SHINY CHALLENGE: Osaka Pokémon GO Fest BUT Harder!

today we are doing Pokemon go Fest in Osaka Japan we're gonna be going around to all different locations in the city including Pokemon Center yes catching Pokemon at real life Pokemon centers however there's a catch today we are playing using only the Pokemon go Plus that's right that's the only way we are catching Pokemon and spinning pokestops today is with this here's the question though how many Shiny Pokemon can I catch using the Pokemon go plus plus during go Fest in Osaka Marie are you ready I'm ready all right let's find out a huge thank you to Niantic for giving myself and Marie free passes to the Pokemon go Fest in Osaka thank you Niantic we have to uh make sure we purchase enough storage oh you don't have enough uh I think I can currently 1 100 Pokemon all I can hold and then that's not gonna be enough well okay so so you got a thousand Jordan how many how much storage do you have uh let me see for Pokemon or ideas Pokemon uh 2500. are you kidding I gotta catch up over here I'm doing something wrong uh what's the first stop Amanda uh we're gonna go to the Pokemon Center but on the way hopefully get some breakfast how many coins do I need you think I should what 1200 200 coins oh I just buy the hundred dollar one all right I want to do this I'm gonna do the five thousand one the Forty dollar Ando do you think I'll need that that much storage 100 for for go Fest today honestly it's one day it's one day I will publicly admit on the video if I'm wrong you hear that Jordan you're gonna get you're gonna get a public apology okay so first order of business since we're starting off the day it's about 10 a.m We are currently heading to breakfast however I think we have to take a sub to get to the breakfast but we are downtown in the city of Osaka so Pokemon go Fest is happening all day long and obviously we're gonna try to figure out how many shinies we can get with just the Pokemon go plus plus so I need you to make a prediction down in the comment section how many shinies do you think we can catch using only that Pokemon go plus plus playing all day long how successful could it actually be and we're off [Applause] [Music] [Applause] my God and Marie what'd you get the bear hungry man version protein [Music] any shinies that's what we're looking for any shinies at all I don't think I got one shiny looking through here look at this you got a shiny swirlix look at your shiny swirlix hair okay so you got a shiny and I didn't all right two shiny oh all right I'm a little jealous I'm a little jealous any shinies over there this is atrocious it's not one shiny and I'm not even using the go plus plus no no shinies but I am getting new Pokemon for my Pokedex all right all right we're gonna hatch three eggs here let's see what we got as we're crossing the road Magikarp all right egg number two here we go I know those kind of stories are shiny total Staryu does not count nah I'm gonna say it doesn't count and egg number three iggly buff all right so on the way to Pokemon Center here so just kind of take a look around and see everything look at this all the the rage going on right now if we can actually click on one yeah look at that mega Rayquaza making the debut and then uh Mega Diancie also making the raid debut because we got our Xerneas right here look at that beautiful Xerneas I actually don't think I have a Xerneas but yes here's everything that's around us figured I would show you before we actually get into the Pokemon Center which we're going to the building right now all right going up another level here it is this was the perfect way to go what a view right here as soon as you walk in oh it is packed in here it is packed full of people okay so we're here at the Pokemon Center you can see it right back there the Pokemon cafe is right over here and of course we gotta check what's going on with Pokemon go and you can see there is a ton of stuff around right here and some of these gems are even like this one right here of the Xerneas no shinies whatsoever everybody else getting shinies yeah okay yeah what do you got over here I got the inkj The Rock rub the almond and that's all from go plus plus yep ma'am I'm catching without realizing I'm catching them you're getting them all that's the problem yeah not saving any for the rest of us hey you know what not bad I'm sorry at least you apologize I appreciate that all right so nothing for me yet no shinies yet for Pokemon go Fest Osaka but we're gonna keep trying we still got more places to go come on what in the world sorry my bad didn't mean to I appreciate you apologizing again next next time I'll let you know [Music] all right so I was gonna try to show you uh what Pokemon are here down on the sub Subway but there's no Pokemon around I got no GPS signal right now so I can't Pokemon go in the subway apparently [Music] fantastic that's really good too so this is what's for lunch then yeah traditional foreign [Music] [Music] except information on the unknowns I'll keep the unknowns you need to turn in some things here so I'm like catching some z's that'll give me 25 pokeballs which I need 23 more Pokeballs that was Soccer City Sites I also got to give my buddy three treats too so yeah quick treats on this one yeah why why is this my buddy I have no idea I literally have no idea oh we're playing the last reward for the Osaka City site so one out of five right here all right we're gonna tap through tap through the story here we need to power up Pokemon 10 times use a super