[Music] [Music] [Music] what's going on guys back at it again today uh me and John got something a little different uh this is a 91 Silverado uh one of our subscribers reached out to us said he wanted some help getting this thing lower to the Earth so uh me and John F to get after it uh we're going to put a 46 was it MGO yeah M MGO drop on it with a mini Notch um last night I started on it I went ahead and got all the bed bolts out uh me and John's fixing to pull the bed and then we're going to get it in the shop and uh we're going to get after it [Music] all right guys here's the kit we're going with like I said the MGO 46 drop uh you got a 2-in drop spindle uh 2-in drop spring you got a mini Notch and a flip kit for the rear and we've got all new shocks as well to go along with it and uh as we put it on or whatnot if I can find the part numbers I'll try to give you all the part numbers um I have to look on the box and see what all what all it is but uh like I said we F to get started on it man we're going to knock out the back first and uh back it up a little bit so we can get to the front and move over to the front ready to do some work today sir oh yeah and um we're also going to sit about putting a fuel pump in it for him uh I know at one time he said that uh it act like it wanted to stutter a little bit so I told him I had a new fuel pump while we had the bed off we're going to go ahead and uh see about swapping that out for him too just to you know we know for sure it ain't [Music] that [Music] a little rusty have done that befor while I was out here last night stff yeah probably should have went ahead and sprayed everything it was cold though time I got bolts and all [Music] [Music] dropping the whole leaf spring pack or is it no you just dropping the front or just loosen them up loosen them up so you can uh drop the rear end and take a leaf spring if it's loose there and roll it the re end gotcha okay that bowl wasn't very tight you both seem to be in decent condition really know until we get that plate off to see what they the plate well I said if we need to go get a new s or I've got that whole bucket of all thems we got we gotts words there we might want to go look down okay that wors they're not terrible terrible but probably do better well they just a little bit at up I said what you doing I'm doing a drive sh no you ain't want to do it no why not not me you just going to walk it left and right yep okay yep no need for the drive sh we well damn you could told me got four bolts ago I reckon I didn't realize what you was do well let me tighten these back up yeah I figured you want to undo it and just like you know I just keep the drive shaft attached to it is it going to let it go far enough that way would the gas tank yeah I done this kit before you I know you have done The Notches before mhm we done a couple of them now oh yeah which I've had I've had flip kits before I flip kit a long time everything bag okay so the only thing we're going to need to do is stick some jack stands up underneath the frame there right well that kind of defeats the purpose of what I did there too I did that well that up can limit that some but all right that's Jack stand some jack stands right there [Music] though how many clicks you got four five I got one two three four five teeth shoulder two three four five you going in front of the hole the truck does already have a uh what is this two in drop shackle two drop shackle so um are we going to go back to a stock one you think I yeah I think I flip kit with the 2 in is going to be way too much too much okay so we are going to swap these to a stock shackle uh before we put the flip kit on just so he don't have a squat a squat TR all right we got a set of stock shackles uh we're going to clean them up paint them before we put them on just so they look good and uh yeah continuing on all right got that all done taking the bump stops out huh taking the bump stops out yeah that's hot I think one of the holes lines up with one of the holes in the frame could be wrong got the which one of those boxes come out of um I never used the M on before the V ones always had a like a template and then the react ones you know kind of PL for C Notch instructions I saw it came with no Temple I mean I feel like we got it the right way the shorter side to the front cuz if you put longer side to the front it' be this it here into this uh brake line Bend like I said I feel like one of these holes lines up I think right here we just need to make sure that the rear end centered you know I don't know if you want to do the flip of the axle yeah I'd say let's do that first and make sure you know our Center Line straight that's right so we'll do that okay we got to uh flip these bolts in the uh Lea P that's so if you got some clamps and uh some locking pliers Vice scrips to go over the two Big C clamps the clamp down the leaf spring pack together and then one pair of BCE scrips I guess they ain't got to be terribly Big C clamps but you know just enough though well that's why I was checking I didn't know if you want me to bring the ones that like foot tall or no just enough yeah that would be fine fire scrips what size is that a 13 should be yeah 13 or 15 there's a 13 on this see I a 15 on yep you right 15 no problem let me grab 15 I say here you want to hit it with that before you even put this on there just clean up threads a little bit sprits in the Luby [Music] doobie [Music] I was trying to yeah go back yeah so if you want to take the Jack and see if we can move the rear in that way this side way move you guys out the way all right now Jack up on oh sh the other way so you lit down oh no you ain't got to just you just got to move the handle that way all okay let's get our Shack bolted back in Bolt put in put our cups on we got to finish painting them oh yeah I got you all right guys we got the uh stock shackles back on there and uh we're fixing to put the flip kit bracketry on there is it this one's in crooked though oh is it yeah there we go let's go find some U bolts okay see if anything matches up down there okay all right guys we're back uh we found some new bolts that were in a lot better shape We just cleaned them up and now we're fixing the bolt down the flip kit where's that other there it is which uh hole did you the front one this hole Yeah and it goes like that okay [Music] which honestly should be that b hole that Bol hole right there if you wanted to just go from that Mark it yeah just mark it this way and then go straight down is that what you're thinking yeah that's what I'm thinking you got yours Mark or no I just went bed Center at the Bol hole and oh yeah I did Mark all that okay yeah surpris they didn't give us a template though yeah if we should get a piece of cardboard and make a template I mean it wouldn't hurt yeah just so we got you know what I mean straight line that I look in the box now look behind me CU I am blind I didn't see any cuz it was in that narrow that long narrow box and just go quarter inch above that then go a quarter inch above that yeah yeah cuz that that part you ain't got no scissors do you I do right there in the back of the toolbx see them I I stole them out of my