She Said I Could TAKE IT! Yard Sale Shopping Finds

it is community yard sale day here in the town of belvedere new jersey which has beautiful you can see in the background victorian homes i've never been to their community yard sale i think it usually goes on when i'm at something else so this will be a first for me will i come back with treasure will i come home empty-handed only one way to find out so let's get to some sales and see what we can find [Music] is hello i could use this one on my dining room yeah i left that country i don't know that's what i thought when i said i'm rejoicing trees [Applause] hello [Applause] [Applause] you can do it um that's all right digging's the fun part football guys buttons buttons buttons what do they look like oh we're gonna get those i think goblets that's a cute bag actually i like the bag these are neat i don't know if they're bakelite i like them how are you she's pretty it's broken uh scary stories the books are all free how much is the christmas lady what's that how much is her you can take her oh are you sure yep i'm at this point i just i'm happy oh wow well thank you are sure absolutely oh thank you so much she'll go with my decorations thank you wow free it's nice that's nice of her and i got a scary story about oh this is the church i was going to come here first and then i got distracted so we shall see what is left i kind of like this it's somewhat gaudy but it's kind of neat i don't know if i'd be able to sell it i do like it though it's older i'll grab it and see what happens that's a nice frame that's painted huh that's interesting that it's painted because it looks just like a print but it's on canvas i guess we'll grab that too so we only bought jesus not the disciples um they wanted it was 10 for each 10 a piece which is not bad but the um i noticed the last supper it had like pen marks on some of the background like sharpie marks so you know you can't get that off i'm not going to try and get that off open it up and get it off so we went with jesus instead he's rather nice so i think for ten dollars that was a good price this house is all ready for halloween third dog statues of costumes that's really cute they did that very well i like that house oh this is another church sale that i didn't know existed and they have coffee or tea they're smart they have a lot of stuff here this guy is cute and coming home with me lots of puzzles so there's no pyrex anywhere these cups were my childhood they're actually really nice condition you know what i think i'm gonna get them memories running on a color theme here let's check out what's over here i like this one i've seen that one that's cute too that's really cute the sale started off a bit rough i was finding more newer items and i thought in a town like this that is relatively old i would find some older items but that's not always the case you know you have people moving in moving out so you never can tell but i persevered and i found some pretty nice things one thing i got even for free this little lady 1956 napco planter christmas planter it's actually written on the bottom aunt lorraine received this from a friend and be gifted it bequeathed it to me sometime after that she does have a little chip here and when i asked how much the lady said it was free and she just wanted to get rid of stuff you know i asked again what i could give her for it and she's like no no please take it please take it so she's really nice and because she was free and she has a chip she's going to stay with me and i will add her to my christmas collection she would probably look nice amongst my bottle brush trees and i might even be able to put some bottle brush trees behind her we shall see so that was nice i did buy jesus he's in my back seat i did not buy the last supper as i stated it was there were some sharpie markers and i'm not going to take that out to try and clean that off the jesus is rather nice from the front it almost looks like a print but then once you turn it around you see that it is on canvas and it is older i heard one of the women say that that was probably her favorite piece or the best piece that they had there and i paid ten dollars for that they also wanted ten dollars for the last supper that was a hit hit or miss again because of the sharpie or marker damage so i left that um i bought some tins i bought some bags to use at the flea market and then from the one woman where i made most of my purchases we have a mixture i bought these um napkin holders i don't know if they're lucite they're not bakelite but you know they have a funky old style retro vibe to them so those were a dollar for all of them then i bought the baggie of patches we have some military patches there's a multi-national force and observers patch no idea we have a burg fuhrer patch that has the edelweiss on it and then this guy if you know what it is then you can let me know in the comments below i'm sure a simple google search would suffice as well so i bought all those patches then because we just love saying the word a whole can of buttons button button button who's got the button so a whole mixture i think these were a dollar for them all there's something in the baggie see we can get it out more buttons so i will have to go through these and see what we have i like the color of the tin oh it says sewing how appropriate then i even found a tin type of a man and a woman that was a nice fine lady didn't even know it was in the bottom of the box she had really nice things apparently she used to have an antique store i bought this it says jewelers a fine metal plate for silver and gold baltimore baltimore jewelers supply company so perhaps they put this in their window somewhere at their store just a nice piece of vintage advertising and then perhaps my favorite pieces we have the denison usa football guys this one the package is still sealed this one he's coming out a little bit but there's one there's a lot there's probably says four pieces on the back i guess there are four four pieces so these are really cool if they were garnet and gray they would have been my high school colors which would have made them even more special but i like them just as they are they will look good with my um during the thanksgiving season when i decorate for my big easton phillipsburg football day rivalry game that we have one of the longest running high school football rivalries in the nation and we've been on espn several times and even had eli and peyton manning come out and coach our team for a a redo i'll spare you on that just i like my high school football so i got those i think i paid five dollars for all the stuff that i bought from that woman so she had very nice pricing and she was very nice to deal with as well but i hope you enjoyed this community yard sale video as we get to the more into the fall not sure how many yard sales are going to be we can always see you never know what you're going to find so thanks
