I started going down the rabbit hole of watching these "scamming the scammer" videos and am curious how you can access their files? Don't you need some sort of password or when they're connected to your computer, you're also connected to theirs automatically?

Also, what's keeping them from just going to their recycling bin and undeleting those files?
