throughout the history of the Warhammer world there have been countless Kings that ruled over mighty empires elves men and dwarves have all borne witness to legendary sovereigns who have left behind unforgettable legacies telling of their greatness yet no matter how powerful these individuals were all succumbed eventually to the cold embrace of death whether it be through battle assassination or the march of time no King can rule forever at least that was the case until the treachery of the arch necromancer nagesh disrupted the natural order with his great ritual the tomb Keaton's awoke but none among them can compare to the majesty and power of the great king of Mecca Cara none can stand before the might of him known as kimra Cara lord of the earth he who holds the sceptre high king of nahi Cara ruler of the four horizons monarch of the sky mighty lion of the infinite desert the king of kings great Hawk of the heavens majestic emperor of the shifting sands an eternal sovereign of Camrys legions cetera the imperishable cetera was born around two thousand five hundred and twenty years before the time of sigmar into the royal family of kimrie eldest son of the current king he was destined to follow in his father's footsteps as the eventual ruler of kimrie in this early time of his life the whole of muharram civil wars ravaged the lands as the time of strife continued ever onwards cetera spent the first 20 years of his life learning to be a powerful warrior and brilliant general fighting alongside his father's legions on the front lines against countless foes he could only watch as the lanes suffered underneath this age of turmoil the greatest kingdom of man swiftly approaching destruction even when Sentra's father claimed the coveted crown of neha Cara that was supposed to mark his right as king of kings the other cities refused to bow it wasn't long after this that the king of Kamri was struck down in battle his lifeless body carried back and buried by right of lineage Prince cetera was recognized as king with the crown of Mecca Cara placed upon his brow when he stared out across the lands all he saw was ruination and despair the enemies and woes of najara seemed endless mutated monsters from the north greenskins savages and even the mysterious lizard men from the south all scoured the land and tides of destruction were still plagued and drought held the land in an iron grip but still the petty kings of each city continued their pointless civil wars this age of strife finally United the often frac Tisha Sneha Karan priesthood for they believed that the great land suffered because the gods had been angered their protests fell on deaf ears however until the priests went to kimrie of all the net karan kings none could match the splendor cruelty and arrogance of king cetera he was a vain and egotistical man and demanded not only the obedience but also the adoration of his subjects however cetera was no fool and when he listened to his priests he realized that only a leader who could command the respect of the gods would earn the full adulation of the to this end cetera alone amongst all the kings of Nakara paid homage to the ancient gods early in his reign he ordered the restoration of temples and erected many magnificent statues to be built in their honor on the first anniversary of his coronation cetera beseeched the gods to restore kimrie to its former glory and grant him the strength to conquer his rivals sacrificing his own children in a grand ritual to show his commitment and prove his worth the next day the great vit a river flooded for the first time in decades with the waters disease was washed away from kimrie and the crop harvest was plentiful for the first time in living memory this was seen as a sign by both an aircar and priesthood and the populace of kimrie the cetera was indeed chosen by the gods so it was that cetera became the first priest king of kimrie a ruler who commanded not only the complete loyalty of his people and his legions but also wielded the power of the gods with his city strengthened cetra gathered his legions and march to punt the other cities of najara a ruthless warlord who loved to lead from the front the king of Camrys martial skill was only matched by his tactical genius the first to feel his wrath was Numis the scarab city's gates smashed asunder and the defending armies crushed next the mighty port city of xandrie surrendered to the priest king saving their own lives with each victory more warriors flocked to the banner of cetera until he commanded the largest and most devout army the najara had ever seen with this massive legion of battle-hardened soldiers no mercy was shown to any who dared oppose Cetera's might it was during these wars that the king of Camry noticed a particular warrior who constantly distinguished himself in combat although rumored to be the descendant of northern barbarians the young man named nikhat proved to be an exceptional asset to Cetera's legions his strength feats of skill and unswerving loyalty to his king were unsurpassed the priest king was consistently impressed to the point that he inducted in the coffe into the prestigious ranks of the elite tomb guard it was only a few years before cetera appointed his most trusted warrior to the position of his personal Herald being a gracious Lord the King of Kings gifted to knock off the flail of skulls and sent forth the tomb Herald to destroy all who would oppose kimrie under Cetera's inspired an unparalleled generalship all the kings of mythic ror conquered forced to swear oaths of fealty paid tribute and acknowledged kimrie as the preeminent city of the land once more having subjected his rivals through bloody conquest cetera had ended the civil war and the time of strife few rivals emerge during this time to challenge cetera and those who did were crushed mercilessly by the priests king's own hands or by those of the herald akov Cetera's agents would root out and quell all trace of dissent and the merest hint of rebellion until none even dared to think about defying the king of kimrie thereafter such a reign as the undisputed king of not just Kim REE but of all najara and for many decades he suffered no challenge to his rule though cetera was a ruthless and tyrannical ruler kimrie and indeed the whole of najara entered a golden age of prosperity under his rule the war ravaged cities were quickly restored and many grand monuments were erected - not just the gods but now also to the honor of cetera many legions of soldiers were raised to secure nahi Cara's ever-expanding borders and repel the many mutated monsters and savage barbarians that had sunk their claws into the great land during the time of strife yet cetra was not content with merely restoring the kingdoms of his ancestors the armies of najara spread far and wide conquering the surrounding lands and enslaving their tribes Sentra's war fleets ravaged realms across the seas and his armies brought the terror of the priest king of Kamri to many distant lands foreign cities fell faraway lands for conquered and vast riches were brought back to the great land from as far afield as the jungles of lust Rhea Nakara reached the peak of its power and influence during the reign of cetera and his name was feared across half the world and yet even then there were those at home who would continue to attempt to strike against him the most noted case of this was when the king of bagghar tried to lead a revolution against cetera however the priest king simply sent his personal Herald Nick off to slay this fool in personal combat and many challenges fell silent for the rest of sectors reign there was nothing that could stay Cetera's hunger for war nor his thirst for combat and for many years the armies of Makara swept across the world cedra's vast kingdoms stretched across the lands but for all his victories and accomplishments the priest king was unsatisfied it is said that in the fortieth year of his reign after defeating the orcs of the bloody fang tribe his body began to show the first signs of old age and frailties Centris stood in the peaks of the black mountains upon the very edge of his empire and surveyed all that he had conquered he then turned and gazed upon the distant lands that lay on the other side of the mountain and roared in anger it was with bitter disappointment that central realized that even if he lived for a hundred years there would still be realms beyond his grasp cetra simmered with rage for he knew that one day he would be defeated not by a mortal foe nor by any superior army for surely there were none but by the cruel passage of time and his own mortality cetera knew that his dreams of global conquest were unreachable on his mortal lifespan and though the fires of ambition still burned brightly within his heart his body would wither and fail him before he could see his vision fulfilled worse central recognized that death might rob him of all he had achieved his lands his people and his power over the following months he became ever more obsessed demanding audiences with the wisest priests and scholars in the land to discuss how the intolerable problem of his mortality might be overcome and his arrogance he vowed that the grave would not claim him and set in motion events that would forever change his kingdom cetera became obsessed with unlocking the secrets of immortality so that he could rule over his lands for all eternity and his quest for everlasting life cetera founded the mortuary cult and demanded that his wisest and most powerful priests devote their efforts to discovering the secrets of preventing his passing the priests of Kamri did Osetra bade them and for years they brewed potions recited incantations and traveled into unknown lands in search of the secret that would overcome death in their research the priests learned much and they used their powers to extend Cetera's life far beyond its natural span however they could not halt the passage of time indefinitely they were merely postponing the inevitability of death while their Lords mortal body became ever more frail the priests of the mortuary called were naturally reluctant to reveal these limitations to cetera whose wrath was legendary and continued to search in vain for a way to accomplish their appointed task the priest journeyed for many years throughout the world they studied all aspects of death and over the years they learned much and their powers grew using their archaic knowledge the priests extended the length of their own lives even as they continued their work they learned how to preserve a corpse from decay until the art of mummification had become very elaborate indeed with the passing of the years the Huayra fonts of the mortuary cult had even begun to experiment with harnessing the winds of magic the power of the gods themselves though they made incredible progress it was to no avail true immortality lay beyond their power great with Cetera's wrath for though the priests magic kept him alive far beyond the span of a mortal man they could not prevent his death however the mortuary cult had devised a vast lore of magical incantations and rituals which they claimed could bridge the gap between the mortal world and the realm of souls they believed that with careful preparation and the proper incantations it might be possible for the dead to return to life in imperishable bodies though it may take many centuries to perfect and perform the necessary rituals left with no other choice cetra commanded that a vast burial tomb be constructed for his body to