effective charged attack and then win a mega raid look at all the raids happening I can try to go for this memory right here yeah it tastes good today here's the cocoa Curry right here that we just got looking good oh there's somebody else in here too it's not just me nice okay I just use the suggested team I don't get I don't get super strategic with it I had the final strike though final strike and smell this all right let's rescue that Pokemon [Music] right there second ball yeah hey you know I just I'm really sorry [Music] okay so we're about to hatch an egg here 10K let's see what we got here inside of the card shop 10K egg can be shiny again this is all I've been hatching it's only been hatching with 10ks is it urchin all right I guess we'll appraiser show some respect appraise it and then transfer it let's see what we got here Pokemon wise see if we got any shinies at all purloins feels non-stop spiels right here tangulas oh here we go two you got two more two look at this I got shiny Jigglypuff oh right here and then shiny Mantine oh really that's amazing I like it the shinies are coming through as we're starting to walk a little bit more we get the shinies going so three shiny oh did you get another one sorry every time all right I'm gonna transfer everything else and we'll continue on still in the card shop Marie shiny Jinx you and Jordan okay so we're doing the mega Raid Battle here I've already started bear and I team both in here Teamworks the dream work no shiny on my end but it does help complete the task which is what the important part is all right we got it we got it we got it I'm gonna transfer these out right here so I can save some space so far the total of shiny Pokemon at go Fest here in Osaka is only three by using just the Pokemon go plus plus I have not caught a single Pokemon Myself by throwing the Pokeball this really is a good device if you're in a big city like Osaka because there is pokestops everywhere there is Pokemon everywhere so it's just non-stop going I I guess the only downfall would be running out of storage I think we're gonna try to do an aquarium at some point Marie we also got to show this oh your fan yeah you bought this at Pokemon Center also glows in the dark it does what do you think you bought this one I bought this one I mean I still think I had the better one I mean yours is adorable but this one water little Spritz oh you're gonna steal it now you're gonna try to get that uh 151 right down over there on this vending machine no I'm too poor I got you oh thanks boom okay there you go oh I see what you got oh it's one card and a top loader oh okay oh oh oh [Music] you see if I'm watching this weekend yeah [Music] umbrella holder yeah we got an umbrella it's so wild to walk into shops like this because you see and hear about them all the time and then you're actually here in person and then you're you're like it's real it's like an actual real place of just non-stop stuff that you've been into your entire life where you've just gotten into it's a collector's dream so many N64 games right here at the classic Super Mario 64. like every spot is covered in here there is not like an empty bare spot anywhere are you getting stuff already Thomas this one he's shiny I'm trying to at least get one shiny from a hatch today while we're waiting for a taxi um you can see everybody right over there I'm gonna go ahead and praise this really fast not a perfect so I'm gonna go ahead and transfer that out we'll go ahead and start incubating another one I should get all the incubators going at the same time boom all right so now we're gonna go ahead and look and see if we got any more Shiny Pokemon let's look at that pumpkaboo Froakie corpsish Psyduck not a shiny though I know I know Lucario that's a nice one uh Jinx spritzy oh I don't think we got any more oh we cut a lot though oh wait Dino look at you nice okay so that's another one all right so now we're at a total of four four shinies with the Pokemon go plus plus however I'm pretty sure Jordan has gotten way more than any of us through the Pokemon go plus plus now it is time to transfer all of these so I can't transfer the Psyduck the Psyduck I can't transfer that's a rule of mine I never transfer the psyducks it doesn't matter how much storage it takes up let's come back I got one more shot okay one more all right onward did we get a taxi and shiny pumpkaboo and a shiny Corps bush oh I'm so jealous of everybody what is going on [Music] foreign on the whole aquarium thing I want to set my camera down right here um I think I have a couple tasks that I need all right so the go Fest 2023 Osaka City site two out of five that is all complete so I'm gonna go ahead and claim all of that that gives me another Super incubator so the 10K eggs are piling up literally right now let's go through this so we're two out of five this is going to bring us to three out of five hatch two eggs complete three field research Taps and then walk 1K uh one kilometer um that's gonna I think all that's gonna be super super easy to do especially hatch two eggs let's make sure that we have eggs going right now so yeah we got eggs going right now let's go ahead and throw a super incubator that we just got on this other 10K make sure we don't have any other uh oh actually we we do hmm we'll just leave we'll leave everything we're gonna be walking a bunch anyway so make sure there's nothing else that we can actually complete hatch 2K uh three field oh we cannot easily do that easily do that okay uh just because we don't