our journey continues here in Jerusalem with a search for the Ark of the Covenant Legends have placed the Ark in Far Away places like Ethiopia or Ireland bebian Chris Mitchell spoke with one researcher who believes the ark might be a lot closer than people think the Ark of the Covenant was a symbol of God's presence among the Israelites a visual reminder that the one true God had made a covenant with them God revealed himself to his people at the Ark of the Covenant when Babylon sacked Jerusalem in the 6th Century bcee the ark disappeared in the thousands of years since its Fate has styed readers of History Believers scientists historians and archaeologists searched for it at all costs but for a long time there was no progress however the latest scientific discovery can make you admire when it almost gives a guess about the location of the Ark of the Covenant according to the Bible not everyone has the right to touch this Ark of the Covenant but why can scientists is there anything mysterious here I invite you to watch until the end of the video to discover this thing is it really found many scientists say they have followed the last traces of the Arc of the Covenant to search for this sacred object take Ron Wyatt's discovery Ron Wyatt claimed he had found the Ark of the Covenant and its Ten Commandments buried under the remains of the old city of Jerusalem since escaping Egypt and settling in the promised land the Ark of the Covenant was supposedly kept in the Holy Temple also known as Solomon's Temple 600 years before Jesus's death the Babylonians under Nebuchadnezzar invaded and destroyed much of Jerusalem including the temple it is at this moment in time that the Ark of the Covenant became lost to history when the Babylonians began their attack they built a huge Siege wall around the city so that nobody could get in or out in response the Israelites built many tunnels so that they could move about the city without causing alarm many of these tunnels still exist today and ancient artifacts have been found in some of them before Wyatt argued that the Ark of the Covenant the most sacred Jewish artifact was hidden in an underground chamber which was then sealed and forgotten besides Ron there are also many other scientists who say they have found the ark that has been missing for thousands of years and of course when this sacred chest was found everyone looked forward to the moment scientists opened it is what they saw in the ark really what is described in the Bible what if scientists open the Ark of Covenant the first thing that scientists would want to do is establish whether it was the Israelites Arc of the Covenant or one of the identical religious boxes or arcs used by other Northwestern Semitic ethnic groups it would be an essential first task even though they have been understood Through the Bible the moment they witness the Ark of the Covenant scientists will be amazed the ark stepped out as if tearing out a book and appeared Before Their Eyes the ark was indeed overlaid inside and out with pure gold with a molding of gold around it the lid of the Ark is called The Mercy Seat placed above the lid are two golden cherubim statues their wings spread out and their two cherubim faces facing each other and looking at the mercy seat it considered the most sacred part of the Ark the ark had four rings of gold with two rings on each side a pole of acacia wood overlaid with gold was placed into the Rings to carry the ark these poles for transportation were to be permanent fixtures and never removed surprise passed away once the scientists have opened the ark let's see what's inside the ark but before that let me challenge you with a super simple question to see how much you remember about the Bible the question is what are three items stored inside the Ark of the Covenant a Scrolls coins and jewels B tablets of the Ten Commandments Aaron staff and a jar of Mana C gold bars ceremonial robes and a crown D sacrificial animals incense and oil time to think okay I am sure that most of the audience who responded gave the correct answer so let's see how scientists were surprised by what's inside the Ten Commandments were also placed in the ark this showed that the moral law of God would forever stand before the presence of God it also represented that the law would be kept in Christ he would fully obey all the commands of God for his people you know the three important artifacts inside the ark were the Ten Commandments Aaron's budded staff and Mana as a contain vessel the ark carried artifacts that spoke to key moments during Israel's time in the wilderness the second set of stone tablets represented the law the Old Testament standard of righteousness Moses smashed the original tablets in Exodus 32 after the Israelites made the golden calf to worship the Mana in the Golden Bowl represented the life- sustaining food that God gives his people in Christ when Israel was in the wilderness the Lord sustained them with this mysterious bread not knowing what it was they called it Mana means what is it when Jesus fed the 5000 he said Moses did not give you the bread from heaven but my father gives you the true bread from Heaven the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the World the Flesh and Blood of Christ is life- sustaining food for the believer ver the rod of Aaron was the same Rod which God turned into a serpent before Pharaoh however the moment noted more significant by the writer of Hebrews was the budding and flowering of the rod in numbers the people of Israel began to Grumble against Moses and Aaron's leadership and the Lord had