[Music] so hey friends it's carol saltbox stitcher this is video i think number 22. um i just got done recording with brendan laura my dear friends from chicago and i was their special guest so i was quite honored to be a part of their video and i thought well got the makeup on i'm dressed not in my pajamas so it's time for me to do my own video too so anyway i had really kind of wanted to video earlier this week but it's been kind of crazy around here i don't know why it just has so um i thought today was a good day to go ahead and get that done so i do have some finishes i have a lot more haul than i thought but you know i'm still getting a few i still had a few things come in that i had ordered for market so anyway let's get started and i will show you the things that i have finished first and um well first let me tell you what i'm working on i um in my let me move my coke or i'm going to end up having it all over everything in my red house collection last time i showed a piece that was part of that and now there's quite a few people that are kind of enthused to stitch this and it is called the jane baxter 1838 and i love this piece not just the red house there's just some turkeys some sheep there's no over one the words are all over two i just think it's great and it is by victoria rose needle arts so i started this friday i started it i'm pretty sure it was friday friday night i think and this is how far i've gotten i went all the way around with this vine border i'm part of the way around and it's going to be pretty big this is 36 count parchment old part old weeks but this is a fat quarter so it's almost as big as a fat quarter almost but i went all the way around with the vine last night i worked on stitching both sides of the vine border and then i put in a little a few leaves and um when brenda showed hers i thought to myself mine my purple this is old purple paint right here and this vine struggling here this vine is done with weeks dove i'm pretty sure it's weeks yeah dove and um but it's gonna work the the leaves i think are endive and then the there's gonna be flowers that are red and that's ruby slipper so it's really gonna make that pop when those um flowers get put on there so anyway i went all the way around with the vine working on the other and this is just mindless stitching to me when i'm just going you know around so i'll get that done first before i get into any of the motifs and stuff so that's what i started friday i worked on that part of yesterday and gonna keep working on it i'm also hoping [Music] i didn't get it out but i'm hoping to do the over one on esther edison by jesse and me which i actually finished in february but i haven't done all that over one so i need to you know buckle down and do it i actually received nine quilts on a friday i kept getting texts and phone calls people said i know you're home probably so can i bring a quote by and by the end of the day i had gotten nine i already had six in the queue so that's 15 quilts so this week i'm going to be doing a lot of quilting so anyway um and that's all good that's all good pays for the retreats that i don't get to go to which is sad so sad anyway and these are the colors for jane baxter so you can see even though it looks kind of light when you add those reds and um one of them in here is mountain mist which is going to be pretty it just really ends up having a really pretty look so anyway i'm excited to get into some of the colors on that so that's what i'm working on and now i'll talk about what i finished so um the first thing i finished this month was april wordplay i'm not super thrilled with the colors i used for the floss cording but i put a green on the back and so i thought well and this is a lighter green this leaves and so i thought oh i'll try to match that i did get it done in time to put it out for part of april and i need to work on the may so maybe sometime this week i'll take a break from jane baxter and work on may i'm trying to do one a month and so far this is number two so i have 10 more to go so this is done on 35 count abasidarian by rnr reproductions and that is actually the called for fabric i'm doing mine flat i know a lot of people i think the original picture has it stuffed and then has a piece of ribbon like to hang it but i really wanted to be able to put mine wherever maybe eventually in a basket when i get them all done i just love the idea i think carol from sampler farm was the first i saw doing this she put them all in a basket and the first one is the current month so you would rotate it each month but until i get them all done i'm not doing that so they're really go fast the only weird thing is sometimes you're you're actually stitching these like sideways from you know how the letters actually look and so in order to keep your stitches the same it's just different to stitch letters sideways but it's kind of fun the may one i think has a flag on it for memorial day i think so i'm anxious to start on that and i have it all kitted ready to go so that was my first finish and by the way since i'm talking about this cording i like the blue color i'm just thinking this greenish is a little brash somebody had asked me about the little winder thing that um to make cording and i follow vana's the twisted stitchers tutorial and it seems like every time i make it i have to go back and review it because i don't make it you know every day but somebody did ask me what you use