[Music] today we're going to introduce you to Saiga 12 this weapon is based on the Kalashnikov platform but it's a smoothbore semi-automatic shotgun the military version of Saiga 12 GSK special carabine is currently used by multiple Russian law enforcement units for door breaching and riot control Saiga 12 is chambered for 12 gauge round and it can use almost all loads from very light to hot you can shoot slugs you can shoot birdshot buckshot and even certain rubber bullets unlike standard a cake that uses a long-stroke gas system Saiga 12 uses a short-stroke gas system later we go in to disassemble this weapon let's look at the gas system in details now let's look at the external features of safety 12 it has a folding buttstock with a rotating cheek piece there is a Picatinny rail on the receiver cover and the receiver cover itself is hinged so it's even easier when you just assemble the weapon on the receiver cover you can mount all modern red dots and if you need to you can mount lights and lasers on the hand guard which also has a picatinny rails on the right side on the bottom Saiga 12 uses a standard rear side that is familiar to anyone ever shot an 80 and a standard front sight the results of the thread at the end of the barrel so if you want to use Saiga 12 for competition you can use it to mound if er InCommon satyrs and muzzle breaks that will make shooting this gun even flatter and help you win the competition [Applause] [Music] okay let's see how much recoil saiga-12 actually has as we can see given without the muzzle break the recoil is minimal unlike standard a cake saiga-12 actually has a bolt hold-open mechanism when you're out of ammo the bolt and bolt carrier lock to the rear to reload the weapon you need to replace the magazine with one that has ammo in it and then to drop the bolt you can either use the button or this bracket like you would normally do when you're loading the weapon to zero saiga-12 they'll have to use the same adjustment tool that you would need with any other a cake to adjust the windage you would need to push this drum either right or left if your bullets are going to the right push it to the right side if your bullets are going to the left push it to the left side the elevation adjustment is even easier you need to use another side of this tool or a little screwdriver so if your bullets are going down you screw the prone side in if there are too high you unscrew it and it's relatively easy very intuitive and if you ever had to zero in a cake you already know how to zero saiga-12 now let's see how to field-strip saiga-12 first of all you always have to check if the weapon is loaded the chamber is empty so we can safely disassemble it first of all we need to push a little button on the recoil mechanism and open the top cover it's hinged so you don't even need to take it off the weapon then we detach the recoil mechanism there is a little cover on the recoil mechanism it's not essential for function but it covers the working parts when you're shooting so house with their liability then would attach the bolt carrier and the bolt we separate the bolt from the bolt carrier next we need to remove the gas tube on the new weapon this lever can be quite stiff so if you cannot do it with your hands you can take a bulk hair and actually use the rails on the bull carrier as a leverage point now we're taking off the gas tube and all we have to do now is to take off the piston remember I said that it uses a short-stroke piston instead of a long-stroke piston so this is how it looks first of all this piston starts moving and that it moves the entire bolt carrier not really a very big difference from the AP and what's important is that the reliability is the same now we feel stripped the weapon and we can clean it and maintain it what you need to do is to first of all remove all the carbon for the brush you can use some kind of a solvent if you need to and then you need to oil the most critical parts of the working mechanism first of all the rails the rails on the bolt carrier the rails inside the receiver this is the most important parts that need to have oil in them you need oil to decrease the friction and for rust protection especially in a humid climate people you would also want to oil the pathway off the bolt you see bolt is moving in a very particular manner so adding oil here would decrease friction and increase reliability but generally there is no rocket science we know that a case work fairly well without any lubrication but if you want your weapon to serve and never let you down you better maintain it and make sure it has legal to assemble the weapon you just have to do everything in the reverse order first of all you put the piston inside you attach the gas tube don't forget to push down the lever then the bolt carrier goes inside a recoil mechanism make sure that the cover is on the outside of the ball carrier close it and you can also do a function check everything is working as intended saiga-12 is a very reliable easy to use an effective semi-automatic shotgun that can use almost any type of 12-gauge round so whether you need a shotgun for self-defense competition shooting or security company Saiga 12 would be a great choice [Music] [Music] you
