[Music] hello my name is Irwin and in this video I'm going to be sharing with you what is in my opinion the best graphics and visual settings for PVP and rust moving forward into 2024 now to reiterate this is just my opinion but as a player with over 7,000 hours I feel pretty confident about what I'm saying so sit back relax and enjoy the [Music] video now to get started in the options tab the first thing you're going to notice is your field of view it's probably going to be somewhere around 70 if I remember correctly that's that's actually the lowest you can go 7075 but uh as you can see this is this is pretty bad makes your gun huge and uh you can't really see your surroundings very well also makes it feel like you're moving slower but that's just an optical illusion I recommend cranking that all the way up to 90 so you can see all of your surroundings and it makes your gun smaller so it doesn't block more of your screen now moving down the list we have head Bob and Crosshair I have both of these options turned off head Bob is obvious kind of makes it kind of makes you sick Crosshair I have that off because I use an external Crosshair for rust which is allowed as we continue on down the list you're going to want to turn off HT flash Compass visibility you're going to want to have on that just that'll just allow you to have a compass HUD at the top of your screen very useful if you have teammates FPS counter I have it off cuz I was just recording a cinematic but yes you're going to want to have that on advaned plus ping is the most detailed one that's the one you're going to want to use nudity you're going to want to have that on underwear if you're streaming or recording High signs also you're going to want to have on if you're streaming or recording show blood you're actually going to want to have that turned off I'm not sure why it's on here and Max Gibbs you're going to definitely want to have that set to zero there's actually a very good reason for that if you don't know what that is basically Max Gibbs is when you destroy an object or a structure it breaks into little pieces you're going to want to have that off because let's say you're rating a wooden door or a wall stone wall and there's someone on the other side now if they have Max Gib set to zero and you have it set to what I don't know half or a th000 or what's the max it's like 2,000 yeah you have that set all the way you that cranked up all the way to 2,000 you're going to see a lot of debris they're not going to see anything and they're just going to beam you through the wall now moving on none of these other things are really visual related settings moving on to screen you're going to want to set your resolution to your native resolution which mine is 1920 x 1080 on full screen vsync you're definitely going to want to have off and FPS limit should be set to Max moving on to Graphics I have my Graphics quality set to ultra that's because I record and I want my videos to look crisp um however if you're going to if you're going to move around this list you might as well just do low or Ultra moving you know one at a time down the list isn't really going to improve your FPS much in my opinion and I usually don't play on potato because it makes the items in your inventory all pixelated and that just doesn't look nice render scale you're going to want to have on one Nvidia dlss I just have that all off Shadow quality I have it one a lot of people would just play at zero but I have it at one because it Smooths out the Shadows a little bit just makes it a little bit less visually impairing on your screen you'll see a lot of jittering if it's on zero which can get distracting if you're in the middle of a Fight Shadow Cades you're going to want to have set to no Cades Max Shadow light zero water quality Zero Water reflection zero Shader level I have set to 200 just to make the ground a little bit more detailed but you can set that to 100 if you want to be able to see items on the ground with ease draw distance I have maxed out if you're getting lag for maxing out your draw distance you're probably going to want to notch it down to like 750 if I wouldn't go all the way down to 500 just so you can see things from far away shadow distance 50 anistropic filtering 1 Parallax mapping zero these are all not necessary visual enhancements I don't really use Global rendering however you can turn it on if you want to be able to see bases from far away Global rendering distance like I said I haven't really used it much so you can adjust that to your own accord grass displacement is a big one if you're in the middle of dense grass it's very useful for seeing weapons that people drop out of their hands after you down them grass Shadows you're definitely going to have that off that's going to improve your FPS drastically Nvidia reflex mode if you have an Nvidia card you're definitely going to want to have that on plus boost and then moving down particle quality you're definitely going to to have it zero object quality I have set to 100 just so it looks better in videos you can put that all the way down if you want to improve your FPS I have my tree quality set to 100 just so I can see through the leaves it does help definitely worth it makes the gra makes the trees look better anyway Max tree matches I have set to 100 terrain quality zero grass quality 100 for the same reason as the trees makes it so you can see through the grass a little bit easier Decor quality zero now heading over to image effects the only things you're going to want to have on is maybe anti-aliasing and sharpen definitely turn off motion blur if you have it on but uh all the rest of this is kind of subject to what you think looks nice now EXP experimental effects I haven't really messed with these too much so you can decide what you want to do but I have a collision calling on which enables hiding objects behind walls and I have optimized loading on to partial GC buffer I have set to Max and other than that if you guys enjoyed the video please consider leaving a like and subscribing and please let me know down in the comments if you guys would like to see a controls video like basically the best key binds and controls for rust and if enough of you guys I will be sure to get that out to you I'll see you in the next video
