Boeing hit problems pushing pieces together with excessive force to make him appear that the gaps don't exist even though they exist. Boeing says it encourages all employees to come forward but also says that Salo's claims are not accurate. The company invited media into its South Carolina plant just this week to explain more about the testing that goes into quality control for the 787 dreamliners. The company also says that an internal quality control tip line is being used 500% more this year.
