This and Tartini's violin sonata in g minor are 2 of my favorite pieces that I've recently discovered.
I would appreciate it greatly if anyone could recommend me some more music like this.
Just a note that for this particular video it says that it's not available in the US. On a side note though, I'm sorry that Vengerov had to stop playing... despite all his gyrations and facial expressions, if you closed your eyes he really made fantastic music.
This is by far my favorite violin piece, next to the bach chaconne.