have time I'm not gonna do the the random and wild encounter so I'm gonna do all three of these and then that'll give us 23 more regular pokeballs to help fuel the Pokemon go plus plus here's everything around us right now I want to click on it so bad uh there's Andover I could feel it I could I could feel it [Music] inside Marie's been doing way better all right we made it to the aquarium the sun's not down yet how much time do we got to enjoy this an hour 55 minutes exactly oh this is actually really nice update to the story here the aquarium situation so they close at eight but it looks like they stop accepting people at seven so we took the taxi here and unfortunately it is closed it's 707. oh so is it like literally like at seven yeah they stop selling tickets oh no all right Marie what'd you get whale sharks officer of ice cream whatever it is it looks beautiful isn't it it's like little pearls so pretty this is a seaweed salt soda a seaweed salt soda and then just a regular Cola right over there tastes like bubble gum we're inside the gift shop the gift shop is still open and then you can see the menu right up there but yeah unfortunately we were not able to get in so this is kind of all we get to see here at the aquarium the aquarium's right behind you this is the port of Osaka you can see right over there Port of Osaka and we are going to check the Pokemon out here and check what we've gotten so far so you can see all the Pokemon that are currently around right now we got a corpus galerian Slowpoke we see the ride on right there but let's see what we have caught so far since we've been here at the aquarium hoppip Galore literally nothing but Mark Hoppus kind of scroll through here see if there is any shinies whatsoever or if we're still at four when it comes to oh wait here we go nice shiny Dratini we'll go ahead and take the uh take a look at the appraised three stars not not like crazy crazy perfect but so we got Dratini as one of the shinies and then all right that's the only one that's the only one we got however we do need to turn some things in so we got the uh go Fest 2023 go for gold we can turn all three of those in and we get 23 more regular Pokeballs and then we're gonna get more incubators as well I literally I play every day but it's just like a casual play yeah so but since I'm here in Osaka I definitely wanted to take advantage of playing Pokemon go Fest since Niantic was nice enough to provide me my pass for free Anne-Marie yours as well yes uh so big thank you to Niantic for uh gifting us the passes to the Pokemon go Fest Osaka uh we can turn in one thing and that is it for that but look at all the Pokemon right here but more importantly look at the scenery right here look at the scenery here at the Port of Osaka I mean how beautiful is this right here by the aquarium unfortunately we didn't get to do the aquarium but we're making the best of it I mean we're just enjoying the sights right now and it's probably about what 7 38 is the time and there's still day left so still time to enjoy the day night still time to enjoy the night whoo it was a long day playing Pokemon go here in Osaka so I'm gonna check my Pokemon one more time however it looks like I am able to claim some more rewards it is about 10 30 p.m literally played Pokemon go all day long as we explored the city of Osaka going to the Pokemon Center and uh random card shops and all that stuff so and then we're gonna check to see if we got any more Shiny Pokemon to end tonight and then we'll see our grand total of shiny Pokemon from only using the Pokemon go plus plus during the Pokemon go Fest here in Osaka so all right so it looks like that's all we can claim there and then Pokemon wise we got some otters some C Dots Dratini was our last shiny that we got so we'll just go down scroll until we get to a shiny Dratini and it looks like maybe no other Shiny Pokemon wait a minute really not another shiny at all yeah look there's Dratini right there our last shiny so it looks like only four shiny Pokemon using the Pokemon go plus plus during go Fest so four shinies was the grand total uh and I started about I think 10 a.m this morning so almost 12 hours however I did have a lot of fun and once again I want to give a big thank you to Niantic for uh giving myself and Marie free passes to the Pokemon go Fest here in Osaka so there we go and the shiny Pokemon go plus plus challenge is complete so on the way back from the aquarium I started hatching eggs unfortunately nothing shiny from all the eggs that I hatched as well but the big thing is is that I've been waiting till the end to tell you this is that the big thing is is that actually the day before go Fest actually started we were here in Osaka and I caught one of the coolest shinies that you could possibly get we were waiting in the hotel lobby and literally everybody was getting Shiny Pokemon people were opening up the app and literally within that area it was like boom Shiny Pokemon for this person boom Shiny Pokemon for that person and then I clicked on Amora and got a shiny one believe it or not I was like so shocked to actually get one I was super pumped about it and uh if I'm comparing it to all the shinies I got actually today during go Fest I mean this might be the best shiny I've gotten uh in a very long time especially while here in Japan I don't think there's gonna be a better shiny I can get unless I get a shiny side duck I don't think there's gonna be a better one that I could possibly get during my trip here in Japan [Music] okay