and this is what it is it's crying custom quarter if they don't have it i mean i know nobody's shopping in stores right now but um you should be able to find it online and this is what it looks like has that little hook it's not battery or mechanical it's i mean it's mechanical it's not battery or electric it's just a little windy thing and as you wind it goes around twist recording um but vana twist is teacher she has a wonderful tutorial on that even doing the two color um she has one that's on one color and then i think you have to go to making a simple ornament and she shows how to do a two color one so anyway somebody had asked about that i wanted to make sure that i um covered that another thing i wanted to to finish in my red house things was this shall i compare thee to a summer's day by blackbird designs this went really fast but if you notice here in the let me see if i can get a better picture in the book it was probably done by alma and her name is alma adams so she this could be her first name or her last name and then she has the date up here 2016. since it's an adam and eve to me to do an a almost seems like you need to put an e over here for eve or i guess this is adam and this is eve either way so i didn't really want to just put a big c or a big w which would be either one of my initials so i wasn't sure what i wanted to do with that but i used the called for which was winter's brew although i used 36 instead of um 32 that it calls for and all the called four colors and here is my finish i really think i'd kind of like to have this framed or frame it myself so what i did was i put a c over here and a w over here so at least i had two initials and then 20 20 up in the corner it is a lot of stitching on the house but i thought it went pretty quickly actually so anyway that's a finish and i have two more things i finished um now those were starts and finishes on the april and on the shall i compare the this i had started last year this is merrily merrily and when i picked it up i still had to finish the last two rows of alphabets and then all the stuff underneath on the bottom part of the motifs as well as fill in on all the flowers so i did have quite a bit left to do but i have that finished and this is one i definitely want to frame and let's see what i did this on because i know i did it on the call four 36 count oaken here's the pattern merrily merrily we welcome spring by blackbird i usually just call it merrily merrily and here it is again so these are things i finished since my last recording which i think was about three weeks maybe i don't know i always think i'm gonna do it sooner and then i lie and say i'm going to when i don't sorry okay um my next finish this is one that i've had kitted for a long time and it's such a feeling of accomplishment when you get something out and finish it that you've had languishing in your pile of to-do's and this is the little red chair sampler say that on there little red chair sampler by the scarlet house i did this i wrote it on the back so i'd be sure and remember i had a piece of 36 count vintage metal roux by lakeside it was actually this cover model stitched on 45 count metal row mine's on 36 so it's a little bit bigger and i kind of got motivated to do this i was watching country stitchers liz and uh deb and deb had pulled this out and she was actually stitching it on 40 or 45 or 46 count and she had seen it finished somewhere and so she was motivated to um stitch it and so i thought well i have that i should just stitch it and it really went a lot faster than i thought it really i got it done in like a week i was so surprised it went so fast and that included having to rip out this side of the border twice i ripped the whole border out because i was doing it one night while i was talking to friends and i just didn't concentrate and i hate it when you are off and then you figure out where your mistake is and it's like a long way away so you gotta go but i didn't there was no way i was gonna leave it so i ripped all that out and then i kind of set myself to each night doing or each day so this took me like a day and a half the rose took me a day and a half and the big pot of flowers took me about a day and a half so then the others were just smaller motifs and i love it i think it turned out really nice it's not huge it's probably seven by ten something like that and i remember when this first came out which was 2014 and i don't i guess i didn't i didn't get the silks out but it calls for gloriana silks um six of them and it was the first time i'd ever bought gloriana silks so that was really monumental since then i have added to my collection but i was really happy with how it turned out so and the pattern's still available i think tanya from the scarlet house said as long as she's alive her patterns are going to be available so so that was my stitching finishes and then i had another small quilt finish and this is by the same it's in the same book this was a country sampler kit that i got last year the same with the one i showed on my last video it's from that whatnots book by kim deal that i talked about last time and this one is called one i think i think it's called stella blue and i love it this one i actually have a small quilt hanger in my my long arm room and i have it hanging in there and that's the back a lot of my own quilts i just do a small meander because when it's washed and crinkled i and put in the dryer i