to this family Bible study our back in our father's word Matthew chapter 17 have a lot in this chapter that you want to pay close attention to father tells us some things that you can pick up on and they're very important or comforting I should say more so and after we've fed the multitudes and Christ has done a bit of teaching there we pick it up in that 17th chapter verse 1 and verse 1 reads with that word of wisdom from our Father and after six days Jesus taketh Peter James and John those three his brother and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart separated them from everyone else why well one would he wait six days well maybe maybe it's a sign that the second Advent would be six thousand years from a certain point who knows but it's idiot from from the day that the Psalms 22 was given how fantastic probably not but things happen verse 2 and was transfigured before them and his face did shine as the Sun and his raiment was white as the light that's boss white is phosphorus verse 3 and behold there appeared unto them Moses and Elias which is to say Ligeia talking with him and here they're standing before him that's very important why would Christ be talking to Moses and Elijah well of course all Moses was who he was the lawgiver God gave them through the law through Moses and who was Elijah Elijah was the prophet of all prophets and here so we had we had the lawgiver and the prophets prophesy standing before the Lord of the earth and so it is verse 4 then in third Peter and he said unto Jesus Lord it is good for us to be here if thou will let us make here three Tabernacles one for thee and one for Moses they recognized him and one for Elijah let's let us do that I mean they were thrilled I mean here it would seem like the heaven had erred and the time of the change by the transfigured bodies that it was time for the second Advent evening verse 5 while he yet spake behold a bright cloud overshadowed them and behold a voice out of the cloud which said this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased hear ye him if he ever wanted to listen to me that's what one of the thunders from heaven when God speaks it is awesome when when the heavenly father brings forth in other words what's happening here is extremely important and you want to pay very close attention to it verse 6 and when the disciples heard it they fell on their faces and were sore afraid you know many people think they talked to God every day they pray to him but when God speaks they hit the dirt it is an awesome frightening thing and so it is what did Jesus do then verse seven and Jesus came and touched them and said arise and be not afraid and got their old legs back under him again verse eight and we they had lifted up their eyes they saw no man save Jesus only the Transfiguration is over that verse nine and as they came down from the mountain Jesus charged them saying tell the vision to roam in until the Son of man be risen again from the dead again meaning you wait for the miracle of the resurrection and then you can share this vision that's important I want you to tuck that away in your mind Wow why wouldn't you say hold this until after the resurrection you might know that a little bit verse 10 and his disciples asked him saying why then say the scribes that Elias that's ignited must first come and and we read that of course at the second Advent in Mela the great book of malachi a' in chapter 4 it very well declares verse 11 when jesus answered and said unto them Elias or resigned you truly shall first come and restore all things that's before the second Advent you can count on it verse 12 but I'm saying to you something we want to take into consideration that Elijah is come already and they knew him not but have done unto him whatsoever they listed likewise shall also the Son of Man four of them in other words if they had received john the baptists as Elijah why because he came in the spirit of Elijah as it is written in Luke chapter 1 verse 17 not that he was Elijah but that he came in the spirit of Elijah and we could read in John chapter 1 verse 19 John was asked or thal Elijah and he said no but he did come you'd never take it away from him that he came in the spirit of Elijah now let's analyze this what did we see and it was supposed to be kept secret until after the resurrection and it truly was but after the resurrection then prophecy came and told explained this to us you see the fact as we read and you should remember back in the 11th chapter Christ said John would have been the Elijah if there's a if there are condition they had received him they didn't they beheaded him and they crucified the Lord and and naturally Psalms 22 we knew long before that's what would happen but here we observed the transfigured the the transformed body of Christ and of Elijah and Moses two people Elijah never died on earth God just took heaven God took Enoch Enoch has a purpose also but Moses it's written that he died but God would never let man bury him as it's written in the last chapter of the great book of Deuteronomy God took him right over Mount Nebo and he took Moses to himself so what can we say about this then the answer of course lies in the 11th chapter of the great book of Revelation when it comes to the point that at the second Advent there would be an angel arise and he would measure the temple of God and he during them that worship therein but the court which was without the temple leave out and measure it not for it is given unto the Gentiles and the Holy City shall they tread under foot forty and two months that's the time of Satan's reign prophetically verse three listen carefully this is why we came here and I will give power unto my two witnesses and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days clothed in sackcloth that gives them just a few days longer than the false witness because they come they come earlier is the point okay but then who is it who are these two witnesses verse four these are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the god of the earth what was he menu well it was God with us and who was standing before the Lord of this earth on that day of Transfiguration they were standing there talking with him who else do you know of that has stood before the Lord of this earth this was told in the year 95 after the resurrection was complete so that it was alright then to share it who the two witnesses would be and there you have the proof thereof of course as a Cariah paints us a finer picture metaphorically of these two and the very lamp that needs no oil that man can provide but it's provided by the Holy Spirit this truth from God's Word and what a beautiful menorah there with these two standing beside it and what kind of powers do they have these two that have stood before the Lord of this earth verse 5 and if any man will hurt them fire proceedeth out of their mouth and devoureth their enemies and if any man will hurt them he must in like manner be killed and so it is God's plan is perfect but sometimes you have to do a little research and know the timing this could not be made known until after the