SMALLEST Class A Motorhome you could LIVE IN!

hey everyone i'm matt welcome back to another video today i am super excited we are taking a look at what in my opinion is the smallest classic gas motorhome that i think you could full time in this is a 2022 jayco precept model 31ul we are gonna take a look at the outside features first and the inside features then we're gonna give you three things we love about this jayco and three things we dislike about it we're starting in three two one hey everyone again welcome back to another video my name is matt from matt's rv reviews it's the world sewing channel giving you a true and unbiased review about every rv that we see in the rv industry and again today i am super excited to be taking a look at this jayco preset but before i begin i would like to say hi to andrea hey andrea hi everybody how's it going it's going good you know we are here at tampa um rv one of tampa yes and we thank them so much for letting us be here we really appreciate it and we are just having a good time awesome thank you so much for coming in today we appreciate it andrea let's begin model is jayco precept31ul the actual tip length of this motorhome is 33 feet long this is the precept it is jayco's middle of the road class a gas motorhome what's really interesting is uh jayco and integra they're sisters right so for the alante they have the vision for the precept integra makes division xl and for the preset prestige integra makes the emblem what's very unique is they'll all make the same floor plans except this one you can only get the 31 ul in the precept you cannot get it in the integra version pretty interesting huh yeah up front here we do have a nice big windshield full body paint is the option i think it looks fantastic and i love these headlights i like how smooth it is it's pointy and aggressive looking and with that led light right there i just think it gives it a really good look coming on down the side here and because this is a jayco it does have the j ride plus which is a computer balanced driveshaft system making this one of the best riding class saves on the market today right here chrome mirrors left side and right side with cameras integrated in the mirrors i love that it does have the new 7.3 liter v8 engine it is the godzilla engine 350 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque look at these tires draining the michelins 235-80 are 22.5 with these shiny alcohol rims love that coming on down the side here we do got nice storage okay fiberglass doors but they're slam latch doors pretty paint i like the paint job on here yes very full body paint is beautiful more storage down there pass through yes and then more storage here i love the material that they use in it also it does have frameless windows throughout the whole motorhome also there's the power awning with led lights coming on down the side here you've got a battery tray propane quick connect in case you want to have a grill and there's your propane tank in here bing is all the specifications about this motorhome interesting that the tv's all the way down here yeah it sure is up and it is locked here's the tv big tv with sound bars more storage and then andrea that is a instant hot tankless water heater and i love how they painted it so it blended in with the motorhome so it's not a big eyesore i love that coming around the back we do have a nice bumper for your stinky slinky uh 5 000 pound hitch this motorhome can tow 5 000 pounds and you do have a backup camera there also we do got a ladder to get up on the one piece fiberglass roof let's go up there and take a look wow i don't know about that one hold on here we go up here on the roof you can see it's a nice one-piece fiberglass roof not one but two conditioning units solar panel right there already installed and there's your wine guard digital antenna oh my goodness last step if you haven't already make sure everyone smashes that thumbs up button what are rv salesman's taking his fat ass up on the roof showing you what features the roof has to offer nobody nobody finishing up here's where you fill up your unleaded fuel more storage 50 amp power cords there very clean nice organized wet bay i love this isn't that nice that's very simple and i love how it doubles the storage as well great touch right over here your black and gray tank dump onan 5500 gas generator america and then more stores here and here the other side yes okay very nice and then over here just a little bit more storage okay well andrea the outside of the motorhome looks great but it is the inside that looks even better let's go take a look matt you're wearing blue to match the uh jacob i do what i can all right don't forget the cargo carrying capacity you ready for this yes one guess go ahead oh man exact number 24 47.42 wow i'm always off yeah but at least you're off in the wrong direction that's crazy that's a lot of cargo it sure is all right slide is in everybody slides are in slides are in i am walking through to go up front here to the cab and i'm carefully walking so i don't stub my toe and okay so as you can see a very little walkway here but doable and then it opens up right here and gets a lot more spacious yes and yes you can open the fridge with the slides in here is the bathroom and i actually am happy to see that the bed is on the slide but you can still use it with the slide now andrea wow in the