rest within until the mortuary cult finished their work and he could be reborn into the internal existence he's so craved as cetra Lay Dying full of anger and pride to his last breath the priests of the mortuary cult promised him a golden paradise that upon his awakening he would rule for millions of years when the king perished and roughly the age of 170 2,350 years before the time of sigmar it was with a curse on his lips powerful incantations were intoned over his corpse and he was embalmed in a great ritual preserved against decay the body of cetera was entombed within a mighty sarcophagus in the heart of a majestic pyramid of shining white stone the monument was so bright that it hurt mortal eyes just to look upon it the pyramid was vast and it towered over the city of kimrie it was the largest and most magnificent monument ever created in najara for no simple care would befit a king as mighty and powerful etc all of his treasures along with his most loyal servants and bodyguards were also interred within his pyramid Cetera's mighty legions which had carved out his realm at his behest were arrayed deep beneath it in colossal two pits loyal even unto death these soldiers were buried alive in preparation for the day of awakening when cetera would arise and lead them to war once more at the head of the funeral procession strode mnek off set rose most loyal servant mummified at the right hand side of his beloved king in order to serve him in the next life the following was inscribed upon ceteris tooth hail to the mighty - guard who stand before me you who will stand watch over me for all eternity for I cetera Lord and first priest king of kimrie will awaken to command you in the paradise that awaits us hail to thee o shop T and Sphinx who stand Sentinel beside the monuments of the king hail to the commanders of my army leading fourth-year regiments to join me in tea hail to the warriors of my legions make ready your weapons and fill the air with the sound of your worship your standards are pleasing to my sight and that of the gods see how the light of patrasche shines upon them remember them gleaming this day as you enter the darkness of the tomb fear not what we must do for we are the glory of kimrie and shall rise again to fulfill our manifest destiny of ruling this world there are great deeds that remain undone enemies yet to conquer and raptures yet to rejoice in so as it is written so shall it be done i cetera have proclaimed it let none dare oppose my will for thousands of years afterwards the priests of Kemper attended the funeral flames outside the sealed to nurturing Cetera's immortal spirit with sacrifice and incantations in preparation for the day of awakening no tomb before or since has ever had such powerful hieroglyphs of warding and incantations of protection heaped upon it during this time the priests of the mortuary cult continued to develop their understanding of magical incantations in the hopes of finally unlocking the secrets of immortality and of bringing about the time of cetera resurrection the spirit of the priests King laid undisturbed for over a thousand years until the time of nagesh the great necromancer a massive war took place for the soul of Nakara until it finally ended with the defeat of nagesh yet in his bitterness the lord of undeath unleashed a horrific ritual upon the whole of the world to kill all life however his great ritual was interrupted and the gash himself was slain in the process but it was too late to prevent the transformation of najara into the land of the dead in addition to an unintended effect as the gashes powerful sorceries coerced across najara countless corpses stirred and rose animated solely by the dark will of the necromancer with his destruction their source of animus vanished and they fell like marionettes whose strings had been mysteriously cut the gashes foul magic also penetrated the tombs of the Kings and reverberated throughout the charnel pits of the dead cities however protected and shielded to a degree on the wards and incantations placed upon their pyramids and necropolis 'as the gaseous spell affected the long dead kings and their buried legions differently after centuries of entombment the stiffened corpses of the monarchs and heroes awoke the mummified Kings rose from their resting places legions of skeleton warriors burst forth from their sand filled to pits ready to do their leeches bidding due to the incantations of preservation performed on their involved bodies the tomb Kings awoke from their long journey to the realm of souls with their memories and faculties intact they emerge from their tombs in horror where the ancient Kings have been promised eternal life in a paradise where they would rule supreme they instead awoke to find themselves clad and desiccated flesh and rotten vestments with their cities shattered their lands desolate and their kingdoms all but destroyed little more than ruins poking out from beneath the sand dunes there have been countless kings during the long history of Mahara the fires of ambition and pride that had driven them all in life still resided in their ancient bodies and they instantly set out to reclaim their empires as best they could Kings who were great and powerful in life who had reigned unchallenged for centuries now awoke from death in a land where they were but one amongst hundreds all believed the right to rule the land was solely theirs and none would relinquish their perceived power dynasties that were built upon the shoulders of more powerful monarchs were forced to confront their founders and there were long battles of the Necropolis as king thought king undying legions arose at their command and many thousands of skeleton warriors were destroyed as the undead two kings struggled for supremacy of all the tombs and pyramids only one remained silent and untouched by the fighting the Great Pyramid of cetera the imperishable the wards heaped on the white burial monument had protected the mummified corpse of cetera from the gashes tainted sorcery and its occupants still slumbered in the sleep of death oblivious to the tumult of battle taking place outside the pyramid walls as the battle rage the Lich priest looked on their bodies already extended far beyond their natural span were unaffected by nagashi spell they had survived the rise and fall of the gash whose sorceress power they could not match but it looked like the warring tomb Kings were going to destroy what remained of Mecca Cara the head of the mortuary cult grand heirophant kept oldest and wisest of the Lich priests took it upon himself to restore order as Katyn smoke King cotta broke the seals to Cetera's pyramid and began to recite the incantation of awakening in kimrie the battles between the rival kings lasted four days before the tomb of cetera opened and the mightiest of all the kings of najara strode out into the blazing sunlight at the head of thousands of his warriors in undeath cetra hungered for the Dominion of his fellow tomb kings and he would suffer no rival to his rule cetera waded into the carnage his Herald 'no coffe stood as ever by his side together they led Cetera's elite tomb guard and quickly carved a path to the rival skeleton legions cetera struck down dozens of lesser tomb Kings who stood against him powdering their bones to dust and destroying them utterly not even Archon the black with his command of dark sorcery could prevail against cetra strength of arms and he was forced to flee Kamri before long all the two kings bowed their heads to cetera the imperishable the undisputed ruler of all nahi cara cetera returned to his throne room and commanded the Lich priest to explain to him why the awakening had gone awry and so long before the right and proper time Sentra's fury was great his cities were in ruins his treasures had been plundered and much of his kingdom had been lost to foreign invaders the golden paradise he was promised did not exist and worst of all it appeared as if the ancient gods had abandoned Nakara grand Hierophant kept cowered before the outraged king and told the history of neha Cara since his passing over two thousand years before as best he could contact old cetera of the spell that the foul nagesh had cast cursing Nakara for all time cetera listened with a barely controlled rage simmering within him once he had learned all he could from kata he commanded that the two kings returned to their eternal rest the Lich priests were given the duty of watching over the tubes and of awakening his vassal Kings as needed cetera vowed that he would stay vigilant taking stock of the world and waging war as was his won't never again would he slumber bless his kingdom slide into ruin as for kata he bore the greatest blame for the failings of the mortuary cult being its highest-ranking priests and the sole individual who had awakened etc the King of Kings believed the priesthood had lied about the extent of their powers in his fury cetera exiled content from Kamri and forbade him to set foot in any of the great cities until such time as he could fulfill the mortuary cults ancient promise and reinstate the Golden Age of najara cetera said about restoring his former Empire without delay in particular he watched for the return of the hated nagesh who had cursed his realm for he knew that the necromancer might yet reappear in the world and that nagesh is sorcery could still threaten his immortality so it was that najara became the land of the dead etc the imperishable renewed his rulership which would become known as the reign of millions of years with his dominion over Ned Cara resumed the king of Kim resat upon his golden throne in the heart of his capital and considered his situation for 1,200 years he had rested in the realm of souls waiting for his resurrection only to end up ruling over a great wasteland of death thus his first declaration was for all the kingdoms necro Tech's to gather their legions of slaves and begin rebuilding immediately for about 150 years the restoration of the great cities continued without pause until interrupted by an old foe to the north of Mecca Cara a massive Wahb orcs and goblins was sweeping across the badlands the meager Empire of more Cain was obliterated and the green skins reclaimed their ancestral homeland however a great number of them splintered off and descended upon the land of the dead eager for even more loot in battle such was the immense size of this wah that even cetera the imperishable mightiest of all Kings was given pause on how to approach this enemy the green tide was made particularly dangerous by the score of monstrous wyverns at their head destroying everything in their path when the Oise paths abruptly swept towards Kamri center himself ordered the mortuary cult to reawaken the long buried necro sphinxes although terrified of the mysterious abominations the lich priests feared the kimra cara more and thus began a week-long magical ceremony as the tide of orcs and goblins rampage in view of kim ruiz walls cetera gathered his army and marched out to meet the brutes as the ritual neared completion the mighty skeletal legions assembled behind their king even as the wyvern swooped low with bellowing roars it was at this moment that the ritual finished and a dozen necro sphinxes burst out of the sand in an instant the constructs set upon the charging vibrance using their colossal blades to cleave the reptilian necks every one of the flying beasts was brutally slaughtered in rapid succession before the Sphinx is bounded into the green skin frontline