just love that look it doesn't have to be fancy quilting for me and in fact a lot of the quilts that people bring me they just want a simple meander a lot of people do um a lot of quilts for valor i guess they are although i think the actual quilts for valor has specifics on sizes and all of that a lot of people just do them for veterans and they just give them away which is really a wonderful thing to do so hi quilterman that's what they do um next i have hall i i don't i don't know this is like craziness are we all doing this there's a kitten picture said people are buying women by the yard now i haven't done that yet but i have bought fat ass let me see if i can take this out that jane baxter that i'm working on is by victorian rose needle arts i'm i have that jane baxter is the very first one i've ever done but i love this sampler it's called sheep may safely graze alice smith 1841 and i think it's gorgeous i love that border is that not beautiful so i ordered this and um there's a couple places i think kitten stitcher has it on her site one two three stitch has it and i ordered the dmc to go with it and it's just a lot of soft muted colors i think it's going to be gorgeous the house is sort of reddish so i think it counts i've also decided if it has a house it's can be an exception even if it's not red you know if it has a white house or a yellow house or a blue house like merely merely had a blue house and i i want to stitch all red houses all year but i don't know if that's gonna help i keep seeing other things that attract my attention and distract me from other things i think that's gorgeous i'd read you the verse but i can't it's too small there is a little bit of over one some things in the sheep some parts of the bird and i think the cartouche that has her name is over one so just need to get over it and get with the program and then um the dying to stitch retreat was um scheduled for mid-april and it was canceled with all the craziness going on so i ordered a couple things from them i think mostly i ordered some threads some npi threads and i also got i told her i wanted two fat halves of some kind of grayish linen in 40 counts this particular piece is nantucket brew i love that love it earlier when i was talking with brendan laura we talked about grace bridges which is a stacy nash design and jen's stitching niche has it on one of her walls that sometimes she will video from and this would be the perfect fabric for it nantucket brew because it's gray it's just beautiful the other piece i got was weathered shingle which is a lighter gray but equally as beautiful and that's pretty true to the colors that it is so just love it love it love it love it so those were two pieces of fabric i got and then i had waited a little while for these patterns but they finally came so i'm happy this is the um hane sampler i think we're going to just have to get them out of the package carol because the glare is horrible this is the hanes sampler by annie b's folk art i love this piece and it has a red house i would love to do it for my daughter and put their name i don't know that whit church is going to fit in there i'd have to leave out the established and the date and scooted over which by the way did y'all know there is a wit church england in the county of shropshire shropshire shropshire shropshire and you can actually go my husband was youtubing with church england and they have like people that have like you know made videos of drones going through the i have to go there hello my name is carol witch church and here i am in which church england even though i married into the name i think it's essential anyway i love this piece i haven't really heard that much about it but i think it's gorgeous and i think it didn't get it to do the verse says the lord made the family and within it he dwells so you definitely need to put you know names family members you know some of it's kind of cutesy but i'm okay with it i think it's adorable and a fabulous red house just fabulous so anyway i just got that but it was released at market annie b's folk art um i have a couple of i thought theresa koga just knocked it out of the park this year at market for somebody that doesn't cross stitch obviously she does punch needles she's a fabulous artist watch her videos she's just lovely and kind of humorous which i'm always in favor of pet all the dogs now in my lifetime i have almost always had a dog but we don't have one now i have um my son they have a golden retriever which is my granddog my daughter has a couple dogs but i don't know they're just not as endearing to me is probably because i've had two goldens and um then i've had in my life three karen terriers so i either had big dogs or little dogs karen terriers have all the hair you know they're around their eyes they're really cute but anyway i don't know since i don't have a dog if i'll put pet all the dogs i know everybody's in favor of that because obviously there's dogs all along here which are fine but i don't know that i'll i may just put my initials or my name or something i know for some people they're like what you're not gonna put pet all the dogs what are you anti-american no i just don't have any dogs right now so i've only had one cat in my life and i loved her she was a scottish fold but in my um what i started to say was um i don't know if i finished that thought what's new um the dying to stitch retreat was supposed to be mid-april so during