resurrection and God chose John not John the Baptist of course but John the Apostle he loved to bring forth that message directly from the Lord and how precious it is to know those things in advance and you might say well why would why then would Christ appear in a transfigured body with a transfigured Moses and the transfigured Elijah so that you would know what was happening so you would know who the two witnesses are just as Peter recognized them and wanted to go ahead and build a tabernacle it's not time but it will be at the second Advent when the mini membered body gathers around them and they need and prosper and protect us before before the Anti Christ even sets foot on earth so it's a great comfort and that's why Christ would have this kept secret at this time until it was time to make it no one - the time for the election to serve Him and not let fear come into their heart why because God's with us he sends those always to protect us if you believe so we return into the seventeenth chapter of the great book of Revelation pick it up in the next verse would be verse 13 then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist as to say if they would have received him but they didn't 14 and when they were come to the multitude there came to him a certain man kneeling down to him saying fifteen lord have mercy on that on my son for he is lunatic and so fixed for oftentimes he calleth into the fire and oft into the water now what is the difference this is if not just a common evil spirit this is a lunatic from lunar just like we read that the false ones have 42 moons that's lunar anything lunar like that in prophecy pertains to the devil Satan and certainly here we have one that has the spirit of Satan himself this club because it comes directly from the moon lunar and this is fantastic because even today when you have a full moon you will have that moon affecting people that causes tide to rise five six feet the ocean think of the power and and then don't snuff at it the presence is there and certainly Minds can be affected verse 16 and I brought him to my to thy disciples and they could not cure him Christ and thought oh this is one that was special seventeen and then jesus answered and said o faithless and perverse generation how long shall I be with you how long shall I suffer here bring him hither to me bring him over verse 18 and Jesus rebuked the devil and he departed out of him and the child was cured from that very hour verse 19 then came the disciples to Jesus apart and he said why could not we cast him out verse 20 and Jesus said unto them because of your unbelief for verily I say unto you if you have faith as the green of a mustard seed it's the real thing you believe we shall say into this mountain or nation it should be translated the nation of the Kenites remove hands to the under place and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you verse 21 listen and learn how be it this kind what kind is that lunatic lunar goeth not out but by prayer and by fasting no you see how can that be what does what is Christ saying well do you not remember when when did Christ go into the wilderness and fasted 40 days and and who was in the wilderness with him Satan Christ went to his weakest point forty days and forty nights without food fasting and fending off Satan all that time showing the way and that way of course was of a scripture and and how precious it is that Satan would throw scripture at him and he would return that he would certainly return that saying that scripture though with him it was changed correctly Satan always twist scripture just about thirty-five degrees at the end where it becomes a lie and Satan showed it Christ showed us how to defeat Satan at that time you can read it there as we covered it in Matthew chapter four how beautiful it is by prayer and fasting what did he ultimately say get behind me Satan and so he was and so he is so you see God's Word gives leads you and guide you and filled you Satan will try to twist it on you you'll send along people that will claim to be men of God a woman of God and then they take God's Word and twist it just like the devil does and I'm not calling names of anybody anywhere if somebody doesn't teach the truth they're just not teaching the truth the whole truth it's very necessary in this generation because we're approaching that time when these events will be very real before us and the action that we take you cannot allow yourself to be deceived as this deception I hope you can gather from this very casting out can be very persuasive in these end times when the actual lunatic of runer the old slewfoot satan himself as antichrist shows up on this earth it's going to be very convincing and very tempting that's why it is called the hour of temptation but he is not talking to us and to us it is not an hour of temptation but an hour of the abomination that maketh desolate by the desolate door there is none of them Satan himself so you see within this how important it is to be comforted by God's word with the prophecies that pertain to days the days that those two would be with us and naturally their power comes from the Holy Spirit for what was it in Zachariah that I said concerning the more menorah that had those two olive trees there's two people on each side of it they all didn't come they came from them but they weren't the ones that ported the Holy Spirit that is to say that Christ that stood between these two talking to them before them rather and that is for causes the truth to flow into the 7,000 that that old plumb-bob buzzer or bobble hold straight and level straight on to get it done so it's a very simple thing when you look at the word and not listen to man this man or any other man read it for yourself who are the only two that were standing before the Lord Jesus Christ that did not die and are still around because they must die again in the streets of Jerusalem you understand that's why God did not allow them to be killed I know many will argue with me that that Moses was killed I will argue that he was not he died but do you think how many how many people did Christ speak and they bounced right back to life you think God didn't have that power before Christ came along of course he did why do you think God would not let anyone bury Moses as it's written in the last chapter of Deuteronomy because he took him just like he took Enoch and just like he took Elijah so why did he not let them die because they must die in the streets of Jerusalem in the PATA as it's written in that same 11th chapter we were at to set that example whereby things are put back in order and our Heavenly Father takes control so there you have something that is so simple when you let it flow before you you see who said don't tell anybody about this until after I resurrect after the crucifixion and it would have been impossible until that time and before the second advent when Elijah truly will come before that great wonderful day of the Lord God Almighty and now it gives you a little more leverage and your thought process can work there we're about you can understand the truth and