dying legit i'm legit dying i'm actually dying this was my first taste of consequence i don't trust eating any item now like they've broke my trust it's a blind risk versus reward system similar to the pills in the binding of isaac except it's not just medication it's all sorts of tumor-riddled designs such as eye with fingers also phallus blocks head glued to a snail bat head abortion gang green flesh taco and i i pull iple i kinda like this one it reminds me of my channel mascot thing i think a lot of the stuff in this game does actually all of these deformed ball bags come with various status effects all the might just explode explosion have explored there are other items too but despite the unique look of the items because of the randomization they lack their own practical identity at least in the long term it's all just visual i do kind of be liking that though nothing means anything everything can be anything it's the type of chaotic energy that has slapped my sausage over the uncertainty of what anything does kind of amplifies the horror aspects ngl i mean imagine in a survival horror game low hp you're about to get your [ __ ] parted like the red sea you have one healing item except it doesn't heal you it slaps your girlfriend's backside then points and laughs whilst you wither aware i just described golden light oh [ __ ] it they're coming after me thanks thanks thanks magenta thanks thanks no bullets no bullets what to do that's fire i [ __ ] myself so hard i'm gonna have actually sum up 1g oh no no to be clear it doesn't always go sour and there are a few ways of figuring out what they actually do what are you regeneration eat eat child destroy the child how did i know this intel well there are a couple of methodologies for figuring out what the item effect is you can fling it eat it or you can read like a nerd please don't break up with me but yeah the pages scattered around sometimes give you valuable information it can heal [Music] it can heal meat apple it inflicts fire it tastes just like chicken there it is that's the valuable information i want you to kiss meat absolute filth i can't be dealing with this smut but fortunately that's fine because if you don't like what you're reading you can just catapult that literature into the shadow realm eat golden i'm not sure if this was a glitch or intentional but i soiled my crutch hammock either way so [Music] they see a picture is worth a thousand words so let's drop the notes and look at this photograph because some of them are worth more than a thousand words they're worth 60 fingers maybe you'd prefer nine legs mementos give new powers or problems you never know yeah there it is as you'd expect it's once again a risk slash reward system the night of the deadly meet there are fewer of them but of course there's a butt and it's not the fun kind here's another one that's good with a catch you see more things but sometimes they are not what they seem well at the time i didn't feel like having hallucinations and i thought you had a choice to back out if one memento pops up no that's it that's your option lactose intolerant too bad consume malk oh [ __ ] sick sometimes they're useful you are a maniac with an axe sometimes they're useless in your current situation ammo is pouring from your fresh wounds oh that sounds good okay i'm all for dying i don't need ammo for an axe occasionally they can fix your insecurities huge chin this one be cool too nose with teeth a giant nose has grown on top of my nose but my absolute favorite has got to be thief toys just roll into your pockets you don't come to the items the items come to you it's gotta be said this memento is pretty key anywhere yeah you can either find the mementos scattered around randomly or you can beat them out of she oh it's the woman my girlfriend [ __ ] it off oh [ __ ] what's this nice generally speaking there are two weapon types melee and second amendment there's also a rotten pizza that blocks some incoming damage and maps which can slap occasionally you'll reach second squared amendment and stumble on a gun glued to a gun glued to another gun there's double the reticle and yes it wastes more ammo but it just feels good it really greases the gooch as with the items the weapons have an assortment of randomized effects for example you can acquire something useful like fire pistol or a weapon with regeneration so that whenever you attack the enemy it heals them wait that doesn't sound very useful until you realize that there is a dedicated attack yourself for button ah but i'm regening now you see also i have a feeling it's not just the weapon enchantments that are random is the name of the axe horny cowl nice the previous owner was fond of boomerangs bonnie harry okay an obese ammo count or using miller isn't gonna save you from oh [ __ ] limited durability oh no you can fix this by either throwing coins at this sad hunchback that needs a hug multiple actually just uh try not to accidentally tickle him with your weapon or um uh i thought you i thought we were friends or you can just eat a repair weapons item that is if you're sure that it's gonna repair your weapons you already know how this russian roulette system goes if you really want to make the most out of your weps ignore an apple a deer keeps the doctor aware and it's very flavorful you get that little bit of crunch here my diet a little unconventional object i've shoved up my mouth pipes axes pistols all part of a balanced breakfast in some games you press f to pay respects in this game you hall def to eat your map uav has been destroyed eating weapons is a way to restore health and it's my personal favorite method of cheesing my wear out of situations where is it if you are gonna take on this meal plan just keep in mind the status effects really i shouldn't have done it there are a couple of special weapons for a while i thought these were a myth seriously shotguns are more powerful that would be great if i could find one get a lord of this after 20 hours i finally did it i finally found one oh wait it's a bad guy pretending to be the weapon how [ __ ] cruel is that 26.5 hours into the game there it is that's how long it took before i finally actually found a shotgun so after all that anticipation is it any good it's pretty good no where i have found the thompson it has been 20 hours i've got like one elf it's good [Laughter] it's too thompson stuck to each other it's [ __ ] sick okay oh my god it's it's the thompson it's a special weapon oh it's right there not this time thomas i have yet to stumble on the blunderbuss but there is another weapon worth mentioning that is utilizing traps effectively right we're off to a good start compared to before we're off to a [ __ ] star yeah maybe not like that oh nice brand players it's a [ __ ] book kiss obviously high iq intelligence wrinkly brains is required i tried to bit them into the traps that i [ __ ] killed myself i'm smart i promise i thought that was a ladder i was about to try and climb it since we've covered items power-ups and weapons it's worth mentioning quickly that unlike a lot of other roguelikes this game doesn't have a traditional progression unlock system which some people may not be happy with but new environments with new bits and bobs and baddies what the [ __ ] is that do open up as you progress time to gush about the strongest part of the game atmospheres i've already discussed the uncertainty of items enemies disguised prepared to tongue punch your [ __ ] slit and weapons divorcing you these all add to the tension but here's a few other things the sound design it's bonkers there are noises here that just don't really fit with anything or belong anywhere why is there a train indoors there are in fact zero tank engines in golden light it's just familiar sounds in unfitting places it's uncanny valley mind games here's a couple of my personal favorite fantastic frequencies man having a furious wank whilst using cans of paint as a drum set [Music] when you pause the game and it sounds like a dog has fallen asleep next to you spider that needs a therapist the usage of ambiguous language and word structure is just remarkable i'm on five floor it's dark here and smells rust the music bangs [ __ ] [Applause] bike there really is a cast of quirky characters there's a toilet hello toilet our wounds are healed and my hands smell like [ __ ] thank you the enemies might be a bit dense sometimes but that behavior just makes them that little sprinkle stranger what is he playing at is he all right he's just assaulting the map he looked and banged the boss designs are also interesting these spikes coming at me through the ceiling that's a trap right no that's a boss [Music] the [ __ ] clutch after each boss you collect body parts to try and frankenstein she back together but you also lose everything and forget the item effects and stuff it's a clean slate into the next area basically it can be pretty difficult but if you really want to challenge you could let your stream chat control parts of the game i think it's three keys now oh [ __ ] you what have you guys done what is happening [Music] [ __ ] this you know what i'm gonna do i'm gonna eat my pistol for the big brain move and just run that's what i'm gonna do wow suck my balls chat there's three of them there's a lot there's lots of them you've put those there there's like 20 traps there's loads look at all the they're like everywhere on the floor what have you done as you can