cetera immediately signaled for the charge the legions of Kim Rees surging forwards to engage the disorganized before the sunset every orchid goblin lay dead a stagnant peace descended upon the land of the dead once more though it was only a short century before the King of Kings would be interrupted in his works yet again another invasion struck at the heart of najara but this time it came from the Southlands a great host of reptilian creatures marched out of their jungle realm seeking out ancient plaques taken long ago when the living walked the desert the lizard men smashed aside the skeletal legions of Casa bar and Pagar claiming only golden tablets before continuing towards cavalry itself cetra would not suffer such an act of aggression and demanded the many defenses of the city of Kings be prepared for siege when the lizard men arrived it was quite apparent how the armies of the southern tomb cities had been annihilated numerous scaled beasts of colossal size marched with the reptile men many of which four powerful riders are dangerous weaponry centra may have been arrogant but he was no fool and knew that the legions of Kamri marched out of the gate they beat hard-pressed against such a force thus he ordered the Lich priests to find a way to disable the larger beasts while the king of najara held the walls a brutal series of conflicts took place all along the defenses of kimrie with countless ranks of tomb guard holding out against saurian assaults carrion soared through the sky pursuit of terror Don Reiter's even as you shabti and skeleton archers launched constant volleys of arrows into the skinks swarming up the walls the battle raged for hours but the tomb Kings hard-pressed for even with Cetera's brilliant leadership keeping control of the walls the magics of the Lich priests struggled to sustain the legions of kimrie against so much brutal carnage and the lizard moons owned caster's the battle was finally turned when those priests sent by the King of Kings to discover a solution found their answer by directing the winds of hitch in a grand ritual the priest channeled the Rays of the Sun through a series of mirrored prisms that capped the various golden pyramids of timrie this formed into a blazing ray of power that incinerated each of the monstrous beasts one by one with this threat ended sent a road out upon his chariot with scores following in a bone-shattering charge having lost the advantage the lizard man quickly fell back and retreated to their jungle realm with this victory the great king of the desert secured his land once more against outside threats at least for a time it would be many years before another major incursion tempted the wrath of the two kings though for Cetera personally his next enemy came from within with there being a nearly countless number of Kings who were all once the supreme sovereign of their lands it only stands to reason that many tomb Kings were envious of the power that cetera had claimed and undeath since the War of the Kings none had dared to openly challenge the first priest King there were two of dead monarchs however the connived in secret to perhaps find another way king qua of xandrie and King Robb have Numis for both powerful sovereigns of their cities and chafed under the rule of cetera so they formed an alliance seeking to break the power of Kamri and have the monarch of the sky slain in one fell swoop to accomplish this end they sent an assassin wielding a magical blade capable of ending the imperishable rain of millions of years so confident were they that this plan could not fail the traitor Kings gathered their legions and march to war when word arrived at the city of Cannes that two lesser beings had started a rebellion etc was furious he demanded that the legions be raised in constructs awakened for war once again sending away his council to fulfill their tasks alas so consumed was the king Kings and his wrath that he failed to notice a hidden figure stalking forwards behind his throne the assassin left into action and brought his ensorcelled dagger slicing down only for the blade in the arm holding it to be obliterated by a mighty blow despite all his speed the assassin had been so concerned about avoiding the hateful gaze of cetera that he had failed to notice being marked by the herald Nick off once more he had proven himself worthy of being the King of Kings eternal champion this cowardly act pet cetera into a black moon too dark to describe the full might of Kamri was unleashed and met the armies of xandrie and Numis upon the desert plains the battle for dominance lasted for seven days and seven nights before at last cetera prevailed over his rivals kua and repair slinked back to their Tunes and hopes of being forgotten but the great hawk of the heavens fury remained unsated he marched to both tomb cities and found the tombs of the cowards ordering his tomb guard to drag their mummified corpses into the Sun where they were set ablaze and they're charged skeletons shattered beneath the heavy wheels of set rose golden chariot this act served as a stark reminder to the other two kings about the price of rebellion and none would dare even consider it for at least another two millennia four centuries passed without great incident for the King of Kings until at last a great evil returned to the world exactly 1111 years after his destruction Nagesh was at long last reborn the great necromancer reclaimed his fortress of nagashi czar and raised an immense tide of the undead before descending upon najara seeking to bind the tomb kings to his will under Sentra's leadership however all of the two kings rallied under one banner for the first time and led the combined legions of the tomb Kings against their greatest enemy the following battle was the greatest war of the undead the world would ever witness until the end times despite all of the gashes sorceress might he could not sustain his forces against the brutal assaults led by cetera the king of kimrie fought like one of the desert gods incarnate against his most hated foe and ground thousands of mindless puppets beneath his chariots wheels even worse for the great necromancer was that he was powerless to slay cetera himself as the scarab brooch of assyrian deflected spell after spell after days of fighting the king of Nakara finally claimed victory as the gash fled the field back to his fortress ever after the two kings would remain vigilant against the arch necromancer's returned after the invasion of nagesh cetera turned his view to the wider world and contemplated the place of the tomb kings within it for thousands of years the undead had labored to restore their realm but now conquest beckoned although the high king of najara already possessed dominance over the land of the dead the seas were made out of his grasp but linea had passed since the war fleets of xandrie in the other two cities had dominated the Great Ocean their mighty ships sunken beneath the depths in the Imperial year of 100:1 cetera the imperishable instructed that his fleets be razed and made seaworthy once more the time had come for the world to tremble in fear of his glorious Empire once again it took hundreds of years to fully rebuild the immense fleets commanded by the two kings was Andrew once more becoming legend as the fleet portent of terror yet his rumors spread of ghastly Bohn fleets full of skeletal legions assaulting pirates challengers were drawn to the shores of neck acara the most frequent of these were the marauding tribesmen from norske eager to find plunder and earned glory in the name of their dark gods the northern barbarians came again and many of these invading forces would make landfall on the land of the dead trying their fortune in the arid desert the most famous instance was when an immense hoard came ashore east of the River mortis following an inland with war drums pounding such a force was quickly noticed by the two kings with the nearest tomb city being that of cetera the ruler of the four horizons did not take kindly to this intrusion demanding that the legions of cavalry be awakened for war the following conflict known as the war of sand and snow will be covered later on in the famous battle section it would be over 30 years before the war of sand and snow came to an end and such a return to najara satisfied with his vengeance the king of cadence at once more upon his gilded throne and turned his attention back to the land of the dead for the next 500 years cetera focused mostly on returning numerous stolen treasures to their proper resting places and having them resealed things past fairly without great concern for the tomb city of kimrie until something dark loomed on the horizon sensed by the Lich priests not long before its arrival an immense storm of magic descent upon najara in the Imperial year of 666 as the winds of magic began to swell however dark shadows coalesced all over the land of the dead with the horrible scream the very fabric of reality tore open and a tide of demons broke free from the realm of chaos the invading army swiftly obliterated the nearest legions of tomb kings as it spread like a disease across najara cetera quickly mobilized the golden army the full might of Khem reassuring for to combat the forces of chaos such was the size of the demonic host however that even the full might of Kamri struggled to hold their ground time after time blood letters and Deema Nets crashed into lines of tomb guard while carrying battle plate drones in the sky magical flames were flung by cackling flavors of Z CH while enraged spirits released from the casket of souls tore apart eldritch abominations the very desert trembled as massive chariot legions led by cetera himself crashed headlong against armored blood crushers Bay for slaughter despite being tactically superior and engaging the enemy on an ideal battleground the tomb kings struggled to hold the superior numbers of their foe at bay every second more demons tore into reality to replace those banished back to the forge of souls slowly the legions etc began to lose ground the magics of the Lich free struggling to raise the Fallen it was at this fateful hour that a beauteous horn sounded across the battlefield drawn by the foreign sound the King of Kings turned his attention to the west where a great host of high elves came charging across the dunes hundreds of arrows sword from longbow sizing down ranks of demons silver hounds and Dragon princes raced ahead to crash into the flanks of the unholy legion butchering all in their path as Phoenix AZ dived in to tear apart various beasts finally came the full might of the Asura as the infantry of the glittering hosts rushed in underneath their Griffon bound lor Prince storm rider staring his monstrous steamed past shrieking Furies the elven general approached the majestic emperor of the shifting sands and offered an alliance cetra paused for a moment to consider this interruption of his battle but ultimately decided to accept the aid of the elves for loathe as he was to admit it the forces of Cimbri were hard pressed against this foe gesturing for his own army to press forward the toon king surged towards the demons to join their new allies the Golden Army in the glittering hosts fought side by side slowly casting back the entities of chaos the war raged on for days before the demons made a final stand of the shadow and the black pyramid despite feeding off the winds of magic swelling around the gashes greatest creation the beings of chaos were no match for the combined forces of elf and