that time laura who on instagram is maude and mozart um aka the serial starter with brenda we kind of came up with this idea that we should um post on instagram that anybody that had been a part or should have been a part of that retreat that they um reach out and order something from dying to stitch having been in corporate retail i know what it's like to build up your inventory for an event whether it's christmas or whatever um i used to buy for children's wear and you know you just built up your inventory for easter and you know times when kids would be more dressed up so in the same respect i know that especially coming off of market a lot of these stores that were planning on having retreats had built up their inventory and then when the retreats cancelled you know they need to recoup that so i thought it would be great and i'm hoping a lot of you did reach out it's not too late it didn't have to be during that specific time but you know make sure we're supporting our local stores the online shops as well but especially the brick and mortar that are paying rent or you know that have a built-up inventory from a scheduled retreat that got canceled sassy jax is another one um country sampler is canceling well not canceling they're kind of reworking their retreat into like a zoom event but anyway if you can i know a lot of people are out of work on unemployment and they're probably like i don't have the money to go support my local needlework store i need to buy groceries and i get that i get that totally get that my husband and i retired so life isn't really all that different for us right now other than not getting to see the grandkids um i did go the grocery store the other day but you know i have a tooth i need to have take something done too and so you know when all that gets settled i'll take care of that but you know for the most part our life is pretty much the same so if you can support your needleworks do it you know it's it's good this was another thing i got from dying to stitch let's stay home there's a couple people that have finished this already nicole's needlework i think just posted this morning that she had finished it so i know it's a fast stitch this little part right here is over one but how adorable that little house so i really do want to start this and i did get it kitted so and it's kitted with i think it's winter brew which is the same fabric that i use for that um shall i compare these to a summer's day and that was a lovely piece of fabric to work on really really nice i loved it okay since we're on a theresa koget i guess the last one was brenda gervais with a new one's red stay home in stitch that was the name of it did i say that i don't know who doesn't love this this was just gorgeous i had kind of waited for this for a while too and it is big on 40 count it's 17 by 10 but abs that border is stunning just stunning and the little sprinkled alphabet and then the butterfly moth whatever newcastle bouquet by theresa koga such an artist fabulous fabulous designs i'm really thrilled to see all these and i think she gave us a little bit of a tease on instagram that she has one that seems to be kind of patriotic coming out soon have to be a must so then i was watching the attic their um new flosstube where jean and carolyn kind of tour the store and um since the store's closed give people an opportunity to see some of the things that they have and they mentioned that they had done a silk conversion for that newcastle bouquet so i decided i needed that and the colors are stunning on this let me see if i can do a little bit better two shades of red this beautiful green well actually two shades of green how beautiful so i had a piece in my stash and and the um i put it back in the plastic but you know it's kind of done on a darker goldish type fabric i had a piece called graham cracker from um theresa kitten stitcher that her son i think this was dyed by her son yeah graham cracker fabrics 40 count graham cracker and that's pretty true to what it is it might be just a tad darker in person but i thought these colors are just going to be stunning on that it's dark enough that the light is going to show up and the vibrant reds and greens will be just beautiful so to me that has a little bit of a christmas feel not totally but enough that i'm okay waiting to stitch that so if you're interested in the silk conversion call the attic or email the attic um they had all that on their it wasn't their most recent flosstube that she talked about this conversion i think it was the one prior to that so maybe like number four i'm thinking maybe no anyway and then like everybody else i had to download i actually downloaded both the little gems but this one i have the printed sarah spencer from hands across the sea this is one of their little gem i thought that was gorgeous and that also would be a fairly fast stitch i don't think it has over one the border is very similar to the border on sarah redfearn by scarlet house i'm not sure what kind of flowers there are those are supposed to be so don't ask me i can't identify flowers animals birds so brenda and she mentioned i think she mentioned hers this morning on there this afternoon whatever time it was their um plus tube that she had gone to poop and frame which is a i don't know if it's an online store only or if they have a brick and mortar and she had ordered the silks [Music] and can you see it now and the 37 count corn tassel