intro i said this in my opinion this is the smallest class a gas motorhome that you could full time in here's what i mean you can full time in whatever you want you can full time in a pop-up folks but this unit's giving you the bigger chassis 22.5 inch tires a high cargo carrying capacity and three slide outs in such a small package doesn't that make a huge difference it does it's it's very spacious when you open it up perfect andre we're starting up front here all right so up front here it does have the new 7.3 liter godzilla engine nice new modern steering wheel cup holder here andrea equalizer auto leveling power shades and everything's right there in the push of a button you can see what's going on up there here's your sony x-series xm radio bluetooth apple carplay android auto and then look look at this nice grip area right here perfect place to have your cell phone actually that's a perfect place for our cat yes yes absolutely and then andrea we do got cup holders here and another place for a cell phone yes and both these seats do swivel yes ma'am and there is a pedestal table that goes in the middle there absolutely and yes it's actually very comfortable good good um you got a computer tray here yes workstation and we got electrical outlet cup holder and a place for your phone i actually really like that because it looks like you have a ton of leg space i do and it doesn't look like you're cramped and we do have cabinets right here yes ma'am very nice double very nice lights yep and then we got cabinets right above here okay oh man more storage okay one store yes but there is storage there and then we do have this awesome bunk over the cab andrea here we go now don't forget seat belt yes 750 pound max andrea you are 100 right isn't that amazing it is and it's a great size yeah right up here and it's actually pretty comfortable because it has these the the spring here yes yes platform exactly and then right there it's like little bars to make sure people don't roll off you got your table pedestal there and a ladder right there very very nice feature in everything then it goes all the way up and then when it is help andrea again as people saw when you plug it in to the seat belt there or whatever belt uh then it won't come down on you so it's like a safety mechanism and then over here in the living room andrea we do have the nice farmhouse cabinetry i love the way that looks check out the balances andrea do you like them i see them do you like them no oh okay just making sure right here you do have your daytime shades and privacy shades i'm gonna catch andrea one day i don't think you can keep trying and look at that theater seating theater seating electric theater seating with the usb right there cup holder cup holders right there really this isn't a remote holder oh nope but again it's very very nice i love the electric seat and more importantly andre i love how it's directly across from the tv entertainment center now over here before we go we do got storage above okay storage above very nice table right here it does drop down to make a bed you got seat belts over here seat belts over here and then andrea right now we have a window and if you don't want the window anymore and you want to watch your tv all you got to do is push this button and then it comes all the way up isn't that nice that's awesome and then what i do like about this tv is that it is directly across from the theater seats so you're you're not having to turn your head sideways you're not having to it in a weird way you just go like that and then let's see if there's storage underneath four seat belts in this dinette and there is storage underneath okay it does not have piano hedges but hopefully jayco slash integra it's gonna start doing that soon well andrea do you know what time it is it's now time for the msrp and andre guess what what shooter just came in yesterday so i don't even know the msrp so let's go to jayco's website and build one right now so before we begin i do want to show everybody where my office is i am here about to show this to you at the albuquerque balloon festival so we go to jayco's website and we select 31ul we then select which interior design you have the dover or the modern farmhouse andrea would probably select over because the modern farmhouse have those uh has those uh balances then again standard is no body paint the option is full body paint okay so let's build it when we use the standard graphics we're gonna build a cheaper way the dover and that's it the cheapest msrp is 183 68. so now if we use any of the full body paint we do the modern farmhouse front overhead bunk power seats bigger refrigerator in the combination washer dryer it's now an msrp okay uh here is the kitchen yes ma'am all right let's start here with this cabinet very nice i love the light above the slime yes i love the solid surface countertop very pretty with the led lights under it yes we got four drawers wow okay cabinet up here okay okay and a microwave great size very nice we've got the uh three burner furion propane cooktop okay with the glass cover and we have an oven that's great very nice okay well i don't know what's going on but look i do notice that they have the backsplash there yeah it's a lot better since it's going all the way around sure does and we have a drawer here okay lots of counter space it really is yeah again part of it being my opinion