Undead at last the Horde was defeated and a stagnant peace returned to Mecca Cara as for print storm writer cetera honored their agreement and generously allowed the living to leave his lands unharmed after the demonic incursion the first priest King focus primarily on strengthening his hold over the Hall of najara in dealing with the occasional nuisance for roughly 2,000 years he simply focused on keeping the living out of the land of the Dead which began to prove difficult as time passed adventurers and raiding parties from the Empire became more and more common not to mention the great many battles fought against those Knightly orders of the Empire / tonyia that strayed too far from Arabi during the great Crusades yet these were mere skirmishes compared to the great battles seemingly fought ages ago etc 'z war hungry mind began to crave conquest finally in the Imperial Year 25:22 the mighty line of the infinite desert could wait no longer he summoned the mortuary cult and demanded they raised the full might of najara for war first he would lead a great purge of the deserts and ensure they were truly the Land of the Dead once more then he would lead the mighty war fleets and ride the chariot of the gods to battle again the time for conquest had returned and the tomb Kings would not halt their great expansion until najara encompassed the entire world now that Cetera's history has been covered it's time to move on to his equipment of the various items cetera has none possessed the history that surround his headdress the crown of Mecca Cara this icon of supreme authority was forged millennia ago during the time of strife in an attempt to bring that era of bloodshed to an end King after Cain claimed the crown incorporating their own headdress into the original to claim rule over the great land each of these mighty warrior kings and leaders were slain until the crown of Najera fell into the possession of cetera the imperishable the first priest King was the last one to add his own piece to the regal headdress as he claimed full dominion over najara completed after centuries of struggle the crown has been instilled with the unyielding will of all those who have worn it since his resurrection into undeath center the imperishable smite has grown exponentially beyond that which he wielded in life the crown of Najera has also mirrored this evolution pulsing with magical power from the rites performed upon it when it was buried with the great cane now this symbol of ultimate power radiates Cetera's will across the battlefield animating his army into action guided by their king the golden army fights with skill and speed that can't be matched on this earth of course Sentra's armies and their skill under his sway only make up a part of his fierce presence on the battlefield when leading his legions to war the King of Kings rides upon the golden chariot of the gods wheels blazing with mystical flame this mount is one of the most powerful creations ever made by the Lich priests crafted after cetera was declared the first priest king of Nakara it was a simple demonstrating how all the pantheon favored him as their chosen monarch blessed by all the gods and goddesses of Mecca Cara this relic slams into enemy lines with earth-shattering force and has butchered the foes of cavalry for thousands of years those not trampled to death by the for skeletal horses pulling etc into battle will be torn to shreds by sight wheels or incinerated by the magical flames that the chariot of the gods leaves in its wake none can stand before the King of Kings and hope to survive his devastating charge should an opponent be too large or skilled to simply run down however cetera can always rely upon the magical blade he wields known as the blessed blade of patron during the time of his natural life the first priest king recognized Petrof god of the sun as the greatest of the pantheon as such cetera desired a weapon unmatched by any other in najara and so the priests of the sun forged him a blade that pleased the deity greatly thus patron poured his might into the artifact infusing its white-hot edge with the heat of the Desert Sun setting the very air of blaze and making it glow so brightly that it blinds set rose phones this blade is a horrific ly powerful weapon as the heat it generates is so intense that even the sturdiest armor melts before it those foolish enough to duel the King of Kings will be unable to escape unscarred as even looking upon the blessed blade of petra too closely will cause permanent blindness when it comes to defense for the King of Kings he depends on more than just the armored sides of his chariot to protect him the most powerful artifact cetra bears is also the most inconspicuous one upon his body is worn the scarab brooch Allu Syrian a talisman made in the image of a skull Kara paced keppra beetle that surrounds the wearer with the protective energies of who Syrian god of the underworld this barrier is incredibly potent able to turn aside all but the luckiest of blows to whizz harmlessly by the chariot of the gods as you Syrians grounding influence powers the bridge it also possesses the ability to negate or deflect hostile spells aimed etc it was the scarab brooch that allowed the first priest king to face off against the gash and claim victory for even the great necromancer's foul magic could not overwhelm its protective aura especially since when the two kings became a race of the undead the only one of their gods to survive was mysterion Lord of the underworld and as such he is greatly empowered as the only remaining member of the Pantheon so long as this item remains upon cetera the imperishable few can hope to even land a single strike against him with that the equipment section is complete so now it's time to move on to the skill section one of the first things that becomes apparent when dealing with cetera is that despite technically having once been human the king of kings has evolved far beyond that when he died the mortuary cult performed countless rituals upon his corpse to ensure that when the awakening took place sentro would return as a golden god although the schemes of nagesh robbed the camera cara of his golden paradise ceteris resurrection still granted him incredible power the most obvious way that cetera changed is through his sheer strength despite no longer having living muscle the great hawk of the heavens is horrific least wrong able to match the might of dragons and giants he can crush his rivals bones into powder with his bare hands and scatter ranks of foes with single sweeps of his weapon of all the humans in existence whether living or Undead none are as physically strong as the high king of Makara the other notable way in which the burial rites empowered cetera is that the Lich priests magic made him surprisingly durable with numerous ceremonial symbols carved into his Armour and clothing trying to wound the King of Kings is comparable to that of piercing the rock-hard hide of a stone troll when coupled with the scarab brooch of who Syrian and the chariot of the gods defenses there's a good reason why very few can hope to stand a chance against him however it should be noted that the very same Awards which empower Cetera's body were ceremonially crafted using materials that are incredibly flammable thus even the first priest King has one glaring weakness of being quite vulnerable to fire the final gift bestowed by Cetera's resurrection is a terrible curse that shall punish any who dare strike him down should the monarch of the sky be slain his body will dissolve into a ravenous swarm of beetles that devour whomever struck the final blow once vengeance has been unleashed the swarm will fly back to kimrie and entered the sarcophagus etc where his body will immediately begin reforming even death by flame will only take him a mere decade to regenerate at most hence why he is most commonly known as cetera the imperishable when looking at the physical prowess etc the only thing that wasn't augmented by his rise into immortality was the king of Keaton speed that's not to say he isn't alarmingly Swift because those who have tried to battle cetera quickly find themselves trying to defend against a flurry of blows this also plays into his skill as a chariot fighter lashing out as he rides by the likes of dragon ogres agates to land multiple strikes in a matter of seconds every skill covered so far could be found to a lesser degree in all of the other tomb Kings though there is one feature that makes cetra truly unique in all of Mahara among the undead royalty he alone knows the secrets possessed by the Lich priests kimra Cara understands their language but to his eternal frustration cetera has never been able to fully master their magical arts the mighty Lion of the infinite desert still relies upon the mortuary cult to raise his vassal Kings and maintain their realms but his small skill at the winds of magic allow him complete autonomy his ability to cast the lure of najara despite not being a natural wizard shows a truly chilling amount of sheer willpower those priests who think they can hold such power over him are swiftly proven to be fools as he tears them limb from limb Sentra's magic is only powerful enough to augment the skills of himself or his warriors but ultimately it provides him with the means to put the Lich priests in their place the final skill to be looked at is of course the eternal sovereign of Camrys legions ability as a general even before his first death cetera was the greatest leader najara has seen before or since his tactics were noted for being especially brutal often favoring sending in his infantry to hold in place the enemy before the chariot legions would come smashing it with cetera at their head the sky would darken with arrows fired with unnerving accuracy to strike down targets while burning skulls that screeched an agony would explode apart enemy formations once the enemy was fully committed by unleashing their greatest machines and monsters cetera would signal for his own constructs to counter from the back lines or beneath the sands attacked from all angles the foe would always have to rally around some central figure capable of maintaining order against such carnage this was when the imperishable would strike once more leading his chariot legions in again and again until he could force himself in reach of the enemy general to butcher them with their leader fallen even the bravest army would begin to rout which always devolved into a massacre few if any would be lucky enough to escape the wrath of cetera and his legions with his skill section complete it's time to move on to the King of Kings famous battle known as the war of sand and snow cetera the imperishable had ruled as the undead king of all najara for over a millennia when an army of marauding tribesmen from the frozen north made landfall on the baking shores of Mecca Cara the barbaric warriors plundered several tombs before the skeleton warriors of Cetera's legions began to rise from the sands to bar their escape even as the Marauders prepared to face this threat the skies began to darken the barbarians gazed to the heavens and a heartbeat later a cloud of arrows fell amongst them that cut down hundreds of warriors in the wake of the volley vast flocks of carrion descended upon the wounded and the dying razor-sharp beaks tearing open throats and bellies the tribes chieftain Baal guard the butcher ordered a savage counter-attack unleashing packs of bloodthirsty war hounds that tore the carrion apart