summer is fading away and we just barely got our permits to continue the garage expansion I'm closer to giving up than I am to finish it the race is on to finish Excavating so we can pour concrete before winter you guys remember from my excavation of the sewer line I'm basically a professional there shouldn't be any issues I broke the water line today is also a big good buy all right there is a little more just wiping down that needs to happen in here and it needs to happen today and even though it's the right choice neither of us are ready to face reality foreign [Music] guys it's 8 30 at point which is really exciting because up until this point all he could do is like Grunt and scream at you and so now he can point at things however he's always just pointing at fans and the ceiling actually now I can say where's dada and normally he points at you and then I say where's Mama and he points at the lights he likes to point up but anyways everything is pointing up today because we are going to finish the trenches we have a tiny bit of work left to do on the far side of the garage and then the three trenches to dig on this side of the garage I do have to work around water lines so it might be a little bit sketchy but the objective is to finish the trenches today yeah shoulders [Music] out of 78 no this one needs to be skinnier right maybe 20 plus 36 something I mean it's close it's an absolutely beautiful day it's 50 degrees it's clear it's crisp it smells like fall ah we're not wasting any time we're getting started Excavating getting these trenches ready for forms and for walls here we go [Music] [Applause] things are moving so fast this morning we are almost about to connect the trenches so that it's like one big moat basically uh Trent's just getting in place right now [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] well we got the one side basically all dug out Brandon is over there just kind of leveling out one of the last Corners that we can't get to with the machine I'm gonna come over here and start digging we do got to move that extension cord but also this side seemed like it would be an easier side because there's like only these two water lines that we have to worry about um on the one side but honestly over there is going to be extremely challenging because it's like on this huge slope and there's nowhere for the machine to sit like parallel to the trench if that makes sense so I have to like dig perpendicular to the trench the entire time and that is going to be very challenging so the good news is at least you can do it in a machine you don't have to hand dig this whole thing yeah that would be an absolute night yeah it is also just kind of like a soupy mess because it rained last night so it's pretty muddy and uh it's just gonna be a little interesting [Music] you're sinking all right well Trent and Brandon are moving over to the other side of the garage and while they are working I am actually stepping into Terry here we go hi Lika all right there is a little more just wiping down that needs to happen in here it needs to happen today [Music] well we are selling Terry we need to get her out of the way she's just sitting in the driveway winter is quickly approaching and so I'm doing a little bit of last minute cleaning and trying to just Spruce her up a little bit everything works everything's in really good condition if we had a little bit more time I think we'd just spend more time cleaning her that's like pretty much the only thing that I'm not super satisfied with so I'm gonna spend a little bit of time today just dusting vacuuming mopping wiping everything down one more time just to make sure she's fully ready to go and ready for another adventure [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you guys are taking no breaks today I'm like most of the way maybe like 80 60 of the way done cleaning Terry I took a quick break to pump and it's looking really good on this side in order to put the dirt well um what what are you gonna do about that I don't know I just have to dig an enormous like seven foot wide trench right here that's 24 feet long these are only 14 feet we might end up like just having to hike over those rocks to get in and out of the house because I don't think I understand maybe uh so all this dirt all that dirt and all this dirt is from that 14 feet wow it's another 24 feet of that just like don't have anywhere to put the dirt or maybe I have to do the trench in the front which is probably all just going to have to go in the driveway wow on our driveway and all the rocks and we're gonna have super muddy time at least it'll look good when it's done that's scary doing Terry looks really good she's uh almost halfway there yeah cookie oh wait hold this I just go straight up you just have to walk yeah go go go go go nice the day is going a little slower than anticipated it's 12 30 right now we've got one trench basically dug all the way [Music] um two more trenches left and both of those trenches have water lines in them wonderful wonderful uh it's because you already ate two of them hey dang it I shouldn't have taken that stab at you yeah Karma of course we parked in the most difficult to reach location possible for today but you guys probably can't tell it's so clean in here it looks so good this entire wall everything to that point is clean um I'm gonna finish wiping everything down mopping dusting and then I'm gonna scrub the toilet and the bathtub and I think we're good to go [Music] [Applause] now I feel adventurous with you and there is nothing that can hold us back hold us back we can do what we want to do all right a few hours have passed actually and I have made huge progress on Terry it's basically clean I just need to fill up a bucket with some fresh water to mop the floors and uh rinse out the tub that's like pretty much the last thing and then Terry is ready to go I broke the water line it's just what happens when you're using an excavator and you have a tiny little plastic pipe in the ground they just they get broken and the biggest problem is that digging this trench for the footings I had to dig perpendicular to the water line so like the chances of me breaking it we're really high we already have the couplings to fix it we have the extra pipe I'd like I anticipated this so all we've got to do is finish digging our trenches repair the line and then things will be back to good as new it's a good thing I like you how close are you to being done I'm closer to giving up than I am to finishing [Music] my work on Terry is basically on hold until we can fix this water line and like Trent was saying earlier