Great video by by jomboy as always, but holy smokes does TLR give me the creeps. Iβm glad we wonβt have to see him again for a while.
Did LaRussa pull βI know a guy..β come on!
I fuckin' love Jomboy.
My understanding is that the appeal was required. Essentially, the brewers were not saying mancado was forced or tagged out, they were saying he was out because of a baserunning infraction
Basically he was out because he left the field of play without actually touching home(he skipped that base). Because of this, the brewers had to appeal to try and get him out on the infraction, and then they could challenge their appeal to check if he did in fact skip home plate.
If Pina had ran up and tagged mancado, then they would have had to challenge normally, because he was tagged out.
Sort of a baseball newbie here, what's the appeal in this situation? He's saying they reviewed the appeal but I'm missing what that is exactly.
No loophole to get the review that was standard how you appeal a base running blunder. Burnes did not throw a pitch yet, appealed the base running mistake, umpired ruled and they challenged the umpire ruling well within the 20 secs allowed