how precious it is that he touches you remember always how be it this is the way it is this kind go up out not out but by prayer and fasting and you will read of that in Amos chapter 8 that the feminine these end times as fasting is not for bread we've got the bread of life but it's for the Word of God which is the body of Christ but he alleviates all that anxiety by teaching the word as it's written and how precious it is okay and then we go with the next verse verse 22 and it reads and while they abode in Galilee jesus said unto them the son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men and I may be delivered up verse 23 and they shall kill him and the third day he shall be raised again and they were exceeding sorrow sorry and certainly they were one thing they loved him and they had walked with him lived with him been taught by him and he was so very good to them and he could handle any situation such as the lunatic demon and teach them and tell show them exactly how it would come to pass how things would be and they loved him and trusted him that's what faith will do for you they were sorry but he is preparing them after showing them the Transfiguration and then the casting out of the lunatic at the very hands of the devil himself that we have power over him and can exercise it there's nothing to be sorry about but he lives and he lives today he lives forever next verse please verse 24 and when they were come to Capernaum they that received tribute money came to Peter and said death not your master pay tribute we didn't listen doesn't he pay his taxes 25 and he said yes and when he was coming to the house Jesus prevented him saying what thinkest thou Simon that means a hearing of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute of their own children or of strangers and and naturally the king his own children he's I'm gonna tax them because they're family and the play on words is this in truth Christ is the king of kings and Lord of lords he owns everything and he certainly doesn't have to take tribute nor does he pay tribute that is to say he doesn't have to but what did how does he handle that though because not everybody could understand that but as they certainly did not recognize him as King got it verse 26 how did Peter answer him Peter said in him of strangers Jesus said unto Him then are the children free in other words because of that the king's children are free so in a sense when you are one of his children then certainly as far as the kingdom in the eternity and that's what we're looking at here after the resurrection and millennium and I want you to look at it not in a monetary sense but in the sense of truth the children are free because what sets them free the truth and you can read that again in st. John chapter 8 verse 32 learn the truth and the truth will set you free but because of lack of understanding of people of the significance and the glorious gift from God that Messiah was walking the earth in the first Advent and people not understanding he handled it in this way 27 notwithstanding our nevertheless or because of this lest we should offend them go bow to the sea and cast an hook and take up the fish that first cometh up first one and when thou hast opened the his mouth thou shalt find a piece of money that take and given to them for me and B this would be a a starter which Roman corn which is half an ounce of silver and it would have been four enough for two people in tribute that's what it would be okay for enough for both of them and so it was that they that do it this way so that the world is not offended why because it's more important to teach the truth that truly sets free and do whatever the world requires as long as it doesn't counter your religious belief if it crosses and counter your religious beaten behave then you do not tolerate it when people try to take our freedom of religion away from us we mark that lot that says the heathen do and you do not want heathen in control so anytime someone tries to take away religious freedom the people will rise up and you as a Christian or part of that but at the same time you do it gently advisedly and you do it so that it doesn't if then that your own people but at the same time you make a stand it takes away your if it goes so far it start taking away your religious then you cannot abide them to keep from offending them you act upon it whether it offends them or not you could care less that's the way it is and that's what this particular part of this parable means you ever let anyone ever take away your religious freedom there has in the first place there's been too many men and women have died bringing that freedom to pass all the way from the colonies down to this very hour and God expects us to stand up for our Christian beliefs and keep perversion where perversion belongs verse 18 chapter 18 as we continue then at the same time came the disciples unto Jesus saying who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven this is where a lot of people lose their humility and they kind of began to think of themselves as something special there's only one that's special that that's Almighty God he created us and he created everything in the world and give him a little more credit he created everything in the universe and you wouldn't know who's the greatest in heaven of course it's God himself and so the answer who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven it's Almighty God it's y'all day verse 2 and Jesus called a little child unto Him and set him in the midst of them the first three and he said verily I say unto you except ye be converted and become as little children you shall not enter into the kingdom of well well what is he talking about well have you ever seen a little child that really loves someone as you should love the Lord when you talk to them they are not brainwashed by someone else that they don't love or anything they believe every word you say and they ask you questions men they can fire questions like nobody's business and they because they thought they trust you and they follow you those little eyes are open to receive the truth and they are the picture basically for things to be humble and sit in the lowest place then he set this little child down before them the second is to be patient with our neighbor a neighbor is not necessarily born to the womb of Israel that's a brother but even with the neighbor be patient with them take your time if it be possible at all and thirdly not to scandalize or insult a weak brother you don't want to do that or take advantage of a weak brother there's it's just not right and fourth you are too mildly correct him when it falls I mean gently and but firmly like you would a little child and that's how a little child reacts to someone they love that's the way Christ wants you to react to him that does not take one iota of strength away from a man of God or a women of God or a child of God gives you the best set of manuscripts that you can buy in both the Old Testament and the nude but you really do don't need that unless you're going to do some really deep research the Strong's
