Sephora VIB Sale Top Picks for Fall 2020! Rouge Starts Today!

[Music] hey everybody it's angie and welcome to hot and flashy in today's video i've got my top picks and also a peek into my cart and what's on my wish list for the sephora vib sale so the sale is november 5th the whole thing ends on the 9th and there aren't too many exclusions most things are included in the sale so it's a great time to stock up on makeup and skin care or get that special gadget you've been wanting for a while at a pretty good discount and it's also a great time to get christmas gifts and stocking stuffers i always get a few things this time of year so let me go into the things that i use and i love and i can highly recommend and then i'll give you a peek into my cart and let you see what i'm buying in the sale this year the first thing that i always recommend picking up at a discount in the sephora sale is the new face it is my favorite skin care gadget i've been using it for about three years now i love what it does for my skin it's a microcurrent device i have the trinity and basically what the trinity means is that you can pop the heads off so you press this little button here this guy comes off and there are two other heads that can pop on now of those two other heads my favorite is the ele attachment and if you have the trinity and you haven't gotten the ele yet this is a perfect time to purchase that attachment and if you don't have a new face at all this is a perfect time to get one i would only get the trinity if you think that you would actually get the heads that pop on and off if not i would definitely go for the mini because it's substantially less expensive but it does provide this exact same microcurrent wavelength as the trinity so there's no difference in the power it just helps to firm and lift and i don't know just gives me like this little mini facelift and especially the ele attachment if you have the sagging drooping hooded eyes it really helps to lift the brows and to lift up that hood it is a temporary treatment so you do have to do it quite often and if you're not the kind of person who has the time or who's gonna commit to something like that then i say save your money and use it for something else one thing that's in my cart this year is the foreo bear so it's a new microcurrent device and a lot of you have been asking me about it and asking me to try it so i put that in my cart now there are two models of it just like the new face there is a more expensive model at 299 and then there's a mini at 199. the difference between that and the new face is that the bear also throws in sonic pulsations so i thought that sounded pretty interesting to use the bear they do have a serum that they sell with it but it's like sixty dollars an ounce and i looked at the ingredients i didn't see anything in there that seemed like really super fantastic that i needed it so i'm assuming it will need a conducting gel in which case i will probably just go ahead and continue to use my new face gel primer with the bear because i use this with the new face and it works perfectly for me this is my favorite conducting gel for the new face this comes in three different sizes there's a two ouncer that's fourteen dollars there's a five ounce tube that's thirty dollars or there's this big guy which is 48 for 10 ounces even at full price it's 4.80 cents an ounce versus 60 an ounce that they're trying to get for that fourier gel i mean i think that's just ridiculous so it makes this look like a really good bargain and actually this does seem like a really good bargain once you break down ounce per ounce of buying the big size so i always buy this in the sephora sale one of these will last me generally longer than six months one of my favorite things to always stock up on the sale is my clinique take the day off cleansing balm this is the first step of my double cleanse and this is an oil based balm and this is so great to get off your makeup or any tenacious sunscreen that you have a hard time getting off oil is the answer for that it doesn't irritate my eyes and it also doesn't really coat my eyes with a big oily coating so that is my favorite first step of my double cleanse and i always pick that up all right i don't really buy much skincare at sephora beyond the ordinary but the ordinary is excluded from the sales but of the few things that i do buy at sephora that you can get at a discount one is the it confidence in a gel lotion this is a really nice lotion that contains ceramides and so i love it that it has those and it's also a really soothing really super lightweight lotion so i tend to use this sometimes in the summertime instead of the cerave which of course is much less expensive than this even at the 20 discount but some people have a problem with cerave for different reasons and want something else that contains ceramides and this i would say is one of the better ceramide lotions that you can get and then my other skincare thing that i've been using from sephora for years is the drunk elephant tlc sukari baby facial so this is a beta hydroxy acid and alpha hydroxy acid mask that you put on you leave it on for about 10 minutes and then you wash it off and i do this about once a week usually on a sunday night and then the next day next couple of days my skin is so baby soft nice and smooth and just looks better and i don't know i just something about this i just love it and i've been using this for years so i highly recommend that so last thing in skincare is something that i'm buying that's in my cart it's the dr dennis gross spectralite mask this is an led light mask it has two different modes one for anti-aging one for anti-acne the anti-aging is red light the anti-acne is blue light and i'm interested in this because i have been using an led red light plus infrared light mask for about five or six months now since the spring and i really love the thing it costs about 229 on amazon and i can link that one below as well but i was interested in the spectralite because it's a much shorter treatment so the led mask that i'm using it's like either 10 minutes every day or 20 minutes every other day with the spectralite mask though it's only a three minute treatment so i was like and it looks like it's a lot more lightweight and more comfortable on the face so i just wanted to try it it is a lot more expensive at 435 dollars so i just want to see if it's worth the big price difference so i'm buying that all right let's talk makeup now and let's talk foundations first so i have discovered three really great really skin like foundations that look beautiful on mature skin in the last year and they're all sold at sephora so if you're looking for a really great