and a frenzied gnashing of teeth Val Garvin redressed his surviving warriors ranks and prepared to meet the approaching skeleton battle line axes clashed with spears that the two forces collided but wherever vulgare fought the undead were Hulme by his axe or crushed beneath the hooves of his demonic steed despite vulgare fearsome skill his forces were vastly outnumbered and his own warriors were growing tired their strength sapped by the punishing glare of the Desert Sun in the distance ball gar could see a single figure emerged through the heat haze a majestic warrior riding forwards on a golden chariot vulgare raised his room covered ax to the air and bellowed a challenge to the newcomer a challenge that was answered with a rumble of thunder that figure was none other than cetra the imperishable and he smashed into the invaders with the wrath of ancient gods driving a bloody path towards vulgare as the two generals collided centra swung his enchanted blade in a mighty arc that decapitated fall gars demonics mount in a single blow even as von Kahr steed was slain from beneath him The Chieftains axe glowed with baleful energy and it was suddenly reeved in sorcerous flames the axe bit deep into Sentra's chest and set his form a blaze before volgar could enjoy his victory Sentra's body exploded into a ravenous swarm of beetle that stripped the chieftains flesh from his bones before flying back to the Great Pyramid of kimrie to regenerate the two kings in mortal form a mist the carnage ball gars lieutenant kagu blood fists stooped down to pick up set rose regal crown before rallying the surviving tribesmen and driving a path through the skeletal shield wall back to the coast only a dozen Marauders managed to survive and escape back to their frozen realm bloodied but rich beyond their wildest dreams it was a decade before cetra re-emerge from his sarcophagus his body restored but his heart burning with the need for vengeance the men of the north had not only dared to enter his realm soiling the desert with their barbaric feet they had the temerity to face him in battle even going so far as to strike him down however most heinous of all crimes had been the bold act of laying their lowborn hands upon the crown of nekara a deed that brought with it a sentence of death center the imperishable would punish the barbarians for their insolence by staining the snows of their homeland red with their blood the king of najara turned to his litter east and ordered them to awaken his vassal kings the combined might of Camrys armies was going to war Cetera's war fleet sailed north towards the frozen wastelands laden with legions of undead soldiers and wore constructs the king of najara swore that only when every last gold coin was recovered and every one of the barbarians who had escaped his wrath a decade ago was slain what he returned to carry each of those men who had become achieved in of his own right each of those men had become a chieftain in his own right with the wealth they brought back from the of the dead securing the much power and many followers several had become champions of chaos and now they led whole tribes of merciless warriors and mutated monsters Cetera's war hose collided with the ironclad warriors of chaos across the entire length of the northern lands enormous statue strode relentlessly through driving blizzards and regiments of skeleton chariots tirelessly plowed through snowdrifts and their hunt for the guilty until thousands of men were slaughtered upon the swords and spears of Cetera's host as tribe after tribe was destroyed dragon ogres were cut down by powerful whoosh opti trolls were turned into pillars of sand by sepulchral stalkers and grotesque giants were slain by the monstrous claws of ferocious necro sphinxes driven by Cetera's unyielding will the legions of najara were unstoppable within 5 years only one of the dozen Marauders remained alive and only a single treasure the crown of Maha Cara remained unclaimed ceteris revenge was almost at hand after a long trek across the hell worm glacier Cetera's legions clashed with the war host of cow ghoul blood fist the last and most powerful of the Marauders and the one who had stolen ceteris crown all those years ago in the intervening years cockles victories has seen him become a mighty champion of chaos imbued with the power of the dark gods whose names men fear to speak car ghoul commanded a great host of chaos for his fame was such that tribesman and war vans from leagues around flocked to his blood drenched banner it was not only the chaos gods who had noticed the deeds of this warrior for there was another mysterious figure who saw in kekulé a soul that might be equal of his own a spirit that could buy his freedom from the tortures of the neck or an underworld so it was that while cetera left the fight against the assembled chaos for carving his way through their armoured ranks another ambush the unsuspecting cogwheel the chaos champion had just finished dismembering a tomb scorpion when he was suddenly enveloped by a swarm of black beetles moments later Cargill fell to the ground his throat having being slit by some form of dagger and mysteriously dropped dead with the death of cagoule the cohesion of the chaos war hosts crumbled the northern tribesmen reverted to their crude berserk nature and they were easily dashed against Cetera's disciplined battle lines the king of all de hakura smashed into the ranks of mortals time and again leaving a trail of fire and death in his wake against this onslaught the hearts of men faltered and the barbaric tribesmen turned tail and fled only to be run down by regiments of undead Calvary that cetera had positioned for just such a task only the armored warriors of the cow's host stood their ground and they fought against Camrys war statues in a clash of steel and stone but when Cetera's chariot legions smashed into the chaos warriors flanks they too were massacred it would be two more days before Cetera's legions butchered the final remnants of the chaos fort the bloody campaign ending when cetra himself charged through a hailstorm to slay a lightning wreath Shagga 'the the snow plains were littered with the bodies of the dead and from amidst the corpses cetera retrieved the blood-stained crown of najara Cetera's treasures had finally been recovered and those who had wronged him now lay dead at his feet such was the fate for any who dared opposed the will of cetera the imperishable alright and with that we have ended the famous battle section or more like a famous campaign section in this case for cetera so it's time to move on to the more ad lib section which is of course the end types for those of you who do not wish to know about the end times or just want to skip it or maybe you intend to read it don't want it spoiled there will be a annotation either somewhere on the street or for you down in the pen comment section to head on to the closing thoughts so cetera has a very important role in the entire that's not as long as some characters but for the time he was around he was incredibly significant essentially at the opening of the end times cetera being the only tomb king who never sleeps he never rests cuz he doesn't have to because he's so willful and powerful he has been awake for you know thousands of years at this point and he looks up at all the skies at the opens and essentially he realizes that the end times are coming he realizes that the gods of chaos are preparing for their final assault on the world and he does not like change and he does not like chaos and he does not like anyone threatening his ability to be immortal when he awoke from from death he decided that it would be the start of his reign of millions of years and cetera had no intention of that being interrupted by the end times so he sends out his Lynch priests to awaken the entirety of najara which has never happened before the last time all of the kings of Maha karo were awake was during the war of Kings went after in the gaseous right rituals spiraled out of control with his death all of the kings of najara woke up and start fighting each other so cetera ordered all the Lich priests to wake everybody up three single King every single Prince every single Legion album so all of them are awoken and cetera basically sends out a series of instructions for everyone he tells the city of he basically sent a series of instructions to each of the cities as part of a grain design so that there would be a big tactic in place for anyone who had tried to attack make acara which essentially was that caleda who lived through the charnel valley she lived on the other side of it from the rest of the Hakadosh she was supposed to essentially abandon her side of things and come support the city of Marek especially because the city of Marek was the city that cetera had the least faith in it was a very important city because it also defended the valley of kings and cetera had always had problems with the city of Marek the first time he had become the king of kings Marek was the was one of the most notable cities that gave him trouble they liked Rebell often and he had tons of problems with them whenever there was a plot to try and overthrow cetera Marek was always someone he suspected being involved they didn't like cetera and also he had very little faith in them and so he put one particular - king in charge that he trusted above all the others and he essentially was just hoping that they would just hold the line if nothing else because cetera just didn't have faith in them and knew that something bad would happen if they did not obey Him with but unfortunately for cetera his his concern would be well-placed King thorak was the one in charge of Barak so going into the end times of course cetera doesn't do anything for the first part you know with chaos Tekken Empire and the resurrection the gash takes place so when the gash awakens nagesh decides that he wants to be the lord of all of death and this leads to the probably most important event that takes place and the first fifth you could think of the end times for the first year of the end times which is the War of the Dead or the Warford najara Sona gash is returned to the mortal plane and he leads an army with all of his more sharks so Nefera rata Archon the black dator helsh net Krell and Luther harken so all but three of them I believe he leads this big army down to najara and attacks it from three angles Luther comes from the ocean Krell and Archon the black come straight out of the north the gash had his own little secret way of getting in and then never and dieter house net was both growl and then Neff errata attacked in the East by reclaiming Lamia because snag a shark on knew that Khaleda would not follow her orders due to her by nagesh which is exactly what happened so cetera is sitting in Cameron he has a pretty perfect plan setup he sent out King Becca - the second to hold the river mortis and make sure that people couldn't just come out of the north to come get camry or they'd have to fight for it he also sent out King far and a bunch of other really powerful - Kings to basically just guard the entirety of the desert and the vampire accounts paid heavily for every single step they made to the desert however the crucial part of Cetera's plan was that the tomb Kings needed to hold Marek which guarded the valley of kings because mark was right next to libraries and if Mara could be captured then the entire eastern part of neha Cara would fall and those enemies would be able to come to