just struck down a group of rebels to prove the chosen priesthood of Aaron and his line the Lord commanded the tribes of Israel to set out 12 staffs with Aarons representing the tribe of Levi the tribe God appointed to the priesthood they left them out overnight and behold the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth Buds and produced blossoms and it bore ripe almonds for the Israelites this Rod represented the line of the priesthood and one more important thing attracted the attention of scientists The Mercy Seat was set on top of the Ark when the priest went into the holy of holies he sprinkled the blood of the sacrifice on The Mercy Seat this represented the atoning blood of Jesus Israel's sin formed a barrier between God and them our sins have also separated us from God God must look at man through the lens of the law on account of his Holiness how can unrighteous man stand before the presence of the righteous God the Dilemma is resolved through the blood of Jesus just as the Blood On The Mercy Seat the blood of Christ stands between the law of God and the presence of God when the Lord saw the blood his wrath was satisfied through the blood of Jesus the transgressions of God's people have been forgiven now the Lord sees Believers not through the lens of the law but through the lens of the Gospel the Ark of the Covenant is more than Biblical history it is mythical who who can really touch the ark the Ark of the Covenant as the physical manifestation of God's presence and supreme power ancient Israelites marched the ark into battle and brought whole cities to their knees because the Ark of the Covenant was so holy only certain people were allowed to touch it or get close to it the ark was so sacred that touching it meant instant death and once it was laid to rest in the temple of Jerusalem's holy Hest chamber only the high priest was allowed in its presence and only once a year to cover the ark or uncover it you had to be of the sons of Aaron to move the ark you had to be born into the tribe of Levi the Levites were made the Royal Priests of the Covenant and They Carried the responsibility of caring for all holy things in order to move any of these holy things you then had to be from within the tribe of Levi one of the descendants of Kath only descendants of kohath could carry or move the holy things but only after they had been covered correctly then to move the ark it had to be on very special poles not on a cart of any kind if anyone else touched them or carried them incorrectly it was considered irreverence the penalty for irreverence is death you cannot be alive if you could not prove you were of the sons of Aaron or descendants of kohath if you touch the ark it's true I am not one of the sons of Aaron nor am I a descendant of kohath from the tribe of Levi therefore just like uza I would die no matter the reason for my touching the ark I would not survive and maybe you too of course if you are a descendant of Levites this is completely different or you are a special person chosen by God in theory it is impossible for normal people to touch the AR of the Covenant but if that is God's will things are completely different we can think of it like this the Ark of the Covenant the spiritual connection between God and his people has been lost for too long of course he didn't want everyone to be able to see it and touch it because that would cause chaos and that's not what he wanted most likely God chose special people to represent his people in meeting the Ark of the Covenant and and then recount what they witnessed to his children so that their children could feel reassured and confident in the truth your return then he will appear with the Ark of the Covenant until now following the Bible the person God allowed to touch the ark of the covenant could only be a levite when the Israelites were allocated land amongst the 12 tribes the Levites did not receive land instead they lived scattered throughout Israel and were regarded as being examples of how to live devoutly because the Levites did not have land they could not farm and were supported by the other Israelites who would give 10% of their produce to the Levites in a system of tithing today about 4% of Jews are of levite Heritage one day out of the year on the day of atonement the high priest would enter the holy of holies in the Tabernacle and later in the temple after it was built and he would sprinkle Blood on the top of the Ark of the Covenant The Mercy Seat The Mercy Seat was over the tablets of the Ten Commandments which was inside the ark when people sinned the law was broken which required God's judgment but when the blood was sprinkled on The Mercy Seat this act demonstrated that the blood activated God's mercy and that Mercy triumphed over judgment which mentioned in James 2:13 without the blood there would be no mercy the ark was so sacred that no one could touch it God commanded in Exodus 25:14 that it had to be carried on poles and only by the Levites who were the priests there were rings on the side of the Ark and the priests slipped the poles through the Rings to carry it if anyone touched it they would die Levites must carry the AR Ark by using two wooden poles inserted through rings on its sides as touching the ark itself will result in death at the hands of God according to the second book of Samuel the levite uza touched the ark with his hand to steady it and God instantly killed him another theory about the location of the Ark in addition to the information that scientists have found the Ark of the Covenant there are still many theories surrounding it