we have to excavate extra so that people can put forms to pour concrete in these walls that we're about to have installed so all of this will get back filled all these huge mounds of dirt are going to like go back into their original resting place eventually or like the majority of this dirt will get back filled back into its place but for right now there's just these enormous mounds of dirt that are literally taking over the entire driveway and front stairs so you can't even walk outside the house it's definitely uh much bigger than I was anticipating but hopefully I think they're almost done so there might not be too much more dirt out here we'll see [Music] what are you doing in here speaker what do you smell there's some mice in here probably our next big project is definitely to clean out Rusty organized and uh hopefully downsize everything that is being stored in this trailer we'll save that for another day though where is it broken over here now we're trying to like remove the whole line that goes from here to there or buy more parts [Music] [Applause] [Music] I think we got the big hole huh [Applause] [Music] be honest with me how bad is it as well the water break oh it's totally fine I'm just going to throw this stop and waste valve on the line okay so we can shut it off so that we can turn the water back on okay okay so I'm not gonna freak out too much it sounds like uh Tran expected that this might happen he was prepared to solve the issue hopefully he solves it soon the good news is it's a beautiful day and it's not super hot out so could always be worse it could be raining you know how's Plumbing going well we just have this extra valve laying around so I'm trying to put the valve on the end of this pipe so that we can close it so that we can put water back to the house okay we can finish digging out this corner we got like 30 minutes to do this got an appointment tonight sending Terry on a Jet Plane and uh this is a promising it's not promising no ready up oh because instead of stopping it was just wasted it doesn't make any sense did I Nick this [Music] I don't think so unless when you're scooping it it kind of pinched it maybe that's where our Cesspool is coming from [Music] so we put the Stop and waste valve on tightened everything down turned the water on and we have the Stop and waist valve backwards and there was also a separate crack in the pipe so now we've replaced the part that was cracked put the valve on the right direction hit it Brandon for no leaks yeah she's on no leaks looking good cool I mean that's just a Band-Aid that's all getting cut off and replaced but great now you at least have water in the house oh great okay wash your hands do whatever you needed to do I would love to wash my hands okay I just got to finish digging out this corner okay and it looks terrible but then maybe we're done okay [Music] the water line is fixed the excavation is done we're ready for forms and for concrete but our day is not done we are doing something I've been honestly delaying for as long as possible Terry is fully cleaned out and I've procrastinated on that as long as I could but I needed to get it done today because right now we are going to drop her off with her new family and honestly just close the chapter on all of our adventures with Terry a Bittersweet end to like a chapter or an era we've spent a lot of hard times in Terry I mean we went through our first and second winter or most of the second winter up here in our neighborhood and like it was just it was this place that we like nestled down and thrived and like I just I love it and I'm gonna miss it was a small disaster oh it's dripping oh it sticks forgot that I don't fit into the shower head we're being invaded there's freaking Mouse poop everywhere I'm gonna start leaving them some butter cookies no [Music] she's not exactly the situation I expected us to come home to not going to be a lot better than this [Music] [Music] time for Terry instead of sitting and rotting to be passed on to somebody else who's going to take Terry on all kinds of Adventures it's a nice little family that's going to go explore and travel we're really excited to pass Terry on to them [Music] all right well things are coming to a close here we just called Paul and his wife and child who are on their way over here to meet us at this Petco and they are going to be picking up Terry and taking her away from us and we're really excited but like I said earlier you know it is a little bit Bittersweet they are on their way down here right now I cannot even believe it I'm always in charge of packing the diaper bag pack the diaper bag did not bring wipes realized it halfway through our drive and I was like oh it's fine I changed his diaper right before we left the house it's not a big deal we've gotten here and he has a massive blowout and it's like Stained on his pants and there's no wipes so I could maybe like change his diaper just not wipe him ew it's better than the it's better than what it is right now anyway we've got a unique situation taking place here and uh we're gonna try and handle this the best we can and we'll pick you guys up in a few [Music] how you doing hello nice to meet you should we get out yeah let's get out her and trying to just unhitched and pulled away for the very last time I think like multi survival tool things and it has a screwdriver on one of the corners I did a lot of cleaning today but the one thing that I forgot to do was take off this very important piece of artwork don't know if this is gonna work dang it it's too it's not gonna work s trying it anyway we have a look he's trying it's like Go Daddy go [Music] we almost didn't get the picture of Frank it was like mounted on the wall and we forgot a screwdriver so luckily they had one we only had a screwdriver and was able to undo it for us oh I love this picture in case we've forgotten anything else in here just take it in for a second a lot of memories in here I had my entire pregnancy in here uh we like built this out and moved into it right as we started uh building on our property and we had just gotten married and we moved into this and we were still living at Trent's mom's Farm we lived out front of your grandparents house for a while and then we towed it up remember how much of a headache it was Towing it up to our property getting it all situated and we were planning originally to live in our van while we built our house and luckily that didn't happen because this was such a better option and it worked out so perfectly yeah time plus man time flies laughs [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] we're
