oh thank you [Music] today we are in capab which is an area of Tokyo it's famous for its kitchenware shops so if you want to buy absolutely anything for cooking for preparing food you are going to find it here there are actually over 160 different shops selling kitchenware so I'm so excited to check those out anyway if you like videos like this don't forget to like And subscribe and let's get into it that's so pretty looks like the ocean [Music] look at this as well different cats look how cute this is Trap Fishing and there's little shrimp attached to the fishing rod it's so cute foreign so there's loads of different bowls here and a lot of them look like they're made of wood they're really really nice [Music] there's so many different types of patterns and colors so one of the great things about this area is that you're going to find products with different price points so there are a lot of really cheap products but also they have the complete other end of the spectrum as well like this store here the products here are much more expensive but it's a different quality and a different style as well so you can find all different price ranges here so there is something for everyone foreign so I thought this was a restaurant when I walked past it but it's actually not it's a shop that sells food models that restaurants usually show in the front so you can see what they sell there I didn't know where people get those from and so I was really happy to finally see a store that sells those the food looks so realistic it's amazing only in Japan another really cool thing about this shop is you can actually make some of the food here unfortunately all of today's sessions are fully booked because I imagine it's quite popular but that's amazing so you can actually try making plastic food yourself I love the sushi clock here like what's the time Maguro salmon what's the time I love the natto it looks so realistic look at it [Music] you can put these in your s and you kind of want one I really like the chocolate banana just in my hair really cute they show you how to do it as well there's a video so fascinating I didn't know these things existed until today thank you I love the patterns on all of the bowls here and actually there's also like Space Invaders Bowl up there which is really cool as well so I love that they have modern designs and also very traditional designs they're so beautiful I love the little sake bottles as well and that one there is bright blue it's so beautiful I love these massive Ramen bowls I would absolutely love to get one but I don't think I have room in my house to keep it unfortunately but I love this one and this one and all of them it's really busy here today but it's got a good atmosphere so I quite like it [Applause] so part of the reason kapabashi is called kababashi is because there are a couple of myths related to The Copper that are significant to this area my personal favorite is apparently this area was very prone to flooding in the past and they try to fix that and reconstruct the area but it was very difficult until a copper came along and helps them and I think that's such an adorable story and it's why you're going to see lots of copper statues like the one behind me all around this area and also why this area is called kapabashi one is significant feature of the copper is apparently they really like cucumbers and I really like cucumbers so maybe we can be friends so we've just came back from Kappa Bashi and that was actually a festival I didn't mention it earlier but yeah it's a festival so there are huge discounts across a vast range of products and we even saw a plate there that was 10 Yen and it was a pretty beautiful plate we nearly got it actually anyway now we are at capadera and this is a temple and I just wanted to show you it so let's go and have a look so this area is very quiet and very well hidden like most temples and shrines in Tokyo and as you guys know that's one of my favorite things about living in Tokyo it's very peaceful here and it's very easy in Tokyo to find areas that are very pleasant and quiet if you do need a break from that City Life and this is one of those places where you will find peace and quiet and I love it it's beautiful so here is the tomb of kapakawotaro and he was the person that tried to reconstruct Kappa Bashi after the flooding and he's the very same person that had a Cuppa help him and that's why you can see the tomb here and many different kappas surrounding it and it's very special and I haven't seen anything like this before and it's so interesting because I had never heard of the Cuppa before I came to Japan so it is something that is definitely very special to Japan and so interesting to learn about I'm completely fascinated by it I love that this is completely surrounded by Nature I love all the little trees and shrubs and just how green it is it just makes me feel so relaxed and you can easily forget you're in Tokyo just by standing here and it is like I said really hidden away I've seen so many people just walking past and I don't even think they know that this is here so I feel incredibly blessed to find it today so there's actually another Kappa just hidden in there and he looks completely different from the other ones the others Are All Made of Stone and he's bright green so he Blends in with the background he's so adorable just sitting there so this is another copper here and this one really surprised me because it doesn't look like all of the other variations of copper that I've seen but it's still really cool to look at it looks like modern art so that is it for today's video you guys I hope you managed to see that on the way to kapobashi on the pavement there are actually pictures of the copper which I thought was really cute I'm ending this video with a fantastic view of Skytree behind me as well so we are in Central Tokyo anyway I think this is a fantastic area to check out especially if you're looking for some new kitchen utensils have you been here before let me know in the comments section below thank you so much for watching and I will see you in the next one bye [Music] foreign [Music]