which is legacy linen it's by um access commodities it's a wonderful lemon and the average soil silks so these will be for that sarah spencer the little gem i'm really looking forward to starting that doesn't have a red house but i told you there would be exceptions right okay okay here we going still going um when i got the silks from the attic [Music] nothing travels alone we know that i also got this pattern and it's called poor la fit do you like my french with a spanish accent which translates for your party um i want to say somewhere back in january maybe i was watching a um gary and vana fiber talk i think they were actually at the attic my mind isn't serving me my memory isn't serving me right now but i think they showed this on the wall this is actually like 700 stitches but it is gorgeous it just has that very kind of refined beautiful look with this little bit of blue right here how beautiful is that i don't have it kitted i just got the pattern and it is by jdl lindsey lane designs love it but 700 stitches means um it calls for classic color works weeks and gentle art but only like seven of course most of what you're using is the holly berry and a little bit of the teal um 713 by 318 on 40 count linen it's 30 almost 36 inches which means you're gonna have to buy a full yard or do it on a higher count because a fat half is only 36 and that doesn't give you any margins now it can be it could be a skinny skinny half which would be 18 by no i don't know if that would work i think it's 54 inch wide the linen is usually 54 inches wide so you'd need a piece 18 by 54. that's a skinny half yeah or a regular half if my measuring is if i'm thinking right i do have a piece of um oh i can't remember what the color is called it's kind of whitish it's by access commodities it's a legacy i want to say it's like um jersey cream maybe is the name of it and i could certainly use that and just do a little bit of a tea dye or something to get it a little buttery more buttery color that's not on my immediate radar but it's so beautiful and then i don't know if i showed you that i have the consider the lilies and i am working and working and working to get all the threads um i'm still missing a few i am going to do it on the same fabric that nicole is doing hers on which is the 40 count dusty road went in by seraphim beautiful color if you haven't checked out nicole's needlework her flosstubes or her blog she has nearly a fourth of it done i think so the only thing the other thing i have i was gonna i'm toying with buying the verisoz for this but i haven't i haven't zoomed yet as laura says but i love this ann thomas i've had the pattern for maybe a couple months anyway love it and then finally i don't know why i'm so late to the party but i finally jumped down the victorian motto into the water i jumped in i'm getting six of the um i struggle with changing the colors you know you can give me a quilt pattern and it's all done in brights and i can translate it to my colors easy easy easy but somehow on threads or flosses i get a little bit nervous about changing colors from the called four but this is the first ones i've gotten i'm getting six of the primitive colors each month beautiful and obviously the value is wonderful so then i decided well what really started it was i wanted to be a part of the um victorian model linen club of the month and this is the first i'm getting a fat half of 40 count this is called vintage sampler i don't know if that's the name of it this is the first one i've ever gotten so i don't know if she names them individually or if they're all called vintage sampler and they'll just be different beautiful absolutely gorgeous so that's that that's my haul so i'm not doing mania today is the um third of may and if i wasn't starting it well i mean i guess i could say jane baxter i'd started on let's see it was friday may 1st yeah but um i look really tired i need to go take a nap i didn't i never used to take naps never never never in the older kid it's like i really like taking naps but i do stay up late at night so that's my excuse but i decided to do and if i was doing mania so this is my non-mania mania choices and this is what i would be picking i don't know how many there are here i just grabbed ones that i um i thought would be a fun theme for um my non-mania and first of all oh i was going to show this this that shall i compare thee to a summer's day this was the other project that was in that book in case you're debating on whether to buy that book and this one i made a while ago beautiful so that was over there and i just forgot to show it i think it would be really fun to do mania based on stitching themes so i'm going to show you some charts that i've pulled now this one is called queen of the needle this one is and i think my i had a thread that was from but i think when i stuffed it it came undone i need to re put a little from the strawberry or the tomato to the eye of the needle anyway queen of the needle it's by with the needle and thread it's a very quick stitch i just put some red rickrack on it when i ffo'ed it so it's filled with sawdust which i love sawdust so that was one that kind of got me the idea i did this within the last couple months and i thought what fun it would be to have a theme of stitching and there's quite a few things out here so i'm just going to show you quickly and then i'm going to be done because i feel like i've been videoing all day this