of full-time worthy yeah and uh we got a cabinet here and another one okay so this is adjustable shelves yes all right let's see this this is a residential style sink wow very nice and you have your extension yes ma'am all right and then it looks like we have okay we have this underneath here okay lots of storage which i'm actually pretty excited about it really is and over here look at this you actually get more drawers oh i didn't even see those sponges and two more okay okay here's look a full residential whirlpool refrigerator wow look how big that is i love that for full time yes yes amazing humongous ice maker and water um purifier yes right in there love that all right ready for the bathroom yes yes yes we're going in here we go now nice big 30 by 36 shower andrea this is huge this is big this is nice you know plenty of space if you stand over there please um just just a really good shower and then here oh there it goes that's how you have your privacy and then in the bathroom andrea we have a sink right here right over there a nice medicine cabinet for all your medicines your little sink right here and then storage underneath yep and there's drawers over there look at that yes ma'am and then we do got a porcelain toilet here very good america andrea think they could have moved it over a little bit no no it they could have failed easily but they did angle it um i will say it's very tight but i am going to give it to it this is a prime poop position but you know barely just passed but still barely still passing all right so going here uh into the master bedroom there is a pocket door okay very nice and then again another slide out back here queen-size bed i think that's a king is it a king it looks like it king-sized bed what's really nice about it andrea is that the bed does come all the way in without having to fold up i love that we do have storage above here which is very nice nice looking headboard continuing with that farmhouse look i love that and you do have the two windows on side to side um they have the nightstand here electrical outlet and you got kind of like a little cabinet under here yes and let me see on the other side as well yep very nice okay and then over here we do got nice big storage on this side your wardrobe yeah drawers look at these big drawers very big drawers good enough for all our clothes you mean all my clothes yes exactly tv behind there and then we got another wardrobe here yes ma'am okay very nice and then look at this six huge drawers down here as well now matt let's see if there's storage under the bed here we're going now let's find out is it yep there is storage back there hard to get to but still nice storage well andrea that's it that's the review that's the jayco precept 31ul now before everybody leaves it's now time to give you three things we love about this motorhome and three things we dislike about andrea what do we do first let's do three things we just like about it okay i didn't have many did you i have one and you're right there what what is it right in the middle there you are okay okay so my dislike is i really don't like the fact that um okay so all you really have is this right here oh what if like you're in the bathroom and like somebody wants to use a shower i mean it just i don't know i feel like there should have been a pocket door in a separation okay okay good point that's my dislike especially if you have guests yeah no that's number one okay number two andrea i got it number two i got it with the slide outs both closed it was definitely a tighter walkway and andrea poor little thing uh stopped her pinky toe uh while we were walking through this motorhome before we started recording yeah so it's probably a good thing he didn't hear me yeah exactly but you know nobody likes stuff in their pinky toe so that's number two and then andre number three i don't i don't really have one matt i mean it's it's pretty hard the balances yeah oh yeah it's your thing i like them what it is andrea doesn't like the balances um it is what it is i like them i think they look good but you know that's why it's an opinion show great so that's three things we don't like about this motorhome andrea now it's time for three things we love about this motorhome you ready for me to go first sure i talked about how i didn't like the double slide outs how narrow it was but i must say i do love how wide this motorhome is it's very big very spacious for being such a short motorhome i think they did a fantastic job with that that's number one andre number two i really like this kitchen yes i really love all the counter space in here yes you don't see that a lot you know for a small motorhome usually get that much counter space as amazing don't get much and this this is great i mean i would be happy with this i'm gonna combo that andrea with that residential refrigerator right there fantastic perfect so that's number two and then andrea number three we're going outside okay grab my backpack you got your phone um yep perfect we're on a little bit of a time crunch folks you're at some percent battery yes perfect number three andrea i am going to say i love this full body paint and i love the fiberglass slam latch doors again everybody knows i much prefer the aluminum doors but i don't expect that on this price point but to get this amount of storage for the exterior is amazing and the material that they use
