RTX 4070 SUPER installation guide: everything you need to know about the 12vhpwr cable!

hey guys crew man here with another cable install video in this video we're covering how to install the cable on the 4070 super now it comes with the 12volt high powerered adapter so you will need the cable that comes with it it will be a 28 pin to the 12 volt high power so a few things the first thing is I would not use a power supply that is under 700 Watts if you undervolt maybe you can get away with less but if you're watching this guy you probably don't know how to do that so I respectfully request that you use a 700 W power supply or more to be safe second when you install the power supply um you want to make sure that when you plug in the cables if your power supply has a uh pigtailed eight pin you don't want to use both you use one eight pin right here to one of the pigtails see like this like that you do not plug in this one no no no no do not do not do this that is wrong that will destroy your cable and probably melt your power or melt your cable don't do that you go one and then you get a full another cable and you get one so basically like one and one right there okay now before you install your cable you might if you need to bend it or you need to do anything like that I would recommend bending it just uh if you depending on depending on the clearance in your case then finally when you're ready to install now you want to install this before you put this in your case so get this installed and then you install the GPU so the first thing you want to do is you want to preit it so you want to just slide it into the slot like so ready just so you could see it slid in I pre-s slide it in just to make sure it fits okay so then when you once you slide it a little bit closer I'm going to zoom in for this just so you can see it you ready okay now we pre-fitted it now we're going to put it in you're going to hear a click you ready you heard that click that means it's safe that means it's good one thing you can check is you can check to see if there's any gaps between the cable and the GPU if you see any gaps that's not that means it's not safe so now we are complete it is done and you can install this into your your PC again let's go over the three things you need to know you do not connect pigtailed pcie connectors only one single one per adapter or per pigtail if your power supply only is one of these you need a better power supply has to be 700 Watts and has to have at least two pcie eight pins next when you install this you want to preit it and then you want to listen when you put it in you want to listen for the click which we've already done and then after that you can install it into your power supply or I'm sorry into your computer whether you want to plug in the power supply cables or not before you install it into your PC that is up to you um you know it really just depends on the size of your case your there's a lot of factors that I can't help you with there so that's it guys thank you for watching please like And subscribe for more cable installation videos crew man out
