hi everyone it's Alicia with the doer D doen and welcome to Simple Supper Saturdays where we make a really easy meal for my family of 13 but first coffee today we are making Olive Garden chicken probably not legally allowed to call it that I don't know I've seen this a lot on Instagram and it is really easy I do crackpot a lot for my family because we're out the door and it's nice to come home from our activities and dinner is ready so let's go I'm going to make 9 lbs of chicken got this at [Music] Walmart I find that Walmart chicken does not need to be oh yeah I'm not going to get into a debate about whether you wash your chicken or not it's up to you I'm not washing this all right I find that Walmart chicken does not need to be scoured nearly as much as Wagman's chicken does Wagman's chicken usually has like some bones and a lot of fat and stuff and I trim it up pretty good but Walmart chicken is like good to go pretty much but I still check it over um like right there is a fatty piece my kids won't eat that they'll be like H it's chewy so I just cut those pieces off any imperfections all right I already put a food safe foil liner pan saer foil liner I get them on Amazon into my 24 quart slow cooker sprayed that down so I don't have to wash dishes all right that's 4 and 1/2 so 4 and 12 PBS was six pieces these ones look like they got to get trimmed a little more than the other pack okay the last time I made this recipe you guys warned me and you said don't use the full amount of the olive gar Garden dressing it'll be way too salty but I followed the recipe you guys were right do not use the full amount so like we technically should put in like oh my gosh three or four bottles of Olive Garden dressing I'm only going to use I'm going to see how it looks two at the most and then I'm going to do what you guys suggested and put in some water substitute to just like water down like Olive Garden dressing is amazing but yeah really really salty so we're going to water it down a bit this time this piece has to be trimmed and this is the last piece my husband actually said recently he prefers Walmart chicken over Wagman's chicken it's more tender and I agree miss this piece okay now that we got our chicken in there um I mean you can add seasonings if you want but like I said there's so many seasonings in the Olive Garden dressing you really don't need to all right I got to wash this because need some chicken juice on it okay got this at where did we shop Walmart Walmart my dogs keep going in and out opening the screen and now there's a fly in here trying to be sophisticated and not use my teeth but you know what okay all right pour this in yeah I'm going to use two bottles of dressing and I'm going to fill one bottle with water and we're going to try that just drop that uh measurement this time take sh this one up so this is going to cook on high for 4 hours or on low 4 six all right filled it with water and it is pretty much submerging let me just see if I can squish these down so they're all in the liquid yeah pretty much submerged in that Olive Garden goodness and we're going to take some parm and put a good healthy layer of parm over everything can you say healthy and parm in the same sentence I don't think so should be about two cups I think I did a little under and then we're going to take three bricks of cream cheese and set them right on top and that's it it's all there is to it Well for now later we will make some pasta and shred this up let's see how what kind of pasta I've got like spaghetti Shoe Fly welcome to Summer okay one more yall ever wonder why there's like 3,000 square fet in this house but this fly has to be in my one square foot I always wonder that like go anywhere else or just out of my house would be great all right M this one okay that's it get our lid on get this cooking okay I'm going to start it at 350 and probably turn it down in about an hour I'm going to clean up and we'll be back all right it has been cooking for about 3 hours and James wants to get the cream cheese stirred in roosing them out being still in a black so all right go for it this is is there chicken under there chicken cream cheese and Olive Garden dressing what is it Olive Garden dressing dressing like dressing yeah kind of yeah little bit more flavorful and Rich yeah I figured is it good now feel better yeah yeah it's fine all right so here's what it looks like right now I know it's not very appetizing looking but we will shred it all up in a couple hours okay I just checked it with the thermometer the chicken is at 170° F which means it's done once you hit 165° F it's cooked through I've got some water going to boil up some pasta I got two boxes of rotini so 2 lbs if pasta was the entree I would make 3 or 4 lbs but it's just a side dish so I'm going to make 2 lbs so that took exactly 4 hours like the recipe said and thank goodness because my kids are apparently hungry hungry today so we're going to have an early dinner okay I'm going to get some bread sticks in the oven we're going to shred up the chicken and that is ready to be cook and pasta all right here we go is [Applause] I think I'm going to get out well that one went through get out my it's going it's just taking a little bit [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] I was cleaning up the splatters okay did we get it all I think so okay yep got it all okay awesome okay almost done I got butter for the pasta we're going to throw a bag of salad in a bowl bada bing bada boom I'm going to make that twinky dessert tonight the red white and blue one saw it on Instagram like everything else that's my entire feed desserts very dangerous feed for me okay for okay boys are playing baseball on the deck and G's got to move to the yard no no I take that back they're playing baseball on the TR There is almost done 30 seconds the shirt on for dinner no shirt no I do have some standards okay make my kids wear shirts to dinner all right done I'm minimizing dish and we're just going to serve it out of the pot we cooked it in all right dinner's done done just going to let that butter melt and yeah that's it that's all