is the first one a lot of people have done this so sisters i'm just going to have to resolve to taking these out of the bag because the glare's too much this is by plum street this has been out for quite a while um let's see if there's a date 2017 still available it's adorable just fits my little shape here so that's one so sisters i have it kitted and i think it's probably kitted with the called for because it calls for stars hollow blend which is an r and i think i don't have it on a ring but how adorable so that's one that i really wanna and it still has that same stitching theme uh the next one is by heart string samplery and a lot of people have done this one and i also have it kitted with i don't know what it's kitted with calls for silk weaver but i don't have it was it's called cross stitch i belong to the cross stitch nation some people have put this in a drum which is really cool too anyway love love love that it's kitted and this looks like meadow roux or pecan butter one of those i think it was a scrap that came off of a bottom of a sampler but it's would look great i need to do it cross stitch nation nation by heart spring samplery beth twist um the next one and this is this is some of the threads that i recently got from dying to stitch i had ordered the npis i love this the embroidery stocking i have i don't have all of the stocking um patterns but i love this all of my scattering moments are taken up with my needle miss sarah hansen by kathy barrack and this takes um i think i have again there again i think it's like vintage maybe sand dune even and this is a 36 count this is a fat quarter i'm doing the 36 because i want it big and i don't have the threads on a ring but they're npis and there's lots of good colors and um let's see here's another one if you can see this i'm not going to take it out of the plastic whoops this is another kathy barrack called good intentions my myself have made are made now i myself am made entirely of flaws stitched together with good intentions with the thimbles the scissors i don't have this kitted a lot of hers call for npi which is needlepoint silk and i have enough that um once i pull them i probably won't have to get that many more but i hate to pull npis unless i'm really thinking of stitching it quickly because then if there's something else that comes up they're stashed i don't mind so much as on my um kidding things if you watch brendan laura you saw the huge stack i unkitted some stuff and i had a lot of floss left over here's another one i cannot count my day complete until needle and thread needle thread and fabric knees another cathy barrett my day complete love that this one i must be serious about wanting to do quickly because it does have the after all that i just said this one does have the npis with it i love that this one is by not forgetting not forgotten farm of female arts in usefulness the needle far exceeds the rest you see that and it's called usefulness but that saying is on a couple other things too of female of female arts and usefulness the needle far exceeds the rest adorable and then a while back i collected these and i have another one somewhere i think i have needle and i don't know where it is but i'll find it this is called pin cushion and this is by who is this this is by just another button company i made this for my friend susan who's yard girl if you follow yard girl she's a fabulous quilter but she does do cross stitch also she said it's the biggest it was at least 12 inches long and i did it on pink like that red pair i think i used weeks red pair she was like oh my gosh i think i stuffed it with walnut shells it's huge but i love these like definitions you know just like how do you pronounce it all of that right from the dictionary love it and then i have this one now this is by cherrywood designs this is chart but in the same mode and this one is scissors i think there's also needle and thread and i'm pretty sure i have one more i don't know which i have they're kind of hard to find if they're still available and i know i have one more but i don't know what i did with it here's a hands-on design stitch over two all the day through done with two different pieces of linen adorable with the strawberry and the scissors so if i was doing mania this year i did do mania last year but i ended up only working on smalls and i usually would take two or three days and try to completely finish not ffo but finish the stitching and it worked out pretty good for me but this year i'm i'm just kind of into more of my samplers that i want to work on by the bay needle arts i am a needle smith i love that one love it love the little scissors pin cushion and spool up there did i say thimble on the other ones when they were they were spools i don't know i might have love it um this is by the good housewife it's called with my needle a good friend of mine and made she stitched this for another friend two people in our stitching group one stitched it and the other received it flowers plants and fishes beasts all right i gotta look right it's hard to read backwards flowers plants and fishes beast birds flies and bees hillsdales plains pastures sky seas rivers trees there's nothing near at hand or further sought but with my needle may be shaped and rot in other words you can stitch anything i love that here's another one by good housewife two pin keeps there again all of my scattering moments are taken up with my needle and i