kitchen and after we got done using them last time I cleaned them tried to give them back to my wife and she said no she did not want those back in her house so we got shop scissors now you to be fair we did have two pair in the house so I don't know where my St I had you know okay so that's room all this here we go [Applause] yeah okie dokie just make some [Music] noise [Music] [Music] ready to to drill some holes yeah a punch right here and I got the drill with the Dr rightel I do whatever you want me to do all you got to do [Music] is [Music] what's going on guys all right me and John uh got the back done and uh we went and grabbed some lunch and while we were gone somebody snuck in on us over there that fell D in the savannah already this morning uh but he brought back a nice little gift let me show youall what he brought so in earlier videos um on my S10 we went and bought a hood to try to match patina and uh the original owner of the truck Cory hit up Brian and was like hey man I've got the original hood to it so appreciate that Cory appreciate you looking out man cuz uh yeah that's the original hood off my truck and uh we're going to do our best to make it go back on there it'll match a lot better color blue and everything but uh anyways me and Brian and John F to get back on the front and uh finish this truck up for y'all get all the wiring harness out the frame rail and I went to cut the other side I said all right hold on to it it's fix the drop and as soon as he grabbed it started picking up to hold it the whole thing started I so yeah it's going to do that yeah as soon as it cut off at no I was like there he is [Applause] do you own any Tor R Tor Rangers yeah yeah I got okay what that deal that har freak's doing right now spend 40 bucks and get a free tool y one of the tools in that list is tor PR yeah I bought one when we did the heads on mys I went yesterday and spent $40 something doar and got it's a/2 in Drive click type Pittsburgh P rank yeah and and then went back later on to get some more and I was like well damn I'm over 40 bucks again I'm going to go get another torque R so I went and got the 3x gr 3x and a half it free torque wrenches what your regular price on like 20 bucks I'm like $20 torque ranches two 40 bucks worth of Tores is 40 bucks worth I'll take tet heads on the ls yeah all right John's got the uh spindle and the factory spring out and uh we got a set of MGO uh 88 98-2 2in drop Springs and the drop spindle is also 8898 as the part number so yeah easy enough part number to remember 88 98 [Music] 8898 drop spring in drop spindles on John's putting the rotor and all back on now just got to hook up tie rod in sway bar in link put a new shock in put the brake caler back on John you the man you're bad of the trucker you know that I said I might have done this once twice before yeah Brown I started to tell you to come in here and uh turn the heater on that way it can be preheating before we got back a damn heater in here might got I think I probably would came in here done that I said on the uh group chat last night that I was going to have a heater I didn't think nothing of it front shocks my 15510 for a 4 in [Applause] Dr filthy filthy filthy brand new white shot and the rear ones are mcoy 2050 for a 6 in drop 2050 for the rears and 15510 or 14510 excuse me for the [Music] fronts [Music] all right guys we got the front and the rear lower U I'm going to switch out the fuel pump for him real quick and uh soon as we get done with that then we'll get it outside get the bed back on it so y'all can take a look at [Music] it [Music] all right there's the Old Sock pretty nasty old pump got a new pump on the unit right there we just got to change the connect and we can go back together with it here connect all right guys there she is um still a few more little odds and ends I got to do on it U me and John spent about 6 hours on it today got the front done got rear done I just got through tightening up the bed bolts and putting the tailgate back on and plugging up the tail lights uh tomorrow I do need to take the front wheels off so one thing that you're going to run into if you do a 4 six drop and keep a 15in wheel the wheel does touch the upper control arm we thought we would run into something like that but um when you go to steer full lock the wheel wants to touch so we're going to have to try to address that um once I do that tomorrow I'll get it outside so y'all can get a better look at it all around around and uh we're going to go drive it and put a few miles on it just to make sure everything's good on it obviously he still needs to get in align um we found a couple other issues that he's going to want to address but uh overall man good looking truck and uh seems to run pretty good but uh damn sure lower than it was when it got here that's for sure but uh ordered this kit Thursday at like 3:00 2:30 3:00 from pH over at Twisted images and by lunchtime Friday I had it at my house so great service um can't say nothing about the guy uh we appreciate and supporting the channel as much as he does and uh anything we need from now on U for any of our projects as long as Phil carries it or can get it it's coming from him but uh all right guys so back in the shop this morning uh like I said I got to do some clearancing on the control arms it's barely touching on the back of the wheel and let me show y'all it's going to be right here this lower control arm we're going to have to go in and just take a little bit off right here so the wheel doesn't contact it but uh as far as I can tell that's the only place that is touching so we're going to do that check it do it on both both sides and go check it again and I'll let you know now the spindle it will touch the upper control arm but that's only at full droop so like I say he'd have to be airborne or the truck would have to be jacked up that'd be the only way that that would touch um so I think that's okay but uh let me get both of those clearance I'll show you what it looks like when I'm done and we'll go drive it again and see if that solves the issue [Music] all right guys I'm going to do the best I can showing you this uh one-handed but uh yeah basically if you want to do a 46 drop or a 4in drop in the front of your OBS without changing the control arm that's what you going to have to do to run a 15-in wheel take all that material out right there and just barely enough clearance I can get my finger in between that control arm and the wheel so so [Music] yeah all right guys just got back from a little cruise with the truck like I said I put about 15 miles on it um drives good obviously he needs to get some uh suspension parts done on the front and get an alignment not a big deal there he told me to make him a list which I did uh we appreciate Mr Larry watching our videos uh following along on the YouTube channel and appreciate him letting us lower his truck for him and uh filming all that and uh like I said huge shout out to Phil at Twisted images he got us to lowen kid extremely fast and uh that way we could do it this weekend and get y'all some video footage but uh yeah man awesome little truck I like it uh cruises good makes me miss my 90 regular cab but uh