foundation that will look natural on your skin not look heavy or cakey or like a mask of makeup or cracker won't crack in your wrinkles and make you look older have i got the foundations for you so i think my favorite of the three is going to be the estee lauder futurist foundation i discovered this one about a year ago it is so beautiful on the skin it's everything i just said plus it's long wearing on its own so i absolutely love it i mix two shades 3n1 and 2w1 together to get the shade match for me it does have kind of a limited shade range and that's the only con against it but it's very hydrating so if you have dry skin it could work really really well for you then the next one is one that i just reviewed about a month ago it's the it cosmetics your skin but better foundation plus skin care and this is a beautiful foundation and it's kind of going back and forth with this guy for my everyday foundation i wear this a lot this has a lot more shades to choose from it's a lot easier to get a shade match in this than it is in the estee lauder it's a little more satiny i'd say than the estee lauder but it still is natural and skin like and looks gorgeous on my skin it just doesn't wear as long as the estee lauder i gotta say though i mix these together a lot and i love them mixed so i'm wearing them mixed today and then the third one that i tried recently that i really liked a lot is the rare beauty foundation from selena gomez this is a really nice foundation very comparable to the two i was just talking about what i love about this one is that it's kind of smoothing on the skin i found that i didn't really need a primer with this one to make my skin look more smooth and less textured and that is a big thing for me it's not as long wearing as the futurist either now i discovered a new product this year that helps to increase the wear time of any foundation it worked well with the it cosmetics foundation it worked well with the rare beauty foundation the product is the charlotte tilbury airbrush flawless finish setting spray the best part about it is that it doesn't change the finish of the foundation it doesn't make it more matte it doesn't make it more luminous it just keeps it the same it is full of fragrance is my only complaint about it but i still love it i've still been using it a ton and of course you know picking up charlotte tilbury products that you love is always a good thing to do with the sale i do have a charlotte tilbury product in my cart it's the bronze and glow palette it's just two pans a bronzer and a highlighter i'm gonna get that some other charlotte tilbury things that i can recommend are the hollywood flawless filter this is the highlighter you can use it under your makeup for a more dewy finish what i like to do is put it on top of my makeup as just a highlighter like on my cheeks you can see this beautiful highlighter i have going here today that is from this but it's such a huge bottle that this will last you forever and then the last charlotte tilbury thing is the hollywood contour wand i picked this up over the last six months and i really like this this product kind of scared me at first because this is the light medium shade i just want to show it to you here for a sec that's the light medium holy cow look at how dark that is but what i love about it is how sheer it is when you rub it in so let me just you know blend it out here on my hand and you'll be able to see that it just blends in beautifully so like who knew that you could take something that was so dark and get it to blend i love the shade of this it's not too warm or red or orange or terracotta-y it's just a really nice color i have it on today for my bronzing i put on my forehead under here did a little chiseling of the jawbone with it and i like it that with this wand you put it exactly where you want it and then you just blend it out and it blends in so perfectly and then it looks so sheer and beautiful right next are a couple of eyeshadow palettes i wanted to recommend so the first one is the natasha denona glam palette i would say that this is probably one of my favorite palettes of the year this year it's a nice big palette it feels substantial it's got a really nice big mirror in there and the colors are just beautiful i just love the shades in here i'm really into the muted neutrals that this has it's got a nice mix of mattes and shimmers if you want to see my full review on it i'll put the link to that right up here i also did three looks with this palette in that review so check that out if you're gonna buy it so you can see how to use it i use this palette today to do this look it's my go-to gray silver look out of this palette but it's so versatile because it's got enough warm shades enough cool shades and the shimmers are in a few different tones so there's pink shimmers gray shimmers and gold shimmers so you can do three very distinct very different looks with this one palette and i had never bought a natasha denona palette before this one because most of the palettes that were this size were 129 and that was just besides the fact that the colors didn't work for me that was just a little much for me to spend on an eyeshadow palette but when i saw this one at 65 she made me think that like 65 was such a bargain because it wasn't 129 right so i was like oh great the prices have come down so i you know preferred the price point on this one but you know if you're rouge and you have the 20 off and you've been waiting for this then definitely pick up this palette would be a great gift to you from you i know if i didn't own it already i would be getting it in the sale and sliding it into my own stocking this year but if you're looking for just a basic eye shadow palette one that i love at sephora is the sephora i love palettes these come in a few different color ways but my favorite one is the light cool palette these are great little palettes the quality is excellent they blend so beautifully and you can do an everyday look or you can ramp it up for night they have formats and three shimmers very muted colors but very beautiful tones that work well together now one product that i'm always telling you about and that you see me using just about every single tutorial are the marc jacobs highliner gel waterproof eyeliner pencils these are hands down the best eyeliner pencils that i have ever used they stay in place they don't budge they don't transfer to your other lash line they don't dribble they just are perfection and the range of colors that these come in is just fantastic so these are my four favorites this one is lunatic this one is irony this guy is overnight and this one is in the buff so i mainly use in the buff and lunatic on my