love this little pins needle scissors thread and cushion adorable a few more and then i'll let you go same sentiment all of my scattering moments are taken up with my needle again this is ellen bird's eye what was the last one called this one was called two pin keeps and the one before that was with my needle and this one is ellen bird's eye same sentiment all my scattering moments are taken up with my needle but look at all those birds how cool is that all the way around again by the good housewife i don't know if you can get these or not it'd be worth a try and somebody asked me about this quilt that's an older country threads pattern country threads was two women connie and mary and they had a shop on mary's farm that was in the chicken coop in garner iowa i've been a couple times to the actual store plus they came to jacksonville years and years ago i've worked at two different uh quilt stores here and the first one i worked at they came and they did a weekend two different um quilt patterns and um plus i've seen them and met them at market they stopped the shop closed a few years back i want to say at least five years ago the shop closed and they kept putting out a couple patterns i think they had a couple books um they do primitive um a lot of patriotic i was looking on ebay to see if i could find the name of that pattern and i couldn't find it but i know it's a country threads pattern so that's all i can tell you um this is needlework by kathy barrick again a spool and scissors and the little bird and the handle of the scissors love it i think it would be so fun to do all these and frame them and put them on like a wall in the sewing room maybe that can be my goal i don't know why i have houses of hawk run hollow in there i have no idea somebody got stuck in there this one i have kitted and i bought it kitted this is a stacy nash this one came out in 2011. i'll check it out because that's a blair's bed this one and one more and then i'm gonna let you go pins needles and scissors how cool is that very simple i should just sit down and do it so many times i see some of these small things and i think oh my goodness what is my deal you know i get caught up in big samplers you know for your party that's seven 700 stitches and i should just do these this was kitted um it wasn't country sampler i'm not sure where i i want to say i went to a quilt show and somebody had this kitted and then there's some different fabrics for the backings very primitive very cute i think i'm gonna leave this out red house or not that just looks oh the back has one too scissors oops so the front is needles scissors pins but then they shows you the back and this is actually a needle book for the big that's what the bigger piece of fabric is and you know i'm sure there's tons more of these kind of patterns that have you know stitching references or kind of sewing references or needles or threads whatever i just went through a few of mine to collect enough to show you today the last one i'm going to show you and this is a brenda gervais a needle pulling thread i love her her hips are so big or either there she has what were those skirt things called that were like a wire cage and they used to put their skirts over the top of it back in i don't know some queen victoria or some queen's era that'd be nice nobody know how big your hips were you could disguise big hips really easily oh my ah so anyway i think she's adorable especially with all her little buttons sewn on and that one i do have kitted some of brenda gervais call for some valdani threads which sometimes are kind of hard to find um sometimes they come on little balls round balls of thread and sometimes they come like this i i'm sure there's a difference but this is what i could find so i may just substitute a regular over dye for those it kind of has a um it's more of a muted palette i'm kind of becoming really fond of wood rose where is it that's a really pretty it's kind of a pinkish with a little orange overtones maybe and the fabric i have for that and this is what it's called for is 36 count mellow which goes along with that kind of yellowy because mellow tends to be kind of buttery and i think that is all i have to show you i hope you're doing well um things are different somebody had posted something i don't know where i saw this i don't keep track said well we're all in the same boat and somebody said no we're actually all in the same storm but not the same boat and things here in florida are different than they might be in some other state i think partly i've heard is because of our weather is warmer but either way i'm happy our quilt store's opening monday i'm not going to run go get anything because i have everything i need here for any craft or anything i want to do but um yes things are starting to open up and you know people just have to be cautious on their own um i've been to the grocery store i've been to the bank but it was drive through life is pretty normal for me because i tend to stay home a lot and i certainly will be working on these 15 quilts that i have staring at me so that's going to keep me busy in the next few weeks but hopefully i'll be back hopefully y'all are staying safe and not going crazy not too anxious about the situation but rather just kind of rest in this time when you spend more time with your family and more time stitching for sure so anyway it's good to see y'all you'll see me twice today thanks love you bye [Music]
