Balearic style sling and all her glory you'll notice that one in is looped and the other end is knotted wear it properly and fit the loop around the middle you're slinging with your going to take the knot and pinch it between your thumb and index finger you'll notice the thumb on the Balearic sling is open in the center and can be spread to accommodate some stones of varying sizes they're small medium sized stone to the this size stone probably put the actual bullard slingers to load simply take the thumb fit the stone into the phone spreading apart found whatever size you need to be able to bake stone simple underhand works best with medium-sized ammunition begin with the sling hanging at your side and swing it towards your target in a circular motion release as your hand is on its way up but not yet reaching the target and your hand should end aiming at the target helicopter style this is probably the most recognizable slinging style employs small or medium sized ammunition begin by swinging the stone over your head in a circular motion when you're ready to release you should do so just before getting to the point of the target and your hand should aim at the target at the point of release creak underhand style is my favorite style as it combines accuracy power and speed of release hold the stone facing your target then toss the stone over your slinging shoulder and use that momentum to carry you to the release this style is best suited for medium sized stones the lyric style slinging is the only style to employ a large sized stone in this demonstration begin by getting the stone rotating comfortably beside your body then move this rotation upward to Ward's helicopter position you'll release in between simple underhand and helicopter position this is a sidearm approach Greek overhand style employs a medium-sized stone you'll begin by holding the stone aiming at your target you'll then gently toss the stone over your outside shoulder using this momentum outside your body to bring it around to an overhand throw comanche or figure-eight style this is the only style in this demonstration that best employs a small stone you will begin by swinging the stone in front of your body around to the outside then back beside your your inside arm and it then becomes a simple overhand throw the wind up is in place just to help you gauge when best to release your stone the only rotation that really matters as far as power is concerned is the very last one spinning like a tornado destroys your accuracy it can be difficult at first to understand when best to release your stone two big issues our early release or excessive follow-through you'll want to release before you get to your target but your hand and the end should be aiming at your target after the point of release pick one particular style to practice until you get it down and remember that excessive follow-through can be just as detrimental to your accuracy as too early of a release slugging forydize dance when you're slinging for distance it's best to employ either an underhand or sidearm technique something like simple Greek underhand or the Balearic style work best and put some oomph on that last rotation you