lower lash line and irony and overnight i use on my upper lash line these are 26 dollars a piece so that 20 off is going to be key but i just noticed on the website that they have a mini version of these they don't have all the shades i think there's only three or four shades but they're only twelve dollars so if you ever wanted to just try these to see if you like them as much as i do then that would be a great way to do it as a less expensive alternative i also love the sephora eyeliners one is the sephora contour eye pencil 12 hour waterproof and the other one is the sephora retractable eyeliner which is also waterproof this one is in the shade slate and i'm going to put it down here right below overnight to show you how similar it is to that color this one in the sharpenable pencil is in blonde ambition this is a really good dupe for marc jacobs in the buff here are the marc jacobs versions on the top and here are the sephora versions down below so pretty similar not exact but once it's on your eye you're not going to be able to tell the difference and even if you're not a sephora vib and you're just looking for some good picks i mean these are 10 bucks every day of the year all right last couple of things in makeup i discovered a new primer this year that i absolutely love it's the beauty blender the leveler primer and this really does the job of disguising your pores and your texture you can just put this right on over your sunscreen and just go without any makeup and it really perfects your skin and makes it look great but it also works really well under foundation like most poor filling primers that i've tried you put them on and you immediately see the difference but the second you put on your makeup the illusion is completely gone and this one actually stays once you put your makeup on so it actually smooths your pores i mean i'm not saying it's going to make them completely disappear and make you look airbrushed but it's going to make your pores look better than they would without it so loving that it works great with any of those three foundations that i showed you a minute ago and then my favorite eye shadow primer is the fenty amplify primer so i actually just bought one of these in the spring so i don't need a new one of these it's not in my cart but i highly recommend this this is my favorite eyelid primer if you're going to do any kind of an eyeshadow look you definitely need this to keep your eyeshadow from clumping up in the crease and from fading throughout the day and it also helps it to blend a lot smoother and a lot more evenly a couple of other all-time faves that you can pick up in the sale are the it cosmetics bye bye pores powder this is my holy grail setting powder it's a loose translucent powder and it is the best powder for setting your under eyes it doesn't add any heaviness it doesn't add any dryness it doesn't make your wrinkles look worse i use this to do all of my concealer testing throughout the year and to a concealer it makes every concealer look better it makes my wrinkles look better it makes the concealer last longer it's just amazing stuff so if you haven't tried that yet definitely pick that up and then of course my favorite under eye concealer that i wear with the it buy by pores powder is the lancome mackie complex concealer this is hands down my favorite concealer i've tried so many concealers i did a new concealer testing video a couple of months ago i'll link that here this was the winner which was nice because it's my tried and true my holy grail so it just kind of confirmed that it really is the holy grail for me this is their hydrating formula so it's not going to dry out your under eyes it's sheer but it offers a lot of pigmentation and really good coverage it doesn't crack in your wrinkles doesn't settle in them doesn't look dry and gross by the end of the day and the shade that i wear it in is 220 light buff and a lot of people say that they have trouble finding light buff and it is a shade that is available on sephora and then last thing in makeup is a new product that i just discovered when i did the rare beauty foundation review is their blush this one is in the shade joy this is such a beautiful blush and you get a ton in here it's just a really easy open cap with the way that this is shaped but this blush is so beautiful but i gotta say it's so highly pigmented don't take the doe foot and just dot it on your face because you will end up with way too much put the tiniest dot on the back of your hand and then take that up onto your face i have it on today i just think it is such beautiful blush and this blush really lasts all day and it has such a nice sheen to it on its own i mean yeah i have highlighter on over it but it's not quite as blingy as this is it but it's not matte either it just looks like beautiful healthy glowing skin all right guys the last thing that i'm going to recommend because the holidays are coming and people are looking for a good gift idea 20 off is a pretty good deal to get on this because it hardly ever goes on sale and so many people have been asking me about it lately so i think there's a lot of interest in getting it this year and that is of course the dyson air wrap this is like the porsche of blow dryers shall we say i mean if there is such a thing like you know everything dyson makes is super highly engineered also super spendy i wasn't 100 thrilled with the air wrap part of it but the rest of it everything else is a hundred percent love love love and the only thing that i use to dry my hair now the main thing that i use all the time is the blow dryer attachment this is like the rough blowout attachment and this is as powerful as a full blow dryer so it's all i need really to dry my hair of course i have fine hair so if you have thicker hair it might not work as well for you but this thing is so powerful that it just dries my hair super quick super easy so i do my rough dry with this then i pop that head off and i use this paddle brush that came with mine and this has really been the game changer for my hair so i just pretty much like brush this through my hair and it dries it between the two things it takes me only like 10 minutes to dry my hair and it actually looks good whereas before i would struggle with a round brush and a regular blow dryer for like 20 minutes and my hair wouldn't look good okay so let's take a look at my cart and see what i've got in here most of what's in my cart i already talked about like the clinique cleansing balm i want to i wanted to try this super goop cc screen it's 100 mineral spf 50 pa plus plus plus plus and then there's my new face gel that i already talked about and my shampoo i didn't mention my shampoo the
