She FRIEND ZONED Him Then He PROPOSED!

ashle means everything to me and really nothing compares to what she's brought into my life that night when it happened I was like mind blown [Music] I originally got the idea after we got back from a trip to Malibu it was once I got home I just knew I had to marry this girl I walked with my family and we had this idea to go flying to kind of recreate that second date that I went on funniest story our second date he had said hey would you rather go on a razor ride or go on an airplane and in my head I'm thinking whoa whoa whoa like I don't even know I haven't even thought this through if you're a friend zone or not week off but I want to go on an airplane ride but I don't want to lead him on and so I text him back in in a nice way a friend zone you should probably go and pick someone else and he was like wow I really like your honesty but let's just go as friends and I seriously like highway night wait island mind of the pilot and we took her up to Salt Lake City and I just toured the area and we had a really good time now is the day that really I was like Kate is so cool he's cute and fun and I knew at that point that Ashlyn had some interest in me and so I'm like going back and forth and it definitely was a long process of building our relationship [Music] so the plan that we came up with together was it me create that second date and we would do that by making action think that we are going on an anniversary dinner with my parents we're out here with Daniel at the airport who's got his dad right here and this plane has a big big part to do with this proposal tell us a little bit about what you're gonna be doing in essence we're gonna come down tomorrow pick up my dad from the airport suddenly my mom's gonna call and say that she's running late with this extra time we're gonna go for a quick flight while we're in the air her family's gonna come into this hangar right here when we open the doors and let her out of the plane I'm gonna propose to her in front of her family are you nervous very so when the day came for the proposal I was just home and I was anxious I was nervous so scared of her finding out cuz between Tyson me and my family we put a lot of work into planning out this proposal dan reminded me we're going to dinner with my parents for their anniversary and like why in the heck would we go to your parents anniversary dinner of all places like give them their space on the day that they're celebrating each other and Dan picks me up from my place then we get on the freeway and he starts freaking out about the traffic and Dan never creaks up but he is just like oh man like there's so much traffic we're not gonna make it I'm like we are fine and I'm sitting there nibbling on crackers that he brought me because he knew I was hungry which I thought was sweet he gets a call from his dad his dad's like you're gonna have to pick me up from the hangar and then I kind of go off again and like why do we have to pick you up from the hangar can't even meet us down the road like we have to backtrack so then I get sassy again like I always do and it's probably just cuz I'm hungry when Daniel arrives I'm going to call Ross and say oh my goodness monster running late and he's gonna say oh man you're running late so let's just go for a flight just take you know we'll just go around the Patton come down and keep it casual then once they take off we'll all go down to the hangar and we'll hide in the hangar Oh [Music] what do you think she has any idea no so blonde no I'm sorry can I say that about my own child once we arrived to the airport I get my dad it was really nerve-wracking because I could see all of her friends and families cars lined up outside the airport and then randomly he stops this conversation that we're having which I thought was like a really good conversation if and he goes hey over there in that field my dad says they catch vowels on the camcorder thing and I look over and I'm like no way and it made no sense but at least I got her to look over and not see any of her family's cars as we drove past so once we got into the gate to the airport we're the coast was cleared so we could go straight the airplane in damn light come on let's go talk to my dad and the hangar and I'm sitting there and I'm like no it is cold out there you go talk to him I'm gonna wait in here he was about 17 degrees at night so I was worried that I'd have a hard time talking Ashland actually getting into the airplane and then him and his dad come over and they say hey Margaret just called she's gonna be 45 minutes which was perfect timing because my dad then offered to take us flying together yeah and we would never pass that up ever she hopped right out of the truck and went straight into the plane and that was like 90% of work done right there I was so happy that she already we get in the plane and there's a GoPro staring at my face it was on I was thinking it was one of Ross's quirky things like over us is just doing flight time or something no this is your first we just as we taxied away on the airplane I was just so nervous because I was trying to get my GoPro camera on I was trying to plug in the audio so we can listen to everything else said during the flight I almost lost it when we were taxing you out to my dad accidentally went right next to Tyson filming and apparently Ashland said she saw someone out there with the camera I'm looking out the window and I see the shadow but it never occurred to her that cameras filming her it was really fun [Music] as we took off I remember looking over and I saw in the windows of the office all our family and friends and they're all shuffling over to hide in our hangar for when we would arrive as we're flying Ashland kept looking back at me Dan's not saying anything in the back and I just check on him everyone smile she kept giving me these looks and got smiling at me inside I was like oh man like she knows it's it's it's over [Music] his dad flies us around the Oakland temple and I thought that was that was really special once we landed I was getting really nervous just as we got close and close to that hangar I knew that the big moment was coming right when we arrived it was just the worst timing because a military helicopter came and landed right in front of our hangar and there's tons of wind and just noise and he parks the plane funny I don't know why I noticed it but he parked it weird and in my head like I can get my own doors I don't feel and the hangar door wasn't going out fast enough and I could see everyone's feet standing along that line [Music] I thought was was right and magic and literally the only thing I thought was my feet are clean why do I need this this rug on the floor [Music] Thanks