the eternal Valley and attack camporee from basically the south so essentially what happened at this point was there was a three-pronged invasion Manfred invaded from the West and fought against King Benesch ii who came out of xandrie Krell attacked south towards Numis and fought against King far and then Neff errata fought in Lamia against Khalid Oh so the first betrayal that screwed their well the first betrayal that happened was that Khaleda and King thorak instead of going west to help defend Marek and keep them under control like they were supposed to both of them king thorak abandoned Marek even though he was supposed to be in charge in its defenses and queen Kahlan and defended libraries even though she was supposed to head west to help because they were both so wrapped up in their own revenge and were generally just didn't give a damn about listening to cetera and defending all nekara so they went north and completely abandoned their works the next thing that happened is in Marek there was a Hierophant who basically caused what remained of that city that hadn't gone to support camry or abandon it to go fight and Lamia they all were converted to the gash or killed in a big little civil war that happened there so their failed come Marek then Archon the black gathered up the survivors of Marek and led them to Qatar and they all ran over to Qatar and being attacked from a direction they had not expected because they was supposed to be protected Qatar was wiped out again the gash was with that part of the army so basically by this point king bed ash had dude Manfred it managed to slow him down until a heart Luther Harkin joined them and the two vampires could combine were too much for keep ahead of the second so he retreated the Camry came far held for a very long time against Krell but eventually crawl into your house that managed to push through and he also retreated to Camry and then finally basically the forces of Pagar came up to camry as well so everything was coalesced on Camry for the final battle and etc cetera was pretty clever however one of the things he did very early in the end types was that he ordered Ram hotep the visionary who is the most powerful and amazing necro tech to ever live Renfro tempt the visionary basically came to Cameron and built a second wall around it that looked like garbage but the reason it looked like garbage was to be revealed so the first army to show up to Camry in the final battle for Nia Cara's sold essentially by this point Nagesh had basically vomited this literally vomited this giant black storm cloud that just hung over Camry and was basically whirl pulling itself into the black pyramid of nagesh because the gash knew if he showed up on that battlefield as powerful as he was he wouldn't be able to get through cetera to get to the black pyramid so he decided to try a different path so he vomited most of his essence out into the winds of magic so that it would get sucked up into the black pyramid of negation essentially be stashed there for him to go pick up and then he did a little special something that we'll talk about in a minute so after this point crevel crowd was the first to arrive at camera with a massive hoard alongside dieter hal Schmidt and he basically just attacks it right away because that's what his orders were so crowds goal was to just try and hurt kimrie at least a little bit and what basically happens is cetera as much smarter than crowd and is quite well he was just a brilliant a better technician than all of the work trucks combined so Krell attacks and cetera doesn't even bother coming outside he basically just tells ramble ramble tip okay activate our secret plan and ramp hoteth goes outside and it's revealed that the second wall that kind of looks bad that goes all the way around memory is not actually a wall it's a gathering of all of makaras most powerful constructs the ones from the valleys of kings and then like the best contracts from every single team city so they all get up and just charge straight the crowds army and Krell's army starts getting just obliterated yeah Rambo Tet basically runs out there and is just helping leading the battle and cetera just kind of sits back and watches because of course because of the crown of dejara etc zone willpower he's essentially able to give orders even from a fairly long distance so and of course you know he uses signals and stuff to issue commands but at this point he doesn't even come in army it's literally just an army of who shopped he constructs and they all run forward and just start bashing the hell out of Krell's army until it gets to the point that dieter hell chantrelle are basically the armies collapsing around them they're in bad shape and at this point Archon the black arrives with his entire army and what Archon does is he unleashes this horrible super spell that basically rips the battlefield in half with a big chasm that basically saves Krell and dieter it buys them a little time at this point Archon kind of joins the fighting to help kill the constructs that are still on their side of the rift while Rambo tab basically starts insanely quickly engineering bridges across the gap by having like necklace colossi lay down so that soldiers can march over them or like you know using his brilliant mind having people you know grab pillars that are the exact right link that place that at the gap and such so at this point cetera sees Archon the black into the battles like alright now I'm gonna get involved because he hates Archon and knows that wherever our Khan is the gash can't be too far behind so he orders his chariot to be brought up and basically prepares to join the battle himself at this point things get a little crazy out there Krell gets killed by a tube scorpion of all things well no crow gets mostly killed by oh right yeah he does get killed by his tomb scorpion he gets cut and then he gets stabbed by its poison and then somebody literally smacks his head off so he gets decapitated and just dies of course he does come back later because we know he fights signaled in the end he's revived later but for the rest of this battle kernels out etc didn't even have to come out to deal with them Archon of course is proven to be much more of an issue his magic is causing havoc so this point central marches out with his full Legion and with the you know all the Lich priests behind him and by the time he gets outside rainbow temp has made a pretty solid amount of bridges across the gap much to our continents and with the Lich priests now helping to counter some of the gash and his horde of necromancer's including leader health dense magics things start to balance out a bit and cetera just rides into the battle it just starts butchering people he's writing over people decapitating people and his tactics in the battle are incredibly clever cetera does a number of things where he basically sends forth his legions to form small beachheads across all the bridges and then he rides his own forces he sent kingfish around the left flank and another King around the right flank who basically just start plowing into people to buy time for citrus forces to get across the bridge while the Lich priests are just constantly of course trying to revive everybody and when cetera finally crosses the bridge himself he just tears a massive hole into the army and he basically just starts chasing Archon black around now at this point in the lore our con the black had acquired his new Steve from the gash which are these horrible giant cat-like monsters that can fly so it's quite a bit more versatile than his chariot was and basically he just starts running away from cetera raining down magic on Cetera's army and he of course occasionally tries to throw the odd spell etc but cetera scarab brooch of the Syrian just keeps resisting every single spell so cetera has to basically just entertain himself riding around chasing Archon because every time Archon planes on the ground cetera was immediately not tappable which prevented Archon from being as effective as he needed to be and meanwhile cetera is of course giving tactics the entire time to his army and having them exploiting weaknesses and pulling flanking maneuvers and having the chariots pull out and cycle charge he does a lot of cycle charging during the final battle for a Camry and at this point things were going kind of mixed but then the two kings unleash the big guns as the battle continues to rage all the caskets of souls are brought out and one of them just blasts arc on the black and he comes spiraling out of the sky and hits the ground and he was on the ground for just a little too long because cetera have been following him of course the entire time and this time when he fell cetera did not waste a heartbeat rode forward and just immediately beheaded archons mount just chopped his head right off with a single blow and on in within the same strike cetera is so freakin fast with his sword that he beheads the dread abyssal that arc on the black is riding on and that immediately switches his sword around to a backhand strike that cuts through archons ribs and burns him horribly so Archon goes down on the ground central rides past him and at this point another character who I will leave a name so they can have their own video a tries to attack Arcana dies which makes it for very angry so such a rides around to get on his chariot and charges straight towards Archon the black and Arcana tries throwing magic atom completely bounces off because of the scared bridge of the Sirian he tries summoning dead in the way aren't cetera proceeds to just run them over and without even bothering to swing at them because the chariot of the gods and then as a final act Archon who has been a thorn in the side of cetera for 4000 years at this point three thousand years at this point one of those two just someone that cetera hates and he's always managed to escape from cetera at the last minute because central could never overwhelm his magic so cetra couldn't kill him cetera was always able to defeat Archon in the gash through superior tactics but magic wise they were just always too slippery so Archon basically summons a cloud of magic around him this is like shadowy ethereal stuff and prepares to teleport away but at this moment cetera give rights close enough and basically just levels the blade of the tribe leaches it's a built-in unleashes its might to the full extent that it just blazes our comp with sunlight and banishes all the magic around him etc Cleaves him from head to navel just completely in half like cetera vertically just cuts him in half so our count the black dies and cetera gets off his chariot chains both halves of Arc on to the back of his chariot and then rides back to the battle dragging Cetera's corpse or not cetera archons courts behind him that are blunt flailing around and hitting people that cetera bride's past etc just starts butchering through more and more people at this point he actually leaves the battle and writes back into Kamri because before the battle cetra knew that this with the end times coming this had to be the final battle he had to defeat Archon the blackened nagesh here and now what's it for all because they were slippery because he had killed them multiple times both of them you know both of them had died before but each time they just simply come back later they regenerated or something brought them back and cetera was tired of it so what he did was he told his Lich briefs to prepare a ritual that would permanently banish a soul