another persistent Theory posits that the Ark of the Covenant has been safeguarded in the church of Saint say Mary of Zion in axom Ethiopia according to this Theory menelik Y brought the ark to Ethiopia during his visit to Solomon in Jerusalem tradition claims the ark remains hidden in a chapel within the church guarded by a line of priests support for this theory is largely drawn from Ethiopian history traditions and religious practices each Ethiopian church has a replica of the Ark known as a tabat and the Ethiopian Emperor's lineage has been linked to Solomon and sheba nevertheless the lack of external verification makes it challenging to confirm the authenticity of this claim the Copper Scroll a unique document among the Dead Sea Scrolls lists 64 locations where gold and silver items likely from the Jerusalem Temple were buried or hidden one intriguing aspect of the Copper Scroll is its suggestion that the Arc of the Covenant might be concealed near the Dead Sea possibly in the vicinity of kumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered the scroll implies the presence of the Ark but does not provide precise coordinates what do you know about the ark's final resting place just as scientists may have found the location of the Ark of the Covenant God may be giving signs and guidance to his chosen people to find the lost treasure thousands of years now but whether he will allow the presence of this Ark to be announced publicly or not is unknown or he only showed Humanity the sacred Spirit of this Ark not physically like Ron he was adamant that he had witnessed the Ark of the Covenant but something strange happened that prevented him from taking photos or videos of the Ark of the Covenant he said that when he returned to the above location to collect more evidence Four Angels stood before him and said that it was not time for the world to see this discovery with their own eyes that time was approaching at that time there will be a universal religious law enforced worldwide therefore to be able to witness or touch this Ark with your own eyes you need to wait for God's approval and in the meantime let's go back in time a little to see what happened at the moment that was said to be the final appearance of the Ark of the Covenant the last mention of the Ark in the Old Testament is 2 Chronicles 353 then he said to the Levites who taught all Israel who were holy to the Lord put the holy Ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built that is the temple this happened during the reign of King iiah about 630 BC One of the most well-known theories about the ark is linked to Ethiopia's 14th Century National epic the kbra nagast according to this account the Queen of Sheba visited King Solomon in Jerusalem during the 10th Century BCE and had a son by him on her journey home their son named menelik returned to Jerusalem once he was of age although menelik ultimately chose to go back to his mother Solomon sent with him a company of Jewish Sans but unbeknownst to Solomon or menik these companion frustrated about leaving Jerusalem decided to take a souvenir of sorts the Ark of the Covenant it was too late for Solomon to retrieve the sacred vessel menelik brought the ark with him to the city of AUM and with the ark at his side he later conquered several surrounding territories for what would become the Ethiopian Empire the kast and its account of the Ark are major parts of Ethiopia's National History although many scholars now believe the text to be apocryphal Ethiopia's medieval kings called the solomonic dnasty claimed direct descent from menelik and Solomon this dynasty ruled until 1974 and their biblical connection was codified in Emperor Hal salassi the ferns 1931 and 1955 constitutions apart from the Ethiopian government the country's largest religious denomination the Ethiopian Orthodox teaho Church understands the Cabra neast to be legitimate Christian history according to church leaders the Ark of the Covenant has for centuries been closely guarded in axom at the church of St Mary of Zion not even the high priest of axom can enter its resting chamber it's sole custodian is a virgin monk who cannot leave the sacred grounds until his death the ark's influence though is felt throughout the Ethiopian Orthodox World each one of their Church's houses its own tabat a sacred replica of the Ark tats are kept in the kest kusan OR holy of holies and are only taken out during festivals and times of need indeed each TBO is venerated as if it were the ark itself despite being an integral part of Ethiopian Orthodoxy the nature of the ark's supposed guardianship at axom has made the church's claim to ownership unverifiable most historians think that if it existed the more than 3,000-year-old Relic either disintegrated over time or was destroyed but this too is only speculation for many the final fate of the Ark remains a fascinating mystery and a perhaps unsolvable one the symbolism of the Ark reached its Grand climax on the day of atonement when the blood of the sacrifice was sprinkled on The Mercy Seat the glory of God appeared this was a picture of the Heavenly glory of God there Angels stand before his throne and praise Him day and night it was also a picture of the restored presence of God through the resurrection of Christ when Mary Magdalene came to the tomb seeking the body of Jesus she found two angels one at the head and the other at the feet where the body of Jesus had been the presence of God has been restored to the believer in the resurrection of Christ the things of redemption are the things which Angels long to look into
