don't have nuts on we just stuck them in [Music] there put the NS on the Jo far as put slip off there's on the bottoms what are you going to do about lower control ons I'm going to order upper and lowers not afford we down so get close to laying but it would lay if we did something Upp if we cut p cut the uppers just temporary p cut them and put a little piece of plate in them just to keep them from folding and falling apart we can make it lay just for f e close enough you just take Upp control on off you really want to see it [Music] l John top the side of it he don't all hooked up look last time is uh I had a 84 to 94 uh Cherokee XJ steering shaft a lot of guys do this swap on the OBS Silverado um but I had one laying around so what I did was I split it and separated the two shafts and took about 3 in out of it and uh it works perfect on as10 now and it's a lot cleaner than that rag joint and I got some old small block swap headers here we were using for mockup trying to get a little more room so that's why this old rusty things here but yeah just want to show you guys that that looks so much better though what y'all doing back here I little a little air out so I can squish on it play with it I like the way the shots work they're doing their thing they're shocking not the [ __ ] shock simple-minded shut up all right so I need to clean up the cab Mount bolts and paint those I need to get this fuel cell crossmember off of here uh I'm going to have to do some notching on it so I can get the bottom straps welded on so we can put the top straps over and Bol it down and we still need to drill holes down here for the back mounts we can put bolts in that so we got some stuff to [Music] do I just want to be iconic sipping on a j andic got me going off and I'm on this topic if I ever play I want it you know that I'm always honest stay away from those are toxic your face way you don't want en up there you Notch it out right right the only point of welding you have is this weld this weld that Weld and that weld yeah how much do you think what is that 15 Gallons [Music] N I think it's 19 yeah 19 gallons 19 gallons of fuel and the only thing really holding it in is those welds right cuz cu the tank itself is not it's just strapped there but if you put it under it even if the wheel was to break it's still in caught in between this Frame You' have to break the strap and the frame and the frame that would be my only thing or you come in here and you mark it you get a grinder like a cut off wheel you just open up a thing slot and you just slot this in there that would be cool but do we have but I don't know if there's enough room after do we have a small enough cutting device to do that I got that little small one that's like those little 3 in ones yeah this angle [ __ ] gets thicker as it gets further back down here too so getting in there with a tiny little tool and working that you'll be here all day with that like I was saying Notch both sides drop it in you'll have more than just here here you can weld back here and you can weld back here and you are not going to BR these four welds any different than these four little tiny W right here these little four little tiny WS right here right but if you put just two and two are still stronger than you ever imagine four tack Wells would hold 19 gallons of fuel in a roll over estimate the power of Steel not the power of Steel that I was underestimate it's welding abilities it'sing damn that's good stuff God why are we friends I mean easy easy same question I woke up this morning said why the [ __ ] am I going to hang out with them why am my friends with these guys Jesus homeworking on my own [ __ ] like you want to take on a project I said no I don't I really don't especially not one that's fer Parts it's almost impossible [Music] so there's a gap up here too way it curves MH so this would actually do that and like said I wouldn't mind adding foam under this strap too so I do see what he's saying everything you add thickness to it's just going to bring it up that much [Music] higher I know where you're coming with I know where you're coming from with the phone you don't want anything to move and eventually like this thing doing this rub a hole through but if this [ __ ] is tight it ain't going it ain't going to if you tighten all that stuff good then this Ain going to happen same with this as tight as that's dropped in there that thing ain't moving around and it ain't going to sit there and squeak back and forth and wear a hole in it me you got to figure that stock tank had two straps they held it in yeah but they have rubber around them yeah but J too you put rubber on that you go to Lowe's and buy that door seal and literally when you put it on there and cinch it down it'll cinch down almost nothing but it give it some kind of right we know it's 29 and a half long that strap right there's got to be about where it's at your right strap's got to sit much there yeah I mean I know so I would just take a measurement from the end of the tank to that right strap and then hook it to the outside there you go and then I just make this the same as that strap 9 and A4 9 and a half what you at 9 and qu say it could probably come over to 9 and A4 9 and a qu yeah yeah yeah stra this one at 9 and a quter oh [ __ ] that's going to be way over how looks them all right got some of the brake lines back on the truck and uh got the uh front brake line mounting brackets got those wire brushed cleaned up got some black paint on those um obviously still got to order control arms and uh yeah all that but doing what we can [Music] we're fixing to ride over to John's house he's got my compressor mounts and he's got a TIG wer so we're going to let him play with his TIG w and see about tiing my compressor mounts together for me so we can figure out where they need to go on to chassis and uh yeah there's some junk in the backyard where John was stealing some parts but anyways all right guys we made it to John's house as you can tell his shop looks like my shop this is the uh OBS with the motor Ford motor swap mod Motor mod Motor mod Motor got the notch in it with the flip kit he's pretty much doing the same thing I've been doing cleaning the frame getting ready to paint it got all the framework done I think I've showed that in the video before clearance clearance clearance clearance clearance all the clearance so yeah we're going to play in shop in the John shop for a while now look him I wouldn't say it's great but something what's doing [Music] there all right guys we made it back from John's uh we're about to call tonight but uh just wanted to show y'all an update and uh show y'all what we're going to do with the compressor mounts where they're going kind of our ideas and uh we'll go from there so yeah where you putting them oh thank you thank you thinking thinking bin that a little bit there we go so something like that on the inside of the notch right in front of the axle that just like that at an angle follow the line of a notch yeah kind of just like that be kind of cool um and then the Tank's going to go right here on across this cross member we don't have a tank but right there be cool and we'll find somewhere for the valve blog once I decide which block I want to go with we could always get one of the little footprints for the block and make stands to weld on here and come up in front of the tank and hang it in front of the tank yeah and then has these little dudes chilling out down here kind of a cool spot for it yeah come out of the compressor hit the sides of the tank yeah keep it nice and clean looking everything tucked in clean if we wanted to we could back them up bring them all the way up here to have them a little higher yeah put the heads maybe turn them with the heads up yeah that's what I was thinking heads up put the heads up and then the leader hose come in into the side of the tank behind the tire there ni right be kind of neat yeah cool so if I had any brains at all I would have brought those 450s from the house they need rebuilds yeah but it's all good hopefully I'll get I'll get some soon a pair of 450s in the house that need new new heads and uh pair of 450s would pull a premium pair of 450s that need new uh cylinder walls and pistons if I can find a set to rebuild those I can use them for something get y'all put back on this stand here if I can figure out how to do it like that like so get you CL one of my favorite things back in the day people used to see my truck they say boy you think you can get that truck any low say I get a lot lower if the damn ground was in the way yeah it's coming along nicely yes I'm really happy with this truck going to be proud to see it drive down the road and show it off I'm happy with way turning that and M he got one pretty close to it it's round body but second same thing second again pretty much in about this condition cab and frame and a no yours ruins no I'm talking about the black R oh it's a regular C short be body trying to talk him into letting y'all see that one in the future if we can find some more parts we might uh do a round body just like this but uh yeah um well before we head out we just uh on to shout out Phil at Twisted images again and thank him for the gifts and we appreciate that and uh if we need from now on that's where I think we're going to get it that's right and Brian said hurry up and get a video out on that red dots in there more content on that red dots I think it's too too nice but I need uh inspiration content that's what I need yeah we got to know how to cut up the dots and make it lay like that I definitely need to see how that front was done yeah but uh all right