to the bottom of the realm of souls where he would never be able to come out ever again so he basically and what the Lich priests told him is what he needed to do was he needed to kill them and then literally ritually drag their bodies behind his chariot back through Kamri - the Lich priests where they would then perform the ritual so cetera does this and he brings archons body butcher back to where the Lich priests are and hands it off to them and says alright you're gonna perform this ritual they say yeah I shouldn't know before he rode off to fight arkhan for the final time she did run into contact during the battle kata blitter lee appears out of nowhere and grant Hierophant contact at this point tell cetera I've discovered a way for you to permanently kill the gash and the only way to do it right is to use a blade called the destroyer of eternities if you hit the gash with this he'll die instantly and of course by telling cetera this information Cod temp had broken his promise to never return to any of the great cities of the Hikaru well not his promise but the the cetera had banished him on pain of death if you recall from the history section so of course he lowers his head preparing to be executed and etc a because the content when he was you know under pain of death and be because he had blocked cetera trying to get back to trying to attack arc on the 'black cetera just kind of immediately decapitated him and just went on his folly and was generally angry at content but went on his way but after he dropped off Archon he started kind of thinking about what concepts said and he drove over to where the destroying of eternities was supposed to be but when he gets there he finds out it's gone so he basically just gets angry at the Lich freeze in the mortuary cult for being a bunch of idiots again and rides back out to the battle in his absence the battle kind of started going south because after cetra left manfred von Kahr Stein and luther harken arrived and both being very very powerful vampire Lords with their own massive army they managed to start turning the battle against cetera as legions but of course when cetera arrives he immediately through tax so very tactical genius starts just out flanking and sending in really powerful things he knows Manfred will personally have to deal with and while Manfred is busy fighting like necro sphinxes and trying to stay away from them cetera just rides up on him and starts just blasting the vampires with just all sorts of nastiness and he cetera returning to the battle basically single-handedly turns it against Manfred at Luther Harkin who started really struggling and once again pick up the tactic of running away from cetera because they know if he catches them he'll just brutally murder them at this point however during the battle it's kind of entering its final phases and it looks like cetera is about to claim final victory however there was one final betrayal he did not foresee you know he was betrayed by thorak and Queen Kaleta recoletta because they went off to fight in Ephrata because they were too arrogant and wrapped up in their own revenge BS to you know do what was better for everyone which ironically by doing that they of course didn't catch Neff errata and she got away and this series of events would lead to them never getting their revenge against her if they had of what cetera had told them to they would have gotten their revenge against never honor so they betrayed the gash but her cetera by not doing what he asked and then the Kings many of the most of the kings of boug are and quote are betrayed in the gash because her back I started betrayed cetera because they awry basically the gash and his minions showed up to their cities and they decided they would rather sight with him then with cetera because they figured the gash was going to win and also many of them didn't like cetera so cetera was pretty furious with a lot of these guys and the final betrayal came from the mortuary cult which cetera never really trusted and he always figured they were full of lies but he did not anticipate them on them just blatantly betraying him inside Kamri and they do so when he dropped off arc on the blacks body instead of performing a ritual to banish our consoles sold to the depths of the realm of souls forever instead that Lich priest killed all the other Latrice and used their souls to instead bring Archon back to life and it turns out the cache had hidden some of his essence inside of archive so the Lynch priests used this power to basically rip the gash out of him which allowed to de cache two fully formed within Kamri so he didn't have to fight through cetera and he didn't have to fight the role of Camrys wards and the gash runs in floats in to go to the temple of Assyrian the god the god of the underworld and basically he goes to the underworld with a few of his assistants and he kills ooh cerium gana the god of the underworld and using the nine books of the gash with the help of dieter helsh net the doom Lord he takes over the underworld the realm of souls so at this point the gash basically rips his way out of the realm of souls back into reality right at the gates of Camry so everybody can see him and basically he just shows up on the battlefield and his power at this point because he's devoured ooh Syrian is so over-the-top and so magnanimous that basically all of the two kings and the vampire count undead just freeze because he basically shows up and starts just oppressing everyone with his will but cetera being essentially the willful just unyielding badass that he is just roars in defiance and his will basically is a spark that just reignites the entire tinking army and they just start fighting as hard as they can against the legions at the gash while cetera just starts barreling right towards them at this point cetera orders Sentra's mind just snaps into action and all of his infantry basically hold back the tide while all of his archers and shabti archers start turning and firing the gash and the gash was it anticipating resistance like this right away so he starts taking damage because he's not immortal or invincible at this point he's powerful but he's not invincible so he takes some damage of course unleashes some magic to just instantly kill and evaporate all those archers then what a construct charges up and the gash basically dominates the construct and throws it into the tomb Kings battle lines and then a group of spearmen charges him and it's at this point that the two kings realize what exactly the gash has done which is one of the Lich priests tries to resurrect some of the Fallen tomb guards that are charging the gash and literally chokes on his words and all of the Lich priests do this and they realized that nagesh has cut them off from the realm of souls with assyrian dead that gash is now the lord of the realm of souls which means that he's not gonna let the Lich freeze raise anybody back up so now the two kings can't raise any of their dead so they're in a really bad position all of their offensive and defensive magic works but the resurrection magic is completely gone now so basically the two kings realize that if the gash doesn't die they're doomed so the Lich priests are totally useless at this point so the tomb guard rushed the gash and he kills a few of them with magic and they basically get up to manage to just start stabbing the hell out of them because although the undead arcs although the gash is trying to dominate the undead Sentra's willpower is just blatantly overpowering the gashes and any of those who are loyal to cetera just keep fighting without a care for how this is gonna end so the gash takes more damage and then kills all of those tomb guard and at this point he searched trying to cast a mega spell to deal with cetera but Princip office pops up behind and stabs him through the back with the destroying of eternities now unfortunately because of what Nikesh has become at this point the destroying of the internet destroyer of eternities does not have the power did not have the power to just instantly kill him anymore it wounds him horribly but it doesn't kill him so he gets impaled but he basically turns around just kills pops and at this point cetera is almost right on top of them with a bunch of chariots so the gas turns around and just unleashes blow after blow after blow of death and undeath magic just obliterated carries you know turning them to dust exploding them with chasms of bone summoning up you know hands beneath them to grab at them and only three chariots make it intact to Nagesh so it goes from like two hundred chariots to three one of which is cetera is one of which is his Herald and one is this other random one so the random one gets blood up cetera swings the blessed blade of patron right in the gashes head the cache blocks it with his staff but when the blade makes contact with the gaseous staff it explosion of sunlight which just instantly banishes all from the gaseous magic away from him and the gash is kind of in trouble at this point and they got a set Rose Herald tries to stab the gash and basically just doesn't do anything and falls over and plays as a witness to the final battle so central rides past the gash at this point the gash is magic defensive magics have been banished from because of the blade he's been stabbed repeatedly shot repeatedly and he basically collapses and he's down on his knees and cetera starts coming around for one final charge and this is this is it this is the moment of all moments to decide the fate of all Undead and the gash starts preparing one final incantation so at this point cetera realizes that one of two things is about to happen either the gash is going to try and unleash a super spell and kill him or nagesh for once in his miserable eternity of a life can fight an honorable combat and see if he can bet cetera so etc is charging at him cetera basically calls the cash out and says you're a coward you're a traitor at least in this final moment to show that you have some semblance of dignity and fight me one-on-one right here right now in personal combat you don't you prove that you're worthy to defeat me and the sector chooses to do that instead of preparing a counterspell because cetera knows enough magic that he can basically throw up a kind of a meager defense but he puts his faith in the Scarab root of a Syrian and instead decides to challenge the cash to be a man essentially but of course the gash is not having any of that because he's terrified of cetera and also considers himself too high and mighty to accede to that it's just too much of a backstabbing bastard and so he unleashes just this horribly powerful spell designed to just destroy everything in a straight line in from them and it hits the chariot of the gods and we discussed earlier how powerful the chariot of the gods is and it just instantly evaporates it just completely collapses into dust and all the magic holding it together is just dawn and it hit cetera etc is basically so willful and stubborn that it just bounces off even though the scarab brooch of Assyrian is completely not helping him at all at this point it's it's gone because new Syrian no longer exists of his protections no longer exists and cetera basically runs towards the gash and brings the Blessed blade a patrol round to stab him in the face and Nikesh know is if this blade hits him he's dead there's no coming back from this he's too weak so with his final effort he basically summons a bunch of spirits that just grab on etc and so many of them pile on cetera etcetera can't see them that essentially cetera just gets immobilized and he's just he's just stuck with his blade hovering inches away from the gashes face and the battles are so at this point the gash rises up to his full height and turns around and as a gesture of showing I went unleashes the magic that causes the black pyramid to rip out of the earth and start floating in the sky which is of course now a pretty iconic image and at this point he turns around etc and basically says I've won you've lost I have the Lord of Makara I am the lord of the realm of souls I am everything but I didn't come here for neck Cara I only came here for the realm of souls and to have all of the undead under my banner and the cash of course asked him that being said I've humbled you now cetera I've beaten you at long last but if you're willing to serve me and to be my more Turk you are the undisputed king of all najara if you will simply join me in my fight against the gods of chaos and so cetera kind of just continues being super angry as hetra does and then he looks at the gash and of course says the very iconic quote of cetera does not serve sector rules and the gash says very well and in a blaze of green light just snaps all of ceteris bones just obliterates him into cinders and lets his corpse drop and then the gash floats out of Kamri turns around and uses his magic to literally beat the city of Khepri into the dirt and just completely eradicated until nothing but rubble but generously I'm saying rubble is left he destroys all of it as an example to those who would think of fighting him again now this is actually not the end of cetra story after cetera is torn apart by nagashi he's actually not dead he's still life because obviously he's centrally imperishable but he has been torn to shreds he is conscious though and we read that Sentra basically sits for weeks after nagesh leaves awake and alive and he's facing the east so he sees the Sun Rise every morning and he's basically just sitting there wallowing in rage about everyone who betrayed him about how it can't end like this he's cetera he should not have lost in the gash and but it starts reaching the point that he kind of just wishes he could die because this is health this existence and there are like carrion and vultures that are starting to get closer and closer to his bones because they want to eat him but cetera has like enough of his jaw left that he could just yell at them and they run away but they're getting bolder because they realize he can't back up his threats and cetera realizes my bones are gonna get eaten by Birds scattered to the four winds and I'm just gonna live like this but at this point he reaches enough of a low when he wishes that he was dead that something happens and basically this powerful strange wind blows through the area he's in and turns into a whirlwind and he hears the laughter four voices laughing and suddenly he's reassembled like he's completely put back together is completely full health and he's just generated with a ton of power and he feels stronger than he's felt since wealth millennia and kind of is confused for a moment and then he realizes it's the dark brothers or the chaos gods and they say to him you don't have to not be a king anymore you know the fight isn't necessarily over you can be a king again and the gash the story of the book the gash ends with cetera looking off into the sunset which is probably one of the most beautiful pieces of artwork from the end times in my opinion and it was a very nebulous cliffhanger and that's the last we see of cetera until the very end at the end times and what it's revealed happens not in one of the major books born in the minor books is that cetera makes his way to midnight after archaeon has conquered it and cetera offers to fight for our count essentially and our categories to allow him to fight for him and so cetera basically doesn't he doesn't take orders from working out he just ends up wandering the city as he pleases and he arrives just in time for the art theme Carnot's to launch their assault against our town at midnight in the very final battle for the fate of everything and during this final battle for the fate of everything after the gash kills throg the troll king a basically a big old giant walks up behind depending on the basically a giant walks up to Archon behind Archon that we're gonna doesn't see and basically reaches down to just squish the life out of them and practically out of nowhere cetera jumps into the fray and uses his blade to just completely chop off the Giants hand and then immediately turn around and just decapitate it so he's just two shots a giant easily and he turns to the gash and the gash at this point is pretty concerned because cetera because the gash literally says to cetera I did not resurrect you this is impossible and Arcon and the gash are really tense at this point because they cannot afford to fight sector right now because cetera especially with the chaos God's having buffed em essentially as they did it powered him as they did cetera is pretty scary at this moment however cetera tells in the gash essentially that etc is very strong believer in cetera does not serve and when the chaos gods remade him and said hey why don't you come work for us he was so insulted by the gesture that he went all the way to midnight and waited for an opportunity to basically spit in the chaos gods face so what he tells the gash is essentially I know you have the power to stop what the cows gods are planning so if you promise to go stop the Dark Gods of chaos I will spare you for now and the gash finds this amusing and you know way that someone is stereotypically evil as the gash does and basically floats off to go fight so etc basically tells him go show the dark gods what happens when they try and dominate over those who rule you know go show them what happens when they mess with the sons of Mecca cara and then he turns and the last time we see him as he goes charging into battle against the Shagga 'the as for the death of cetera it never happened on screen so to speak it was never explicitly detailed we can assume that he died when the when the chaos rift exploded and basically devoured all of creation that's most likely when Sentra died cetera was so absurdly powerful during the final battle that I honestly do not believe there was anyone anything that Kaos had at the time that could kill him I think it would have taken our count one of the biggest baddest champions till a central oh and none of them were available for that fight so we can feel pretty confident that cetera was just consumed by the void which happened to a surprising number of characters it's not the most amazing death especially when it happens off screen but sometimes that's just what we had to deal with and that concludes the end times section for cetera so hopefully you all enjoyed that alright and with that we're on to the final and thankfully easiest section of this long video at long last closing thoughts section so sector the imperishable is a very iconic character especially with his addition in the end times the he was one of the few characters who had an excellent arc in the end times and was very well written GW paid great respect to his character and his lore and he was just excellently well done and he was a character who really rooted for a lot of people root for despite the fact he's kind of an arrogant bastard really in the end though by this point of course he has made his way into total war Warhammer and is a very iconic and fun character so the closing thoughts section isn't actually too long because they don't have to theorize that much about him as far as how he is Total War I like the way they portray etc he looks great he plays pretty great my only gripe s' which my minor gripe with him is that the chariot of the Gods is not as well represented as it needs to be the charity of the gods was the penultimate mount for the two kings it was this terrifying war machine or chariot that would just ride into battle and just murder everybody and it hit like a truck and inmate cetera terrifying in battle currently in total war it's an expensive chariot that does not feel very heavy and also does not hit very hard and in addition because of the way that anti large works until the war which wasn't a thing in Warhammer Fantasy ante large I mean it existed but there was it it didn't exist on Spears and halbert's I'll tell you that it was not it was a rare trait it was not something that like every single army had blatant access to and because of that things like chariots especially a lone chariot on a character like cetera and a lighter chariot like the charity the gods compared to you know like the rates are for chariots really struggle in total war Warhammer I would really like them to give it a physical resistance save or even award safe which brings me to my major gripe with cetera my major crime etc is that the scarab brooch of Assyrian which if you've listened to the entire video you probably realized that was a very very crucial item to cetera the imperishable its it might not be the most flashy item but it's the most important in his story doesn't exist in the game at least to my knowledge everywhere I've looked everywhere I haven't been able to find anyone who's acquired it it doesn't see cuz if you look at like the High Elves and the Dark Elves Malekith tearing at eggless for instance some of their items are not quest items but they're still in the game so you can get the the armor of Malekith for instance you'll get a quest eventually where it's like go do this quest and you get this you know you get your legendary armor which is fine it's not as exciting as a quest battle and certainly not as but it's fine they really need to do that for the scare bridge it doesn't have to have a quest battle I understand that quest battles are apparently quite difficult to make and I acknowledge that and respect that but at least put the item at the game and it would be nice if it had an active effect that just gave him physical resistance and magic resistance or you know just weren't safe for like a time period or something just something to make cetera really feel awesome or you know they could just put in the campaign and have it just give them a straight board save and magic resistance because if it's in the campaign it can afford to be a bit more powerful so that would be my one major gripe etc is that he is that item at the game it's so upsetting to have really interesting items missing from the game and like I said don't even have to be quest item just just put in the game other than that cetera plays great he does quite well a multiplayer he's very fun to play in single player especially because the more you build up your economy the more you unlight unlock of sectors full title which gives him just it's saved bonuses which I love the more you restore nekara to its to its grand pinnacle as like the ultimate civilization the more crazy Center gets and his buffs are just massive I love that he can't be vassal eyes he can't be Confederated so that they did a fantastic job etc they just paint above the chair to the gods a little bit or reduce its price one of the two and they need to give him the scare bridge those are my only two thoughts or comments on him but other that I hope you all enjoyed this lore video of cetera the imperishable end up being a pretty good distance I think we made like an hour and 15 minutes before the end time
